WATCH Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow

Footage obtained by RT shows the moment a disabled aircraft exploded in the financial district on July 30

A blast caused by a downed Ukrainian drone in Moscow’s financial district in late July sent people scrambling for safety and shattered the windows in one of the nearby skyscrapers, footage obtained by RT shows.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Moscow came under Ukrainian drone attack on July 30, with a total of three aircraft involved. It said that while one drone was destroyed by air defenses outside the capital, two others were disabled, veered off course, and crashed “on the territory of a non-residential complex in Moscow City [business district],” which is home to numerous companies and government organizations.

Security footage from cameras inside and near the Federation tower shows the moment one of the drones exploded. The 21-second clip from outside the building shows a powerful explosion smashing windows, with a man standing at the entrance scrambling to huddle against the walls.

Another 11-second video, filmed on the ground floor inside the tower, shows a security post, and a guard talking to a woman. After a powerful explosion, both can be seen running deeper into the building.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said the attack caused minor damage to the facades of two office buildings, adding that there were no casualties or injuries.

In recent weeks, Ukraine has ramped up its attempts to target Moscow with drone strikes, which have been mostly unsuccessful. On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Moscow’s air defenses had thwarted another “terrorist attack” involving two Ukrainian drones which were shot down on their way to the Russian capital.

In late July, commenting on the recurring Ukrainian drone raids on Moscow, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that they looked like “acts of desperation” that he claimed were motivated by Kiev’s failure to breach Russian lines during its much-hyped counteroffensive. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine has lost more than 43,000 service members and almost 5,000 pieces of military equipment since the start of the push in early June.

Powerful explosion at factory in Moscow Region

The authorities have ordered the evacuation of the entire facility

A powerful explosion has rocked a factory in the town of Sergiyev Posad outside of Moscow, with evacuation efforts underway, local authorities have said.

The incident took place on the territory of the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant, which according to its website, designs and produces optical and electronic equipment.

Prosecutors have confirmed preliminary data suggesting that the explosion occurred in a pyrotechnics warehouse.

Andrey Vorobyev, Moscow Region’s governor, said citing emergency services that 31 people were injured in the blast. Later, he noted that 43 people had been taken to a local hospital, with six of them, who suffered burns and head injuries, being treated in intensive care.

He stated that a total of 52 people sought medical assistance after the blast, adding that five people may still be trapped under the rubble.

Mass evacuation efforts have been announced from all facilities on factory premises.

Numerous clips shared by local media show a large plume of smoke rising from the factory, towering over nearby buildings.

A source in the emergency services told RIA Novosti that the explosion took place due to a violation of technical procedures.

Meanwhile, the Mash Telegram channel shared footage from a nearby security camera that captured the moment of the explosion, showing a fireball and a plume of smoke rising in the distance. It claimed, citing eyewitnesses, that the blast shattered windows in at least ten nearby buildings, with ceilings collapsing in offices close by.

The BAZA Telegram channel said that the emergency services had arrived on the scene and that traffic near the factory had been closed.

Suspect in Crimean gas pipeline blast detained – FSB

Authorities claim the Russian citizen had been recruited by Ukrainian special services

A man suspected of blowing up a gas pipeline in the Crimean village of Koreiz in June has been apprehended, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Wednesday. Authorities say the 43-year-old Russian citizen was working for Kiev.

The FSB said in a statement that the suspect was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in June 2022 in Dnepropetrovsk Region. While there, he allegedly underwent reconnaissance training and was then sent on a sabotage mission to Crimea.

On June 23 of this year, the unnamed suspect proceeded to blow up a gas pipeline using an improvised explosive device provided by his Ukrainian handlers through a hidden cache, the FSB claimed.

It was stated that during a search of the suspect’s garage, authorities seized a foreign-made C-4 plastic explosive charge weighing 2kg, two military-grade electric detonators, two electric igniters, and a home-made charger.

The FSB reported that a criminal case has been launched on counts of terrorism and the illegal possession of explosive devices. According to the authorities,the Russian citizen has already confessed to cooperating with the Ukrainian special servicesto prepare and commit acts of sabotage and terrorism.

In a video interview published by the FSB, theman claims that he was blackmailed into cooperating with the SBUafter Ukrainian authorities discovered that he had Russian citizenship.

“They told me they wouldn’t leave me alone and would put me in prison for having dual citizenship and proposed that I cooperate. They told me I wouldn’t have any problems and would in the long term be able to move to live in Crimea along with my family, and that they would help with everything,” the man said.

He claims that after he agreed, he was given a basic course on how to work with explosives and was sent to Crimea, via a third country, to await further instructions. Several months later, the man says he was ordered to collect a package that contained several detonators and explosives, and was instructed to blow up any gas transportation pipeline he could find. His family, the SBU allegedly told him, would only be allowed to join him after he had carried out his mission.

On June 23, Crimean authorities reported that a pipeline in the settlement of Koreiz had been damaged, leaving around 500 people without gas. However, the pipeline had already been repaired by the end of the same day.

Ukraine claims it foiled Russian plot to kill Zelensky

A woman allegedly feeding information on the president’s whereabouts has been arrested

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced on Monday that it arrested a woman who had passed on intelligence to the Russians about the location of President Vladimir Zelensky so they could try to assassinate him.

The suspect is a resident of the port city of Ochakov in Nikolaev Region,who once worked at a military supply store as a sales clerk, according to the authorities. The SBU said it caught her “red handed” while passing on intelligence to the “invaders.”

The woman, who has not been named, allegedly inquired about Zelensky’s schedule and route ahead of his visit to Nikolaev in June. The SBU detected her and implemented additional security measures to protect the president, while deploying agents to gather more evidence on the suspected “Russian informant.”

The security service alleges that the woman also sought to identify the location of electronic warfare systems and ammunition warehouses in the Ochakov area, so that Russian forces could target them in a “massive air strike.” She allegedly traveled around the district and photographed the location of Ukrainian Armed Forces objects, while also secretly inquiring about them in the “social institutions” of the region.

The SBU’s announcement comes just a week after Politico published a feature about Kiev’s contingency plans in case Zelensky is assassinated, which the outlet claimed he narrowly avoided on several occasions.

Politico even named the circle of people who would take over for the former actor, with the speaker of the parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, acting as the figurehead, Zelensky’s producer and chief of staff, Andrey Ermak, running the daily operations, and the triumvirate of Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov, and General Valery Zaluzhny managing the war.

The SBU has been on a hunt for enemies of Ukraine from the moment hostilities with Russia escalated in February 2022. The next month, it summarily executed a businessman who had been working for Ukraine’s military intelligence to sabotage talks with Russia – which Kiev admitted only a year later.

More recently, the SBU raided hundreds of homes and offices in Kiev and 11 regions of Ukraine in pursuit of what it called a widespread conspiracy to sell fraudulent medical mobilization exemptions for $6,000 apiece.

Although the SBU claimed that the “Russian informant” directly threatened Zelensky’s life, the Ochakov resident was charged with unauthorized dissemination of information about the movements of troops and equipment, with amaximum penalty of up to 12 years in prison if convicted.

San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas reportedly said Wednesday the 7-Eleven clerks who apparently beat a thief will likely face no charges.

Viral footage from July 29 showed two clerks apparently beating a thief with a rod after the individual apparently attempted to steal a shelf full of cigarettes and other items inside a 7-Eleven in Stockton, California. The Stockton Police Department is reportedly investigating the clerks for suspected assault. The thief reportedly needed medical attention after the incident.

