Not OP, but yes, a lot. Post yourself and keep things active that way, and then just wait. The comfiest board of this kind that ever existed was Magicchan, and it was slow and had very few users - but one quality post a week was so much better than the one-sentence spam you get most places that it was worth it. Then it died, like everything else good. I remember 8chan's r9k, it was fantastic, at least for my money. I tried to get the board back as soon as 8kun came back up but for whatever reason, it didn't work no matter what board name I used, and I gave up. I don't know how many of those robots are still even around, and I don't know exactly what kind of userbase you're looking for, but my worst nightmare is for this board, like so many others, to try and advertise itself only to have it flooded by a bunch of teenagers on their phones.

I get this too, it's the worst. I find certain types of entertainment can overcome it, or instead something less entertaining but more mentally engaging and slightly stressful and frustrating (like a tough game). I managed to overcome it a bit recently by dealing with some of the irl sources of the stress, but now I know that my brain can scream at me like that I'm prepared for if it comes back.

This is a pretty easy one to puncture because I've engaged with what people call real art and real culture, and not only do I still love anime and video games, I love anime and video games that are supposedly for babies like Kyattou Ninden Teyandee and Super Mario Bros. I'd recommend checking out Wagner's Ring Cycle, it's basically like Lord of the Rings, the music is good and you can watch it online with subtitles like it's an anime. Regardless it's fairly easy to find a piece of 'high art' that you can stomach and consume it, and once you do I think you'll find it's not exactly world-shattering, some of it's quite good but it is still just art, it doesn't make comics and vidya seem as though it has not the merit to even exist as some people like to LARP.
