Anyone with a brain can sense what he said is true. We are already there. The world knows about JFK, war, 9-11, and 2020 was a coup. More awake than the people living here. The world sees how corrupt DC has become. The more pressure put on DC criminals the closer we get to WWIII.
Kind of like the FED trying to fight inflation by raising interest rates. The more they do it the closer to collapse.
No way out but the truth now.

>The case rests on the premise that the money transfer may constitute an illegal campaign contribution
This would be the only case in history where campaign contributions (money) went from a political candidate to another entity thereby making the political candidate poorer. This is a witch hunt used as a form of defamation of character in order to interfere with our election for political purposes.

NASA Awards Advance 3D Printing, Quantum Tech for Climate Research
Mar 16, 2023
New technology is a key to helping NASA advance its long-term exploration goals for the benefit of all. To support its effort, the agency announced Thursday it will create two new institutes to develop technology in critical areas for engineering and climate research.
Two new Space Technology Research Institutes (STRIs) will leverage teams led by U.S. universities to create multidisciplinary research and technology development programs critical to NASA's future. By bringing together science, engineering, and other disciplines from universities, industry, and non-profits, the institutes aim to impact future aerospace capabilities through investments in early-stage technology.
One of the research institutes will focus on quantum sensing technology in support of climate research. The other will work to improve understanding and help enable rapid certification of metal parts created using advanced manufacturing techniques.
"We're thrilled to draw on the expertise of these multi-university teams to create technology for some of our most pressing needs," said Jim Reuter, associate administrator for the agency’s Space Technology Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington. "Their work will enable next-generation science for studying our home planet and broaden the use of 3D-printed metal parts for spaceflight with state-of-the-art modeling."
Each institute will receive up to $15 million over five years.
Quantum Pathways Institute
The University of Texas at Austin will lead the Quantum Pathways Institute, focused on advancing quantum sensing technology for next-generation Earth science applications. Such technology would enable new understanding of our planet and the effects of climate change.
Quantum sensors use quantum physics principles to potentially collect more precise data and enable unprecedented science measurements. These sensors could be particularly useful for satellites in orbit around Earth to collect mass change data – a type of measurement that can tell scientists about how ice, oceans, and land water are moving and changing. Though the basic physics and technology for quantum sensors have been proven in concept, work is required to develop quantum sensors at the precisions necessary for next-generation science needs during spaceflight missions.

"Quantum sensing methods have shown a great deal of promise in computing, communications, and now for Earth science remote sensing applications," said Dr. Srinivas Bettadpur, principal investigator for the institute and professor of aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics at the University of Texas at Austin. "Our intent is to advance this technology and get it ready for space as soon as we can."
The institute will work to further advance the physics underlying quantum sensors, design how these sensors could be built for space missions and understand how mission design and systems engineering would need to adapt to accommodate this new technology.
Partners on the institute include University of Colorado Boulder; University of California, Santa Barbara; California Institute of Technology; and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Institute for Model-Based Qualification & Certification of Additive Manufacturing (IMQCAM)
Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh will lead Institute for Model-based Qualification & Certification of Additive Manufacturing (IMQCAM) aiming to improve computer models of 3D-printed – also called additively manufactured – metal parts and expand their utility in spaceflight applications. The institute will be co-led by Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Metal parts 3D-printed are made from powdered metals, which are melted in specific ways and shaped into useful parts. Such parts could be useful for things like rocket engines – giving more flexibility to create new parts when designs change – or as part of a human outpost on the Moon, where bringing pre-fabricated parts would be expensive and limiting. However, efficient certification and use of such parts requires high-accuracy predictions of their characteristics.
"The internal structure of this type of part is much different than what's produced by any other method," said Tony Rollett, principal investigator for the institute and US Steel professor of metallurgical engineering and materials science at Carnegie Mellon University. "The institute will focus on creating the models NASA and others in industry would need to use these parts on a daily basis."
Detailed computer models, known as digital twins, will allow engineers to understand the parts' capabilities and limitations – such as how much stress the parts can take before breaking. Such models will provide the predictability of part properties based on their processing that is key for certifying the parts for use. The institute will develop digital twins for 3D-printed parts made from spaceflight materials that are commonly used for 3D printing, as well as evaluating and modeling new materials.
Somnath Ghosh, the Michael G. Callas professor in civil and systems engineering at Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering, will serve as the co-principal investigator and will co-direct the institute, along with Rollett. Additional partners on the institute include Vanderbilt University, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Virginia, Case Western Reserve University, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Southwest Research Institute, and Pratt & Whitney.

