FAANG (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix & Google) realized that with the Internet, they were going to lose their grip on the traditional controlled media. Since they were losing control of the "pipe for news," they had to re-establish power by deligitimizing the pipes they don't own while continuing to buy up every screen and media property possible to reconsolidate their power.
Amazon now owns TV, shopping, Indie shopping (Whole Foods), books, online books, online audio, traditional media (WAPoo), damn near US mail, home security and surveillance (Ring doorbell), in home autonomous control (Alexa), nearly all the web hosting that serves everything else (AWS), now theatre. I'm sure next it will be the screens on the gas pumps, in the airports and I'm not sure whether they've begun rolling up radio. They already bought pillpack, so there are our drugs. They are said to be looking at Macy’s, Target, and Wayfair. Also, they may be looking at Lyft (there goes your free movement.)
Where are the antitrust people? They broke up AT&T when it was just damn phones. We all have played Monopoly…I don't understand why no one has stepped in. Perhaps it's part of the plan because if AMZN is found to be complicit in crimes, under the EOs from December, with one action/transaction they can liberate that expanse of media properties and screens–which of course equates to freeing OUR MINDS.
Feels like shits popping off this week. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

The CIA chief John Own Brennan had a clandestine meeting with Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Friday (February 21) during a short trip to Rawalpindi, which was kept highly secret by both sides.

Defunct Nuclear Power Plant On California Coast Is A "Fukushima Waiting To Happen"
The aging San Onofre, located in San Clemente, CA, was shut down in 2012 amid a leak that occurred due to malpractice. According to a report released in 2016, the plant “operated the reactor outside the allowable limits for pressure and temperature, causing the radiation leak that shut down the facility for good,” the San Diego Tribune noted. The shutdown also launched extensive investigations that implicated both the power company and state regulators.
Though the plant is out of operation, it still stores 3.6 million pounds of lethal radioactive waste, and according to a worker who blew the whistle on the plant just last week, a near catastrophe just occurred. As local outlet the Dana Pointer reported, plant worker David Fritch explained what happened at a public meeting:
“On 3 August 2018, a 100-ton canister filled with highly radioactive nuclear waste was being ‘downloaded’ into a temporary transport carrier to be moved a few hundred yards from inside the plant to a storage silo buried near the world-famous San Onofre beach. As the thin-walled canister was being lowered into the transport cask, it snagged on a guide ledge four feet from the top. Crane operators were unaware that the canister had stopped descending and the rigging went completely slack, leaving the full weight of the heavy canister perched on that ledge by about a quarter-inch.
“Had the ledge not held for the hour or more it took workers to realize and address the error, the thin-walled canister of highly toxic nuclear waste would have fallen 18 feet to the ground below.”
Each canister reportedly has as much radiation as was released during the infamous Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Bottom line: these nice, normal women don’t feel comfortable being members of a club full of haters.
The Democratic Party no longer fits their personalities, their values, or their self-image as loving, caring, tolerant human beings. The coup de grace is when they realize they are not free in their liberal social circles to utter one word of doubt or criticism of the party line. If they do, they find themselves attacked and ostracized. That is truly the end for them as Democrat voters.

Initially blamed her actions on a masked gunman.
In a horrific story out of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, a woman has been arrested and charged with the rape of a child after posting a video on social media of herself sexually assaulting a 5-year-old boy.
Police arrested the woman, Corby Kinzey, 24, Tuesday night at her home in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. After initially blaming a masked gunman for her actions, she broke down and admitted to everything.
"The investigation began when the mother of Kinzey’s former boyfriend reported the incident to police," CBS Pittsburgh reports. "She showed video of the incident to police, which she had received from her son’s new girlfriend. The new girlfriend had found the video on her social media account earlier in the day."

Federal judge orders Trump to reinstate Obama's Waters of the US rule
A federal judge issued a nationwide injunction Thursday against the Trump administration for delaying the Obama-era Waters of the United States rule, dealing a setback to a key piece of President Trump's deregulatory agenda.
The decision by the U.S. District Court in South Carolina means that the so-called Clean Water Rule is again operative in 26 states where district courts have not halted the regulation. Former Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt signed a finalized regulation in February delaying the Waters of the U.S. rule until 2020 to allow the agency to go through a process of rewriting a more modest version of it. Opponents said EPA avoided the customary 30-day waiting period between the rule's finalization and its effective date, circumventing the Administrative Procedures Act, or APA. “As administrations change, so do regulatory priorities,” said Judge David Norton, an appointee of George H.W. Bush, in his ruling. “But the requirements of the APA remain the same. The court finds that the government failed to comply with these requirements.” Molly Block, an EPA spokeswoman, said the agency is reviewing the judge's order. "EPA and the Army [Corps of Engineers] will review the order as the agencies work to determine next steps," she told the Washington Examiner.
The National Association of Manufacturers, a defendant in the case, said it would appeal the decision. “The ruling is problematic because it creates a patchwork of states where the WOTUS rule applies and others where it does not," said Peter Tolsdorf, the association's deputy general counsel. The Southern Environmental Law Center represented nine groups, including Charleston Waterkeeper and the Coastal Conservation League, in filing a lawsuit over the Trump administration's delay of WOTUS. At the same time, 11 Democratic state attorneys general filed a similar lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
The Obama administration rule, published in June 2015, intended to clarify which waters and wetlands are protected by the Clean Water Act and are subject to federal regulation by the EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers. Farmers, ranchers, and developers said the rule violated their property rights, forcing them to protect the streams and tributaries that flow through their land. The EPA recently sent its draft replacement rule to the White House for review, and it should be made public soon. Under the proposal, the EPA and the Army Corps would enforce the water regulations under the older, limited definition of waterways, which included primarily large bodies of water like rivers.

Amazon now owns TV, shopping, Indie shopping (Whole Foods), books, online books, online audio, traditional media (WAPoo), damn near US mail, home security and surveillance (Ring doorbell), in home autonomous control (Alexa), nearly all the web hosting that serves everything else (AWS), now theatre. I'm sure next it will be the screens on the gas pumps, in the airports and I'm not sure whether they've begun rolling up radio. They already bought pillpack, so there are our drugs. They are said to be looking at Macy’s, Target, and Wayfair. Also, they may be looking at Lyft (there goes your free movement.)
Where are the antitrust people? They broke up AT&T when it was just damn phones. We all have played Monopoly…I don't understand why no one has stepped in.
