The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has issued a major ruling on the Second Amendment, declaring that federal prohibitions on gun sales to adults between the ages of 18-20 are unconstitutional. The case is Reese v. ATF. For gun rights advocates, it may have been better if this decision had been handed down during the Biden Administration. The Trump Administration will likely support the ruling and might not appeal to the Supreme Court.

The case concerns 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(b)(1) and (c)(1), and related regulations, including 27 C.F.R. §§ 478.99(b), 478.124(a), and 478.96(b). These provisions are the basis for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to bar Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) from selling or delivering handguns to adults under the age of twenty-one.

As the Gateway Pundit and others have reported, MSNBC suffered a massive ratings crash after the election and has still not recovered. The network’s primetime lineup just posted their worst January ever in the most important demographic.

Things are so bad that the network cut Rachel Maddow’s pay and brought her back on the air five nights a week (she had been working only one). Having Rachel back on through the week does not appear to have helped. They’re still circling the drain.

Despite the busy month of major news, MSNBC averaged only 63,000 demo viewers between the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET to finish No. 31 among cable offerings. By comparison, Fox News Channel averaged 353,000 demo viewers during primetime and ratings-challenged CNN even managed an average of 118,000 demo viewers to almost double MSNBC.

DePauw University professor Jeffrey McCall said advertisers typically want to do business with networks that deliver viewers from the key demo.

So MSNBC had an average of 63,000 viewers in the key demo during primetime? For context, there are more people living in Missoula, Montana than there were watching MSNBC during primetime in January. Think about all of the huge stories that broke over the last month, not to mention Trump’s historic inauguration, the cabinet hearings, etc. MSNBC couldn’t even maintain a strong audience with all of that happening.

Costco Boosts Hourly Pay To Over $30 Amid Union Tussle

Retailer Costco Wholesale has announced it will hike hourly pay for most fixed-wage U.S. store workers to more than $30.

Hourly pay for top-tier employees will be increased by the company in a phased approach over the upcoming three years with the pay rising by $1 to $30.20 in the first year.

It will be followed by an additional $1 each in the subsequent two years, Reuters reported, citing a memo sent to the employees.

The pay hike follows Costco's contract talks with the Teamsters union, which represents over 18,000 Costco workers nationwide and voted to authorize a nationwide strike for improved pay and perks. The final round of talks is ongoing to reach a new contract before the Jan. 31 deadline.

Concerning the Lear 55 that crashed last night in Philadelphia. One possible cause of this crash and the one that I believe is the most likely, is that the aircraft suffered a catastrophic engine failure, most likely the left engine, that exploded and severed the cables that control the rudder, ailerons, horizontal stabilizer and perhaps the throttle control cables to the engines.

This would explain the total loss of control and the unexpected turn back to the east when the crew’s takeoff clearance was to make a right turn to a heading of 290 degrees from RWY 24. With the throttle cables severed the right engine would have been producing full take off power and the failed left engine producing little to no thrust.

Without being able to control the turn radius of the aircraft the thrust of the right engine would have forced the aircraft into a left turn which would explain the reason why the jet ended up to the east of it’s intended flight path.

In a report I saw this morning and the first time I’ve heard any of the audio associated with this video, you can hear that a “engine” is producing power and it sounds like it is a lot of power, which would also explain the EXTREMELY rapid descent this aircraft made from only 1300 feet above the ground on take off.
