- He says she never previously expressed any desire to commit a shooting, and only sent him her manifesto the day of the shooting.

- Timestamps of their messages shown to me demonstrate she sent it to him via WhatsApp at approximately 10:30 am (eastern). She posted it to Twitter at 11:50 am (eastern). The shooting occurred around 11:57 am (eastern).

- He did not see her message until 1:12 pm (eastern), at which point the act had been committed and she was already deceased.

- He describes her as being kind, generous towards him, and cheerful. He describes her as always making him gifts and never expecting anything in return.

Hungary secured exemptions from sanctions on Moscow – foreign minister

Budapest convinced Brussels not to target the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Peter Szijjarto has said

Hungary agreed not to veto the EU’s latest package of sanctions on Russia after pressuring the bloc to abandon “crazy ideas” such as blacklisting the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has said.

EU foreign ministers formally adopted the bloc’s 15th package of economic penalties on Russia at a meeting in Brussels on Monday. The latest tranche of sanctions blacklists 54 people and 30 entities, including Russian military commanders, oil tankers allegedly connected to Russia, Russian defense firms, and “various Chinese actors” accused of supplying electronic components to Russia.

Beijing has long maintained that it does not supply any military goods or components to Moscow.

The EU also sanctioned the defense minister and deputy chief of the general staff of North Korea, over claims that the country's troops are training in Russia and taking part in the conflict with Ukraine. Moscow and Pyongyang have neither confirmed nor denied these allegations. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that it is up to both nations to decide how to fulfil their commitments under a recently signed defense treaty.

At a press conference on Monday afternoon, Szijjarto said that he voted for the sanctions, but only after the EU agreed to extend an exemption allowing Hungarian energy giant MOL to continue purchasing Russian crude oil.Szijjarto added that he also convinced officials in Brussels to “weed out… crazy ideas” like sanctioning Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church, Russia’s UN envoy, the Russian Olympic Committee, and “two Russian Premier League football teams.”

“We vetoed this,” he told reporters. “We simply said we will not support such sanctions.”

Patriarch Kirill has already been sanctioned by the UK for what the British Foreign Officecalled his “prominent support of Russian military aggression in Ukraine.” Several EU member states, including Lithuania, Estonia, and the Czech Republic, have also blacklisted the Orthodox leader.

”They’ve made the Patriarch persona non grata in Europe. Why? It’s because the Patriarch is spiritually leading the nation, leading the church that has taken a different civilizational path of development,” Kirill said during a service in Moscow earlier this year.

In Brussels,Hungary and Slovakia also blocked proposed sanctions against top Georgian officials, pushed by new EU diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas,after Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze froze EU accession talks over what he termed the bloc’s “constant blackmail and manipulation.”

The EU’s previous package of sanctions on Russia was adopted in June. Each package can only be adopted after a unanimous vote. Moscow has long criticized the measures targeting its economy and trade, whilemany experts in both Russia and the West have said that unilateral sanctions do more harm to the countries that impose them than to Russia itself.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Releases Report Confirming Radioactive Material Lost in Transit — Shipping Container Arrives Damaged and Empty in New Jersey

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed that radioactive material was lost in transit earlier this month, heightening fears about public safety and sparking theories about mysterious drone activity in New Jersey.

Officer Lew, a prominent political commentator, highlighted the NRC’s event report during a review of regulatory alerts.

“While looking at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Alerts. I can confirm that there is radioactive material that has gone missing on Dec 2nd, 2024 out of New Jersey. This might be the reason for the drones… just speculation at this point,” he wrote.

The missing material, identified as a Ge-68 pin source manufactured by Eckert & Ziegler, was reported lost by its licensee on December 3, 2024. Shipped for disposal, the container arrived at its destination severely damaged and empty.

According to the NRC’s report, the radioactive source, while classified as “Less than IAEA Category 3,” still poses potential risks if mishandled or exposed for prolonged periods.

Sources that are “Less than IAEA Category 3 sources,” are either sources that are very unlikely to cause permanent injury to individuals or contain a very small amount of radioactive material that would not cause any permanent injury. Some of these sources, such as moisture density gauges or thickness gauges that are Category 4, the amount of unshielded radioactive material, if not safely managed or securely protected, could possibly – although it is unlikely – temporarily injure someone who handled it or were otherwise in contact with it, or who were close to it for a period of many weeks.

Just as this radioactive mishap was quietly made public, a string of mysterious drone sightings over New Jersey has raised eyebrows.

John Ferguson, CEO of Saxon Aerospace LLC and an expert in unmanned aerial systems, has presented a startling theory: the drones may be searching for the missing radioactive material.

Ferguson: My belief is they’re trying to smell something on the ground, gas, leaks, radioactive material, whatever… I do believe that they’re flying low enough that they’re just trying to sniff the ground and try to find something. So again, I hate to be a pessimist or a guy that thinks directly to the negative. However, I know as a professional, we build professional stuff for the military. I believe that they’re actually out there trying to smell something that’s very important.

However, Ferguson linked the sightings of drones to a more shocking claim: the disappearance of over 80 nuclear warheads from Ukraine after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

According to Ferguson, these weapons have never been fully accounted for, and at least one of them may have been headed toward the United States.