FBI Raids Home of Former Gov. Larry Hogan’s Chief of Staff Roy McGrath Amid Manhunt
The FBI raided the home of former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s chief of staff Roy McGrath.
As previously reported, U.S. District Court Judge Deborah Boardman issued an arrest warrant for Roy McGrath after he failed to appear for his federal fraud trial.
Roy McGrath is facing an 8-count federal indictment.
“Charges include wire fraud, including securing a $233,648 severance payment equal to one year of salary as the head of Maryland Environmental Service. He also faces fraud and embezzlement charges connected to roughly $170,000 in expenses. McGrath has pleaded not guilty.” – Fox News reported.
The FBI raided McGrath’s home two days after he failed to appear in court.
McGrath’s wife was home at the time of the raid.
Fox News reported:
The FBI has raided the Florida home of Roy McGrath, just two days after the former chief of staff to two-term Maryland GOP Gov. Larry Hogan failed to appear in Baltimore on Monday for the start of his criminal trial.
Joseph Murtha, McGrath’s attorney, confirmed the search in a phone interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday afternoon, saying agents were likely looking for anything to indicate McGrath’s current whereabouts. An FBI spokesperson told the outlet that agents “conducted court authorized activity at that residence” but declined to elaborate.
Murtha said he had no reason to believe his client would skip out on court. He said they had a substantive conversation about the case Sunday evening. McGrath was supposed to board a plane later that night, his attorney said.
“I haven’t a clue. I didn’t see this coming,” he said. “This behavior is so out of the ordinary for him. Obviously his personal safety is a concern.”

US nuclear plant admits to radioactive leak
A Minnesota facility disclosed tritium water spill after applying for license extension
(Are you fucking kidding me?)
Authorities in the northern US state of Minnesota revealed on Thursday that a nuclear power plant near Minneapolis had suffered aradioactive water spill amounting to over 1.5 million liters. Xcel Energy, which owns the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, is working to clean up the spill and insists there is no danger to the general public.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) said that about 400,000 gallons of tritiated waterleaked from a broken pipeat the facility. The leak was first discovered onNovember 22, and its source was found onDecember 19and patched “soon after.”(wtf, how soon)
Authorities decided to keep the public in the dark about the incident, while Xcel Energy and the state were “actively managing” the situation to prevent the underground plume of irradiated water from spreading to the nearbyMississippi River, MPCA assistant commissioner Kirk Koudelka told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
“Now that we have all the information about where the leak occurred, how much was released into groundwater, and that contaminated groundwater had moved beyond the original location, we are sharing this information,” Minnesota Pollution Control Agency spokesman Michael Rafferty said on Thursday.
“This does not present a public health or drinking water issue,” said Christopher Clark, Xcel's president for Minnesota. He admitted the tritiated water is “well above” the 20,000 picocuries standard mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), being “in the millions” directly below the plant.
The city of Monticello issued a statement saying its drinking water supply was not affected by the leak, which happened outside the area from which they draw groundwater for municipal wells.
The contaminated water has not been detected beyond the plant’s perimeter, Xcel told KMSP-TV. An estimated 25% of the water has been recovered and pumped into a treatment system on site. The company is considering building storage tanks or a retention pond for the project, which could take a year or more.
Viktoria Mitlyng, a spokeswoman for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), said the leak was well below the NRC safety threshold and that the plan was not violating regulations. Tritium leaks “are not uncommon for nuclear plants,” she added.
The Monticello facility had a leak of about 2,000 gallons (7,500 liters) in 1981, with some of the water reaching the river, but state health officials said it posed no danger to wildlife or public health.
In January, Xcel sent an application to the NRC to extend Monticello’s license for another 20 years beyond 2030, when its current permit is set to expire. The company said the extension was “critical” to meet the new Minnesota law, which mandates 100% carbon-free electricity by 2040.
Tritium is a “mildly” radioactive isotope of hydrogen, often found in water used to cool nuclear reactors. The only way it can affect people is if they breathe it in or drink tritiated water, said Daniel Huff, an assistant commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Health, adding that the public’s exposure from a nuclear power plant “should be zero.”

