Kincora: British intelligence-run sex abuse brothel?

Half a century after the public learned that boys at a Belfast group home were sexually assaulted by senior staff, a key question remains unanswered: was British intelligence implicated in the abuse conspiracy, and did Kincora serve as a ‘honeypot’ to entrap and blackmail powerful figures?

A vast trove of declassified files on Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual, political, and intelligence escapades released by the US Department of Justice has once again thrust disgraced former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor into the spotlight. With British police reportedly reviewing Andrew’s past sexual activities and links to Epstein, questions are growing about whether Britain’s spy agencies were aware of Andrew’s alleged escapades with minors.

If the darkest rumors turn out to be true, it will not be the first time a British royal had been embroiled in a child rape conspiracy with spy agency involvement. Back in 1980, a scandal erupted when the Kincora Boys’ Home in occupied Ireland was exposed as a secret brothel run by powerful pedophiles. Chief among the alleged perpetrators was Lord Mountbatten — Andrew’s great-uncle.

From the very beginning, hints began to appear that MI5/MI6 knew of the child abuse taking place Kincora, and could have even been running the group home as part of a dastardly intelligence plot. With Britain’s domestic and foreign spies engaged in a savage dirty war in Ireland, and both services running operatives in Republican and Unionist paramilitaries, Kincora would have provided an ideal means of recruiting and compromising potential assets. Official investigations have strongly insinuated British intelligence chiefs had a close bond with many individuals who ran the Boys’ Home.

In May 2025, veteran BBC journalist Chris Moore published a forensic account of the case titled Kincora: Britain’s Shame. Featuring four and a half decades of firsthand research by the author, its groundbreaking contents have been met with general silence by British mainstream media.

In the book, Moore argues persuasively that the Boys’ Home was just one component of a more extensive child abuse network extending across British-occupied Ireland and beyond — in which London’s spying apparatus was not only aware, but likely complicit.

In 2023, Moore met personally with Kincora victim Arthur Smyth in Australia. Smyth’s stay at the Home was brief, but the horrors he endured there left him scarred forever.

“Having interviewed a number of Kincora survivors, I found Arthur’s story familiar. Sent to the Boys’ Home by a Belfast divorce court judge aged 11, he was continually preyed upon by the pedophiles who ran it, and intimidated into silence,” Moore told The Grayzone. “Arthur was also brutally abused repeatedly by a man he knew only as ‘Dickie’, who raped him while bending him over a desk.”

Rapper Lil Jon confirms his son's death days after he went missing

A person believed to be the son of rapper Lil Jon has been found dead in a pond north of Atlanta, police said on Friday.

Nathan Smith, known professionally as DJ Young Slade, left his home in Milton "under unusual circumstances" early on Tuesday morning, local police said.

Lil Jon said in a statement posted to his Instagram page that he and Smith's mother, Nicole Smith, are "extremely heartbroken for the tragic loss of our son."

"Nathan was the kindest human being you would ever meet," the statement reads.

"He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate, and warm hearted — he loved his family and the friends in his life to the fullest."

Nathan Smith, 27, "ran out of his house and has been missing since," police said in a missing person poster they circulated on social media.

He "left on foot and does not possess a phone," police said. "He may be disoriented and in need of assistance. Family and friends are concerned for his safety."

Milton police immediately began searching for Smith, police said.

After being unable to locate him, police and other agencies expanded the search include a pond near Smith's residence.

Shortly before noon on Friday, Cherokee County Fire Department divers found a body in the pond.

"The individual is believed to be Nathan Smith, pending official confirmation by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office," police said in a statement.

"Based on the investigation to date, there is no indication of foul play," police said.

"However, the Milton Police Department Criminal Investigations Division will continue to treat this as an open and active investigation."

Police said no further details would be released until the cause and manner of death are determined by the medical examiner.

Despite all this apparent privilege, Story Cowles ends up working for Epstein.

Flight logs reveal he flew to The Bahamas on an Epstein jet. As well, he also lived with Kellen, the listed Epstein boss, in the so-called model apartments in New York.

As well, Story Cowles also lived in a home in Soho, which was owned by Kellen’s former husband Brian Vickers.

At the time he met Epstein in 2006, Story Cowles was a promoter for the fanciest events in Palm Beach.

In 2006, he graduated with an associate’s degree in art studies from Florida State University.

About 10 years later, he achieved from Lynn University a Master of Business Administration. He has a Bachelor of Business from the same institution.

But the Epstein Allegations Continue to Follow Him

Moreover, his name was mentioned in a deposition made by one of Epstein’s pilots in Epstein v Edwards 2011 (see below).

