See It: Cops Shot Residents With Paintballs to Enforce Walz’s COVID Lockdown Curfew

In a recently resurfaced video from May 30, 2020, heavily armed police officers enforcing a strict curfew in Minneapolis were captured firing paintballs at residents standing on their porches.

The harrowing footage, filmed by a resident in the Whittier neighborhood, has sparked renewed debate about the aggressive tactics used during the city’s unrest following the death of George Floyd and amid the COVID lockdowns.

Many on X are taking issue at Kamala Harris’s VP pick Tim Walz over the shocking video, with some even dubbing him a “COVID Nazi.”

The video begins with Kersson filming a convoy of police officers slowly making their way down a quiet residential street.

A tan Humvee leads the procession, followed closely by at least 25 riot cops clad in heavy armor.

The New York Post reported that the scene resembles a dystopian movie as the officers bark orders at residents to retreat inside their homes.

“Go home! Get inside! Get in your house now, let’s go!” the officers shout, their voices echoing down the street.

Despite the officers’ demands, resident Tanya Kersson continues to film from her porch, capturing the tense moment on camera.

Her original video is currently unavailable on X, however, other users have still circulated the damning footage as this story continues to gain attention again.

“Never forget that, during the COVID lockdowns, Gov. Tim Walz sent police through neighborhoods outside of Minneapolis and St. Paul to shoot people with paintballs for standing outside,” one user said of the now-viral clip.

The situation escalates when one officer is heard yelling, “Light ’em up!”

Without warning, the police begin firing paintballs at Kersson and her guests.

The muzzle flashes from the paintball guns are clearly visible against the dimming light of dusk as the residents scramble to take cover inside the house.

Kersson’s frantic shouts of “Get in! Get in! Get in!” fill the video as the group hastily retreats from the barrage.

A Legal Loophole Is Allowing Companies To Include Unsafe Ingredients in US Foods

The FDA’s current regulations allow food companies to independently determine the safety of thousands of ingredients considered “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS), often without notifying the FDA or disclosing safety data. This practice has led to the addition of many unreviewed substances to the U.S. food supply, raising concerns about the adequacy of post-market oversight and the potential risks of such ingredients.

The food industry can decide which substances are considered “generally recognized as safe” due to gaps in FDA oversight.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for ensuring the safety of the U.S. food supply, including setting nutrition labeling standards, collaborating with companies on food recalls, and addressing foodborne illness outbreaks. However, a recent article in the American Journal of Public Health suggests that the FDA has adopted a more hands-off stance regarding the safety of food additives and certain ingredients already in use.

The current FDA process allows the food industry to regulate itself when it comes to thousands of added ingredients—by determining for itself which ingredients should be considered “generally recognized as safe,” or GRAS—and deciding on their own whether or not to disclose the ingredients’ use and the underlying safety data to the FDA. As a result, many new substances have been added to our food supply without any government oversight.

“Both the FDA and the public are unaware of how many of these ingredients—which are most commonly found in ultra-processed foods —are in our food supply,” said Jennifer Pomeranz, associate professor of public health policy and management at NYU School of Global Public Health and study’s first author.

Classifying GRAS

Since 1958, the FDA has been responsible for evaluating the safety of new chemicals and substances added to foods before they go to market. However, food safety laws distinguish between “food additives” and “GRAS” ingredients. While compounds considered “food additives” must be reviewed and approved by the FDA before they are used in foods, ingredients considered GRAS are exempt from these regulations.

The GRAS designation was initially established for ingredients already found in foods—for instance, vinegar and spices. But under a rule used since 1997, the FDA has allowed the food industry to independently determine which substances fall into this category, including many new substances added to foods. Rather than disclose the new use of these ingredients and the accompanying safety data for FDA review, companies can do their own research to evaluate an ingredient’s safety before going to market, without any notification or sharing of the findings. The FDA suggests—but does not require—that companies voluntarily notify the agency about the use of such substances and their findings, but in practice, many such substances have been added without notification.

In their analysis, the researchers review the history of the FDA’s and industry’s approach around adding these new compounds to foods and identify the lack of any real oversight. This includes a federal court case in 2021 upholding the FDA’s hands-off approach.

“Notably, the court did not find that the FDA’s practices on GRAS ingredients support the safety of our food supply,” said Pomeranz. “The court only ruled that the FDA’s practice was not unlawful.”

Documents Confirm Netanyahu Sabotaged Ceasefire Talks With New Demands

Netanyahu is denying that his demands added new conditions to the deal despite the clear evidence

Documents obtained by The New York Times confirmed that Israel added new demands to the ceasefire proposal unveiled by President Biden back in May, an effort by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to sabotage the chances of a deal.

