Why i never blamed Marjorie Taylor Green for backing off - Trump had a similar problem with HCL. And also with stance on guns after El Paso - was forced by hue and cry to soften stmts about second amendment rights during presser on Aug 5 (same day we got deplatted).
Sometimes it's useful for a leader to martry themselves as a way to bringing attn to a situ but doesn't seem like this is the way to go right now. Sometimes people are not yet ready for something, and a public figure has to appear to go along with something for a time, simply so the masses won't kill the messenger and therefore the message.

COVID deaths plunge after major world city introduces ivermectin
A citywide initiative in Mexico City to prescribe ivermectin to COVID-19 patients resulted in a plunge in hospitalizations and deaths, two studies found.
Hospitalizations were down by as much as 76%, according to research by the Mexican Digital Agency for Public Innovation, Mexico's Ministry of Health and the Mexican Social Security Institute, according to a TrialSiteNews report highlighted by LifeSiteNews.
Earlier this month, as WND reported, a significant decrease in cases in India coincided with the national health ministry's promotion of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine treatments.
In Mexico City, after a spike in cases in December, the city's Ministry of Health created a home-treatment kit for residents. The city's metro population is 22 million.
At the time, the head of the Mexico City Ministry of Health, Oliva López, said told reporters her agency had determined "that there is enough evidence to use in people positive for SARS-CoV-2, even without symptoms, some drugs such as ivermectin and azithromycin."
Beginning Dec. 29, people who tested positive for COVID from an antigen test and who were experiencing at least mild symptoms began receiving one of the government's ivermectin-based treatment kits, TrialSiteNews reported.
The Mexican government then began a study to track the impact of the early treatment of COVID with ivermectin on the city's population.
The study tracked 200,000 people, dividing in two cohorts — those who received ivermectin and those who did not.
Through a phone-call-based monitoring system and hospital data on admissions for COVID-19, the researchers found a reduction of between 52% and 76% in hospitalizations for those who took ivermectin compared to those who did not.

The government's findings were corroborated by Dr. Juan J. Chamie-Quintero, a senior data analyst at private Colombian university EAFIT. He found that excess deaths in the city dropped sharply only a few weeks after the ivermectin treatments began.

Report: Most of $335 Million IMF Coronavirus Aid Package to Cameroon Is Missing
The government of Cameroon said on Monday it was investigating how ministers had spent $335 million in coronavirus aid from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) amid accusations from opposition parties that most of the loaned funds “could not be accounted for.”
“A government statement read on Cameroon state media Monday calls on civilians to remain calm as investigations on missing funds continue. The statement from government spokesperson Rene Emmanuel Sadi states that justice will take its course,” Voice of America (VOA) reported May 31.
Cameroon said on Monday that 15 government ministers “have appeared at the audit bench of the Supreme Court and a special criminal tribunal to account for the funds” over the past week.
The lost funds are part of an IMF loan to Cameroon meant to stave off the negative economic impact of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. Since Cameroon’s coronavirus outbreak began in March 2020, “the IMF has approved two emergency loans to the central African state totaling $382 million,” according to VOA.
“The IMF approved a disbursement under the Rapid Credit Facility (RCF) of US $226 million to support the authorities’ efforts in addressing Cameroon’s urgent balance of payment needs stemming from the COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] pandemic and the terms of trade shocks from the sharp fall in oil prices,” the IMF wrote in a press release announcing one of its coronavirus loans to Cameroon last May.
Cameroon’s government “promised the IMF to use the funds transparently, including by issuing semiannual reports on Covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus] spending, commissioning an independent audit, and publishing the names of companies awarded procurement contracts and their beneficial (or real) owners,” Human Rights Watch (HRW) recalled on April 23.
“However, the government has not yet published any detailed information that would enable meaningful public oversight over its spending,” according to HRW. “The authorities also remain silent regarding the government’s use of a Health Solidarity Fund into which all healthcare centers have paid 10 percent of their revenues since 1993. The fund is meant to serve as a reserve for public health emergencies such as the Covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus] pandemic.”
HRW urged the IMF to ensure Cameroon’s government conduct “independent and credible” audits of the funds’ use before approving a third coronavirus loan to the country, which is reportedly in negotiations.
“The sudden desire to account for Covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus] money is a positive sign that the IMF and Cameroonian government are paying greater attention to transparency and accountability as they negotiate a third loan since the start of the pandemic,” Sarah Saadoun, a senior business and human rights researcher at HRW, said on April 23.
“But unless the audits and investigations are independent and credible, the IMF risks falling for check-the-box exercises,” she warned.

Power companies run by billionaire friends Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have chosen Wyoming to launch the first Natrium nuclear reactor project on the site of a retiring coal plant.
TerraPower, founded by Gates about 15 years ago, and power company PacifiCorp, owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, said on Wednesday that the exact site of the Natrium reactor demonstration plant was expected to be announced by the end of the year.
Small advanced reactors, which run on different fuels to traditional reactors, are regarded by some as a critical carbon-free technology than can supplement intermittent power sources like wind and solar as states strive to cut emissions that cause climate change.
“We think Natrium will be a game-changer for the energy industry,” Gates told a media conference to launch the project in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Late last year the US energy department awarded TerraPower $80m in initial funding to demonstrate Natrium technology, and the department has committed additional funding in coming years subject to congressional appropriations.
Chris Levesque, TerraPower’s president and chief executive, said the demonstration plant would take about seven years to build.
“We need this kind of clean energy on the grid in the 2030s,” he told reporters.
Nuclear power experts have warned that advanced reactors could have higher risks than conventional ones. Fuel for many advanced reactors would have to be enriched at a much higher rate than conventional fuel, meaning the fuel supply chain could be an attractive target for militants looking to create a crude nuclear weapon, a recent report said.
Levesque said that the plants would reduce proliferation risks because they reduce overall nuclear waste.
