Trudeau’s split from wife reveals some shocking truths

If the opposition and its supporters can’t figure out a way to compete on a level beyond rumors, personal attacks, and wardrobe critiques, then they’re in big trouble.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced recently that he and his wife of 18-years, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, were amicably separating, leaving some Canadians jealous that they couldn’t do the same. Immediately, the rumor mill went into overdrive.

Some on social media suggested that the split involved an affair between Trudeau and very much married Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly — to the point that her name trended for days on Twitter — all because the two had been photographed looking close, and some observers apparently fail to grasp the nature of touchy-feely French-Canadian culture. Others suggested, even more outlandishly, that he was involved with his left-wing coalition partner, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh — again, married and a new father — or even French President Emmanuel Macron.

What flew much more under the radar is the fact that Trudeau asked for privacy in the announcement of his split. While Trudeau himself generally (and admirably) avoids ad hominem attacks on his political opponents, he nonetheless made intrusion into private lives official policy with the Covid jab mandates, which should have remained a private choice made between every citizen and their own doctor. Forcing Canadians to inject themselves with a dodgy substance of even more dodgy effectiveness just to go to the gym or grab a burger isn’t exactly keeping your nose out of people’s private business. Neither is blocking people’s bank accounts just because they chose to support the Freedom Convoy movement when they stood up against these mandates and Trudeau overreach into the personal sphere. …

The fact that rampant speculation about affairs overshadowed the actual policy hypocrisy doesn’t bode well for the state of Canadian politics.

Will the split harm Trudeau politically? Hardly…

Trudeau himself has gone a long way in actively promoting this kind of “open mindedness.” He travels around to Pride Parades like groupies follow rock bands, but that doesn’t mean that he personally knows the LGBTQ alphabet. “I will never apologize for standing up for LGDP…LGT…LBG…LGBTQ+ kids’ rights to not have to undergo conversion therapy,” Trudeau said back in 2021. So when just days after his separation, Trudeau posted a photo on social media from a movie theater while dressed in a pink hoodie that read, “Love you more,” alongside his teenage son, also dressed in pink, with the Barbie movie poster looming in the background and the caption, “We’re team Barbie” — it wasn’t getting limbered up for his coming out. Come on, now — has he even bothered to tell us what his pronouns are? He was just trolling — and pandering. In other words, playing the simple-minded like a fiddle.

Remember, this is a former drama teacher who politically survived photos unearthed back in 2019 of himself dressed up for an “Arabian Nights” gala in 2001 — looking more like Aunt Jemima from the pancake syrup bottles….It’s not like it’s entirely out of character for him to dress up for a movie. But that didn’t stop critics from concluding that the kid in the photo with him — his son — must be his new boyfriend…

Pinning hopes of ousting Trudeau in the next Canadian federal election, set for October 2025, on precarious personal attacks is a losing strategy. Anyone who has to play in that register in order to beat Trudeau is totally incompetent. Trudeau has messed up enough when it comes to substantial policy issues that you really don’t need to look any further. Those who criticize or attempt to counter Trudeau primarily on shallow matters completely unrelated to his ability to run the country only play into the same brand of dumbing down that keeps Trudeau in power.

Trudeau has successfully played shallow-minded and easily led morons like a fiddle by hitting all the woke or politically correct notes that make them feel good about electing him. They figure that by voting for a guy who sounds and acts so “woke,” they’re a good person. It makes them feel that they’re contributing to the continued projection of Canada as open and tolerant — rather than just a country whose voters’ minds are so wide open that they’re falling out.

Trudeau has made an entire political career of dominating the virtue signaling playing field and succeeding in keeping nearly all debate within its limits. The Freedom Convoy fiasco proved that when he's dragged into the policy realm and challenged by a critical mass of people with the ability to actually think outside of the establishment dogma he promotes, then he loses and ultimately folds….

Lukashenko calls for radical change in Belarus’ relations with EU

Belarus wants to have a better relationship with the West and its neighbor Poland, the country’s leader has announced

Minsk is ready to mend ties with its Western neighbors, President Alexander Lukashenko has said, indicating he was ready to converse with everyone, but especially Poland.

The president made the remarks on Friday, as he spoke to reporters amid his visit to Minsk airport and a local civilian aircraft plant. The president admitted that the country had been“living at the expenses of the East” lately, actively cooperating with Russia and China.

“But we must not forget about the high-tech West. They are nearby, they are our neighbors – the European Union. And we cannot lose relations with them. We are ready for this, but taking our own interests into account,”Lukashenko stated.

In particular, the country is ready to have friendlier relations with its immediate neighbor – Poland, the president said. While Warsaw has been “aggravating” the situation in the region lately, it has been doing so on the US’ behalf, Lukashenko suggested, adding that the Poles were not “stupid,” but actually “our people, the Slavs.”

“I instructed the PM to contact them. If they want, let’s talk, fix relations. We are neighbors, one does not choose neighbors, they are from God,” Lukashenko declared, admitting, however, that a thaw in tensions with Poland was unlikely to happen before the country’s parliamentary elections, which are scheduled for October 15. “Of course, it is necessary for them to escalate now, heat up the situation in order to show that they properly armed and re-armed the country,” he said.

Belarus’ relationship with the West has been complicated for decades now, rapidly deteriorating in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election in the country. The polls, marred by widespread mass protests, were contested by an opposition that had received open support from the EU, with Poland becoming one of its most active backers.

Relations with the neighboring country have deteriorated even further amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with Poland rapidly militarizing itself. As of late, Warsaw has repeatedly voiced concerns over the Russian defense contractor Wagner Group, which ended up relocating to Belarus in the aftermath of its botched insurrection in late June.

Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki claimed that the alleged activities of the PMC near the border were “undoubtedly a step towards an upcoming hybrid attack on Polish territory,”while Lukashenko dismissed such allegations, insisting Warsaw had “gone mad” with all the rumors around Wagner.

Liberty MO Odd Fellows defunct Asylum

"Originally built in stages between 1900 and 1935 on a 240-acre hillside just outside the county seat of Liberty, Mo., the Odd Fellows Home as it is pictured on the color postcard from 1910 opened its doors in 1900.