Authorities said the predator was using Story to serve as his go-between hid Palm Beach operations and the jail.

Prison records obtained by DailyMail.com showed he visited Epstein almost every single day.

(He) would arrive in the morning on most days, stay for a few hours and then leave around lunch time. He would then return a second time and leave again around 7pm, generally logging six or seven hours in jail each day as a result, despite he himself having committed no crime. Epstein tried to hide his association with Cowles by having him sign in as a paralegal, as only lawyers and a doctor were among the 20 approved visitors at the jail.

So what does the socialite know about the Epstein criminal conspiracy? A lot, according to these visitor logs from prison records.

According to CNBC: “No one visited Epstein more than Story Cowles, who was reportedly his personal assistant.Cowles visited Epstein nearly 130 times.”

Story Cowles Epstein – he also gave a deposition in the 2008 Jane Doe v Epstein case.

It was argued through lawyers that much of what he discussed with Epstein was subject to attorney client privilege.

Except Story was not a lawyer nor was he a paralegal, despite claiming he was on prison logs.

One of Epstein’s household staff told the court in 2008, Story was present during a visit to Palm Beach.

According to the court transcript (below), Epstein coconspirators Nadia Marcenko and Sarah Kellen were also present.

Katrina Redfield, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Story Close Redfield of Fairview, N.C., was married yesterday to David Bradley Morgan 3d, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Jr. of Asheville, N.C. The Rev. Neil Zabriskie performed the ceremony at All Souls Episcopal Church in Biltmore, N.C.

The bride, a custom decorative tile maker, attended the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and the New York School of Visual Arts. Her father is a stockbroker for the Interstate Securities Corporation in Asheville.

She is a granddaughter of the late Edward C. W. Oelsner of Centre Island, L.I., and Palm Beach, Fla., founder and chairman of the United States Navigation Company in New York.

Mr. Morgan is president of David Morgan Ltd., a manufacturer of oak furniture and an importer of wicker furniture in Asheville. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, received an M.B.A. degree from Harvard University and served as an Air Force lieutenant. His father, who is retired, was president and owner of the Morgan Manufacturing Company, a maker of furniture parts in Black Mountain, N.C. The bridegroom is a grandson of the late Prince and Princess Alexis Obolensky of New York.

Story Close Redfield, a long-time resident of Palm Beach, died on August 9, 2013 at age 85, after a brief illness. Mr. Redfield was born in New York City, New York, on January 12, 1928. His parents were Oliver and Elizabeth Redfield of Greenwich, Connecticut. He graduated from Groton School in 1946 and earned a degree in industrial engineering from Yale University in 1950, where he was a member of the 1950 national champion rowing team. After serving in the US Navy Reserve as an executive officer of the mine sweeper USS Brambling, he worked as a securities analyst in Palm Beach and Asheville, NC from 1955-1993. Ten years ago, Tinsley Mortimer was the most photographed socialite in New York City — complete with her own reality TV show, signature lipstick shade and handbag line.

Now she’s living a secret, abusive nightmare in Florida.

Last Saturday, the 40-year-old Mortimer was arrested for trespassing at the Palm Beach, Fla., residence of her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Alexander “Nico” Fanjul, 30, the son of sugar baron Alexander Fanjul.

According to the police report, Fanjul called cops when Mortimer showed up uninvited — while Fanjul’s new girlfriend was there. When authorities arrived, Mortimer was “crying and screaming irrationally,” saying her purse was inside.

The socialite — who in 2008 launched her very own shade of Dior lipstick, Tinsley Pink — was booked into the Palm Beach County jail, charged with trespassing, and spent nearly three hours in the slammer.

Now the blond beauty, who went from diamond cuffs to handcuffs in less than a decade, has morphed into a cautionary tale for Pretty Young Things. What went so wrong?

For one thing, her 10-years-junior boyfriend, Fanjul. His billionaire family owns the right land, belongs to the right clubs — like the famously snobbish Bath and Tennis Club in Florida — and is a fixture on the party pages of The Shiny Sheet, the nickname for the Palm Beach Daily News. According to a source, Fanjul has been studying for his insurance license exam for the last three years.

He and Mortimer started seeing each other in December 2012. But Fanjul kept the relationship clandestine and mainly confined to after-hours hookups. Numerous people interviewed for this story called the duo’s dating life “unhealthy.”

But few knew just how unhealthy.

Since December 2013, there has been one arrest, four police reports and a written warning from the Palm Beach Police Department — all of which document physical abuse and trespassing. Sources say the ordeal has been a living hell for Mortimer, who continued to let Fanjul back into her life, hoping he would change and fearful of the havoc his family might wreak should she go public with claims of abuse.

