Putin approves takeover of Goldman Sachs subsidiary

Balchug Capital will acquire 100% of the Russian arm of the world’s second-largest investment bank

President Vladimir Putin has allowed the sale of the Russian division of US investment bank Goldman Sachs, according to a document published on the state portal for legal information.

The order, signed by the Russian president on Friday, said Balchug Capital JSC will be able to purchase 100% of shares in Goldman Sachs Bank, which is owned by the US-based Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The deal was approved in line with a presidential decree on special economic measures in response to “unfriendly actions” by foreign states and organizations, the document read.

Balchug Capital JSC belongs to the Balchug Capital investment firm of Armenian businessman David Amaryan. According to the company’s data, it currently manages assets worth around $2 billion.

Balchug Capital JSC has previously acquired the assets of a Western firm seeking to leave Russia over the Ukraine conflict; purchasing the stock of US construction equipment manufacturing corporation, Caterpillar in 2024.

Goldman Sachs announced plans to withdraw from the Russian market just weeks after the escalation between Russia and Ukraine in February 2022, becoming the first Wall Street institution to take such a decision. Later that year, Goldman Sachs Bank was included in a list of credit institutions which are banned from transactions of shares and stocks without special permission from the authorities in Moscow.

Soros-Owned Radio Station Exposes Identities of Undercover ICE Agents.

A radio station owned by leftist billionaire George Soros has publicly revealed the locations of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating undercover in San Jose, California. A KCBS 740 AM radio host disclosed details about ICE operations on January 26. The information shared by Bret Burkhart detailed the types of unmarked vehicles and the specific locations where ICE agents were present.

Burkhart cited updates from social media posts made by the Rapid Response Network, an organization opposing deportation efforts. Burkhart’s broadcast might have endangered the agents’ safety by potentially exposing their covert operations.

Soros acquired Audacy, a major U.S. radio station network, for $400 million in February 2024, including KCBS 740 AM.

The Santa Clara County pro-illegal alien Rapid Response Network initially reported these activities through its online platforms. They listed descriptions of the unmarked vehicles and disclosed locations where ICE officers were allegedly positioned.

ICE began operations under border czar Tom Homan immediately after the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump on January 20. Homan stated that ICE was prioritizing violent criminal illegals, some of whom are wanted for serious crimes like murder or child rape.

So far, ICE has arrested over 1,000 criminal illegal aliens across the country. In a recent interview, Homan stated that all illegals were on ICE’s radar, however. “It’s a crime. And that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I’m in Switzerland illegally. So we’re going to enforce the laws of this country,” he said.

Chuck Todd Announces Departure From NBC News

Longtime NBC News television anchor Chuck Todd announced Friday that he is departing the network after nearly 20 years.

Todd wrote in a Friday memo to staffers that he will be focusing on new ventures and is taking his podcast, ChuckToddcast, with him in order to continue reporting the news. The now-former NBC News host began at NBC News in 2007 as a political director and became chief White House correspondent in 2008, before later becoming the host of “Meet the Press” in 2014.

“There’s never a perfect time to leave a place that’s been a professional home for so long, but I’m pretty excited about a few new projects that are on the cusp of going from ‘pie in the sky’ to ‘near reality,'” Todd said. “So I’m grateful for the chance to get a jump start on my next chapter during this important moment. The ChuckToddcast is also coming with me (thank you NBC). Stay tuned for an announcement about its new home soon. Needless to say, I do plan to continue to share my reporting and unique perspective of covering politics with data and history as important baselines in understanding where we were, where we are and where we’re going.”

“The media has a lot of work to do to win back the trust of viewers/listeners/readers and I’m convinced the best place to start is from the bottom up,” Todd wrote in his memo. “At my core, I’m an entrepreneur — I spent my first 15 years professionally working for the company that started the political newsletter craze that dominates today. And this is a ripe moment. The only way to fix this information eco system is to stop whining about the various ways the social media companies are manipulating things and instead roll up our collective sleeves and start with local. National media can’t win trust back without having a robust partner locally and trying to game algorithms is no way to inform and report.”

NBC News said they are “grateful” for Todd’s “contributions” to the network in a statement following his announcement, Variety reported.

“We’re grateful for Chuck’s many contributions to our political coverage during his nearly two-decade career at NBC News and for his deep commitment to Meet the Press and its enduring legacy,” NBC News said. “We wish him all the best in his next endeavors.”

After nine years, Todd stepped down from hosting “Meet the Press” in September 2023 and passed the torch to its current host, Kristen Welker. While he still moderated the show, he brought the program into podcasting and launched a film festival in order to reach millennial audiences.

Todd was among the several staffers at NBC News who protested the hiring of former Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel as a paid contributor in March over her allegations that the 2020 presidential election was unfair. However, he gave credence to the now-debunked accusations that President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with the Russian government to interfere in the election. The network decided to cut ties with McDaniel just two days after her debut on “Meet the Press.”

Todd also vowed to stifle debate about climate change during his run as host of “Meet the Press.” During a January 2019 episode of “Meet the Press,” Todd announced that he would no longer allow climate change skeptics to appear on the program to debate the contentious issue.