The original complex operated much like a company farm and those who were staying at the home and were able to work were expected to contribute to the societal good. As time progressed, a hospital, orphanage, school, nursing home and cemetery were added to the growing complex.

Three of the red brick buildings with buff limestone accents were designed by William Ittner in the Jacobethan Revival and Tudor Revival style. The site was recognized as a National Historic Landmark in 1987 as the Odd Fellows Home Historic District.

The Odd Fellows, (IOOF) is a fraternal society with secret rituals, rites and passwords. One of the more interesting “artifacts” left behind by the IOOF at the Liberty, Mo. site is the actual skeleton of a former Odd Fellow affectionately named “George.” George was a member of another local chapter of IOOF and had donated his body to the medical sciences. Rather than being cremated, as is the case for modern cadavers following their educational purpose, Geroge’s skeletal remains were returned to the IOOF in Liberty for use in initiation rituals. George’s remains remain on site today in a glass case.

During WWII, the home served as a residence for German prisoners of war (POW). After VE day in May of 1945, the POWs were released and the facility was converted into a nursing home.

By the late 1970’s the school, orphanage and hospital had closed. The only portion that remained operational was the nursing home. The Odd Fellows Grand Lodge of Missouri continued to operate the home until 1993.

Dr. John Louis Bean and his wife Marsha purchased the home from the IOOF in 1993 and over an eight-year period, developed what has become a destination for regional wine enthusiasts as well as paranormal investigations, the Belvoir Winery.

Winery employees report seeing ghostly images in the various hallways in the main building. One such occurrence was when a young boy appeared wearing a red shirt, blue knickers and brown shoes. The boy disappeared after about three seconds. Another time during set up for a wedding, a winery employee heard a female spirit say, “Hello little one,” to her daughter.

A Ghost Hunters television program investigation cited two separate instances of spirits answering questions out loud in one winery building and ghostly children finishing a song that was sung by Ghost Hunter production personnel."

Tim Gioe will never forget how his Roman Catholic priest, Patrick Wattigny, used their time alone when he was a boy.

It was during these moments together – during the sacrament of confession – that Wattigny began grooming him for sexual abuse, of which the clergyman was recently convicted.

So now the 36-year-old Gioe and his wife, Sarah, who are raising three sons together, are advocating for schools and other parochial institutions to be formally required to obtain fully informed parental consent

before priests are left alone with children to hear about – and forgive – their sins as part of what is also known as reconciliation.

The Gioes would also like for it to be required to offer parents the opportunity to at least see into any space where such confessions would be heard, to reduce the chances of anything abusive taking place.

“Me and Sarah have had some conversations about whether we would ever allow our children to be in [confession alone] or one-on-one with a priest,” Gioe said. “And the answer, for me, is no.”

As the Gioes told it recently to the Guardian, it’s easy to understand why the topic is an urgent one for the couple, who are nurse practitioners and run a psychiatric office together.

For one, despite Tim’s abuse, he and Sarah are sending their boys – ages two, five and seven – to local parochial schools because they often offer better educations than many of their public counterparts in their home state of Louisiana.

The pair, who met while they were in nursing school, also still believe in their Catholic faith.

Then there’s the lifelong effects of the violation of trust that Gioe endured at the hands of Wattigny, 55.

For the first time ever with a media outlet, Tim agreed to open up about it – along with how Sarah and other loved ones helped him survive pressing a case against Wattigny –

in hopes that his experience somehow shields others from undergoing a similar ordeal.

“Evil does exist,” Gioe said. Addressing those who may be in positions to consider reforms like the one he’s suggesting, he remarked:

“What are they going to do to protect my kids, to protect their kids, and to protect their kids’ kids?”

Gioe recalled that he was nine when he met Wattigny in the summer of 1996 in Covington, Louisiana, about 40 miles north of New Orleans.

Gioe’s family had just moved there from another south-east Louisiana community, and Wattigny tried to warm himself to the boy by telling Tim that he and his father had gone to high school together.

Wattigny also spoke approvingly of how Tim played baseball and would offer the boy pro players’ cards for him to add to his collection, according to Gioe.

“He … became … very much like a friend,” Gioe said of Wattigny. “He told me I could tell him anything.”

Soon, Gioe ended up going to confession with Wattigny, which Catholics are required to complete if they want to then engage in the sacrament of communion.

German nuns aided in the abuse of children by priests in the 1960s and 1970s, according to recently released court documents.

A victim testified that he was abused more than 1,000 times by clergy after nuns dragged him to the home of predators, Deutsche Welle reported.

The victim alleged some of the nuns received money for acting like "pimps," Der Spiegel reported.

German nuns in the city of Speyer received money for luring children to predatory priests who sexually abused them, local media reported from recently released court documents.

One victim, Karl Haucke, filed a court case seeking compensation from the Catholic church and alleging more than 1,000 instances of abuse over the 10 years he lived at a now-shuttered children's home, Deutsche Welle reported.

The case was decided in May, but the documents were only recently released. Haucke was awarded $18,000 for his suffering, the outlet reported.

The Bishop of Speyer has identified the primary abuser as a vicar named Rudolf Motzenbäcker, who is now dead.

The abuse is alleged to have happened in the 1960s and 1970s.

Haucke said he was "literally dragged" by nuns to Motzenbäcker's home where he was abused, Der Spiegel reported.

If he resisted, Haucke alleged, he would be beaten.

Haucke also testified that influential visitors to the children's home would abuse him and other children as young as 7 at "sex parties."

Child trafficking is a very predominant problem that I feel people do not talk enough about.

It is something that happens more often than we think or at least more often than the media portrays it.

Child trafficking now takes place in black markets and it mainly functions due to organized criminals, but believe it or not, there was a time when medics, nuns, and even priests were making big money by selling children.

You would not expect a priest or nun to do such an atrocious thing, but for many years Spain hid a big underground secret network for child trafficking run by what was considered “normal people” or even people that worked for God.

This secret network ran for almost 50 years without the world knowing, leaving many parents without their babies.

The main trick used was to tell the parents that the newborn had died due to various reasons after birth.

An investigation done by the BBC in 1989 discovered thousands of fake graves of newborns that have been taken away from their parents and sold on the black market by nuns and priests.

