government is an evil thing, it spends a considerable amount of energy of disguises itself as a democracy but more often then not they do not care to represent the people and just turn society into what the powerful want it to be. it rots people and turns them evil. that's what school does. they act like people could would not learn to read or write without the scheduled violence inflicted on them in school. but this is only the pretend-reason for why they force it on people. the real reason is they want to train kids to become soldiers through pavlovian methods.
this love you speak of in a healthy culture would be between people but in this corrupted state you have to love yourself, be the love that you want to see in the world. once you realize you can do that, you are no longer a puppet that is manipulated by the threat of love being withheld from you. when you produce it yourself, you can no longer be blackmailed to gain tiny rations of it.
