Tom Cotton has invoked the ‘Hague Invasion Act’ in an effort to intimidate the International Criminal Court

On Thursday Moscow issued a fresh warning to the US and West, following Washington and London giving the greenlight for Ukraine's use of long-range missiles against Russian territory, which at this point has already happened in at least two instances (separate cross-border attacks using the US ATACMS and UK Storm Shadows).

Russia has said a newly opened US missile defense base in Poland is now on a list of potential priority strike targets in the event of a bigger escalation. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that the US-NATO anti-missile base in the Polish village of Redzikowo is a threat to Russia for its "obvious potential" to inflict harm on Moscow's deterrent forces.

She said that the opening of the base marks "yet another provocative step in a series of deeply destabilizing actions by the Americans and their allies in NATO in the strategic sphere."

She further described it as part of the "decades-long destructive policy of bringing NATO military infrastructure closer to Russia’s borders" which can lead to the "undermining of strategic stability" - which can potentially bring to the forefront an increase in "the overall level of nuclear danger."

Given "the nature and level of threats arising from this type of Western military facilities," she continued, the base has been added to the Russian military's list of "priority targets for potential destruction."

As we previewed days ago upon the base's formal inauguration, the US launchers hosted there that fire the Aegis interceptors can also fire offensive Tomahawk missiles. Previously, the US fielded a variant of the Tomahawk that was capable of delivering a nuclear warhead.

With the NATO and US military build-up in Eastern Europe, Moscow has long vowed that it would respond by "adopting appropriate measures to ensure parity."

While the Aegis system has created significant friction between Russia and NATO, Warsaw wants to further expand the missile base. Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on Monday the scope of the shield needed to be expanded.

A Systematic Review Of Autopsy Findings In Deaths After COVID-19 Vaccination

Background: The rapid development of COVID-19 vaccines, combined with a high number of adverse event reports, have led to concerns over possible mechanisms of injury including systemic lipid nanoparticle (LNP) and mRNA distribution, Spike protein-associated tissue damage, thrombogenicity, immune system dysfunction, and carcinogenicity. The aim of this systematic review is to investigate possible causal links between COVID-19 vaccine administration and death using autopsies and post-mortem analysis.

Methods: We searched PubMed and ScienceDirect for all published autopsy and organ-restricted autopsy reports relating to COVID-19 vaccination up until May 18th, 2023. All autopsy and organ-restricted autopsy studies that included COVID-19 vaccination as an antecedent exposure were included. Because the state of knowledge has advanced since the time of the original publications, three physicians independently reviewed each case and adjudicated whether or not COVID-19 vaccination was the direct cause or contributed significantly to death.

Results: We initially identified 678 studies and, after screening for our inclusion criteria, included 44 papers that contained 325 autopsy cases and one organ-restricted autopsy case (heart). The mean age of death was 70.4 years. The most implicated organ system among cases was the cardiovascular (49%), followed by hematological (17%), respiratory (11%), and multiple organ systems (7%). Three or more organ systems were affected in 21 cases. The mean time from vaccination to death was 14.3 days. Most deaths occurred within a week from last vaccine administration. A total of 240 deaths (73.9%) were independently adjudicated as directly due to or significantly contributed to by COVID-19 vaccination, of which the primary causes of death include sudden cardiac death (35%), pulmonary embolism (12.5%), myocardial infarction (12%), VITT (7.9%), myocarditis (7.1%), multisystem inflammatory syndrome (4.6%), and cerebral hemorrhage (3.8%).

Conclusions: The consistency seen among cases in this review with known COVID-19 vaccine mechanisms of injury and death, coupled with autopsy confirmation by physician adjudication, suggests there is a high likelihood of a causal link between COVID-19 vaccines and death. Further urgent investigation is required for the purpose of clarifying our findings.

A New York judge on Friday granted President-elect Donald Trump permission to seek dismissal of the business records criminal case, in which he was found guilty earlier this year, in light of his victory in the Nov. 5 presidential election.

In his order, Acting Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan gave the Trump team until Dec. 2 to file a motion for dismissal and set a Dec. 9 deadline for the prosecution to respond.

Merchan also granted a stay of sentencing in the case, adjourning the scheduled Nov. 26 sentencing hearing indefinitely.

Trump, 78, was convicted in May of a felony for falsifying business records to cover up a scheme to influence the 2016 election by paying to squelch a story of extramarital sex. Trump has denied the allegations.