“The Stockton 7-11 Store Clerks are not, and have never been, suspects of the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office,” District Attorney Ron Freitas said in a statement, according to KCRA. “Any Investigation going forward is to hold accountable the individual who threatened & attempted to rob them.”

Jimmy Carter's Grandson Shares Health Update on "Really Sick" Former President

A Claim to Fame contestant is giving insight into former U.S. president Jimmy Carter's health.

After competitor Hugo Wentzel was eliminated from the ABC series and revealed he's Carter's grandson, he discussed whether he's been able to visit the 39th commander-in-chief since filming the show.

"It's been harder and harder to see him," the 24-year-old, whose mother is Carter's daughter Amy, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Aug. 8. "My mom spends a lot of her time with him. She spends almost half her time taking care of him at this point just because of things like COVID regulations. So, it's really family oriented. I haven't been seeing him as much recently, but he knows that I love him and we're supporting him through this time."

Wentzel also shared how the 98-year-old politician has been doing since his organization, The Carter Center, announced in February that he's receiving hospice care at home.

"He's pretty sick," he noted to the outlet. "He still does use his brain. He listens to audiobooks. He's a genius. He's super smart. I love him. He always wants to be doing something with his mind, so he's trying to keep himself busy, but he is really sick and getting older."

In addition to speaking about his grandfather, Wentzel talked about his grandmother former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, 95, whose dementia diagnosis was first shared in March.

"I just want to say that she's an amazing woman," he continued. "She's put in so much work in her life. She's done things for mental health. I want everyone to know how incredibly important and beautiful she is as a person and a grandma. Yeah, she does have dementia and when I see her, she does forget what's going on sometimes, but when she remembers it's amazing. I love her."

After Wentzel revealed he's related to the Carters on the Aug. 7 episode of Claim to Fame, he went on to praise his grandfather for his personal and political legacy.

"He's an amazing grandpa, honestly," he told his fellow contestants. "I love him so much. I call him Papa. He led America and my family very well. I stand for everything he stands for. He believes in equality for everyone regardless of race, class, gender, anything. He's an amazing person. I aspire to be like him one day."

And Wentzel shared a sweet message to Carter. "I love you so much, Papa. You're amazing, and I will do everything I can to keep your legacy alive."

Before exiting the show, he left viewers with one final piece of advice. "Lead with love," Wentzel added, "that's all I gotta say."

Ex-Trump Officials Sue Target Alleging Pride Month Investor Risk

Target is facing a lawsuit from former Trump officials who claim the retailer misled investors about financial risks from LGBTQ Pride marketing that brought a conservative backlash costing shareholders billions of dollars.

America First Legal Foundation, led by former senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller, filed the lawsuit against Target Corp. on behalf of a company shareholder Tuesday in federal court in Florida. Target in May sold LGBTQ-themed merchandise that drew the retailer into the US culture wars alongside Bud Light maker Anheuser-Busch InBev NV and other companies.

Some customers condemned Target’s merchandising of clothing and products intended for Pride Month in June, which celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. The retailer then said it was pulling some items after threats against employees, garnering additional rebukes from customers angered by its retreat.

Target lost $10 billion in market valuation between May 18 and 28, as it failed to oversee the risks of ESG initiatives, according to America First Legal’s complaint filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

“No rational board of directors or management of a retailer with a core customer base of working families would have approved such a nationwide campaign,” America First Legal said in the complaint. “Nonetheless, Target’s officials pursued.”

Target didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Culture Wars

Target’s Pride Month kerfuffle came soon after Anheuser-Busch faced a conservative-driven boycott for partnering with a transgender influencer to sell Bud Light beer. Bud Light said last week that its US revenue fell 10.5% in the second quarter, around the time of the boycott.

Much of the backlash against environmental, social and governance policies—often referred to as “woke capitalism” by Republican politicians—has focused on companies demonstrating support for the LGBTQ community or implementing diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

America First Legal appears to be building other legal cases. The organization this spring put out a call on Twitter, now known as X, for shareholders of Target, Anheuser-Busch or other companies “that are promoting transgender, LGBTQ and PRIDE products and diminishing shareholder value” to get in touch with them.

Target had given investors information that led them to assume it was assessing political and social risks when it was not, Gene Hamilton, America First Legal’s vice president and general counsel, said in a statement to Bloomberg Law.

“The only thing Target’s board and management cared about was how effectively they fulfilled the desires of various metrics advanced by leftwing ‘stakeholders,’” Hamilton, a former counselor to Trump Attorneys General Jeff Sessions and William Barr, said in the statement.

America First Legal is joined in the case with Boyden Gray PLLC and Lawson Huck Gonzalez PLLC. Boyden Gray has helped bring several cases over ESG issues, including against board diversity requirements for Nasdaq-listed companies.

Famous for her puppeteering during the 2014 Ukraine coup, the thinking behind this choice of envoy couldn’t be clearer.1/2

France has been kicked out of Niger by its new military government, by extension placing US interests there in peril. Who would ever have thought that the US footing the bill for training Nigerien soldiers would result in a net gain for Russia and China? Apparently not the US State Department.

Enter Victoria Nuland with demands to speak to those in charge. Officially the acting US deputy secretary of state,Nuland should really change her title to ‘Regime Change Karen’. In modern parlance, a ‘Karen’ is a middle-aged woman “who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people’s behaviors.” Karens can often be spotted at the customer service desks of big box stores demanding to speak to the manager – or in this case, the military leaders now in charge of Niger.

Nuland rocked up to Niger and demanded to speak to the ousted president, but was refused the opportunity. Instead, she got to meet with one of the coup leaders– the new army chief of staff, Brigadier General Moussa Salaou Barmou, who not only trained at Fort Benningand at Washington’s National Defense University, but was photographed alongside US Special Operations in Africa Commander Lt. Gen. Jonathan Braga just a few weeks ago at a US drone base in Niger.

In a State Department teleconference on Monday, Nuland said that she was in Niger “because we wanted to speak frankly to the people responsible to this challenge to the democratic order.” That didn’t actually require a foreign trip, though. She could have just stayed home and called a staff meeting. You made this mess yourselves, guys.

“The benefit from the joint mortar training event is twofold – providing Nigerien soldiers with a tangible skill, while also bolstering the partnership between US and Niger forces,” the Pentagon said in 2021 of a joint training exercise. Looks like all those skills came in handy when it came to kicking out US-allied France.

“We met with the self-proclaimed chief of defense of this operation, General Barmou, and three of the colonels supporting him,”Nuland said. “I will say that these conversations were extremely frank and at times quite difficult because, again, we were pushing for a negotiated solution.” Interesting how peace and negotiations suddenly appear on the table when Washington loses its foothold, finds itself in too weak or precarious a position to start dropping bombs, and needs to buy some time to regain the upper hand. Such was the case with the Russia-Ukraine Minsk agreements of 2014 and 2015, which used peace as a pretext for better arming Kiev against Moscow as Western allies trained and supplied Ukrainian neo-Nazis at Russia’s doorstep. Nuland not so subtly hinted at Washington’s priorities when she said that she “had a chance first to sit with a broad cross-section of Nigerien civil society,” describing them as “long-time friends of the United States.” In other words, to better shore up the in-country proxies to defend US interests.

