Between cheering the whirlwind that has blown through official Washington and harboring anxiety over the real direction of the revolution, perhaps what has affected me the most this first month of Trump 2.0 is coming face to face with a completely artificial world that had been created with billions of US dollars and thousands of US and foreign personnel in the service of not the "deep state" but the "deeper state."

What do I mean? The dismantling of USAID, for example, has revealed a global system of disinformation and fake news that had been carefully knitted together under the guise of support for "independent media" overseas. This has gone on - and expanded - for decades.

Some 90 percent of media outlets in Ukraine, for example, were fake. They were simply fronts for the covert part of the CIA and the regime change system that pumped out as truth that which its masters wanted to appear to be true.

Where did the idea that "Ukraine is winning, just a few more hundred billion dollars and we'll take down Putin" originate? It was cooked up not among the "independent media" in Kiev reporting truths from on the ground in the war zone, but in Washington's halls of power.

Like the virus in Wuhan the lies they constructed then escaped, making their way around the world as fact. The massive lie drove policy in Washington and in Western capitals. The massive lie cooked up at the behest of the USAID masters sent an entire generation of Ukrainian men to the slaughter in pursuit of a goal that was never attainable.

Those who challenged the manufactured lies were savaged as "Putin's apologists" and deliverers of Kremlin talking points. "No one else is saying this," they would repeat. And it was true because the rest of them were all on the payroll and were spreading disinformation to the rest of the world.

I believe this is the greatest scandal in United States history. They created an entirely fake world similar to the one exposed in the classic film, The Matrix. Do you really want to know the ugly reality? Do you want to take the red pill and see how deep goes the rot? How murderous the "deeper state" really is, sending millions to the slaughter in the pursuit of an impossible foreign policy?

Imagine what immoral monsters were pulling the levers from afar!

It was the artificiality of the party-created communist world that led many dissidents to lose their minds. This was explained perhaps best in Orwell's oft-cited masterpiece 1984. It was also brilliantly explained in Arthur Koestler's equally monumental book, Darkness at Noon. It is not enough to be loyal to The Party. You must believe in your heart those things that your head tells you are not true.

The surface of this scandal has not even been scratched. And the focus is on Ukraine because that is most in the news. But the fake world USAID created around Ukraine was replicated across the globe. US policy was determined based on false inputs generated by US policy! The snake was eating its own tail.

Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie - When I was County Judge Executive in Lewis County Kentucky, I was responsible for signing the check that paid for every phone landline and cellphone billed to the county.

At first it seemed impossible to ferret out the waste, fraud, and abuse for these phone plans.

How many phones were taxpayers paying for that were defunct? How many were former county employees who were no longer employed but had been able to keep their phone and mooch off the taxpayer? Was any of it fraudulent or inaccurate billing by the service provider?

But then I came up with an idea… I told every county department (Sheriff, Clerk, Road Crew, Jail, etc.) to give me a list of their phones matched to their county employees or offices.

In one month, I would DEACTIVATE EVERY PHONE that wasn’t on one of these lists.

A month went by and only about 80% complied with the directive to list their phones. I gave them one more month and issued a serious warning that their phones would be turned off at the end of the next month.

Finally, I directed the phone company to deactivate all phones that weren’t accounted for. Guess what?

The jailer called me up and said the finger print machine wouldn’t send finger prints to the state police anymore. Ha! That was the only legitimate phone line that I deactivated. We quickly got it reactivated.

I ended up saving our county thousands of dollars on the phone bill, much to the chagrin of the phone company and a few moochers who no longer had free phone plans. I think most of the savings came from phones that just weren’t in service but had been left on the bill.

Why do I tell this story? Because what Elon is doing by asking federal employees to list five things they did in a week is brilliant. Requiring any kind of an affirmative response from a worker will prove whether that worker even exists and can be reached. Don’t forget, the Inspector General for Afghanistan found out we were paying millions for soldiers and police in Afghanistan who didn’t even exist (ghost employees). There’s no telling what Elon’s plan will uncover. We will find some employees can’t use email or aren’t even literate enough to write five things. So everyone take a chill pill and write down your five things to let us know you exist and you can read email and you aren’t completely insubordinate. Then we can clean the roster.

Maryland, which solidified the federal government's ability to take actions not explicitly mentioned in the Constitution and restricted state action against the legitimate use of this power. As a precaution, always use extreme hot water, and after towel drying use a coiled heater, hair dryer, or hand dryer. Crack knuckles by grabbing the base of the first flange on the side and cracking finger "side ways" by using the Cue hand symbol between the base of the flange and the first joint, and then a slight twist at base.