In ten years this secret network evolved at a national level and even if the authorities were receiving some concerns about the increased level of dead newborns, no one cared enough to actually look into it.

The Spanish Catholic Church had been found out after many years to be at the roots of this secret network and being the ones making the big bucks on this organized crime.

Who would expect priests or nuns to be so cruel and cold-hearted? No one, that is the reason why this managed to stay a secret for such a long time.

Although you may be thinking how come no one buying these children exposed this secret network?

This is because all of their clients were quite rich people who were also fooled by being told that the large sum of money being paid is due to the adoption taxes “implied by the government”.

The reason I have mentioned Franco is that it seems that most of the children that were stolen were from parents that were either communist or republic, in other words against Franco’s regime.

It was never proven, but based on this information it is very likely that Franco also knew about this dirty business, the reason why the authorities within Spain never got involved.

It is June 6 1969 and Spain is living through the final years of Franco’s dictatorship. At a clinic in Madrid, a woman gives birth to a baby girl she will never see again.

Little is known about what happened to that mother – but almost 50 years later, her daughter Inés Madrigal has just given evidence in a shocking trial.

In the dock was Dr Eduardo Vela, an 85-year-old former gynaecologist accused of stealing Inés from her biological mother.

Vela is alleged to have given the baby as a “gift” to a couple, the Madrigals, who were unable to have their own children. He denies the charges.

Despite the cinematic plot, this is not an isolated case. A network of baby trafficking is believed to have involved a vast network of doctors, nurses, nuns and priests.

Although there is no official figure, the SOS Stolen Babies association estimates that as many as 300,000 babies were taken from their parents in Spain between 1939 and the 1990s.

Among the many problems victims face, the lack of institutional support in Spain is probably one of the most serious. Evidence of the extent of the network is still unclear,

and theSpanish Catholic churchhas so far denied access to its files.

So far, the only person convicted in relation to these cases is Ascensión López – herself one of the alleged “stolen babies” – who was prosecuted for slandering a nun.

A court ruled she had wrongly accused the nun of taking her from her biological mother and handing her to ageing adoptive parents in 1962.

An 85-year-old gynaecologist is to become the first person in Spain to stand trial in connection with the alleged theft and sale of hundreds of thousands of children during and after the Franco regime.

Dr Eduardo Vela arrives in court today charged with the abduction and illegal adoption of a new born girl in 1969, in what is being seen as a test case that could trigger wider investigations into the scandal.

Victims’ groups claim as many as 300,000 babies were stolen and sold under the dictatorship of General Francisco Franco between the end of the Spanish Civil War in 1939 and the years after his death in 1975.

Many were taken from Republican families and given to those loyal to the regime.

The Catholic Church is no stranger to scandal.

The federal investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election appears to be gaining traction, with the Justice Department having brought in a well-regarded new prosecutor to help run the inquiry

and a high-profile witness seeking a deal to provide information.

Alex Jones, the host of the conspiracy-driven media outlet Infowars and a key player in the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” movement, is in discussions with the Justice Department about an agreement to detail

his role in the rally near the White House last Jan. 6 that preceded the attack on the Capitol.

Through his lawyer, Mr. Jones said he has given the government a formal letter conveying “his desire to speak to federal prosecutors about Jan. 6.”

The lawyer, Norm Pattis, maintained that Mr. Jones had not engaged in any “criminal wrongdoing” that day when — chanting slogans about 1776 — he helped lead a crowd of Trump supporters in a march to the Capitol

as violence was erupting.

As a condition of being interviewed by federal investigators, Mr. Jones, who is known for his rants about the “Deep State” and its supposed control over national affairs, has requested immunity from prosecution.

“He distrusts the government,” Mr. Pattis said.

While convincing federal prosecutors to grant him immunity could be an uphill climb for Mr. Jones, his discussions with the Justice Department suggest that the investigation into the postelection period could be gathering momentum.

Two weeks ago, another prominent Stop the Steal organizer, Ali Alexander, a close associate of Mr. Jones, revealed that he had received a subpoena from a federal grand jury that is

seeking information on a broad swath of people — rally planners, members of Congress and others close to former President Donald J. Trump — connected to political events that took place in the run-up to Jan. 6.

Mr. Alexander, who marched with Mr. Jones to the Capitol that day, has said that he intends to comply with the subpoena.

Publix heiress, funder of Jan. 6 rally, gave $150,000 to GOP attorneys general association

A wealthy Trump donor who helped finance the rally in Washington on Jan. 6 also gave $150,000 to the nonprofit arm of the Republican Attorneys General Association, records show, funds that a person familiar with the contribution said were intended in part to promote the rally.

The nonprofit organization paid for a robocall touting a march that afternoon to the U.S. Capitol to “call on Congress to stop the steal.”

On Dec. 29, Julie Jenkins Fancelli, daughter of the founder of the Publix grocery store chain, gave the previously undisclosed contribution to RAGA’s nonprofit Rule of Law Defense Fund, or RLDF,

records reviewed by The Washington Post show. On the same day, the records show that Fancelli gave $300,000 to Women for America First, the “Stop the Steal” group that obtained a permit for

the rally featuring former president Donald Trump.

Funding for the events in Washington that day is a focus of the House select committee investigating the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol that followed the rally.

The panel is also interested in the role state officials, including attorneys general, played in encouraging people to go to Washington on Jan. 6 and in supporting Trump’s efforts to overturn the election,

according to people familiar with the committee’s work.

The leaders of Women for America First have been subpoenaed by the committee, as has Caroline Wren, a Republican fundraiser who was listed on that group’s permit as a “VIP ADVISOR.”

Both of Fancelli’s donations were arranged by Wren, according to the records and the person with knowledge of the contributions, who like some others interviewed for this story spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

“We have many questions about coordination and funding, and we are actively seeking records and testimony that will answer those questions,” said committee spokesman Tim Mulvey.

“Many witnesses are already engaging with the committee, and we expect cooperation to help us get the answers we’re seeking.”

The documents sought by the subpoenas sent to rally organizers were due Wednesday.

Fancelli, who is not involved in Publix business operations, did not respond to multiple requests seeking comment, and it is unclear if she knew about the robocall ahead of time.

