The group is alleged to have abused children in Glasgow over course of 10 years

It is claimed members of the group raped and abused three young children

Glasgow High Court heard the children were forced to take part in witchcraft too

Four other people alleged to have been involved in the ring - Maureen Goudie, Steven McHendrie, Robert Brown, James McLean and Douglas Gachagan - have since died, according to court papers.

The High Court in Glasgow was told on Friday that the offences took place between January 2010 and March 2020 at a number of addresses in the city.

The group are alleged to have run a wheelchair over the legs of one of the girls, as well as putting a plastic bag over her head.

It's claimed she was made to eat cat food, as well as take drugs and alcohol, with the other girl also made to eat pet food.

The second girl was allegedly chased by an adult wearing a devil mask and hung by her jumper from a nail on the wall.

This culminated with her being pushed into and trapped inside a microwave, an oven, a fridge freezer and various cupboards, the court heard.

It is claimed one of the girls was threatened with being sent to Turkey with a male stranger, while the boy was put in a bath which they said was filled with blood.

The boy and older girl are alleged to have been made to take part in 'seances (and) use a Ouija board…to call on spirits and demons'.

The children were also involved in 'witchcraft' leading them to believe that they themselves had 'metamorphosed into animals'.

The 11 are further said to have worn cloaks and devil horns as well making the young boy stab a budgie to death.

The group are also accused of killing a number of dogs including getting the children to attack the animals.

It is claimed that all three children were raped and sexually assaulted by members of the ring, with some cheering and clapping while recording the offences.

A grandmother accused of being part of an alleged paedophile ring has been found dead - six months after fellow suspect died.

The body of Maureen McLellan, who was also known as Goudie, was found last week in unexplained circumstances in a property in Glasgow.

According to The Sun, police launched an investigation into the sudden death of the suspect, 50.

She was facing five sex offence charges - including of the rape of a small child.

Her death comes after her co-accused, Robert Brown, 51, died a few days after being hounded out of his home by protesters.

Mother-of-two McLellan's body was found on May 13, six months after she was committed for trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

She made no plea when she appeared on October 21 with another female co-accused facing the same allegations.

A source told The Sun that McLellan had not been seen for a few days and had 'long-standing problems with drink and drugs'.

They added: 'They are facing the most serious allegations but now two of the accused have died.

'It's a tragic and worrying outcome for everyone concerned.'

Her death comes after Robert Brown, 51, died in November last year, days after furious locals gathered outside his block of flats.

He was escorted by police from the property, in Townhead, Glasgow, before being moved to separate accommodation.

Jut weeks before, he had been charged with five sex offences, including raping a child under the age of 13.

Brown appeared at the city's sheriff court in October along with eight men and five women.

According to The Sun, one of the other men in the alleged paedophile ring faces 13 charges, including three of raping a child.

Another woman and three men aged 43, 47 and 54 face five charges.

A Crown Office spokesman said: 'The Procurator Fiscal has received a report in connection with the death of a 50-year-old woman in Glasgow on May 13, 2021.

'The investigation into the death, under the direction of Scottish Fatalities Investigation Unit (SFIU), was completed and after careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, the Procurator Fiscal concluded that no further action was required.

'The family have been informed of this decision.'

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'On Thursday, May 13, 2021, police received a report of the sudden death of a 50-year-old woman in Glasgow.

'The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.'

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — Chinese health care authorities declined to include Pfizer’s COVID-19 treatment drug in a national reimbursement list that would have allowed patients to get it at a cheaper price throughout the country, saying it was too expensive.

‘May Allah Destroy You!’ – Rapist Barber Jailed for Sending COVID Cash to ISIS

A convicted rapist has once again been jailed in Britain after he was found guilty of sending COVID pandemic payments to the Islamic State.

Tarek Namouz, 43, has once again been put behind bars after authorities found that he had sent over £11,000 (~$13,000) to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

Some of the money sent by the Muslim extremist is believed to have originated from COVID relief funds provided to him by the British government over the period of lockdown, with the cash injections being aimed at keeping the rapist’s barber shop in west London open.

However, according to a report by The Telegraph, the funding instead appears to have gone to ISIS, with Namouz allegedly bragging to a fellow inmate in prison that he had sent at least £25,000 (~$30,000) to the Islamic State for the purpose of funding jihad.

Namouz — who had previously been jailed for raping a woman at a pub where he was the landlord — has now been convicted of eight counts of entering into a funding arrangement for terrorism between November 2020 and May 2021, as well as a further two counts of possessing terrorist information, which was in relation to extremist ISIS videos found on his phone.

The man was subsequently handed a 12-years isentence during a hearing on Thursday, with the rapist reportedly screaming at police as he was led away.

“May Allah destroy you,” The Telegraph describes him as shouting.

The story of an ISIS sympathiser sending COVID funds abroad to support the efforts of terrorism has garnered the attention of media in the United Kingdom, with various outlets running stories covering how the British government became an unwitting party in the funding of Islamic extremism.

However, while the incident has no doubt resulted in a bad PR day for the Treasury, as well as the country’s security services, history has indicated that the European continent as a whole has long had problems with state welfare being funnelled into extremist programmes.

According to a report by USA Today, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, France, and Britain, among others, have all seen welfare funding end up in the hands of ISIS.

Denmark saw a total of $100,000 being handed to men who ended up fleeing to fight in Syria, for example.

“It is a huge scandal that we disburse money from the welfare fund in Denmark for people who go to Syria,” the country’s then-Labour Minister, Troels Lund Poulsen, remarked at the time.

“Staying in a war zone and directly or indirectly taking part in military operations is not something that is in any way compatible with receiving disability benefits.”

Despite such a strong statement, things do not appear to have gotten much better overall since then, with one expert warning late last year that the European Union, in particular, has lost its focus when it comes to tackling the financing of terrorism.

Tom Keatinge, a founding director of the Center for Financial Crime and Security Studies at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), warned in POLITICO that efforts to cut off terror financing within the bloc had dropped off substantially.

Keatinge warned that many groups within the Union are now more concerned with meeting the technical requirements set out by EU laws as opposed to actually working to eradicate the misuse of funds, leaving the EU open to seeing funds potentially mismanaged.
