Ukrainian Defence Ministry Advisor Drops Bizarre UFOs Encountered By Military Amid Pentagon's Disclosure

A senior advisor to Ukraine's Minister of Defense has gone public with details of a formal Ukrainian military program dedicated to tracking and studying unidentified flying objects (UFOs), revealing the effort has been underway since the early days of the war with Russia.
Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov shared the information on Telegram, disclosing that the Ukrainian Armed Forces operate under an official directive on the matter, sanctioned at the highest military level by the Commander-in-Chief.
He framed the program as a national security necessity, arguing that unidentified aerial activity over Ukrainian territory cannot be dismissed when it may represent previously unseen weapons technology deployed by Russian forces.
Beskrestnov traced his own involvement back to 2023, when he shared frontline reconnaissance footage capturing an aerial anomaly.
Shortly after posting the stabilized clip, Beskrestnov was approached by officials from a Ukrainian state institution that he says has quietly handled such investigations since the Soviet period.
He stressed that UFO research is no longer the domain of civilian curiosity in Ukraine, as it has become an active military intelligence concern. A formal UAF document governing the study of such phenomena, he noted, is already in place and operationally used.
Members of the public and military personnel who have captured unidentified objects on camera are being directed to submit their footage to uap@gur.gov.ua, with Beskrestnov emphasizing that firsthand visual evidence from the field could carry significant intelligence value.
His comments arrived as the Pentagon moves forward with a declassification of millions of UFO-related records, following a directive issued by President Trump.
On May 8, 2026 the Department of War released the first set of 162 UFO files, of which only 158 are live on the portal.