In a statement to the Wall Street Journal, which reported in January that Fancelli had given approximately $300,000 to support the rally,

she said: “I am a proud conservative and have real concerns associated with election integrity, yet I would never support any violence, particularly the tragic and horrific events that unfolded on January 6th.”

Alex Jones, a far-right talk show host and conspiracy theorist who was involved in the Jan. 6 rally, has said that it cost “close to half a million dollars.”

He has also said a donor he did not identify paid for 80 percent of the rally.

In a statement to The Post, Wren’s lawyer said: “Ms. Wren, in her role as an event planner, assisted many others in providing and arranging for a professionally produced and

completely peaceful event at the White House Ellipse with hundreds of thousands of Americans who were in D.C. to lawfully exercise their first amendment rights, a primary pillar of American democracy.

Ms. Wren was not present at the United States Capitol or the Capitol Grounds on January 6th.”

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones met virtually on Monday with the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, he announced on his broadcast.

A source familiar with the investigation confirmed the meeting to CNN.

“I just had a very intense experience being interrogated by the January 6 committee,” Jones said on his broadcast on Monday. “They were polite, but they were dogged.”

Jones said that, by his lawyer’s count, he had pleaded the Fifth Amendment “almost 100 times” and that he had been told to do so “on advice of counsel.”

Jones said that while he had wanted to answer the questions, he was afraid to do so because he believes that the committee, specifically Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, would twist his words,

and Jones said he had been afraid of not answering all questions correctly and potentially perjuring himself.

“The questions were overall pretty reasonable,” Jones said. “And I wanted to answer the questions, but at the same time it’s a good thing I didn’t,

because I’m the type that tries to answer things correctly even though I don’t know all the answers, and they can kind of claim that that’s perjury, because about half the questions I didn’t know the answer to.”

Jones said he had been shown “a bunch of emails” that he had not seen before. He also said he believes that the committee has gotten access to his phone because he was shown text messages from his phone,

including messages with January 6 rally organizers Cindy Chafian and Caroline Wren, who also have been subpoenaed by the committee.

“They have everything that’s already on my phones and things, because I saw my text messages to Caroline Wren and Cindy Chafian and some of the event organizers,” Jones said.

On his show, Jones shared that the panel had asked him repeatedly who his White House contact was to help with rally planning and organizing.

Jones said that Caroline Wren, a major fundraiser for the Donald Trump campaign, was his contact for rallies on January 5 and 6.

Jones suggested that Wren was with a group of officials at the Ellipse on January 6 who led him “to the back of the stage so we could then go and get around the crowd and go lead the march.”

Jones said he had sought to direct people to a spot near the Capitol where organizer Ali Alexander planned to hold a permitted rally. He said he did not support people going into the Capitol, which he called “so stupid and so dumb.”

In its subpoena letter to Jones, the committee cited news reports and his own statements to make the connection between Jones, Wren and Chafian and said the three worked toward “facilitating a donor,

now known to be Julie Fancelli, to provide what (he) characterized as ‘eighty percent’ of the funding” for the rally on the Ellipse on January 6.

The committee stated that Jones had been denied a speaking spot at the January 6 rally but that his previous comments indicate he had been designated to “lead a march to the Capitol,

where President Trump would meet the group.”

Jones said on Monday that it was the belief of those at the Capitol that Trump was going to join them in some capacity after his speech at the Ellipse on January 6.

Jones said he heard from witnesses to the committee that Trump had told his then-chief of staff, Mark Meadows, that he wasn’t going to meet his supporters at the Capitol

but could drive by or fly over the crowd with a helicopter because he had done that at other large events.

Jones said Trump “kept marveling” at the size of the crowd and that the then-President “was super excited” about the number of people gathering at the Capitol.

Jones also relayed on Monday that the committee had asked him whether he had heard of any plans for violence on January 6.

Jones said the only talk he had heard about possible violence was through news reports and that he was not privy to any insider information. He described it as “background noise” that you “always hear about politics in America.”

“There was, you know, headlines about insurrection acts and Trump was all over the news. But I was getting this from the news like everybody else,” Jones said.

He denounced any suggestion that he had been involved in the planning of violence at the Capitol.

“Let’s get something clear for the committee and my audience and everybody else: I don’t want a civil war in this country, and that’s a terrible idea,” he said. “And I don’t want lawlessness by anybody.

And I don’t want anybody attacking anybody, OK?”

‘So stupid and so dumb’

Jones acknowledged that he uses rhetoric about fighting but said that applied only to the information wars. He has repeatedly used hostile rhetoric and references to war in his messages about the election.

“InfoWar means we fight with information,” Jones said, adding that it was a “nonviolent war.”

The committee’s subpoena to Jones referenced comments from a guest host on his program on December 31, 2020, that seemed to foreshadow the riot.

“We’re going to only be saved by millions of Americans moving to Washington, occupying the entire area, if necessary storming right into the Capitol,” the host, Matt Bracken, had told viewers.

On his show Monday, Jones condemned those comments that had been made on his show, claimed he hadn’t heard them before he had received the subpoena and said, “Quite frankly, I was shocked by it.”

Jones also shared that he had learned from his deposition that the committee listens to his show almost every day.

Jones said the committee also asked him whether he used Oath Keepers or Proud Boys as security.

He said he hired his own private security but added that he later found out that the leader of the Oath Keepers, Stewart Rhodes, “would assign someone to us.” CNN previously reported that

Rhodes’ Oath Keepers protected Jones at multiple “Stop the Steal” rallies and that some were tasked with providing a personal security detail for Jones and Alexander on January 6.

“I had 12 to 14 security people,” Jones said, elaborating that he hired a “well-known private security company” based out of Texas that provided him with personnel composed of “DC and Maryland police.”

“I go and try to get professional people,” Jones added, joking that they were probably Democrats.

Jones did say that everywhere he went, people “of every different type” followed him around.

He revealed that he had eaten at a Hooters restaurant with some members of the Proud Boys after attending a rally in Georgia prior to January 6.

Jones, referring to the indictment of Rhodes on seditious conspiracy charges, said that if the Oath Keepers were attempting to foment a violent rebellion, it’s not something he knew about or desired.