According to one police report, Mortimer was hospitalized “due to a possible battery” on Christmas Day 2013.

“We saw that Tinsley had a laceration on the back of her head that was still bleeding . . . The left side of her face next to her eye was very swollen with yellow-and-green bruising. We also saw red and bruised markings on her forearms, biceps and elbows,” wrote the officer after visiting Mortimer, who had her mother, Dale Mercer, by her side, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

She received three staples in the back of her head. Originally, Mortimer told officers that she tripped and fell.

Days later, on New Year’s Eve, Fanjul called the police because of an “unwanted guest.” The cops arrived to find Mortimer locked in a bedroom at Fanjul’s home declaring she was fearful of him and wanted to prosecute her sometime lover. The police report says she “appeared intoxicated” and her speech was slurred. She was issued a written warning for a trespass.

On New Year’s Day, she came clean in a phone conversation with police. According to that report, Mortimer was trying to intervene in a fight between her boyfriend and his younger brother, Oliver “Reddy” Fanjul, when she was “struck in the eye by Reddy.” Nico then “defended his brother,” and “the argument escalated to the point he covered her mouth and nose,” the report says.

It also read that Mortimer “made it clear she does not want to prosecute for the battery. She made several references to how powerful the family is” and his “family’s status in Palm Beach.”

Still, Mortimer continued to date Fanjul. A source says she was drawn back in by his apologies. (Calls to Fanjul were not returned.)

“After her marriage dissolved, she became another blonde in a room instead of Mrs. Topper Mortimer,” says the publicist.

In 2010, Mortimer’s reality show, “High Society,” premiered on the CW network to sneers and gasps. In one scene, her co-star Jules Kirby admits that the N-word “really should be OK to say.”

“What killed [Mortimer] was that reality show, honestly,” says someone who has sat on charity boards with Mortimer. “That was her demise.”

Since separating from her husband in 2009 and divorcing in 2013, Mortimer has been linked to men including “Bachelor” star Prince Lorenzo Borghese and “American Idol” alum Constantine Maroulis, who tells The Post that Mortimer’s “got some growing up to do” but is a “lovely girl.”

The former party-photo staple tells The Post that she moved to Florida in 2012 “to get away” from the pressures of the spotlight, and to be close to her mom.

But, as New York Social Diary creator David Patrick Columbia points out: “The problem with Palm Beach is that it’s too much money, and if you don’t have it, you’re nobody. And that’s tricky for a pretty girl like Tinsley.”

“These benefits are intended to enable low-income households to obtain a more nutritious diet by increasing their food-purchasing power, not to stock someone’s restaurants,” said Foley. “This is the tip of the iceberg.”

The U.S. Attorney’s Office tells the Herald that the person assigned to the new role will be announced in the coming weeks.

Federal and state clash

The new position also comes as Foley has been critical of state officials in Massachusetts, including Gov. Maura Healey, for not doing enough to stop and prosecute those committing the fraud and for not properly notifying federal authorities to fraud being uncovered.

“It is not particularly hard to identify these scams,” Foley said, “but if you don’t even care to look or prosecute those involved, essentially allowing criminals to steal vast amounts of taxpayer money with impunity, the scams will continue to proliferate unabated.”

In a press release, SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler noted, “Once again, the Trump SBA is taking decisive action to deliver accountability in a state whose unaccountable welfare policies have created a culture of fraud and abuse at the expense of law-abiding taxpayers and small business owners.”

“Today, we announced we have suspended nearly 112,000 borrowers tied to at least $9 billion in suspected fraud. This staggering number represents the most significant crack-down on those who defrauded pandemic programs, and it illuminates the scale of corruption that the Biden Administration tolerated for years.

“As we did in Minnesota, we are actively working with federal law enforcement to identify the criminals who defrauded American taxpayers, hold them to account, and recoup the stolen funds. FBI boss raises concerns Biden-era bureau may have 'buried' truth about Chinese Communist Party ties to dangerous biolabs on U.S. soil, cites 40% increase in Chinese espionage arrests.

BI Director Kash Patel says his agency has resumed an aggressive counterintelligence offensive against China and its Communist Party (CCP) that had been sidelined during the Biden presidency but is concerned the prior administration may have "buried" the truth about dangerous biolabs on U.S. soil tied to Beijing.

“This FBI, under this leadership, has prioritized the threat against it by the CCP against us, and we've taken swift action,” Patel said Friday in an interview with the Just the News, No Noise television show that focused on China’s threat to U.S. national security and the bureau’s efforts to handle the Chinese Communist Party.