His lawyers argued in a letter that continuing with the case would interfere with the president-elect's preparations for returning to the White House and cause "unconstitutional impediments" to his ability to run the country.

Manhattan prosecutors opposed the dismisssal, saying in a court filing Tuesday that Trump's forthcoming presidency isn't grounds for dropping a case that was already tried. But “given the need to balance competing constitutional interests," prosecutors said, “consideration must be given” to potentially freezing the case until after he's out of office.

Orban Says Netanyahu Safe From International Arrest Warrant in Hungary

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Friday denounced the International Criminal Court´s issuing of an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he would defy it by inviting him to Hungary.

In comments to state radio, Orbán accused the ICC, the world´s top war crimes court based in The Hague, of “interfering in an ongoing conflict for political purposes,” saying the decision to issue the warrant for Netanyahu over his conduct of the war in Gaza undermined international law and escalated tensions.

Member countries of the ICC, such as Hungary, are required to detain suspects facing a warrant if they set foot on their soil, but the court has no way to enforce that.

The ICC issued the arrest warrant on Thursday for Netanyahu as well as for his former defense minister and Hamas´ military chief, accusing them of crimes against humanity in connection with the 13-month war in Gaza.

The Texas Board of Education approved a new K-5 curriculum that allows Bible teachings in classrooms.

The curriculum includes Biblical and Christian lessons about Moses, the story of the Good Samaritan, the Golden Rule, readings from The Book of Genesis, and more. The accuracy of the materials has come under scrutiny. For example, the curriculum claims "Abraham Lincoln and other leading abolitionists relied on a deep Christian faith," though Lincoln's religion has historically been debated.

The instructional materials, called Bluebonnet Learning, are developed by the state, according to the Texas Education Agency. The lessons would be optional, but districts can receive at least $40 per student for using state-approved materials, according to local legislation.

Some supporters of instituting religion in the curriculum say that these religious texts are important for the historical context of U.S. history and can instill moral values in the classroom. While some critics said, this violates the First Amendment right to freedom of religion for students and teachers, forcing classrooms to engage in Christian instruction.

Report: US and European Officials Discussed Giving Ukraine Nuclear Weapons

Western officials are less concerned that Russian President Vladimir Putin will escalate the conflict before Donald Trump takes office

According to the New York Times, US and European officials have discussed a range of options they believe will deter Russia from taking more Ukrainian territory, including providing Kiev with nuclear weapons. The outlet reports that Western officials believe the Kremlin will not significantly escalate the war before Donald Trump is sworn in as President in January.

Following the election of Trump earlier this month, the US and its NATO allies began taking steps to rush weapons to Ukraine and give Kiev the ability to strike targets inside Russian territory with long-range weapons.

American officials who were briefed on the intelligence community’s assessments told the Times that weapons will not alter the challenging situation that Kiev is currently facing. “US spy agencies have assessed that speeding up the provisions of weapons, ammunition and matériel for Ukraine will do little to change the course of the war in the short term,” the Times reports.

Desperate to bolster Ukraine’s standing in the war before the transition of power on January 20, the Biden administration is looking at a range of serious escalations. “US and European officials are discussing deterrence as a possible security guarantee for Ukraine, such as stockpiling a conventional arsenal sufficient to strike a punishing blow if Russia violates a cease-fire.” The article continues, “Several officials even suggested that Mr. Biden could return nuclear weapons to Ukraine that were taken from it after the fall of the Soviet Union.”

According to some officials who spoke with the Times, the administration believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin won’t significantly escalate the war until Trump returns to the Oval Office.

“But the escalation risk of allowing Ukraine to strike Russia with US-supplied weaponry has diminished with the election of Mr. Trump,” adding,” Biden administration officials believe, calculating that Putin of Russia knows he has to wait only two months for the new administration.”

That assessment is based on the belief that Trump and his incoming Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, will take a more favorable stance on Russia. However, Trump proved to be a Russia-hawk during his first administration by ramping up sanctions on Moscow, providing lethal arms to Ukraine, and expelling a large number of Russian diplomats from the US.

In September, Putin said he preferred Vice President Kamala Harris to win the White House. “Trump has imposed as many sanctions on Russia as any president has ever imposed before, and if Harris is doing well, perhaps she will refrain from such actions,” he explained.

Much of the American political class has cast Trump and Gabbard as agents of Russia. However, extensive investigations into Trump’s ties to the Kremlin have come up empty. Additionally, the Times reported last week that there was no evidence Gabbard was in any way an asset of Putin.