The committee acknowledged specifically in its subpoena to Jones that once at the Capitol, he had told people “not to be violent” and to gather and wait for Trump to speak.

Even though Trump never went to the Capitol that day, the committee said the location where Jones had told people to wait “coincided” with the place that

“Stop the Steal” rally organizer Alexander had obtained a permit for that day.

On his show, Jones said he had tried to discourage people from entering the Capitol but described containing the crowd as “mission impossible.”

“We learned there were a bunch of people inside the Capitol,” Jones said. “And that was so stupid and so dumb. I didn’t support it that day and I don’t support it now.”

“We got the hell out of there once we couldn’t stop it,” Jones later added, calling January 6 a “horrible historic fiasco” and saying he wished it had “never happened.”

Solomon made the comments on Real America News Friday morning morning and again at night on Hannity on the Fox News Channel. Hannity described the documents as a “smoking gun”.

“Here is the last piece. I think Republicans have to show that Joe Biden took some action. He himself took some action to change U.S. policy or affect U.S. policy at the request of, or to the benefit of Joe, of Hunter Biden’s client.

And I’ll tell you where I think this is going to show up. We’re going to go right back to where we this started this whole scandal back in March 2019 when I wrote the first story about the videotape of Joe Biden saying, ‘I threatened to take a billion dollars away from Ukraine and son-of-a-b they fired the prosecutor I wanted fired.’

Well, for the last four years we’ve been told time and again that decision was official U.S. policy. Joe Biden didn’t change policy, he was just carrying it out, so the fact that it impacted his son’s company–no big deal.

I think that story’s going to fall apart in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned, we’ve got some new documents we’ve obtained through litigation and though sources, uh, gonna put a whole new spin. If Joe Biden changed the policy for his son, meaning he went against the U.S. government’s recommendations, did something different than what the government expected him to do, that I think escalates

this into something much bigger.

The proximity becomes actual action by Joe Biden. That’s what I’d be watching.”

A bombshell new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has revealed that a staggering 120,000 American children have “died suddenly” following the public rollout of the mRNA Covid shots.

Throughout 2021, Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration and then-chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci insisted that the shots were “safe and effective” and necessary for protecting kids from the virus, despite children only showing mild symptoms if any at all.

On December 11, 2020, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine was granted emergency use authorization (EUA) for administration in individuals 16 years of age and older by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

On May 10, 2021, the FDA expanded the EUA for the use of the shots to include adolescents 12 through 15 years of age.

On June 17, 2022, the FDA authorized emergency use of the mRNA Covid vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech to include use in children down to 6 months of age.

Just over a year on, the report, which was quietly released by CDC with little attention from the corporate media, has revealed that nearly half a million children and young adults have now died since the injections were approved for use on most children.

Over 118,000 of those deaths are suspected to be linked to the Covid vaccines’ side effects.

It may have a reputation as an ecological paradise but Hawaii is also one of America’s most fossil fuel-dependent states. This is largely because of its isolated location in the Pacific Ocean – jet fuel accounts for more than half of all transportation fuel consumption in the state, according to the United States Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The state economy depends heavily on tourism and the military, and such is the demand from military installations and commercial airlines that jet fuel makes up a larger share of total petroleum consumption in Hawaii than in any other US state except Alaska.

To cut the state’s greenhouse gas emissions, the Hawaiian government launched the clean energy initiative in 2008, which pledges to establish new green credentials and aims to use 100% renewable electricity to power the entire state by 2045.

Having introduced ambitious renewables goals for power generation, Hawaii is now looking at cleaning up ground transportation, a major source of fossil fuel consumption.

Fresh missile attacks on Crimean Bridge foiled, local reports say

The head of the region Sergey Aksenov has reported that two projectiles have been downed and the key transport infrastructure remains intact

Russian air defenses have shot down two incoming missiles in the vicinity of the Crimean Bridge, the region’s head, Sergey Aksenov, reported on his Telegram channel on Saturday. Photos and videos have been circulating on social media depicting what appears to be several columns of smoke coming from the transport infrastructure.

In his post, Aksenov wrote: “Air defenses have shot down two enemy rockets in the Kerch Strait area.” He added that the “Crimean Bridge has not been damaged,” and called on local residents to remain calm.

Meanwhile, Aksenov’s aide Oleg Kryuchkov, revealed on his Telegram channel that a “smoke screen has been set off by the special services.” He also wrote that the Crimean Bridge would be reopened to vehicles “very soon.”

Later in the day Aksenov issued another message, saying that one more missile had been downed over the Kerch Strait. The official also expressed gratitude to the Russian air defenses for their “professionalism.”

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine “attempted to conduct a terrorist strike on the Crimean Bridge using a guided air-defense S-200 missile converted into a strike version” around 1pm Moscow time on August 12.

It said Russian air defenses had “detected the Ukrainian rocket in a timely manner and intercepted it in mid-air.”

The statement added that the foiled missile attack had not caused any casualties or destruction.

Commenting on the latest attempted missile strikes on the Crimean bridge as well as a separate thwarted drone attack on the peninsula early on Saturday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova strongly condemned these “terrorist attacks.”

She went on to stress that despite the bridge being a “purely civilian infrastructure,” it has been attacked repeatedly since last fall.

According to the Russian diplomat, Kiev is targeting the transport artery in retaliation for its faltering counteroffensive, which has so far failed to live up to high expectations.

Zakharova concluded that by engaging in such “barbaric actions,” Ukraine is showing its true face to the international community. The official also warned that Russia would retaliate.

On July 17, two seaborne explosive-laden drones rammed into the Crimean Bridge, causing one of its inner segments to collapse. The attack claimed the lives of two adults, leaving their teenage daughter seriously injured, and orphaned.

President Vladimir Putin described that incident as “yet another terrorist attack by the Kiev regime,” adding that the bridge was not being used for the transport of military supplies.

Late last month, the head of Ukraine’s intelligence service SBU, Vasiliy Malyuk, confirmed that it was behind the deadly truck bomb blast last October. The explosion killed several civilians and seriously damaged the bridge’s structure.

The bridge was built in 2018 to connect Crimea to the Russian mainland.