Washington and Regime Change Karen here are unabashed control freaks. Nuland was long obsessed with Europe’s Nord Stream pipeline of cheap Russian gas – until it was mysteriously blown up. She was spotted in Ukraine back in 2014, handing out cookies to anti-government protesters and caught discussing the potential roles of Ukrainian opposition leaders post-regime change. That recording leaked, featuring Nuland expressing just how much she values US allies and international law when they don’t quite align with Washington’s agenda for Kiev once US-friendly puppets are installed. “So that would be great, I think, to help glue this thing, and have the UN help glue it, and you know... F**k the EU,” Nuland told US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt…

At a Senate hearing earlier this year into “Russian aggression in Ukraine and beyond,”Nuland demonstrated that she couldn’t even resist keeping her hands off neighboring Belarus, underscoring that the US was “working intensively with the Belarusian opposition.” Regime Change Karen has her nose in everyone’s business. It seems to run in the family, as her husband, Robert Kagan, is a prominent neoconservative interventionist whose biography on the State Department website describes him as an expert on “NATO expansion.” He also co-founded the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) think tank, which set out the blueprint for endless US regime change wars against countries that didn’t adhere to Washington’s agenda.

In Niger, that agenda includes keeping the door unlocked so that Washington can come and go as it pleases, like it has in Ukraine, up to and including the point of being able to exploit the country’s resources or use it as a crash pad for operations against its geopolitical foes. Which would explain why the CIA set up a drone base in Niger for its African operations in the wake of the Benghazi fiasco in Libya, after which Washington lost its foothold there. It’s likely not a coincidence that Libya is right next door.

Washington apparently did not foresee that Nigerien troops would take their US-funded training and use it to start defending themselves against what they perceived to be Western interference. Regime Change Karen seems miffed that they didn’t follow the usual path of getting trained up by the US to subsequently be used and exploited to fight Washington’s wars.

If Nuland and her colleagues have any potential at all for introspection amid this fallout in Niger, they might want to start considering what could happen if the Western-backed Azov neo-Nazis also decide someday to betray the interests of their benefactors in favor of defending their own – with all their generously donated firepower courtesy of Western taxpayers. In which case, good luck trying to get your money back or finding the manager. He probably wouldn’t be sporting a name tag – maybe just a Nazi tattoo.

Profits of Western arms makers top $200 billion – report

US, EU, and UK defense contractors have been major beneficiaries of weapons sales to Ukraine

The revenues of the top Western defense contractors have been soaring, with American weapons makers dominating the global arms industry, Defense News reported on Monday.

According to the magazine’s new ranking of the top 100 defense firms, in 2022, America’s top five weapons contractors made $196 billion in military-related revenue.

The ranking shows that four US-based companies were among the world’s top five military contractors. The US has emerged as the main source of weapons for Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia, having committed around $37 billion in security assistance to Kiev.

In the first half of the year, the revenue of the top 25 Western defense contractors increased by 11% to $212 billion, corporate information cited by the Ravenstvo Media Telegram channel shows.

According to the calculations, the total arms sales for these companies for 2023 are expected to amount to $448 billion – a $47 billion increase on last year. By 2026, the amount could rise by more than 20% to $554 billion on the back of arms deliveries to Ukraine and rearmament in Europe, the report noted.

It is estimated that Western defense contractors will increase revenues by $150 billion, or 37%, from 2021 to 2026. In contrast, economic growth in advanced countries will be half of that pace in the same period, Ravenstvo Media reported. It cited IMF projections that by 2026, the collective GDP for advanced nations will be $67.8 trillion, compared with $56.6 trillion in 2021.

US manufacturer Boeing is dominant among defense-focused companies, data shows, with supplies to Ukraine ranging from ScanEagle unmanned aerial vehicles and Avenger air defense systems, to Harpoon and Hellfire missiles, and Ground Launched Small Diameter Bombs.

Fellow US defense contractor RTX, formerly known as Raytheon Technologies, has also supplied an array of arms and systems, including Patriot long-range missiles, Javelin and TOW anti-tank systems, and Stinger MANPADS.

France has sent SCALP long-range missiles, which are manufactured by MBDA, a joint venture between BAE Systems, Airbus, and Leonardo.

A recent report by the Pentagon inspector general revealed that some of the military equipment supplied to Ukraine by the US and its allies has fallen into the hands of criminal groups. Moscow, which strongly opposes the supply of Western weapons to Kiev, has frequently pointed to the danger of arms being smuggled out of Ukraine and sold on the black market.

Pentagon eyeing Australia as missile testing ground

Washington isn’t the first foreign power to use the country as a firing range

The US could test its hypersonic missiles in Australia, Army Secretary Christine Wormuth said on Wednesday. Such a move, under the three-member Australia, UK, US (AUKUS) pact, would represent a significant expansion of Washington's presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

China has accused the US of using the pact to “play up conflict and confrontation” with Beijing.

“One thing Australia has in spades is long distances and relatively unpopulated land,”Wormuth told the AFP news agency. “A challenge for us in the United States when it comes to hypersonics … is to find open spaces in the United States where we can actually test these weapons.”

“Australia obviously has a tremendous amount of territory where that testing is a little bit more doable, so I think that's a unique thing … that the Australians bring to the table,” she added.

The US, UK, and Australia signed the AUKUS security pact in 2021, with the three powers agreeing to cooperate on nuclear submarine construction and hypersonic missile development. China views the alliance as an explicit threat, with Defense Minister Li Shangfu stating in June that by creating a “NATO-like” block in the Indo-Pacific, Washington and its allies are looking “to hold countries in the region hostage and play up conflict and confrontation.”

It is unclear which weapons the US plans on testing in Australia as the Pentagon’s various hypersonic missiles are still in development. Russia and China are widely recognized as winning the hypersonic arms race. Moscow has been using its Kinzhal missiles to strike Ukraine, while its Avangard strategic range glide vehicles have been fielded since 2019, and Zircon anti-ship cruise missiles deployed since last year.

The US considers China the world leader in hypersonic technology, with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) particularly concerned about Beijing’s DF-17 medium-range ballistic missile. DIA chief scientist Paul Freisthler claimed in March that this missile’s hypersonic payload could easily “reach US military forces in the Western Pacific.”

The struggle for hypersonic supremacy is not the first arms race in which Australia has been used as a firing range. The UK conducted 12 nuclear weapons tests in Australia between 1952 and 1958, and more than two dozen smaller detonations of radioactive material. A majority of Australians opposed these tests, which caused a spate of illnesses and deaths among nearby Aboriginal communities and site workers, according to the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.

Illicit material was shared through a “technologically sophisticated” network, Australian authorities have said

At least 98 people have been arrested in the US and Australia as part of a sweeping child sex abuse probe, according to officials in both countries. The investigation was launched aftertwo US federal agents were shot dead while pursuing a suspect in 2021.

The FBI and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) announced the arrests during a joint press conference on Tuesday, noting that 19 people in Australia and another 79 in the US are now in custody, all facing charges linked to an alleged child abuse ring spanning multiple countries.

AFP Commander Helen Schneider said the suspects operated a “technologically sophisticated online child abuse network” on the dark web and “used software to anonymously share files,” with some believed to have committed offenses for more than a decade. She added that most of the Australian suspects worked in occupations that require a “high degree” of knowledge about online networks, helping them to evade detection.

Two of the Australian men have already been convicted, according to Schneider, while FBI legal attache Nitiana Mann said there were another 43 convictions in the US. At least 13 children were removed from harm’s way as a result of the probe.

“This operation was highly complex. The complexity and anonymity of these platforms means that no agency or country can fight these threats alone,” Mann said, adding that the FBI had alerted the authorities in other countries about suspects within their jurisdictions, though did not mention any by name.