The FBI boss said the renewed efforts have already resulted in a 40% increase in Chinese espionage arrests in the first year of the second Trump administration.

“What we did in the last year with President Trump and the attorney general and the Department of Justice is reprioritize our dynamic threat landscape, going after and disrupting and looking after the criminal activity from the CCP,” he explained.

Just the News reported this week that an illegal biolab in California searched by local, state, and federal authorities in 2023 and a separate hazardous lab inside a Las Vegas garage raided by the FBI over the weekend are both tied to a Chinese national currently awaiting trial for fraud, false statements, and adulteration of medical devices, according to court filings, police officials and members of Congress.

An unusually active sunspot region is now crossing the Sun. The region, labelled AR 4366, is much larger than the Earth and has produced several powerful solar flares over the past ten days. In the featured image, the region is marked by large and dark sunspots toward the upper right of the Sun's disk. The image captured the Sun over a hill in Zacatecas, Mexico, 5 days ago. AR 4366 has become a candidate for the most active solar region in this entire 11-year solar cycle. Active solar regions are frequently associated with increased auroral activity on the Earth. Eiges was arrested in August 2020 by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and placed in military detention under highly classified conditions. Prosecutors accused him of committing multiple grave Security Offenses during his service, alleging that his actions were deliberate and carried out alone. The army maintained that he did not act on behalf of a foreign power, for financial gain, or out of ideological motives, but for what it described only as “personal reasons.”

At the time of his arrest, then-IDF chief of staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi said the case involved an incident that “nearly caused damage to a state secret,” adding that the harm was prevented shortly before it could occur.

Eiges was held for nine months at Neve Tzedek military prison while plea negotiations were underway. He faced a potential indictment covering dozens of alleged offenses and an expected sentence of a decade or more. On May 17, 2021, the eve of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, he was found unconscious in his cell and died several hours later in hospital. The immediate cause of death was never definitively determined.

An autopsy conducted in Israel and follow-up forensic testing in the United States failed to establish a clear medical explanation. Military officials initially suggested, without formal attribution, that Eiges may have taken his own life, a claim his family strongly disputed.

The prison in which he was held had been newly opened and designed to reduce the risk of suicide, including continuous camera surveillance and specially designed fixtures. Footage later broadcast by Israel’s public broadcaster Kan News showed Eiges collapsing in his cell weeks before his death, crawling toward the camera and signaling for help. According to the report, this was one of several medical episodes during his detention, at least one of which resulted in hospitalization.

A final opinion by the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office rejected the suicide theory. The opinion stated that Eiges’s death resulted from “a severe medical failure combined with a series of command, medical, and investigative shortcomings.” It concluded that he entered prison without a known health condition but suffered repeated medical events that were inadequately treated and insufficiently monitored.

NASA has captured striking new images of interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS as it unexpectedly flared while exiting the solar system, an unusual surge of activity that has intrigued scientists and fuelled fresh online speculation about the object's origins.

NASA's SPHEREx space telescope has captured new infrared observations of comet 3I/ATLAS showing a dramatic increase in activity in December 2025, months after the object made its closest approach to the Sun.

Instead of gradually fading as expected, the comet released a surge of gas, dust and complex molecules while already on its way out of the inner solar system.

The Comet In Question

The observations revealed a glowing coma surrounding the comet, rich in water vapour, carbon dioxide and organic compounds. Scientists also detected a distinctive, pear-shaped dust tail, formed as rocky material was ejected into space during the outburst.

Researchers say the timing of the flare-up was unexpected. Comets usually become most active near perihelion — the point at which they pass closest to the Sun — when solar heating causes surface ice to sublimate.

In the case of 3I/ATLAS, however, the most intense activity occurred well after that point.

'Rather than quietly dimming as it moved away, the comet became significantly brighter,' said Carey Lisse, lead author of the study, in a statement from NASA. "Even water ice was rapidly turning into gas far from the Sun."

Comet 3I/ATLAS was discovered in July 2025 by the ATLAS asteroid survey and is only the third confirmed interstellar object ever observed passing through the solar system.

The first, 1I/'Oumuamua, detected in 2017, drew widespread attention due to its unusual shape and motion, while the second, 2I/Borisov, identified in 2019, behaved more like a typical comet.

In a statement announcing his resignation, McSweeney admitted the decision to appoint Peter Mandelson as ambassador was “wrong” and said he leaves his role “with pride in all we have achieved, mixed with regret at the circumstances of my departure”.

He said: “After careful reflection, I have decided to resign from the government.

“The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong. He has damaged our party, our country and trust in politics itself.