Multiple Ukrainian drone attacks intercepted over Crimea

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that air defenses downed 20 UAVs, with no casualties on the ground

Russian air defenses brought down 20 drones in the early hours of Saturday over Crimea, the Defense Ministry has revealed, calling the incursion an attempted “terrorist attack” by Ukraine.

The ministry wrote on Telegram that 14 UAVs were shot down, while six others were incapacitated by electronic warfare.

“There were no casualties or damage as a result of the thwarted terrorist attack,” the ministry noted.

The statement added that the destroyed drones had targeted unspecified facilities on the peninsula.

Several hours earlier, Oleg Kryuchkov, an aide to Crimea’s leader Sergey Aksenov, wrote on his Telegram channel that “air defenses had been activated over various parts of Crimea.”

Last Friday, the Russian military reported that it had downed ten plane-type UAVs and three more other drones which had attempted to strike Crimea’s critical infrastructure.

In late July, Russia’s Defense Ministry said it had foiled a similar attack, involving some 25 UAVs.

Earlier that month, a raid by Ukrainian naval drones severely damaged a roadway section of the Crimean Bridge linking the peninsula to mainland Russia. The attack claimed the lives of a Russian married couple, while injuring their teenage daughter.

Crimea, which serves as the key base for the Russian Black Sea Fleet and a major logistics hub for its military, has seen numerous UAV and missile raids in recent months, with Moscow attributing them to Kiev.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu claimed that Kiev’s attacks on civilian infrastructure are meant to distract from its faltering offensive, which has been going on for more than two months but has failed to gain any ground.

The rise in 2022 follows a 5% increase in US citizens taking their own lives in 2021, with campaigners suggesting the figures reveal a worsening mental health crisis in the United States.

“Mental health has become the defining public health and societal challenge of our time,” Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy said in a statement about the new findings. He called the numbers a “sobering reminder of how urgent it is that we further expand access to mental health care [and] addressing the root causes of mental health struggles.”

US adults aged 65 and above saw a precipitous 8.1% rise in suicides in 2022, to 10,433 cases. This reflects a continuation of historical data showing that the suicide rate in the 65+ age group has risen by 62% between 2007 and 2021, according to the CDC in June.

The research also indicated that the mental health crisis in the United States is an issue affecting all age groups. A survey conducted by the CDC in March shows that around one in three teenage high school girls said that they have contemplated ending their lives at some point. More than half – 57% – also stated that they feel “persistently sad or hopeless.”

“Nine in ten Americans believe America is facing a mental health crisis. The new suicide data reported by the CDC illustrates why,” US Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said of the report, according to CBS on Friday.

Becerra added: “One life lost to suicide is too many. Yet, too many people still believe asking for help is a sign of weakness.”

June figures, also from the CDC, showed that nearly one in five (18.4%) US adults said that they had been diagnosed as suffering from depression at some point in their lives.

However, the survey also suggests that a person is more likely to be diagnosed with depression depending on circumstances, such as where they live. Just under 13% of Hawaiian citizens reported a depression diagnosis, compared to 27.5% in West Virginia, the CDC said.

Egypt rejects US pressure to arm Ukraine – WSJ

Cairo has reportedly balked at requests to send weapons to Kiev as it seeks to maintain neutrality on the conflict with Russia

Egyptian officials have reportedly decided not to get involved in arming Ukraine, shrugging off repeated US requests to produce artillery shells and other weapons needed for Kiev’s counteroffensive against Russian forces.

Washington has also asked Egypt to supply antitank missiles, air defense systems and small arms for Ukraine, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing unidentified US officials. The requests were made on multiple occasions, including a March meeting between US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo.

“In conversations with US officials, Egypt hasn’t definitively rejected the requests, but Egyptian officials said privately that Egypt has no plans to send the weapons,” the newspaper said.

That message has apparently not reached Washington. A US State Department official expressed optimism on getting Egypt to help Ukraine, telling the newspaper that “our discussions with our Egyptian partners on our mutual interest in ending Russa’s war are productive and ongoing.”

Earlier this year, Cairo reportedly backed down under US pressure from an alleged plan to sell rockets to Russia. Al-Sisi has tried to maintain good relations with both Washington and Moscow amid the Ukraine crisis, declining to join in the US-led campaign to arm Ukraine and punish Russia.

The WSJ noted that the failure to enlist Egypt in the effort comes at a “critical moment” in the conflict, in which Ukrainian forces are trying to push through Russia’s formidable defensive lines as the US tries to rally military and diplomatic support for Kiev. Al-Sisi’s decision also comes at a time when some members of Congress are urging President Joe Biden’s administration to withhold $320 million of the $1.3 billion in annual US military aid pledged to Egypt, citing the country’s human rights record.

US intelligence agencies reportedly expected a different outcome. The Washington Post reported in April that according to leaked US intelligence documents, the Egyptian government had approved a plan to sell 152mm and 155mm artillery rounds to the US for transfer to Ukraine.

Ukraine is considering taking certain steps against Israel in retaliation for its failure to show enough support, the Kyiv Post newspaper has reported, citing an anonymous security source. Among the measures allegedly under consideration is the expulsion of Israel from high-level meetings at the US’ Air Force Base at Ramstein in Europe, on fears the Middle Eastern state may leak information to Russia.

In its article on Thursday, the Kyiv Post quoted an unnamed staffer from Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council as saying that the “Israeli authorities never provided any real help.”

According to the media outlet, officials in Kiev are unhappy about what they see as the Jewish state’s “unfriendly actions towards Ukraine and pro-Russian position on the international arena.”

In addition, the unnamed Ukrainian security staffer told the Post that there is a “real danger” that information discussed with Israel at the Ramstein meetings “will probably fall into the possession of the aggressor state.”

Known officially as the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, the regular gatherings at the air base in Germany see representatives from 30 NATO members and 24 other countries coordinate military aid donations to Kiev.

Zelensky Fires All Regional Military Recruitment Heads over Bribes to Avoid Battle Corruption Accusations

Accusations of widespread bribery have seen Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fire every head of the country’s regional military recruitment centres, as officials were reportedly caught accepting money from men hoping to avoid battle.