The sex abuse ring was first uncovered by the FBI in 2021, after special agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger were fatally shot while serving a search warrant for suspect David Lee Huber in Florida. Three other agents were wounded in the firefight, after which Huber took his own life.

Evidence gathered following the deadly shootout would later tip off the bureau to a wider pedophile network beyond US borders, with the FBI passing intelligence about potential Australian members to the AFP last year. Dubbed ‘Operation Bakis’, the resulting joint probe is ongoing, and Schneider noted that future arrests should not be ruled out.

According to Mann, more than 200 international leads were sent to third countries throughout the operation, whileover 300 separate child sex abuse investigations have been launched as a result.

Barack Obama’s crumbling public image is more Louis Farrakhan, less MLK.

Barack Obama is often hailed as one of the greatest orators in modern politics. While he had undeniable gifts in that department, as someone who attended a number of his speeches in person, I never quite understood all the praise. Setting aside his career-making “red states, blue states” speech at the 2004 Democratic convention — a plea for political moderation he spent his time in office repudiating — the only memorable things Obama said were either campaign pablum such as “hope and change,” or remarks that were unintentionally revealing.

In the latter category, my personal favorite remark was this comment about congressional Republicans from 2013: “We’re going to try to do everything we can to create a permission structure for them to be able to do what’s going to be best for the country,” he said.

“Permission structure” is a phrase that’s been used by marketing executives for many years, and was apparently in common usage at the Obama White House. The idea is “based on an understanding that radically changing a deeply held belief and/or entrenched behavior will often challenge a person’s self-identity and perhaps even leave them feeling humiliated about being wrong. … Permission Structures serve as scaffolding for someone to embrace change that they might otherwise reject.”

While there’s more overlap between politics and marketing than anyone would like to admit, the naked use of jargon that comes from the world of consumer manipulation betrays a remarkably egotistical approach to politics. There was no need to address honorable disagreement to Obama’s policies, which were politically extreme and consistently opposed by voters. The White House just needed to create, with the help of a slavish media, narratives that could help people admit they were wrong and come around to his way of thinking.

Ironically enough, I thought of the “permission structure” remark reading David Samuels’ interview in Tablet with Obama biographer David Garrow, which is shaping up to be perhaps the most discussed piece of journalism of the year. That’s because the entire article is a really effective “permission structure” for a lot of Obama voters and moderates to finally admit he’s an entirely overrated, largely failed president who was far more radical than he ever let on. He’s also obsessed with celebrity and not very loyal to the people who helped him along the way.

In other words, he’s pretty much the guy his critics on the right said he was all along.

X, formerly known as Twitter, is being held in contempt by a federal judge for a delay in compliance with a search warrant of former President Trump's account requested by special counsel Jack Smith.

Driving the news: The social media giant was also ordered to pay a $350,000 fine, newly unsealed court filings show.

The existence of the warrant, which was obtained by Smith's team in January, was not previously known to the public.

Zoom in: The company ultimately complied with the warrant but did not do so until three days after a court-ordered deadline.

Guns, Burner Phones and Fake Registrations – The Buried Michigan Voter Fraud Scandal: GBI Strategies Director Gary Bell Had 70 Organizations Operating in 20 States in 2020 – TIED TO JOE BIDEN CAMPAIGN

On Tuesday, The Gateway Pundit broke a BLOCKBUSTER REPORT on 2020 voter fraud in Michigan.

The investigation had been buried by politicians, government investigators and the press.

On October 8, 2020, only one month before the 2020 general election, Muskegon, MI City Clerk Ann Meisch noticed a black female, whose name was later redacted from the police report, dropping off between 8,000-10,000 completed voter registration applications at the city clerk’s office. Clerk Meisch immediately noticed that the stacks of registrations included the same handwriting, non-existent addresses, and incorrect phone numbers.

The Muskegon Police Department was contacted and asked to investigate. On 10/21/20 First Lieutenant Mike Anderson was contacted by Tom Fabus, Chief of Investigations for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s Office. According to the MI State Police report, Fabus asked for Michigan State Police assistance with a joint investigation of alleged voter fraud being conducted by the Muskegon Police Department and the AG.

An investigative task force was formed, and an investigation was initiated.

During their investigation, the state police discovered the women worked for GBI Strategies. This was included in their police report. The group had temporary offices in numerous Michigan locations. The police also identified Gary Bell as the head of the organization.

When the police inspected the GBI Strategies office near Muskegon they found semiautomatic guns, silencers/suppressors, burner phones, a bag of pre-paid cash cards, and incomplete registrations, in an office space that was styled as an eyeglasses store that had gone defunct.

There were never any arrests. And the investigation was turned over to the FBI where it went to die, just like all of the other Democrat voter fraud investigations. Back in November 2020 Bill Barr appointed a notorious DOJ attorney who covered up voter fraud crimes.

There has always been unanswered statistical irregularities about absentee ballots from the 2020 election. These irregularities suggest massive, systemic, voter fraud among absentee ballots. Viewing the percentage of the vote each candidate won from absentee voters precinct by precinct, one can see a very suspicious correlation between the candidates in 2020 that does not exist in 2016. This suggests there was major electronic manipulation of votes combined with the physical ballots placed to back up those fraudulent votes.

There is no argument that Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a far-left Democrat, sent out absentee ballot requests without a legal request on file to every voter. There is no argument that Benson then used illegal interpretations of the law to presume that all voter signatures were a ‘match’ between the signatures on file and the ones on the ballots, even when they didn’t match.

Using COVID as the pretext, Democrats set the stage for scores of absentee ballots that would never receive scrutiny as to whether they were valid or not.

And even if some illegal ballots were caught by challengers or honest poll workers, most challenged ballots in left-wing jurisdictions were routinely ignored. 2020 Voter Fraud witnesses repeatedly noted that the ballot challenging process was ignored and suppressed.

Michigan State Senator Ruth Johnson, who is herself a former Secretary of State, told the Gateway Pundit: “My estimate is over 800,000 ballot applications were sent to non-qualified voters in Michigan, including many individuals who moved or died, and even some individuals who were underage or non-citizens. Many were sent to people who had moved out of state.”

House Republicans Release Bank Records Showing Over $20 Million In Payments To Biden Family, Associates

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday revealed over $20 million in payments they claim foreign actors from places like Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan sent the Biden family and their associates while Joe Biden was vice president.

Hunter specifically received millions from Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, Ukrainian energy giant Burisma, and Kazakh oligarch Kenes Rakishev while father Joe was VP, the committee found.

The records show Baturina wired $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a shell company belonging to Hunter and Archer, in February 2014.

And on March 25, 2014, there were two separate transfers for $2.2 million and $200,000 respectively into the Rosemont Seneca Bohai account, which Hunter and Devon Archer used to receive other personal payments such as those from Burisma. The committee says Hunter then transferred the money into another Rosemont Seneca Bohai account that he and Archer were able to access.

After this, then-VP Joe Biden attended a dinner with Baturina, Hunter, Archer and others at Cafe Milano in Washington DC.

And guess who was left off Biden's list of sanctioned Russian oligarchs? Baturina.

A renowned economist has testified that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates colluded with the head of the World Health Organization to massively profit from insider trading linked to major pandemic-related announcements.

Professor Michel Chossudovsky is a Canadian economist and author of 13 books and more than 2,000 articles.

While giving testimony at a citizen’s inquiry in Canada, Chossudovsky, a professor emeritus of economics at the University of Ottawa, testified that Bill Gates and others were informed about major Covid announcements before they were made public.