West warns Ukraine not to blow ‘last ditch effort’ – NYT
The US and UK are trying to scrounge up ammunition for a “spring offensive,” officials say
(That title means they blew many other opportunities, and the West is finished, y announcing they are fuck ups)
A New York Times story on Thursday suggested that the US and its allies are running out of ammunition they can supply to Ukraine, while Kiev is using up the troops and shells that will be needed for a planned spring offensive to fight for Artyomovsk instead.
Called Bakhmut by the Kiev authorities, Artyomovsk is now almost entirely surrounded by Russian forces. Ukrainian troops attempting to hold the town are running out of ammunition, the Times reported, with one brigade commander complaining of a “catastrophic shortage” of artillery shells.
Some US and EU officials now worry that Ukraine is using up “thousands” of shells a day in the battle for Artyomovsk, at a pace that is “unsustainable” and “could jeopardize a planned springtime campaign” that Kiev’s western sponsors “hope will prove decisive,”according to the Times.
The Pentagon has reportedly even “raised concerns” with Kiev about this, warning Ukraine about “wasting ammunition.”
The US and its allies “did not stockpile weaponry in anticipation of supplying an artillery war,” the outlet noted. A “secret British task force” is trying to track down and buy Soviet-caliber ammunition from around the world. The US and NATO have managed to put together some shells, but they are supposed to be used in the upcoming offensive.
One Pentagon official described the push as a “last-ditch effort,” because theWest does not have enough ammunitionto keep up with Ukrainian expenditures.
NATO’s own stocks are “critically low” and it will take “many months” for efforts to boost production to have an effect, again according to the Times. Without artillery, the paper explained, “hundreds” of new tanks and armored vehicles that the West is sending Ukraine will have a “limited” effect.
Theanonymous officialswho spoke to the Times also claimed that Ukrainian casualties have been so severe, with “more than 100,000” troops wounded or killed so far, that Kiev must decide whether to hold onto Artyomovsk or save soldiers for the “one meaningful opportunity this year” to go on the offensive.
Though the US has tried to downplay the significance of Artyomovsk, President Vladimir Zelensky has decided to hold the town at seemingly all cost, declaring there is no part of Ukraine that can be abandoned.
The only logic of “expending so much blood and ammo” on the town would be to “drain Russia of resources and prevent its troops from heading farther west,” Camille Grand, NATO’s former assistant secretary general for defense investment and now a defense expert at the European Council on Foreign Relations, told the Times. “The alternative is that they got dragged into a situation that, in the long term, plays in Russia’s favor and now it’s difficult to get out of it.”

==Serbian president speaks on Russia sanctions after scandal=
Aleksandar Vucic told reporters that he, and not some minister, will announce any policy changes
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic brushed off the demands of one of his cabinet ministers to join the EU sanctions against Russia, telling reporters on Thursday that the long-standing policy might change only if there is no other way.
“Our position is to not impose sanctions,”Vucic told reporters in Belgrade, before departing for North Macedonia for talks regarding the breakaway province of Kosovo.
Implying that this policy might be changed only in “circumstances when there is no way out,”Vucic said he, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic would know best if and when that became the case, adding that he would make such an announcement personally.
Whether that is within a month or five months, I don’t know. But our policy has persisted for over a year under the most difficult conditions, and no Basta will change it.
Vucic was responding to social media posts by Economy Minister Rade Basta, who earlier this week argued that Belgrade should sanction Moscow because the Western pressure was becoming unbearable. Basta’s own party disavowed his comments, and some members of the ruling coalition called for his resignation.
Individual ministers can’t go to the public with positions that are opposed to the majority of their colleagues in the cabinet, Vucic told reporters. As of Thursday, Basta remains in his post.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reacted by saying it was strange that Basta was complaining about Russia but did not seem to mind US and EU pressure. Basta tried to make a point that Zakharova was herself under Western sanctions, asking her to come to dinner in Serbia “if she could find a way to come.” The Russian diplomat politely reminded the Serbian minister it was Lent, but that she would gladly visit one of Moscow’s many Serbian restaurants after Easter.
Serbia has resisted pressure from the EU and the US to sanction Russia over the conflict with Ukraine, pointing out that the West is demanding Belgrade recognize Kosovo as independent but insisting on territorial integrity for Kiev.
Vucic is scheduled to meet with US and EU envoys and the leader of Kosovo’s ethnic Albanian government in Ohrid on Friday, to discuss the so-called Franco-German “normalization” plan.
The document, made public by the EU last month, includes provisions that would require Serbia to de facto recognize Kosovo and “harmonize” its foreign policy with Brussels, meaning sanctions against Russia.

