Software VP Fired For Using 'Assigned By God' As Preferred Pronoun Sues Employer

A software engineer fired for putting “Assigned By God” as the preferred pronoun on his employee profile has filed a civil rights lawsuit against his company.

Chard Scharf was fired by the software company Bitwarden, an online storage service for sensitive information. Scharf served as Vice President of Software Engineering at the Jacksonville, Florida, location.

The lawsuit alleges that Bitwarden violated Scharf’s Title VII rights against religious discrimination by allowing other employees to post preferred pronouns on their employee profiles, but prohibiting Scharf from using his preferred pronoun based on his religious beliefs.

“Had Chad set aside his religious beliefs and acquiesced to Bitwarden’s promotion of gender ideology, he would not have been fired,” Scharf’s attorney Jennifer Vasquez told The Epoch Times, “which means his religious beliefs were the cause of his termination.” Vasquez is with the Florida law firm Campbell, Trohn, Tamayo & Aranda.

Neither Bitwarden nor its attorney B. Tyler White of Jackson & Lewis, responded to multiple inquiries from The Epoch Times about Scharf’s lawsuit. The company has not yet filed a response to the federal complaint.

“Bitwarden violated Title VII when it placed Mr. Scharf into a disfavored class by promoting its gender ideology, when it failed to approve his reasonable request for accommodation, and when it terminated his employment,” the lawsuit states.

According to the lawsuit, Scharf was repeatedly pressured to add his preferred pronouns to his Slack employee profile under his company’s “inclusivity initiative.” Slack is a platform utilized for intra company communication.

When Scharf added “Assigned By God” to his employee profile page, he was told to remove it, his complaint alleges.

Scharf, a Catholic, told his company he would not participate in its request to choose preferred pronouns because it was part of a gender ideology that went against his religious beliefs.

He told Bitwarden executives that it was his belief that there are only two sexes and “that gender cannot be changed, chosen, or manipulated,” and that it was the company discriminating against him for failing to accommodate his beliefs.

Vasquez said correspondence shows that the company pushed the completion of the gender field on his employee profile and not Scharf.

According to the lawsuit, two employees in the company’s human resources department complained that they felt harassed by Scharf’s religious statements.

Scharf was also reprimanded for not using the preferred pronouns in notes based on an interview he conducted of a job application whose preferred pronouns were different from their biological gender. In the lawsuit, Scharf claims he avoided using any pronouns during the interview and that he only used the applicant’s biological pronouns in internal notes.

Instagram has emerged as the most important platform for buyers and sellers of underage sex content, according to investigations from The Wall Street Journal, Stanford Internet Observatory, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) Rescue Lab.

Because the child sexual abuse material (CSAM) itself is not hosted on Instagram, platform-owner Meta has a harder time detecting and removing these users. Researchers found that even when Meta's trust and safety team does ban users, their efforts are "directly undercut" by Instagram's recommendation system—which allows the networks to quickly reassemble under "backup" accounts that are usually listed in the bios of original accounts for just that purpose of surviving bans.

Yes, it’s true, according to the information contained in the Jack Smith indictment of President Donald John Trump, The Conservative Treehouse likely holds similar “classified documents” as outlined in the case by the special prosecutor.

Once you understand how, you then understand one of the most overlooked nonsensical aspects to the insufferable DOJ and FBI case that has been pushed in the media for the past year.

It is entirely possible for a person, any person, especially a person who follows the news, to possess documents containing “classified markings.” The indictment accuses President Trump of withholding documents containing “classified markings,” a very specifically deployed obtuse wording intended to create the implication of something nefarious where nothing nefarious exists.

There is a big difference between a classified document and a document containing classified markings. As an example, anyone who has looked at the Carter Page FISA application, made public in July 2018, has reviewed a document containing “classified markings.” When a document is declassified, they do not remove the markings.

