Accusing Democrats of a coordinated effort to "steal the election," Republican Senate candidate Rick Scott filed explosive lawsuits late Thursday against the top election officials in two heavily Democratic counties, as three major races in the state appeared headed for recounts and votes continue to be tallied.

In his lawsuit against Broward County, Scott and the National Republican Senatorial Committeee (NRSC) allege that officials there are continuing to hide critical information about the number of votes cast and counted. And in a parallel suit against Palm Beach County, Scott and the NRSC charge that the election supervisor illegally used her own judgment to determine voter intent when reviewing damaged absentee ballots.

"I will not stand idly by while unethical liberals try to steal an election," Scott, who is currently Florida's governor, said at a press conference outside the Governor's Mansion, as he slammed potential "rampant fraud" in the race.

Keith Ellison on Thursday officially stepped down from his role as the Democratic National Committee's second-in-command. Ellison was elected Minnesota attorney general in Tuesday's midterm elections, despite ongoing controversy over allegations of abuse by his former girlfriend.

"Keith's decision means Minnesotans will have a full-time champion fighting for affordable health care, a fair economy, and opportunity for all," DNC chair Tom Perez wrote in an email advising supporters he had accepted Ellison's resignation. "His tireless service as deputy chair enabled us to make substantial progress in rebuilding our party and rebuilding trust with our grassroots."

Ellison on Tuesday defeated Republican opponent Doug Wardlow to become Minnesota's incoming top lawyer, and the first Muslim to win statewide office in U.S. history.

But Ellison's campaign for attorney general was at risk of being derailed by allegations he abused his former longtime girlfriend Karen Monahan. Ellison has vehemently denied Monahan's claims, and a probe launched by Minnesota's state Democratic Party, called the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, reported in October that it had not found any evidence to substantiate Monahan's story.

Perez has been pressed on why Ellison was allowed to stay on at the DNC following Monahan's accusations.

"I think Keith Ellison's ex-girlfriend deserves to be heard, and deserves to be treated with dignity, and deserves to have a fair and full investigation, and that's exactly what has been done," Perez told CNN this month just before the 2018 midterm elections.

While the Nation is preoccupied with the appointment of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy, it appears there will soon be another vacancy on the US Supreme Court

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had a re-occurrence of malignant melanoma, she has told her law clerks. Ginsburg was treated in 1999 for colon cancer and had surgery in 2009 for pancreatic cancer.

She has told key Democratic members of the Senate about her medical condition, including randing Democratic member of the Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein. This explains in part the "take no prisoners" attitude of the Democrats during the Kavanaugh nomination, carefully orchestrating weak 37 year old allegations against Kavanaugh by Women he barely remembers knowing in High School and College.

Kavanaugh is a player in this drama. He's in the wrong place at the wrong time . President Donald J Trump will be replacing Notorious RBG, the lovechild of the left, and so will remake the Supreme Court for a generation. The Democrats simply must win back the Senate in November 2018, progressives feel.

Ginsburg, 85 was appointed by President Bill Clinton and took the oath of office on August 10, 1993. She is the second female justice (after Sandra Day O'Connor) of four to be confirmed to the court (along with Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, who are still serving). Following O'Connor's retirement, and until Sotomayor joined the court, Ginsburg was the only female justice on the Supreme Court. During that time, Ginsburg became more forceful with her dissents, which were noted by legal observers and in popular culture. She is generally viewed as belonging to the liberal wing of the court. Ginsburg has authored notable majority opinions, including United States v. Virginia, Olmstead v. L.C., and Friends of the Earth, Inc. v. Laidlaw Environmental Services, Inc.

Ginsburg was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Russian Jewish immigrants. Her older sister died when she was a baby, and her mother, one of her biggest sources of encouragement, died shortly before Ginsburg graduated from high school. She then earned her bachelor's degree at Cornell University, and was a wife and mother before starting law school at Harvard, where she was one of the few women in her class. Ginsburg transferred to Columbia Law School, where she graduated tied for first in her class.

Following law school, Ginsburg turned to academia. She was a professor at Rutgers School of Law and Columbia Law School, teaching civil procedure as one of the few women in her field. Ginsburg spent a considerable part of her legal career as an advocate for the advancement of gender equality and women's rights, winning multiple victories arguing before the Supreme Court. She advocated as a volunteer lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union and was a member of its board of directors and one of its general counsels in the 1970s. In 1980, President Jimmy Carter appointed her to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, where she served until her appointment to the Supreme Court.

President Trump considers Kris Kobach, Lindsey Graham, Chris Christie, Rudy Giuliani for attorney general

President Trump is considering a handful of loyalists as possible replacements for Jeff Sessions after his unceremonious exit as attorney general, people familiar with the matter said Thursday.

Following months of public spats, Trump finally fired Sessions on Wednesday and replaced him temporarily with the AG’s chief of staff Matthew Whitaker, a political appointee who now oversees special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation — despite being a vocal critic of it.

Trump didn’t immediately nominate a permanent replacement for Sessions, but sources familiar with the matter said the President is mulling at least five people for the top law enforcement post. High on list is Kris Kobach, the controversial Kansas secretary of state who headed Trump’s defunct commission on voter fraud, which folded earlier this year after it was unable to prove the President’s claim that millions of people voted illegally in the 2016 election.

“With the expanded majority in the Senate, it could very well happen,” a GOP insider familiar with the matter told the Daily News about Kobach, referencing the Republican upper chamber gains in Tuesday’s midterm elections.

Kobach, a longtime Trump booster who just lost a gubernatorial race in Kansas, was considered for a number of cabinet-level positions at the outset of Trump’s presidency, including secretary of Homeland Security.

Another possible contender is Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of Trump’s most vocal supporters in Congress.

The Republican South Carolina senator was spotted walking into the Oval Office with Trump on Thursday morning, less than 24 hours after the President canned Sessions.

Unlike many Trump loyalists, Graham has not sided with the President in accusing Mueller of orchestrating a political “witch hunt.”

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was also at the White House on Thursday, according to NBC News. A person familiar with the matter said he’s also on Trump’s list of possible AG nominees.

However, a Christie nomination would likely be met with skepticism from Trump’s family members — particularly son-in-law Jared Kushner, whose father Christie prosecuted on tax evasion and witness tampering charges in the early 2000s, resulting in a 14 month prison sentence.

Rudy Giuliani was another name dropped by Republican operatives familiar with the President’s thinking.

The former New York mayor has served as Trump’s top lawyer and main media mouthpiece in the Russia investigation, frequently blasting Mueller on national television and demanding the special counsel wrap it up.

However, Giuliani’s contentious public divorce proceedings in New York could make him an unattractive candidate to helm the Justice Department.

During a hearing in Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday, an attorney for Giuliani’s third ex-wife, Judith Nathan, revealed the former mob prosecutor recently spent $12,000 on cigars and more than $7,000 on fountain pens.

Giuliani did not respond to a request for comment.

I think the emotional roller coaster ride is for the left. They think they win something we snatch it away. They get up then get heart broke. We are playing with our food basically. Wearing them out mentally so when we finally move against them most of them will have checked out already. Only the Mkultra or the truly evil will remain. Less people to damage that way.
