LOS ANGELES - Fireworks are not the only spectacle in store for sky-gazers this Fourth of July.

U.S. residents reveling in Independence Day festivities will get a prime-time view of a penumbral lunar eclipse that is expected to take over the night sky starting at 11:04 p.m. EDT (8:04 p.m. PDT) on July 4 and end at 1:56 a.m. EDT on July 5 (10:56 p.m. PDT on July 4), according to Almanac.com.

The eclipse will be brought on by what’s commonly known as the “Full Buck Moon,” and will be visible from most of North America, except the northernmost regions of Canada and Alaska.

While the celestial showcase is certainly something to look forward to, experts say this specific type of eclipse is bit harder to notice.

According to Earthsky.org, there are three kinds of lunar eclipses: a total eclipse, a partial eclipse and a penumbral eclipse.

“This third kind of lunar eclipse [penumbral] is much more subtle, and much more difficult to observe, than either a total or partial eclipse of the moon,” the website explained. “Then again… very observant people will notice something strange happening on the moon, even while not knowing an eclipse is taking place.”

The website writes that in a penumbral lunar eclipse, the Moon doesn't go into the Earth's main darker umbra shadow, making this eclipse in particular, harder to observe.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac says that July’s full moon is called the “Buck Moon,” marking the time of year that wild bucks’ antlers are fully grown, according to Native American folklore.

The July full moon is also known as the “Thunder Moon,” due to the frequency of thunderstorms during the season, according to the Almanac.

The defense also criticized Howard during Tuesday’s hearing for previously making two stunning allegations when announcing felony charges against officers Garrett Rolfe and Devin Bronson at June 17 news conference. Rolfe attorney Noah Pines said his client never kicked Brooks as he lay dying on the pavement and never uttered the phrase, “I got him,” after shooting Brooks twice in the back, as Howard claimed.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Jane Barwick set bond on Rolfe who faces charges including felony murder, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, violating his oath of office, and failing to render medical aid. Prosecutors contend that while both officers did render medical aid to Brooks, they waited about two minutes before doing so.

At the DA’s request, Rolfe has been held without bond since the charges were filed.

UFC veteran cutman, Don House, has faced a great deal of backlash from people for wearing a certain organization’s on his sleeve during UFC on ESPN 11.

With the intention to promote the message of unity, Don House wore a QAnon patch during UFC on ESPN 11. He has come to regret this decision, as it didn’t align with UFC staff outfitting policies. Even an official statement from a promotion member said the same.

Since a reporter from Bloody Elbow pointed this out, the UFC has come forward and disavowed any affiliation or any sort of relation with QAnon. They have even begun investigations on the matter and have also asked no one to wear any such patches in the future.

The “Q” symbol and “WWG1WGA” that Don House wore on his sleeve are supposedly hallmarks of the group. He has said he has no kind of affiliation with the group, but he does agree with their message of unity. He agrees with their “Where we go one, we go all” slogan and will continue to do so. House also said his relation with the group is casual and he isn’t involved in any direct actions they take.

Speaking with MMA Fighting, he said, “I always read this stuff where they say this is a spiritual group. Some say they’re a part of child trafficking. No. They’re the complete opposite of that. They’re trying to expose that.”

Don House certainly regrets his steps and he has come forward and spoken. He said, “If I’d known I’d get this much flack, I would have never worn the thing, to be honest with you. Mayor Coppinger considering making masks in public mandatory

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn (WDEF) –

Coronavirus cases continue to rise with over 43,000 in the state of Tennessee and over 2,400 in Hamilton County.

Many states are now making masks mandatory in public due to the rise in cases, will Tennessee do the same?

Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger says he is now considering the mandate for the county.

“It’s going to be around for a long time. We have to learn to coexist with the virus and as a result of that one of the things we know that helps is masks. That’s why consideration is being given right now to mandating the use of masks,” says Mayor Coppinger.

Mayor Andy Berke says even though Governor Bill Lee took away the city’s power to mandate a mask law, he knows something needs to be done since voluntary mask wearing isn’t working.

An Environmental Health and Safety Lawyer says wearing a mask is one of the easiest ways you can save lives.

“It’s such a non intrusive simple thing to do. It doesn’t hurt. You don’t have to get poked or probed,” says Michael Mallen, Environmental Health and Safety Lawyer.

City Officials say whatever the decision is on the mandating of masks , it’s not about politics it’s strictly about the safety of others.

“It’s about what can we do to minimize the spread in our community and is it the right decision and when will it be the right decision? One of the things I truly believe in is that people fought and died for us to have those liberties that we have. I am totally one hundred percent supportive of people being able to make their own choices. However, we’re looking at another situation where your behavior can impact somebody else negatively. On Tuesday, the same day that Joe Biden finally emerged to hold his first press conference in 89 days in order to lash out at what he called Trump's "dereliction of duty" over the NY Times Russian bounties for Taliban militants to kill American troops in Afghanistan story, The Wall Street Journal issued this bombshell:

The National Security Agency strongly dissented from other intelligence agencies’ assessment that Russia paid bounties for the killing of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, according to people familiar with the matter.

The disclosure of the dissent by the NSA, which specializes in electronic eavesdropping, comes as the White House has played down the revelations, saying that the information wasn’t verified and that intelligence officials didn’t agree on it.

As we noted before, it appears a return this week to mainstream media's prior years of near daily breathless Russiagate reporting, with "anonymous intelligence sources" issuing new leaks of unvetted raw intel to the press.

The WSJ points out that it was primarily the NSA's firm dissent that kept the Russian bounties allegation out of the president's daily briefing — which both further confirms the White House's denials of the initial Friday Times reporting, as well as contradicts the NYT "revelation" itself.

"Because of that [NSA dissent], President Trump was never personally briefed on the threat, the White House said, although a key lawmaker said the information apparently was included in written intelligence materials prepared for Mr. Trump," WSJ underscores.