Chossudovsky, the head of the Centre for Research on Globalisation (“CRG”) which runs the website Global Research, alleges that WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gave the information to Gates ahead of announcements that impacted the stock market in 2020.

Dr. Tedros gave Gates and others ample opportunity to buy and sell stock to maximize profits based on their insider knowledge, according to Chossudovsky.

Gates made a fortune from insider trading in 2020, he said.

Throughout his long and illustrious career, Prof. Chossudovsky has been researching the global economy.

“When you freeze an economy, you contribute to mass poverty.

“And that has happened at the national and international levels,” he said during an interview with Michelle Leduc Catlin.

By closing down economic and social activity in response to the so-called covid pandemic, “from an economic standpoint, when you confine the labor force and you freeze the workplace, the answer is obvious: it’s economic collapse, of the real economy,” he added.

“You confine the workforce, you trigger bankruptcies …

“There is a logic in that: There’s a financial establishment made up of the large banking institutions and they are the creditors.

Egypt: Children recruited to fight Islamic State in North Sinai, report finds

Rights group calls on the Egyptian government to halt recruiting children as young as 12, adding conflict should be investigated by ICC for possible war crimes

Egyptian armed forces and pro-government militias fighting Islamic State (IS) in North Sinai have recruited children in violation of international law, a rights group has reported.

The UK-based Sinai Foundation for Human Rights (SFHR) said that between 2013 and 2022, children as young as 12 were enlisted, with some under 18 directly participating in hostilities. Others were tasked with spying, sweeping operations, delivering food to military checkpoints and ambushes, and searching for and disassembling explosives, the group found.

The findings, released on Tuesday, come after a months-long investigation by SFHR, partly based on testimonies from the children's relatives, pro-government militia members and a child allegedly enlisted by armed forces.

Wilayat Sina, the IS affiliate in North Sinai, killed some of the children. They included a 17-year-old who was murdered in front of his father with a scalpel and his head then left by a railway crossing in his village. Others were seriously wounded during their work, including several injured by detonating explosives, SFHR said.

Under international law, governments are obliged not to recruit or enlist children under the age of 15. Such recruitment by either a government or armed groups is listed as a war crime in the statute of the International Criminal Court.

SFHR said it is calling on the Egyptian government to: "Immediately halt the recruitment, enlistment, and use of children under 18 as combatants or in military support roles that expose them to danger."

The group also recommends that the UN Security Council refer the conflict in North Sinai to the International Criminal Court to investigate possible war crimes.

SFHR has called on other governments "to hold Egypt accountable to its international commitments related to enlisting children in armed conflict.

"Policymakers in the US and Western capitals should weigh these actions against foreign aid, especially military aid, to ensure that funds are not complicit in these practices," the report says.

Cost of North Sinai conflict

Egyptian armed forces have fought Wilayat Sina in North Sinai since 2013, during which it has attacked security forces and civilians.

In 2015, a pro-government militia, made up of tribes from the area, started fighting in support of Egyptian authorities.

The conflict has severely impacted soldiers and civilians, although it is difficult to gauge the full picture as journalists have often been barred from the area.

Human Rights Watch has said that, between 2013 and 2020, more than 100,000 of North Sinai’s 450,000 residents were displaced or left the region. In addition, at least 12,530 buildings were demolished and 6,000 hectares of farmland were closed off.

Court records from Hunter Biden’s imperiled plea deal with the Department of Justice (DOJ) divulge details on more than $2.6 million the first son received from China and affiliates of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Earlier, the DOJ announced a plea agreement with Mr. Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, whereby he would plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax crimes and would have a felony gun charge diverted.

During a July 26 hearing on his plea deal with the DOJ, Mr. Hunter Biden admitted to having received money from the Chinese energy firm CEFC. In exhibit 1 of his plea agreement, prosecutors went more in-depth on transactions between the first son, Chinese companies, and CCP affiliates.

Income received from such sources is listed as at least $2.6 million in all, however the total is likely substantially higher due to the combined way some of his income was listed in the document. Mr. Hunter Biden’s total income from foreign companies between 2017 and 2018 is confirmed by the sworn statement to have totaled roughly $4.9 million, in addition to $1 million in legal services for a CCP-affiliated Chinese national.

Though past reporting had already divulged information about Mr. Hunter Biden’s business dealings in China, the document, signed by the younger Biden himself, means that he has now affirmed having received such income under penalty of perjury.

The exhibit attached to the plea agreement details how, despite lucrative streams of income from various sources, Mr. Hunter Biden failed to pay his income tax bill to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for years.

First, the report details that Mr. Hunter Biden in 2017 received “just under $1 million from a company he formed with the CEO of a Chinese business conglomerate.”

The income flowed to Hudson West, a company Mr. Hunter Biden founded with Chinese businessman Ye Jianming in 2017.

That income came from CEFC China Energy Co. Ltd. (CEFC), an energy company founded by Mr. Ye for which Mr. Hunter Biden provided consultation and legal assistance. Mr. Ye and his company reportedly have close ties with the Chinese communist regime and the People’s Liberation Army.

In a 2020 Senate report on CEFC (pdf), Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) condemned CEFC as “an extension of the Chinese government … that … intended to alter U.S. policy and public opinion to its benefit.”

Mr. Grassley said the goal of CEFC was “[to] expand cooperation in the international energy economy and contribute to the national development.”

“The Chinese government would be the principal beneficiary of those actions,” Mr. Grassley wrote.

CEFC became China’s largest privately held oil company before it was caught in Beijing’s cross hairs in 2018. Mr. Ye was placed under investigation in February 2018 for “suspected economic crimes” and subsequently detained. Mr. Ye’s current whereabouts are unknown.

That same year, according to the court filings, Mr. Hunter Biden also received $1 million in legal fees from Patrick Ho, a former CCP government official who worked with CEFC. Mr. Ho was sentenced to three years in U.S. federal prison for crimes related to his activities at CEFC in 2019.

The court filings also show that Mr. Hunter Biden in 2017 received additional income of $664,000 from “a Chinese infrastructure investment company.” According to information listed in a September 2020 report by Mr. Grassley and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), that company was likely CEFC Infrastructure Investment LLC, a CEFC subsidiary (pdf).

World leaders must act as “ringmasters” to transition the global economy away from fossil fuels in order to combat the supposed impending doom of climate change, the United Nation’s top climate scientist has argued.

Professor Jim Skea, who was recently installed as the chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the top UN body on climate change science, said that political leaders need to act as the “ringmasters or ringmistresses” of ushering in the globalist green agenda and force people into shifting away from a fossil fuel-based economy.

Speaking to London’s Evening Standard newspaper, Skea said that climate needs a “society-wide” effort, but said that “political leaders have a particular responsibility because they set the tone for it all… They are the kind of ringmasters or ringmistresses that try to co-ordinate the different actions.”

In terms of what he expects from citizens, the climate chief said that to “keep voting… is the key issue,” arguing that certain sections of citizenries have been more radical in making demands to curb emissions than their own governments. While he acknowledged that climate extremist groups like Just Stop Oil and Extinction rebellion may be “alienating” to some more moderate voters, Skea said that they have been effective in “keeping the issue of fossil fuels on the agenda”.

The British academic, who serves as the professor of sustainable energy at Imperial College London, went on to argue that political action is more important than ever, claiming that global warming may be accelerating faster than believed.

“Climate change is happening now. You can see it on your TV screens, you can see even looking out the window, deciding what clothes you need to wear when you go out. All of this was predicted, but perhaps it’s happening more quickly than was anticipated.”