In the latest Ukrainian corruption scandal, 112 criminal cases have been opened against military enlistment offices throughout the country, with President Zelensky claiming that there is evidence that “some took cash, some took cryptocurrency” in exchange for helping men avoid being sent to the frontlines.

In response, Zelensky sacked all the territorial heads of recruitment centres and ordered Ukrainian commander-in-chief General Valerii Zaluzhnyi to find replacements, according to The Guardian.

“This system should be run by people who know exactly what war is and why cynicism and bribery during war is treason,” he said in a video statement. “Instead, soldiers who have experienced the front or who cannot be in the trenches because they have lost their health, lost their limbs, but have preserved their dignity and do not have cynicism, are the ones who can be entrusted with this system of recruitment.”

“The cynicism is the same everywhere,” Zelensky continued. “Illicit enrichment, legalisation of illegally obtained funds, unlawful benefit, illegal transfer of persons liable for military service across the border.”

The Ukrainian president said that every “military commissar” who faces criminal cases will be held accountable. He said that those who are not convicted, they can keep their military honours if they are willing to “prove their worthiness” by going to the frontlines themselves.

It comes just a week after Zelensky slammed the “revolting practices” of those involved in military recruitment after an Odesa-based official was revealed to have somehow obtained $5 million and property in Spain.

Meanwhile, according to Ukrainian news site ZN.ua, the Ministry of Defence has been accused of potential corruption as some 4,900 jackets purchased from Turkey were bought for $421,000 when they only should have cost $142,000.

Corruption is nothing new in the former Soviet state, with Ukraine consistently ranking among the most corrupt nations in the world. Despite this, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union have all poured billions into the country since last year’s invasion by Moscow.

Despite growing opposition to continued American involvement in the war, President Joe Biden is currently trying to pass through an additional $24 billion in aid to Ukraine.

House Republicans, who are currently blocking the latest round of funding, have previously alleged potential corruption, including officials engaging in bribery as well as purchasing food supplies for the military at vastly inflated prices.

This week Heritage Action Acting Executive Director Ryan Walker told Breitbart News that before any more American tax dollars are sent to Kyiv, there should be a full accounting of the $113 billion already sent to the country and that the White House should actually lay out a strategy for the war.

Transgender ‘Man’ Who Molested Autistic Children at Therapy Center Found Dead in Jail Cell

A transgender “man” who confessed to molesting autistic children at a therapy center where they were employed has been found dead in their jail cell.

At least one of the victims was still in diapers.

The deceased predator, Leomeir Kennedy, 31, was identified in court documents as a “transgender man” — meaning they were likely born female. Neutral pronouns are being used in this report because the biological sex is unclear.

In April, Kennedy confessed to molesting three children under their care, two of which were patients at the Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center in Greenwood, Indiana, after their phone and laptop were given to police by a colleague.

“A probable cause affidavit stated Kennedy admitted to molesting a child while babysitting in October of 2017. He claimed it happened once while changing the child’s diaper,” Fox 59 reported earlier this year.

Kennedy told police that they chose to work at the center because it was a “victim pool.”

The mother of one of the victims, a nonverbal child, told the station that she began noticing changes in their behavior in January.

“More temper tantrums, more aggression, and self-injuries,” the mother, identified only as “Jane,” said. “A lot more.”

“They can’t talk to us. They depend on them and us. For someone who we have to trust and they have to trust to do something like this is sickening. It’s terrible.”

Fox 59 reported, “Investigators said Kennedy admitted to molesting one child during a diaper change and another child while tickling them. Court documents show Kennedy said one of the children had ‘lust’ in their eyes and described it as feeling like ‘Christmas’ when he touched the child.”

“A search of Kennedy’s electronics reportedly found a search on DuckDuckGo of a ’13-year-old gang raped’ and two sexual images of very young children he received from someone on the Whispr app,” the report added.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Kennedy was unresponsive in their cell at approximately 9:32 a.m. on Friday.

Prison staff attempted to revive the predator using CPR, but Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Johnson County Coroner’s Office has said that there is no indication of foul play, meaning it was likely a suicide.

The predator was supposed to go to trial at the end of July, but it was moved to September.

Alabama Special Education Teacher Arrested for ‘Sending Explicit Video’ to 17-Year-Old

An Alabama special education teacher has been arrested for sending an “explicit video” to a 17-year-old student.

On August 9, law enforcement was alerted that Franklin County Schools employee Timothy Mark Wells had sent the inappropriate video to the teenager.

Wells is a special education teacher at Phil Campbell High School.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) obtained the video and issued a warrant for the teacher.

News 19 reports, “Wells admitted to sending the video to someone under 18 years old while being interviewed by officers.”

Wells turned himself into the Franklin County Detention Center on Friday morning.

The disgraced teacher is charged with being a School Employee Distributing or Soliciting Obscene Material to or from a Student and Distributing Harmful Materials to Minors.

Franklin County School Superintendent Greg Hamilton told News 19 that Wells has been placed on administrative leave.

“I am aware of the on-going investigation. I find the allegations deeply concerning. The education, welfare, and safety of the students of Franklin County are top priorities of the Franklin County Board of Education. I cannot discuss specific details or personnel matters,” Hamilton told local station WAFF.

It remains unclear if there are additional victims. The investigation is ongoing.

Authorities told the local station that Wells will be issued a bond by a Franklin County judge.

Ian Watkins, Lostprophets Singer Convicted of Child Sex Offenses, Brutally Stabbed in Jail

Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins is fighting for his life after being stabbed several times on Saturday in a British jail where he is serving a 29-year sentence for sex crimes.

The 46-year-old singer was reportedly grabbed by three fellow inmates and held hostage before being stabbed and left to die in a cell, according to the Mirror.

“He was found by officers after being held hostage and battered on Saturday morning. He’s in a life-threatening condition and there are fears he could die. If he survives, he’ll have been very lucky,” a source told the paper.

Watkins was reportedly held for six hours by the other inmates and suffered a serious beating before being stabbed, authorities say.

“Police are investigating an incident which took place on Saturday at HMP Wakefield. We are unable to comment further while the police investigate,” HMP Wakefield prison officials said in a statement.