You might think this is a one-off use of the “documents with classification markings” lingo, but it’s not. This language is the underpinning of the entire DOJ/FBI framework that predicated the raid on Mar-a-Lago. Specifically, neither NARA nor the DOJ-NSD requested President Trump or his team to return Classified Documents. The DOJ demanded the return of any documents that contained “classified markings.” [SEE BELOW]

Because the verbiage is so intentionally obtuse (ie. Lawfare), a fulsome production in compliance with this DOJ demand would include any newspaper or magazine articles that had a picture of the Carter Page FISA application, or any printed online article that might contain the same or similar elements. There is a big difference between asking for a classified document return, and asking for a return of documents that contain “classified markings.” [Example from CTH, below left]As a result, it is entirely possible, I would say almost certain, that President Trump -and his legal team- returned every document that contained classified information but may have omitted documents that retained “classified markings”. There’s the spirit of compliance, and the letter of absolute compliance when contrast against a very granular interpretation of the request.

It is obvious from the demand, the DOJ/FBI were casting a wide net on the compliance side, knowing that amid hundreds-of-thousands of presidential documents and records, there would be obscure documents with classified markings that had nothing to do with national security. Thus, the “classified markings” establishes a Lawfare compliance tactic.

It will be interesting to see how this nonsense progresses. It becomes easier to call it nonsense, when you simply accept the approach being used. If the DOJ-NSD, FBI, Special Counsel or NARA were genuinely interested in ‘national security issues’, they would not be playing obtuse word games in order to structure court filings simply for media narrative engineering and propaganda purposes.

Again, all of these insufferable pretending elements simply create more avenues for smart legal minds to highlight to the court. The judges can see through this nonsense, and their action or lack thereof becomes part of showcasing their own agenda. Fortunately Judge Cannon has a very solid background on the Mar-a-Lago documents case. She wouldn’t need to have this stuff pointed out to her; she has already experienced it.

In the interim, for your own conversational points with friends and family, simply draw their attention to the difference between Classified Documents and documents containing “classified markings,” eventually everyone except the rabid orange-man-badmoonbats will figure out the games being played.

Trump Savagely Destroys Biden In First Appearance Since Indictment News

Former President Trump savagely criticizes the Biden Administration for unfairly attacking him regarding classified documents being found in his possession. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden was found guilty of the same thing.

“They took one charge, and they made it 36 different times. And we have a thug who is in charge. This is a political hit job; Republicans are treated far differently at the Justice Department than Democrats," Trump said during his speech at the Georgia Republican state convention.

Trump accused Democrats of a “political hit job” as the 2024 Republican front-runner appears to garner mass support from American voters.

“We now have two standards of justice in this country,” Trump continued, accusing the Left of a double standard. “The Democrat communists want to jail their opponents while they protect the murderers who prowl our cities day and night and other brazen criminals.”

The 45th President called the second indictment against him a “joke,” suggesting the Democrat’s political witch hunt would backfire.

“They launched one hoax and witch hunt after another to try and stop our movement,” Trump said. “As far as the joke of an indictment, it's a horrible thing. Such a horrible thing for this country. I mean, the only good thing about it is it's driven my poll numbers way up. Can you believe it? It's driven up, way up, and somebody said the fundraising is through the roof.”

Trump’s comments mark his first public appearance since the 37-count federal indictment was unsealed on Friday. The former President has denied any wrongdoing and claims he had declassified the materials before taking them from the White House.

“All of my documents fell under what is known as the Presidential Records Act, which is not at all a criminal act,” Trump said. “And this fake indictment, they don't even once mention the Presidential Records Act, which is really the ruling — which is the case it falls under because they want something called the Espionage Act, which sounds terrible.”

Trump hit back at the Biden Administration’s weaponized Department of Justice, saying that his indictment will go down in history as one of the most horrific abuses of power.

“This vicious persecution is a travesty of justice,” Trump said, adding that the upcoming presidential election is no longer between Republicans and Democrats but between the “deep state" and democracy.

“Either we have a deep state, or we have a democracy. We're going to have one or the other. And we're right at the tipping point," he said. “And either they win, or we win. It's very simple. They win, or we win.”