Ferguson recounted a conversation with a government insider who physically handled one of the missing warheads, only to see his warnings ignored by U.S. authorities.

Pro-Palestinian countries could bond together and issue a death sentence for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top Israeli officials for war crimes in Gaza, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has said.

Last month, the Hague-based International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing “reasonable grounds to believe” that they were committing war crimes and “other inhumane acts” during Israel’s operation against Hamas in Gaza. Israel has dismissed the court’s jurisdiction and denied committing war crimes.

In an interview published by the state-run news website ISNA, Gharibabadi argued that the ICC and the International Court of Justice – a separate judicial body that is currently examining a genocide case against Israel – do not have a good track record of prosecuting Israelis.

“Such a court probably will not issue death sentences because it is affiliated with the UN,” he said, adding that there could be an alternative “formula” for obtaining capital punishment for Israeli officials. “Issuing a death sentence for Netanyahu is not impossible,” he said.

“Multiple countries have abolished the death penalty, but there are more than 55 countries that still have this form of punishment in their laws,” the diplomat noted. “Therefore, two or three like-minded countries that support the Palestinian people and oppose [Israeli] crimes can come together and form a joint court and issue a death sentence for these officials.”

“We should try to see if it is possible,” Gharibabadi said.

Last month, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei claimed that Netanyahu and Gallant deserve to be sentenced to death.

Relations between the Islamic Republic and the Jewish state reached a dangerous escalation this year, with the arch-rivals trading strikes in April and October. Israel has accused Tehran of orchestrating the attacks by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which triggered the current war in Gaza. Iran claimed that the Palestinian militants were acting independently and vowed to support the “Palestinian resistance.”

Nearly 45,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the start of Israel’s military operation in the densely populated enclave, according to the local Hamas-run authorities. UN General Assembly calls for ‘immediate unconditional’ Gaza ceasefire

The UN General Assembly has passed a resolution calling for an unconditional ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, in the hope of ending the 14-month war.

The non-binding document approved on Wednesday by a vote of 158-9, with 13 abstentions, calls for “an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire,” and urges “the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.”

The General Assembly took action after the US vetoed a similarly worded document in the UN Security Council last month. Washington argued at the time that it would not endorse a deal not directly linked to the release of all remaining Israeli hostages by Hamas. The US reaffirmed its position during Wednesday’s vote, with Ambassador Robert Wood describing the resolution as “shameful and wrong.”

“At a time when Hamas is feeling isolated due to the ceasefire in Lebanon, the draft resolution on a ceasefire in Gaza risks sending a dangerous message to Hamas that there’s no need to negotiate or release the hostages,” Wood told the General Assembly.

Israel’s envoy, Danny Danon, also argued that an unconditional ceasefire would only benefit Hamas. “The vote today is not a vote for compassion. It is a vote for complicity,” he said.

Kiev is not being given the weapons it needs “to do the job,” the former British prime minister has said

The West is essentially using Ukraine as a tool to fight Russia, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has admitted, insisting that it should not hold back on arming Kiev.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph on Thursday, Johnson chastised the West for what he sees as a lack of resolve in supporting Ukraine, stressing that it should set aside concerns about potential escalation.

“The problem has not been escalation; the problem has been the failure to escalate fast enough. It has been the dithering, the delay, and the nickel-and-diming of the [support] measures,” he said, lamenting the gridlock in the US Congress in late 2023 and early 2024 which prevented aid from flowing to Kiev. “That was a nightmare for Ukraine,” he added.

The same was true for the initial reluctance to approve Ukrainian strikes deep into Russia using British, French, and US-made long-range missiles, Johnson claimed, noting that Germany is still resisting pressure to make a similar move.

“It has been pathetic… Let’s face it: We’re waging a proxy war but not giving our proxies the ability to do the job. For years now, we’ve been allowing them to fight with one hand tied behind their backs, and it has been cruel,”Johnson stated.

According to the former prime minister, the West needs to make progress on Kiev’s accession to NATO, provide Ukraine with various military and logistical support without coming into direct conflict with Russia, and send it more money.

In addition, the international community, includingRussia and Ukraine, “has to know where we… want this thing to end up,” Johnson stated. “Until and unless we clear it up, you won’t persuade [Russian President Vladimir] Putin to back down,” he claimed.

Moscow has accused Johnson of derailing the Ukraine peace talks in Istanbul in the spring of 2022, claiming he advised Kiev to keep fighting. Staff close to Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky have admitted that Johnson had an influential role. The former prime minister has denied the allegation as “an absolute steaming, stinking lie,” arguing that Kiev would never have agreed to Russia’s terms, which included the downsizing of the Ukrainian army and de facto recognition of territorial losses.

Moscow has repeatedly accused the West of using Ukraine as a “battering ram” against Russia, while warning that arms deliveries will not change the outcome of the conflict. It has also cautioned that the approval of strikes deep into Russia using foreign-made long-range weapons would be a serious escalation.

After Kiev carried out several such strikes, Russia retaliated by attacking a Ukrainian defense facility with its latest Oreshnik medium-range hypersonic missile.