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly told aides that he is not ready to fully normalize ties with Israel and is not eager to reach an agreement with the current hardline government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

While US officials have stressed that their approach to an Israel-Saudi deal is not all or nothing and that they also back interim steps that bring the sides closer to full normalization, the stance attributed to the crown prince in a Wall Street Journal report on Wednesday appeared to be the first time a Saudi official was suggesting that such intermediate moves might be as far as Riyadh is willing to go, and that it’s not ready for an accord akin to the one Israel signed with the United Arab Emirates in 2020.

And while US officials have privately acknowledged that opponents of Palestinian sovereignty — who make up a clear majority in Netanyahu’s government — will complicate efforts to secure a normalization deal, since it will require significant moves to revive the two-state solution, the report was also the first time discomfort with the idea of making any sort of deal with the current coalition was expressed by Riyadh as well.

The first of four supporters of President Donald Trump to die on Jan. 6, 2021, received emergency medical care away from the fast-growing crowd on the U.S. Capitol’s west plaza—before any explosive munitions were used by police—new security video reveals.

Capitol Police closed-circuit-television (CCTV) footage obtained by The Epoch Times calls into question the popular narrative that Benjamin James Philips was struck by a police munition before he collapsed from a fatal cardiac event.

Mr. Philips, 50, of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, had organized a busload of area residents to travel to Washington for Mr. Trump’s speech at the Ellipse. He followed the bus in a van.

He got separated from the group when he drove away to search for parking. He got as far as the U.S. Capitol that day but never made it back home.

It has long been contended that Mr. Philips’s death was related to police riot munitions. A popular version of the story is that he was in the thick of the quickly expanding crowd on the west plaza beneath the inauguration stage when he was struck by an explosive munition tossed or shot by police.

A large sign with an artist's sketch of Mr. Philips is often seen at Jan. 6 events contending that he was “murdered by Capitol Police.”

However, the previously unreleased CCTV video, which was obtained by The Epoch Times from a Capitol Police database, shows that an unconscious Mr. Philips was tended to by protesters behind the large scaffolding complex on the west side, away from the main crowd.

A west dome security camera shows the small area where Mr. Philips later collapsed was breached by the crowd at 12:58:52, shortly after a much larger crowd breached the iron fence protecting the west plaza. Several bike-rack barricades were pushed over as the crowd surged forward.

The camera isn't zoomed in, so distinguishing details is difficult, but the video appears to show someone stumbling and falling at 12:59:17 in the spot where Mr. Philips was later seen. Bystanders began to gather around the downed individual.

The zoomed-in video of Mr. Philips’s rescue attempt begins at 1:02:51 p.m. That's the time that the U.S. Capitol Police Command Center trained one of its security cameras on the area where he fell. While the closeup video doesn't show the moment Mr. Philips collapsed, it picks up shortly after bystanders rendered medical aid and started CPR.

The first Capitol Police radio call for help was broadcast at 1:04 p.m., according to Jan. 6, 2021, audio recordings obtained by The Epoch Times.

“Can you please have someone respond to my location with an AED [automated external defibrillator]? The bottom of the west front with an individual that’s down here, unconscious and not breathing,” a female officer broadcast on the main U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) radio channel.

According to CCTV footage reviewed by The Epoch Times, the first police munitions on Jan. 6, 2021, weren't used on the west front crowd until 1:10 p.m., about 10 minutes after the first breach of police lines near the Peace Monument. This was moments before Mr. Trump finished his speech at the Ellipse, which is two miles from the Capitol.

Capitol Police Deputy Chief Eric Waldow ordered "less-than-lethal" force to be used on the crowd just prior to 1:06 p.m., according to police radio transmissions obtained by The Epoch Times. It wasn't until nearly five minutes later that force was actually used.

"I got a crowd fighting with officers, pushing, throwing projectiles," Deputy Chief Waldow broadcast. "I have given warnings about chemical munitions. I need the less-than-lethal team positioned above me to identify the agitators and start deploying. Launch, launch, launch!"

Security video shows that the iron railing and fence blocking access to the west plaza was breached by protesters at 12:58:41 p.m. Thousands of people quickly filled the plaza.

The first use of explosive force occurred on the south end of the plaza—the opposite side of the west front, where Mr. Philips went down.

Overhead CCTV video footage reviewed by The Epoch Times shows that there were no police munitions used on the north side of the plaza until 20 minutes after Mr. Philips collapsed. By this time, Mr. Philips was in a D.C. Fire and EMS Department ambulance.

The first munitions on that side of the plaza went off far back in the crowd at 1:21 p.m. At 1:25 p.m., two flashes were seen just north of the center of the plaza. Seconds later, two more powerful explosions cleared a circle around where the munitions dropped. This set off visible rage among the protesters.

Over the next hour, more than 40 munitions exploded in the crowd, most of them in the northern half of the west plaza, bodycam and security video footage shows.

A woman who appeared to have a medical kit took charge of performing CPR on Mr. Philips. She took turns doing chest compressions with a U.S. Capitol Police officer.

“Be advised that the person on the northwest side of the upper west terrace is now receiving CPR,” a male USCP officer told the police Command Center. “Have the ambulance come down the northwest sidewalk.”

A man in full camouflage tactical gear standing nearby extended his left hand in prayer and was joined by several others in the crowd.

A group of bystanders appeared to offer opinions on how best to provide advanced life support for Mr. Philips, the video footage shows.

A Capitol Police officer was concerned that the crowd was getting too agitated.

“We need this ambulance,” he said over the USCP radio at 1:13 p.m. “We’re about to lose control of this crowd down here.”

At about 1:15 p.m., an out-of-breath officer announced that the D.C. Fire and EMS Department rescue squad wouldn't come down to the scaffolding where Mr. Philips lay on the sidewalk.

“They are bringing the patient up to the ambulance right now,” he shouted on the radio. “They are refusing to come down.”

Another officer said, “The group is carrying the individual up to the ambulance up the northwest drive.”

A dozen or so bystanders and police officers laid a section of bicycle rack flat on the sidewalk. After placing Mr. Philips on it, the group lifted the rack and carried it like a battlefield stretcher.

A woman straddled Mr. Philips and continued CPR as the group carried them about 100 yards up the sidewalk to rescue Squad 18. They turned Mr. Philips over to paramedics at 1:19 p.m.

According to the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Mr. Philips died from a stroke. His manner of death was listed by the pathologist, Dr. Fernando Diaz, as "natural," and the cause was hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Mr. Philips was a self-employed computer programmer and toy inventor. He founded Trumparoo LLC, which marketed a line of Trump-inspired toys that went on sale in 2020.

The "Trumparoo" was a kangaroo bedecked with a swirling Trumpian coiffure. He developed a Trumparoo social-media-style website where owners of the toys could communicate.

Mr. Philips got the idea after seeing actress Alyssa Milano post on social media about Trumpy Bear, a stuffed toy with Trump's signature hairstyle and red tie.

"I thought a kangaroo would be even better than a bear," Mr. Philips told the local Press Enterprise newspaper in September 2020. "Kangaroos are fighters."

He developed other characters in the Trumparoo line, including "Fightin' Trumparoo the Heavyweight," "Fightin' Trumparoo the Hippo," and "Count Trumpula."

What is “Uraniumgate”?