The Times report said that Israeli negotiators believed Netanyahu’s added demands created more obstacles to a deal. This has also been acknowledged by Mossad Director David Barnea, the Israeli official in charge of the peace talks.

The new demands included a screening mechanism for the Israeli military to ensure displaced Palestinians returning to northern Gaza were not armed and indefinite Israeli control of the Gaza-Egypt border, which is not only opposed by Hamas but also by the Egyptian government.

In response to the Times report, Netanyahu acknowledged the documents were authentic but claimed he didn’t add new demands. “The charge that Prime Minister Netanyahu added new conditions to the May 27 proposal is false. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s July 27 letter does not introduce extra conditions and certainly does not contradict or undermine the May 27 proposal,” his office said in a statement.

Concerning the return of Palestinians to northern Gaza, Netanyahu’s office said the proposal made in May states only “unarmed civilians will be permitted” to cross into northern Gaza. The May proposal does say that displaced Palestinians returning to their homes should not be carrying arms, but it also says the entire population of Gaza will have “freedom of movement” inside the Strip.

Netanyahu’s statement did not even address the condition for Israel to maintain control of the Gaza-Egypt border, known as the Philadelphi corridor, which is considered the most contentious demand. Axios reported in July that Netanyahu made the demand after there was a breakthrough in the negotiations concerning the issue of the Gaza-Egypt border.

Israel was demanding weapons smuggling through the Philadelphi Corridor be prevented, and Egypt had agreed to build an “underground wall” on the border, which would be funded by the US. “We will not allow the smuggling of weapons to Hamas from Egypt, first and foremost through Israeli control of the Philadelphi Corridor and the Rafah Crossing,” Netanyahu said after those concessions were made.

Netanyahu’s office also said that it was Hamas that added new conditions to the May proposal. “In fact, Hamas is the one that demanded 29 changes to the May 27 proposal, something the Prime Minister refused to do,” the office said.

Hamas did ask for an upfront Israeli commitment to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and Israeli withdrawal, which came in response to Netanyahu stating repeatedly that he wouldn’t end the genocidal war as part of any hostage deal. But Hamas eventually conceded and agreed to the original language, and that’s when Netanyahu issued his new demands.

Hamas is now asking for mediators to implement the proposal unveiled by President Biden, but Israeli officials believe Netanyahu’s demands make the chances of a deal unlikely.

Thailand's Constitutional Court has removed Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin from office for violating the constitution over a cabinet appointment.

The court said on Wednesday Mr Srettha had "grossly breached ethical standards."

"The court has found 5-4 that the accused is terminated as prime minister due to his lack of honesty," the judges said.

Mr Srettha had maintained his appointment of former Shinawatra lawyer Pichit Chuenban, who was briefly imprisoned for contempt of court in 2008 over an alleged attempt to bribe court staff, was above board.

The bribery allegation was never proven and Mr Pichit resigned in May.

"I am saddened to leave as a prime minister who was found to be unethical," Mr Srettha told reporters at Government House.

This is a major scandal.

It has beenmore than EIGHT MONTHSsince the DC appellate court heard oral arguments in the appeal of Couy Griffin's conviction for the most common J6 misdemeanor–knowingly entering restricted grounds/building.

During the hearing on Dec. 4, the 3 judges (Clinton, Obama, Trump) indicated they would send the case back to Judge Trevor McFadden, who found Griffin guilty of 1752(a)(1) in March 2022.

Griffin's attorney asked for either an acquittal on the sole charge or require DOJ to prove to McFadden that Griffin knew the area was restricted (he did not go inside the building) and knew VP Pence was on the grounds, which rendered the area off limits bc he was a Secret Service protectee at the time.

Either way–the panel strongly indicated they believed foreknowledge was a necessary element to demonstrate guilt.

A ruling of that nature would have caused chaos in DC courthouse, potentially impacting hundreds of cases.

But as the panel weighed its decision, something seismic happened: SCOTUS granted cert in Fischer one week later.

Dem-heavy DC appellate court recognized the threat to the J6 prosecution AND narrative if both the most common misdemeanor and most common felony (1512c2) were reversed by higher courts.

Since SCOTUS granted cert, the court held oral arguments in April and posted its decision on June 28.

That entire time, the DC appellate courtan Obama appointee is the chief judgeSAT on releasing its order related to Griffin's appeal and continues to do so. Normal time btw oral arguments and decision is 4-5 months.

Apparently, this is not concerning to the "legal experts" who have accused other courts of slow walking key opinions in other political cases.