The 129 thing has had me perplexed for months...years. But the 1850 thing may have cleared it all up.

The Compromise of 1850 was a package of bills designed to avoid a brewing civil war by brokering some deals involving big time issues of the day. In fact it was a pivot moment in our country's history and involved states and statehood, the Mexican border, slavery in DC and slave law nationwide.

The push to replace real beef with other forms of protein has been ramping up in recent weeks. The powers-that-be want us to stop eating steaks and instead eat cricket burgers or lab-grown meat replacements as our protein. Authorities claimed the tourist attraction has little “archaeological value”

Dozens of ancient standing stones in southwest France have been bulldozed to make room for yet another retail outlet of a nationwide chain selling DIY products, triggering uproar among locals.

The historic Montauban site “has been destroyed,” with at least 39 megalithic stones, some estimated to be around 7,000 years old, lost, local archaeologist Christian Obeltz told media this week.

The French commune of Carnac is famous for thousands of so-called menhirs – standing stoneserected by neolithic people for purposes that remain a mystery. However, unlike the area’s main tourist attractions of Menec, Kermario and Kerlescan, which are on the UNESCO list of world heritage sites – the set of stones in Montauban, just 1.5 kilometers away, has little historic value, according to local officials.

“Given the uncertain and in any case non-major character of the remains, as revealed by checks, damage to a site of archaeological value has not been established,” the Regional Office of Cultural Affairs for Brittany told AFP news agency in a statement.

The local mayor has insisted that he “followed the law,” and that the construction permit was granted last August only after archaeologists had conducted the required studies.

However,Obeltz claimed there were no “archaeological excavations in order to know if the stones were menhirs or not.” He also accused local authorities of rushing to greenlight the development before activists had finished applying for UNESCO protection.

The popularFrench retail chain Mr Bricolage, which offers home improvement goods, is currently building a new store at the site. Its spokesperson said the company “sincerely regrets” the incident, but reiterated that authorities granted them full authorization to proceed.

The two 'hospital' companies (money-making companies is what they are these days) in question are basically attempting to coerce a child into a severely contraindicated medical treatment that is dangerous for her, especially due to her cancer background, and are withholding lifesaving care to this child. This latest discovery –THE GREG MEMO– showsafter taking office President Obama penned an immediate executive order to essentially re-write the Freedom of Information Act– and grant the White House full review and edit authority of all records.

DC – It’s Sunshine Week, so perhaps some enterprising White House reporter will ask press secretary Jay Carney why President Obama rewrote the Freedom of Information Act without telling the rest of America.

The rewrite came in an April 15, 2009, memo from then-White House Counsel Greg Craig instructing the executive branch to let White House officials review any documents sought by FOIA requestors that involved “White House equities.”

That phrase is nowhere to be found in the FOIA, yet the Obama White House effectively amended the law tocreate a new exception to justify keeping public documents locked away from the public.

A serious breach – The Greg memo is described in detail in a new study made public today by Cause of Action, a Washington-based nonprofit watchdog group that monitors government transparency and accountability.

How serious an attack on the public’s right to know is the Obama administration’s invention of the “White House equities” exception?

“FOIA is designed to inform the public on government behavior; White House equities allow the government to withhold information from the media, and therefore the public, by having media requests forwarded for review.This not only politicizes federal agencies, it impairs fundamental First Amendment liberties,” Cause of Action explains in its report.

Equities are everything – The equities exception is breathtaking in its breadth. As the Greg memo put it, any document request is covered, including “congressional committee requests, GAO requests, judicial subpoenas and FOIA requests.”

And it doesn’t matter what format the documents happen to be in because, according to Greg, the equities exception “applies to all documents and records, whether in oral, paper, or electronic form, that relate to communications to and from the White House, including preparations for such communications.” (read more)

MANILA: Thousands of people living near a Philippine volcano have taken shelter in evacuation centres as officials warned on Sunday (Jun 11) of health risks from ash and toxic gases spewing from the rumbling crater.