For over 50 years, Niger has been stripped of its natural resources namely Uranium. The neocolonialist approach to Africa increasingly resembles a heist rather than a fair partnership. The “Uraniumgate” scandal broke in February 2017 after documents pertaining to the $320 million sale of a significant amount of uranium were published in the Nigerien weekly Le Courrier, dating back to late 2011. French nuclear giant Areva first sold the stock to Energo Alyans in Russia, who then sold it to Optima Energy Offshore in Lebanon. A few days later, Optima sold the uranium to the Sopamin, a state-owned company (SOC) in Niger, which was under the supervision of the government of Niger

Later, Areva purchased this stock from Sopamin for a significantly higher price than what it had originally been sold for. Investigators from the French financial brigade were tasked with determining whether the financial arrangement would have made it feasible to conceal commissions or retro commissions after the French weekly newspaper Marianne reported on strange activities in the summer of 2015.

French news outlet L’Obs also reported that the French national financial prosecutor’s office had just opened an investigation into the case of “false trading” of uranium that would have made it possible for Areva to embezzle between 24 and 101 million dollars from the coffers of the former Areva group (now Orano) between the period of November 2011 and February 2012.

According to the weekly, the investigator in charge of the case who had been dubbed “UraniumGate” was already in charge of another investigation looking into Areva’s purchase of UraMin, a Canadian mining company active in Africa and owner of uranium reserves valued at 1.8 billion euros in 2007. Over the years, Areva has certainly managed to establish a name for itself, particularly for its unscrupulous business dealings and the nefarious individuals running this organisation.

The operation had turned into a fiasco: after the departure of its boss, Anne Lauvergeon, Areva had lost a significant portion of the company’s value, and at the end of 2011 had set aside a large provision of 1.5 billion euros. As a result, two judicial investigations were launched:

A nature drama unfolded in Shoham this week when several dog owners noticed a large black snake lying near the town’s local dog park. The snake was found motionless with an equally motionless porcupine stuck in its mouth.

Aviad Bar, a reptile ecologist with the Nature and Parks Authority, visited the scene and identified that it was a non-venomous snake of the black whip snake species that was trying to eat a common porcupine.

“From an analysis of the situation, it can be assumed that the snake tried to devour the porcupine and as soon as it decided to abandon its unusual meal, it realized the magnitude of its mistake,” Bar stated.

“The one-way direction of the porcupine's quills did not allow the snake to spit out the porcupine and in the end both the porcupine and the snake met their deaths in the tragic encounter."

Israel is home to three species of porcupines. A porcupine’s diet includes insects, small mammals, birds, and reptiles - including snakes.

People in Hawaii flee into ocean to escape wildfire destroying historic Maui tourist town

KAHULUI, Hawaii (AP) - A wildfire tore through the heart of Maui on Wednesday with alarming speed and ferocity, destroying homes and businesses in a historic tourist town and forcing panicked residents to jump into the ocean to flee the flames.

Fire was widespread in Lahaina Town, including on Front Street, a popular shopping and dining area, County of Maui spokesperson Mahina Martin said by phone early Wednesday. Traffic has been very heavy as people try to evacuate the area, and officials asked people who weren't in an evacuation area to shelter in place to avoid adding to the traffic, she said.

Photos posted by the county overnight showed a line of flames blazing across an intersection and leaping above buildings in the town center that dates to the 1700s and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

“Do NOT go to Lahaina Town,” the county tweeted hours before all roads in and out of West Maui's biggest community were closed to everyone except emergency personnel.

Adams administration eyes more than 3,000 NYC sites to house migrants — but won’t say if Central Park is included

Mayor Adams’ administration is looking at over 3,000 sites to place asylum seekers — and would not say whether the possible locations include Central Park — in the wake of the mayor’s comments that the migrant crisis is “coming to a neighborhood near you.”

There are nearly 108,000 people at 194 shelters across the Big Apple — pushing city officials to get creative when looking for places to erect new migrant housing.

Deputy Mayor Anne Williams-Isom skirted around whether migrant tents would be set up in Central Park, telling reporters on Wednesday that while there is a “constantly refreshing” list of possible sites, the situation is “at a breaking point.”

“Over 3,000 sites have been reviewed throughout the city to place people,” she said, without giving specifics on what sites they were looking at.

While officials have issued 800 “60-day notices,” to adult migrants — no migrants have reached the 60-day cap and been forced to reapply for shelter placement.

“We just started on July 26…last Monday. What we’re seeing is the ongoing struggle of a system that is bustling with 500 people a day – and so that is a struggle that we’re having right now,” Williams-Isom said.

The New York Times has warned that allowing the public to watch Donald Trump’s Jan 6 trial on television may lead to a shift in public opinion in the former President’s favor.

Instead, the paper insists Americans should get their information on the proceedings through “experts”, echoing former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo’s ludicrous claims after the release of the Hillary Clinton e-mails in 2016.

Author Nick Ackerman, a New York lawyer, claims the former president “could, through gestures or well-timed outbursts, try to use the broadcast to sway public opinion” – as if it would be wrong for a presidential challenger who believes his prosecution is politically motivated to make his case to the public – and undermine the trial’s supposed “solemnity”.

“Televising the Trump trials is no substitute for contemporaneous expert legal reporting and analysis to provide the public with real transparency,” he argues, suggesting that, rather than being able to watch the trial unfold directly and make their own judgments, the American people should have their information on it filtered through various partisan talking heads on networks like CNN and MSNBC – and perhaps New York Times guest essayists like himself, too.

Ackerman also cited his experience trying “mafia and organized crime cases” as a reason not to televise the trial, harping on themes such as “witness intimidation”.

A Utah man who posted threats to Joe Biden was shot and killed during an FBI raid Wednesday morning.

Craig Robertson, 75, was shot and killed early Wednesday morning, according to the FBI in Salt Lake City.

According to reports, Robertson was facing 3 counts after posting threats to Joe Biden: Interstate threats, threats against the president, and influencing, impeding and retaliating against federal law enforcement officers by threat.

Robertson allegedly threatened to kill Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and officials prosecuting Trump in a series of social media posts.

No further details of the raid were provided.

ABC News reported:

A Utah man was shot and killed during an FBI raid early Wednesday morning, the FBI confirmed to ABC News. The raid was in connection with an investigation into alleged threats against President Joe Biden and others, according to two officials briefed on the case.

One of the officials told ABC News that the investigation began in April and the U.S. Secret Service was notified by the FBI in June. In addition to threatening posts, the official said, the man under investigation suggested online he was making plans to take physical action. The threats had been deemed “credible,” the official said.

The FBI in Salt Lake City said the shooting occurred around 6:15 am. local time while special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence in Provo.

“The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously,” the FBI said in a statement. “In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”

On Tuesday, The Gateway Pundit broke a BLOCKBUSTER REPORT on 2020 voter fraud in Michigan.

The investigation had been buried by politicians, government investigators and the press.

On October 8, 2020, only one month before the 2020 general election, Muskegon, MI City Clerk Ann Meisch noticed a black female, whose name was later redacted from the police report, dropping off between 8,000-10,000 completed voter registration applications at the city clerk’s office. Clerk Meisch immediately noticed that the stacks of registrations included the same handwriting, non-existent addresses, and incorrect phone numbers.

The Muskegon Police Department was contacted and asked to investigate. On 10/21/20 First Lieutenant Mike Anderson was contacted by Tom Fabus, Chief of Investigations for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s Office. According to the MI State Police report, Fabus asked for Michigan State Police assistance with a joint investigation of alleged voter fraud being conducted by the Muskegon Police Department and the AG.

An investigative task force was formed, and an investigation was initiated.

During their investigation, the state police discovered the women worked for GBI Strategies. This was included in their police report. The group had temporary offices in numerous Michigan locations. The police also identified Gary Bell as the head of the organization.