More veteran media hosts have exited their networks recently, most notably CNN’s Jim Acosta, who announced Tuesday that he was departing the network after nearly two decades after being asked to host his program during the midnight time slot.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth is calling for patience as the NTSB and FAA investigate the cause of the tragic collision of a Black Hawk helicopter and American Airlines flight Wednesday night, but she is also pursuing information about how it occurred.

She told CBS News' Nikole Killion in an interview Thursday that she's requested a transcript of the air traffic control instructions and responses from the pilots.

"What I did learn was that air traffic control did contact and speak with the helicopter crew twice, and they acknowledged the instructions twice," Duckworth said. "I also am asking for the flight path of both aircraft up until the moment of the impact."

The Illinois Democrat will have more insight than many of her colleagues — she is an Iraq War veteran and was a Black Hawk pilot before an RPG downed her helicopterduring an Iraq deployment in 2004, costing Duckworth both of her legs and partial use of her right arm.

Duckworth says she's certain that the soldiers who were piloting the Black Hawk Wednesday night were well trained because otherwise, "they wouldn't be out there in this special airspace — the airspace around Washington, D.C." She noted that they were in theSFRA — the Washington, D.C., metropolitan Special Flight Restricted Area. It's a circular 30-nautical-mile area around Washington, D.C., which also surrounds the Flight-Restricted Zone, a smaller area encompassing Reagan National Airport."

"You don't get to fly in that without additional flight training," Duckworth said.

The Illinois Democrat described what the crew would have been doing in the cockpit as the Black Hawk flew Wednesday night.

"The crew members would have split up the crew duties. One person would have been flying — actually, physically flying the aircraft, which takes, you know, all of your four limbs to do it," she told Killion. "You're controlling the direction of the aircraft with your right hand, the power that's going into the engines with your left hand, you're controlling the nose and the tail of the aircraft, with your two feet."This pilot would have been trying to "stick to the route," while the other pilot would be talking with air traffic control.

"Everybody's looking outside the aircraft to try to find that other aircraft that you are near," Duckworth said. "The crew chief in the back is also doing the same thing. They're looking out of the aircraft as well, spotting any traffic that's nearby, conveying that information. So, the crew would be talking to each other while also listening to the air traffic controller."

At the same time, the crew would also be "listening to the air traffic controller talking to other aircraft, so that you have situational awareness of everything else that's going on,"she said.

The helicopter would have had a ceiling, what Duckworth referred to as a "hard deck" in the restricted area where the Black Hawk was flying.

"They're not allowed to go above 200 feet mean sea level," she said. "So, they were flying pretty low above the Potomac River at the time, while looking up trying to spot out of this very busy night sky the landing airplane."

Killion asked whether this was the kind of flight that would require night-vision goggles, or NVGs…

"My understanding is that they were not using NVGs," Duckworth replied.She said that in an area where there are a lot of lights, they're "not as useful a tool," and are really more suited to "a combat situation in the dark." Around the airport, "with that much ambient light, they were on visual flight rules, and they were operating well within the parameters for which they have been trained, and the aircraft was designed to operate in," Duckworth said.

She said the helicopter would have had its lights on, so the plane would have been able to see it. But airplanes that are coming in for a landing have the right of way.

"They would have been looking towards the runway and landing on the runway," she said. "That's the job of the crew within the American Airlines Flight … they were on a short final to land."

"I'm sure they would have been looking out, but they don't have the same visibility in that aircraft — looking out those two little windows that they have — as the helicopter would have had, with plexiglass." She explained that the helicopter crew "would have been basically sitting in a plexiglass bubble in the Black Hawk with plexiglass above your head, underneath your feet and out the two sides."

"So the helicopter — they would have had a better visual command than the American Airlines Flight, which was landing, looking to the runway," Duckworth said.

Asked about Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's description of the collision as an "elevation" issue, and President Trump's suggestion that the helicopter could have gone up or down to get out of the way of the plane, Duckworth responded, "We have to let NTSB and FAA do their jobs …Neither the president nor Mr. Hegseth are pilots, as far as I know, and I think that amateur speculation is not what is needed at this point."

There’s been a quiet development in DC since last night. It is starting to cause panic.

The crash last night looks to have been caused by a software breech in the US Military’s Blackhawk Drone program. The purpose, per Hegseth, for the flight was to run an exercise to train pilots on procedure for a continuity of government operation.

The whole operation was a cover for a training exercise of a different purpose. Starting in February, when tariffs begin to fill the reserve, arrests will be made for members of the ‘swamp’ that have been treasonous. The cover is that Guantanamo will be housing illegal immigrants with a 30+ thousand occupancy. Housing illegal immigrants will not be financially supported, and is not the plan.

The few remaining cabinet members and directors awaiting approval are needed to be in office for this operation to occur. Gabbard, Patel, and Hegseth along with Noem and Ratcliffe are integral members of the required agencies to present evidence at the hearings.

This brings us back to the airline collision. The Blackhawk was training for prisoner transfer. The airline wasn’t at fault, and neither were the Blackhawk pilots and crew. When the swamp found out, they deployed the drone program and took control of the helicopter. Blackbox will confirm their attempts to retake control, but will never be made public, only fabrications until future declassification. They collided the helo with the airliner to produce a sense of plausibility of fault, or human error. POTUS is skirting the issue by idly suggesting DEI issues, which are only a mere distraction to maintain OpSec.

The breech was found last night and they will not be able to do it again. In some forms of game theory, this would be considered a Checkmate.