Seismology researchers said they had recorded at least one volcanic earthquake in the past 24 hours and red-hot rocks were falling from Mount Mayon in the central province of Albay.

More than 12,800 people have been moved to evacuation centres, the Philippine civil defence office said, most from farming villages at or near the foot of the volcano.

"There is a concomitant health risk while being close to the eruption because of inhaling sulphur dioxide gas or the particulate matter of ashfalls," Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa told a press briefing on Sunday.

Mount Mayon, about 330km southeast of the capital Manila, is considered one of the most volatile of the country's 24 active volcanoes.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said rocks were falling from a disintegrating lava dome being pushed out of the crater by molten material below the earth.

The rocks were raining down on areas up to two kilometres away and sulphur dioxide emissions had tripled on Saturday, state volcanologists said.

A five-step alert system for the volcano was raised from two to three on Thursday, with authorities warning of possible respiratory illnesses from inhaling fumes.

"With Albay in a state of calamity due to Mayon's activity, we remind people to follow the recommendations and evacuation instructions of your local governments," Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos said Saturday.

Earthquakes and volcanic activity are common in the Philippines due to its position on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where tectonic plates collide.

Five years ago, Mayon displaced tens of thousands of people after spewing millions of tonnes of ash, rocks and lava.

The country's most powerful eruption in recent decades was Mount Pinatubo in 1991 that killed more than 800 people.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – A tanker fire underneath an Interstate 95 overpass in Philadelphia has caused part of the highway to collapse.

Video from Chopper 6 showed multiple northbound lanes of the highway were reduced to rubble on Sunday morning.

The southbound lanes are also compromised, officials said.

The fire broke out just before 6:30 a.m. on the off-ramp to Cottman Avenue, right underneath the I-95 overpass.

All lanes of the highway are shut down between the Woodhaven and Aramingo exits.

Crews are working to get the fire under control. There has been no word on any injuries or if any other vehicles were involved.

It's not yet known what was inside the tanker truck, or why it caught fire.

Recently, after much anticipation, The White House released a document setting out its comprehensive strategy to combat the scourge of antisemitism which has become impossible to ignore.

Much was said and written about the document; many were happy with it, others not. Everyone wishes something in particular had been included, deleted, amplified or adjusted. But I doubt there has ever been anything this significant or comprehensive in the fight against antisemitism in writing from an administration before.

And we do need something significant, even if the document fails to please everyone. Personally, I would welcome some changes, but given the range of constituencies involved, I believe this is an excellent start and a strong commitment. Time will tell, and I am optimistic about the outcome.

Omidyar, a French-born, Iranian-American billionaire founder of eBay, provided money to the Center for Internet Security (CIS) nonprofit to create its Misinformation Reporting Portal (MiRP), according to investigative reporter Lee Fang.

This portal was used by what Fang describes as a “coalition of liberal-leaning research groups,” including the Democratic National Committee – and excluding the Republican National Committee.

It operated under the supervision of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) which unlike the CIS itself, is a U.S. government agency answerable to the Department of Homeland Security.

Content flagged through its portal, “predominantly” posted by conservatives, was forwarded to moderation teams at Twitter and Facebook to be censored, at a 61 percent success rate.

Fang, who collaborated with journalist Matt Taibbi on the “Twitter Files,” stressed that his documentation confirms the “CIS and CISA worked together” to flag content, describing the arrangement as a “public-private partnership”.

The Never Trump Billionaire.

While accurately described as a major funder of organizations backing Biden’s bid for the presidency by Fang, Pierre Omidyar has also put money into well-known “RINO” (Republican In Name Only) groups.

As reported by The National Pulse in 2022, he put substantial sums into the Defending Democracy Together initiative founded by Never Trump commentator Bill Kristol.

Omidyar was also connected to the so-called Real Facebook Oversight Board affiliated with Russia Hoax ringmaster Christopher Steele, funding it via his George Soros-partnered Luminate foundation.