When the police inspected the GBI Strategies office near Muskegon they found semiautomatic guns, silencers/suppressors, burner phones, a bag of pre-paid cash cards, and incomplete registrations, in an office space that was styled as an eyeglasses store that had gone defunct.

There were never any arrests. And the investigation was turned over to the FBI where it went to die, just like all of the other Democrat voter fraud investigations. Back in November 2020 Bill Barr appointed a notorious DOJ attorney who covered up voter fraud crimes.

There has always been unanswered statistical irregularities about absentee ballots from the 2020 election. These irregularities suggest massive, systemic, voter fraud among absentee ballots. Viewing the percentage of the vote each candidate won from absentee voters precinct by precinct, one can see a very suspicious correlation between the candidates in 2020 that does not exist in 2016. This suggests there was major electronic manipulation of votes combined with the physical ballots placed to back up those fraudulent votes.

There is no argument that Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a far-left Democrat, sent out absentee ballot requests without a legal request on file to every voter. There is no argument that Benson then used illegal interpretations of the law to presume that all voter signatures were a ‘match’ between the signatures on file and the ones on the ballots, even when they didn’t match.

Using COVID as the pretext, Democrats set the stage for scores of absentee ballots that would never receive scrutiny as to whether they were valid or not.

And even if some illegal ballots were caught by challengers or honest poll workers, most challenged ballots in left-wing jurisdictions were routinely ignored. 2020 Voter Fraud witnesses repeatedly noted that the ballot challenging process was ignored and suppressed.

Michigan State Senator Ruth Johnson, who is herself a former Secretary of State, told the Gateway Pundit: “My estimate is over 800,000 ballot applications were sent to non-qualified voters in Michigan, including many individuals who moved or died, and even some individuals who were underage or non-citizens. Many were sent to people who had moved out of state.”

This glut of insecure and accessible ballots, which could even be sent to third-party addresses or sent to addresses abroad, was ripe for fraud.

And the one company that was active in Michigan and who, according to the police report from the Muskegon Police, engaged in such fraud was GBI Strategies.

GBI Strategies LLC is a left-wing campaign consulting company run by Gary Bell with a mailing address in Alexandria, Virginia. A quick online search also shows that GBI Strategies, LLC is located in Tennessee. Gary Bell has a limited presence online. He keeps a low profile despite his impressive resume.

According to Compmo Group Gary Bell manages over 70 “organizing operations” in 20 states and lends logistical and consulting support to another 7 states....

A San Francisco man is finally facing jail time after his third arrest for threatening Bay Area synagogues, and he’s previously served time for stalking children at a Pac Heights elementary school.

SF DA Brooke Jenkins announced a conviction Monday afternoon of 39-year-old Anatoly Smolkin, for threatening to blow up a synagogue in the Inner Richmond, according to KPIX. As a release from the DA’s office explains, “On April 7, 2022, at about 12:05 PM, Mr. Smolkin walked to the front entrance of Temple Emanu-El and threatened to kill everyone there and blow up the synagogue.”

But Smolkin, who suffers from mental illness, has threatened two other Bay Area synagogues in the past, and has previously served prison time for 47 counts of stalking in a bizarre case involving a Pacific Heights elementary school.

"Criminal threats to blow up houses of worship that have been historically targeted must be taken seriously and aggressively prosecuted," Jenkins’s office said in the release. "Violent threats often come before violence, and it is imperative that we take steps to proactively protect the public."

Oh, does Smolkin have a history, and he was previously an attorney but he’s been long disbarred. Berkeleyside reported in 2021 that he was arrested for interrupting a Berkeley synagogue service and shouting that the Jewish people there were “going to burn in hell” and “going to pay for what you did to me.” A mere two months later, the Jewish News of Northern California notes he threatened families and children at SF’s Congregation Beth Sholom, and sent threatening emails to staff.

And he’s even served prison time before for a bizarre pattern of stalking in 2013, which netted 30 felony counts and 17 misdemeanors. In that series of incidents, Smolkin stalked employees at his former workplace, threatened to kill a police officer, and stalked children at the Town School for Boys (which was his own elementary school) in Pacific Heights.

And so it will be prison again for Smolkin when he is sentenced on August 28. He faces up to six years.

Dirty Jack Smith Got Secret Search Warrant For Trump’s Twitter Account

Special Counsel Jack Smith obtained a secret search warrant for Trump’s Twitter account @RealDonaldTrump in July according to newly unsealed court filings.

X, formerly known as Twitter, was fined $350,000 because it delayed producing the subpoenaed records.

The search warrant was so secret that Trump didn’t even know Jack Smith issued a subpoena for the records.

Biden’s corrupt Justice Department obtained a nondisclosure order that prohibited X from informing Trump about Jack Smith’s subpoena.

Over the course of the months-long legal battle, X argued that the nondisclosure order violated the First Amendment and Stored Communications Act.

The Justice Department argued Trump would put the so-called ongoing investigation in jeopardy.

According to CNN, the DC Circuit Court Appeals said the court found that there were “reasonable grounds to believe” that Trump would ‘jeopardize the ongoing investigation’ if he knew about the search warrant.

“The district court, according to the DC Circuit’s opinion, “found that there were ‘reasonable grounds to believe’ that disclosing the warrant to former President Trump ‘would seriously jeopardize the ongoing investigation’ by giving him “an opportunity to destroy evidence, change patterns of behavior, [or] notify confederates.”” CNN reported.

The DOJ finally amended the nondisclosure order and allowed X to “notify the former President of the existence and contents of the warrant,” CNN reported.

Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein, a current member of the Senate, was hospitalized on Tuesday following a fall at her residence in San Francisco, sources revealed to TMZ.

Details surrounding the severity of her injuries remain unclear; however, it has been confirmed that she was admitted to a local hospital for treatment. According to TMZ, she was able to return to her home later that night.

Feinstein’s office has not yet released an official statement regarding her recent fall. At 90 years old, the California Senator has faced several health challenges over the past year, adding to concerns surrounding this recent incident.

This isn’t the first time health concerns have circled around Feinstein. Earlier this year, Feinstein took a nearly three-month hiatus from the Senate to address and recover from a series of medical conditions, including shingles (supposedly), facial paralysis, memory loss, vision and balance impairments and swelling of the brain.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Senator Dianne Feinstein ceded power of attorney to her daughter, Kathleen Feinstein, 66. Feinstein’s daughter was handed power of attorney to deal with legal battles over Richard Blum’s estate.

Dianne Feinstein’s husband Richard Blum recently passed away so Kathleen Feinstein is helping her mother deal with a dispute over a piece of property and Blum’s life insurance. Last week Feinstein appeared confused as she tried to give a speech in the middle of a Senate vote.

Senate Appropriations Chairwoman Patty Murray repeatedly asked Feinstein to “just say aye.” Instead of voting ‘aye,’ Feinstein began to give a speech.

“I would like to support a yes vote on this, it provides $823 billion. That’s an increase of $26 billion for the Department of Defense, and it funds priorities–” Feinstein said as an aide rushed over to her to stop her from giving a long-winded speech. “Just say aye,” the chairwoman said.

A confused Feinstein said, “Ok–just–aye!”

Feinstein handed power of attorney over to her own daughter yet she still serves in the Senate and makes decisions that impact hundreds of millions of Americans!

This is absolutely ridiculous. (It’s not just ridiculous it’s sadistic what they are doing to her. This is Elderly Abuse 10x the scale to put someone in jail.)