Several days later, law enforcement said Watkins’ injuries were not life-threatening.

Lostprophets performed from the late ’90s through the early 2000s, but fell apart when leader Watkins was convicted on sex offenses in 2013. Watkins was charged with thirteen sexual offenses against children, including the attempted rape of a one-year-old girl.

During his trial, Watkins was accused of blowing crystal meth fumes in a child’s face to get the child ready for sexual assault and that he plotted to sexually abuse two babies with the approval of the mothers of the infants. It was also alleged that Watkins had a video recording of his sex acts with a child.

Watkins eventually pleaded guilty to several counts of rape and sex with a child as well as possession of child and human-on-animal porn.

The group disbanded in 2013, one month before Watkins was convicted and handed a 29-year sentence in December.

One of Watkins’ ex-girlfriends said she was surprised that such a brutal attack on the singer hadn’t occurred before now.

“My only reaction is simply that I cannot believe it took them so long, particularly in Wakefield Prison,” former girlfriend Jo Mjadzelics told the Mirror.

Honduran Asylum-Recipient Sentenced for Smuggling Migrants — For Third Time

A Honduran migrant will spend six and a half years in prison for his third conviction on human smuggling charges. The Honduran man had been smuggling migrants for more than nine years — some of that time while he was under asylum protection.

This week, 41-year-old Marlon Enrique “Gordo” Gallegos Rapalo appeared before Chief U.S. District Judge Randy Crane in McAllen, Texas. The judge sentenced him to six and a half years in prison. Gallegos pleaded guilty to human smuggling charges earlier this year following an arrest in July 2022.

According to information released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas, Gallegos was living in the U.S. under asylum protection — meaning that he could not be deported at the time of his multiple offenses. Court documents show that he had been arrested several times and had been sent to prison two times before, once in 2015 and once in 2017, on human smuggling charges. During the sentencing hearing, Crane said Gallegos had “committed a serious abuse of the system” and ordered that he be deported after completing his sentence.

According to prosecutors, Gallegos leased a house in McAllen and used it to house more than 200 migrants who were being moved into the country and on to the north. At the time of his arrest in July 2022, authorities found 35 migrants inside the stash house.

A criminal complaint from October 2014 revealed that Gallegos helped carry out a smuggling attempt where they used scouts and various vehicles to move migrants in and out of a stash house. After authorities raided that house, they found 15 migrants and learned that Gallegos had also been arrested in February 2014 but his charges had been “dropped.” Court documents do not reveal a reason for the dismissal of the charges. In the October 2014 case, Gallegos pleaded guilty and received a prison sentence of one year and four months.

In February 2017, federal authorities arrested Gallegos near McCook, Texas, where he was in charge of a stash house. Court documents revealed that Gallegos would bring food and water and coordinate the migrants being taken and removed from the house. In that case, Gallegos also pleaded guilty and received a prison sentence of two years and three months.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the devastating wildfires in Hawaii that have left at least 80 dead with approximately 1,000 people still unaccounted for.

A new fire on Friday night led to the evacuation of ab area near the town of Kaanapali in West Maui. Reports Saturday reveal that fire has been 100% contained.

About 1,000 people are missing in the devastating Hawaii wildfire whose death toll has climbed to at least 55 – including a disabled veteran who sent his family a terrifying photo of raging flames near his home.

Gov. Josh Green told reporters Thursday night that around 1,000 people were still unaccounted for in what was becoming the deadliest disaster in the Aloha State’s history.

MARION — In an unprecedented raid Friday, local law enforcement seized computers, cellphones and reporting materials from the Marion County Record office, the newspaper’s reporters, and the publisher’s home.

Eric Meyer, owner and publisher of the newspaper, said police were motivated by a confidential source who leaked sensitive documents to the newspaper, and the message was clear: “Mind your own business or we’re going to step on you.”

The city’s entire five-officer police force and two sheriff’s deputies took “everything we have,” Meyer said, and it wasn’t clear how the newspaper staff would take the weekly publication to press Tuesday night.

The raid followed news stories about a restaurant owner who kicked reporters out of a meeting last week with U.S. Rep. Jake LaTurner, and revelations about the restaurant owner’s lack of a driver’s license and conviction for drunken driving.

French State Broadcaster Fires Second Journalist for Antisemitic Tweets

Revelations about the social media usage of journalists from French state media outlet France 24 has seen a second figure pushed out for his antisemitic tweets.

France 24 fired their Beirut correspondent Joelle Maroun in March after revelations of extremist social media posts by The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA), and now a second journalist Dina Abi-Saab has also been fired.

CAMERA say after their exposé revealing posts by France24 journalists expressing “support for terrorism and antisemitism in their Arabic social media accounts”, three members of staff — Laila Odeh, Sharif Bibi, and Dina Abi-Saab — were required to sign an ethics charter.

The document contains a promise to reject “any incitement to crime, violence, hatred, racism, anti-Semitism, misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia”, the campaign group stated.

It is reported Odeh and Bibi signed, but Abi-Saab refused, leading to her ouster at the state media firm. Israel’s i24 reports Abi-Saab is a Lebanese heritage journalist who was France 24’s Geneva correspondent and who reportedly blamed Jewish people for the Israeli-Palistinean conflict and praised a terrorist online.

Much of the content highlighted by CAMERA showed a certain preoccupation among the four with Adolf Hitler, with one writing that she wished Hitler was born Lebanese. As noted by the Jerusalem Post, the French government was called out for using taxpayers’ money to fund the salaries of the journalists.

Following the dismissal of the journalists, CAMERA executive director Andrea Levin said: “What we see is that these France 24 Arabic journalists hold intensely passionate antisemitic attitudes and extremist political views that appear deeply rooted.

“Contrary to what France 24’s leadership may think, Odeh’s support for antisemitism and terrorism isn’t normal political ‘activism’ and is unlikely to be dispelled in conventional warnings that she adhere to professional ethical standards.”

“France 24 evidently knows there’s a serious problem to be addressed,” Levin added. “That’s important. Hopefully, the network’s leadership realizes the full implications – that activist antisemites on their Arabic staff will undermine the integrity of the entire enterprise – as antisemitism so often does when it’s not vigorously renounced and removed.”