The news is certain to raise suspicions over far left money and it’s deployment in the upcoming 2024 election.

The DOJ cannot prevent the defendant, Trump, from disclosing or causing the disclosure of classified information without risk that the indictment could be dismissed. Southern Poverty Law Center Director Who Added Conservative Parent Organizations to “Hate Group Map” Met With Biden Counterterrorism Officials

Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) director Susan Corke recently added conservative parent organizations to the SPLC “hate map.” White House visitor logs reveal Corke met with senior Biden officials earlier this year.

Included alongside neo-Nazis and the KKK as “extremist hate groups” are Moms for Liberty, Parents Defending Education and other parent organizations.

The Washington Free Beacon obtained White House visitor logs showing Corke visited the White House on January 6, 2023, and met with National Security Council counterterrorism director John Picarelli. Researchers from American University, who work with SPLC, were also present.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

The SPLC, which itself has faced accusations that it harbors a “systemic culture of racism,” classified the pro-parent organizations as “anti-government groups.” Corke asserted that the parents’ groups serve as the “new battlefront vs inclusivity in schools” and “are rooted in age-old white supremacy.”

While it is unclear what Corke discussed in the White House visit, the meeting was held amid growing pressure on the Biden administration to track parents upset by schools’ coronavirus policies and left-wing classroom curricula. Moms for Liberty and Parents Defending Education have emerged as the leading grassroots groups in the movement against mask mandates at schools and curricula that promote critical race theory and transgender issues.

SPLC’s “Year in Hate and Extremism” report claims:

“Schools, especially, have been on the receiving end of ramped-up and coordinated hard-right attacks, frequently through the guise of ‘parents’ rights’ groups.”

“These groups were, in part, spurred by the right-wing backlash to COVID-19 public safety measures in schools. But they have grown into an anti-student inclusion movement that targets any inclusive curriculum that contains discussions of race, discrimination and LGBTQ identities.”

“At the forefront of this mobilization is Moms for Liberty, a Florida-based group with vast connections to the GOP that this year the SPLC designated as an extremist group. They can be spotted at school board meetings across the country wearing shirts and carrying signs that declare, ‘We do NOT CO-PARENT with the GOVERNMENT.’”

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on documents from FBI whistleblowers revealing the FBI targeted parents who protested CRT and Covid rules, including a mom from “Moms for Liberty.”

The coordination between the Biden Administration and organizations targeting parents is nothing new. In 2021, the National School Boards Association sent a letter to Biden begging him to use federal law enforcement agencies against parents and investigate them for “domestic terrorism and hate crime threats.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland admitted his targeting of parents and classifying parent’s as “domestic terrorists” was not based on facts but on the NSBA letter.

In response to recent reports circulating on social media, a non-profit organization has issued a statement clarifying that actor/director Mel Gibson is not a producer on their upcoming documentary about child sex trafficking.

Tim Ballard of Operation Underground Railroad, a non-profit that "works with law enforcement around the world to extract children from slavery," says that while Gibson is a "personal hero" of his, the actor is not a producer on the four-part documentary series.

"I stand by every word I said in the video circulating around social media. Mel is a personal hero of mine and called me back in 2022 with valuable intelligence regarding children who were rumored to be vulnerable to human traffickers in Ukraine. Using that intelligence, we went to Ukraine, where Operation Underground Railroad, Aerial Recovery Group, and The Nazarene Fund were successful in beginning the process of dismantling a dangerous international pedophile ring," said Ballard in a statement.

He continued, "Mel deserves all the credit for taking the initiative to further the critical work that we do. I am personally grateful for his support as we worked on this documentary, however, reports [that] this four-part series is actually being produced by Mr. Gibson are not accurate. It's being produced by Nick Nanton of DNA Films and includes several executive producers such as Kyle Cease, Tony and Sage Robbins, and other wonderful and talented people."

Gibson's publicist, Alan Nierob, told the Associated Press that his client "is not making any documentary," nor did he "finance any documentary."