Report: Conservatives, Republicans Could
Cut Off Establishment Media in 2024 Cycle

Conservatives and Republicans could, a new report suggests, cut off establishment media outlets’ access in the 2024 election cycle as GOP lawmakers and candidates look to alternative communication channels to tell their stories. The prospect of the establishment media’s precarious position was captured in a Tuesday article written by the Dispatch’s David Drucker in which he warned Republican lawmakers and candidates heading into the 2024 election cycle “could attempt to freeze out mainstream journalists,” paralyzing television networks’ content creation and crushing their claims of political neutrality.

Why is Trump so afraid of DeSantis? Just because he got real results and accomplished real things that improved the lives of all Floridians?
Pro-Trump PAC Files Ethics Complaint against DeSantis, Alleges Illegal ‘Shadow Campaign’ for President
A pro-Trump political action committee (PAC) has filed a lawsuit against Ron DeSantis, accusing the Republican Florida governor of running a “shadow presidential campaign.”
The PAC, Make America Great Again Inc., filed a 15-page ethics complaint against DeSantis in Florida.
The head of MAGA Inc., Taylor Budowich, sent a letter to Florida Commission on Ethics Glenton Gilzean, whom DeSantis appointed.
The letter alleges that there is probable cause to investigate whether DeSantis has violated Florida law.
The claim is that DeSantis violated the law by fundraising through his Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC.

“If Someone Wants to Come Here and Beat Us and Draw Us Through Our Legs and Our Hands We Are Ready” – Ukrainian Monks Call Out to International Christian Community After Persecution by Zelensky Regime
In May 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed into law No. 7172-1 that will ban opposition parties and seize their property. The law targets opposition parties if they deny the armed aggression against Ukraine.
The law includes actions that support the Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus, the two invading countries.
The news was first published on the Ukrainian news website UKRinform. This news was reported the same day US GOP Senators paid him a visit in Kyiv to show their support.
Zelenskyy also closed all of the TV stations and consolidated them into one state-run channel.
“Ukraine has had to take extraordinary measures to fight Russia’s invasion. Among them, the government has consolidated the country’s television outlets and dissolved rival political parties. It says it needs to do this to maintain a united front in fighting Russia,” NPR reported.
In December, after banning all TV platforms in Ukraine into one state broadcast, jailing political rivals, and restricting political parties, Zelensky then banned the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
“A meeting of the NSDC (National Security Defense Council) was held today,” said Zelensky. “A meeting at which we examined numerous facts of the ties of certain religious circles in Ukraine with the aggressor state.”
“It is necessary to create such conditions in which any figures dependent on the aggressor country will not be able to manipulate Ukrainians and weaken Ukraine from within,” he continued, referring to Russia, which invaded Ukraine in late February.
“The NSDC instructed the government to submit to the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament) a bill on the impossibility of the activities of religious organizations affiliated with the centers of influence in the Russian Federation in Ukraine,” added Zelensky.
“In addition, the state Service for Ethnopolitics and freedom of Conscience has been instructed to ensure the religious studies examination of the Statute on the Management of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for the presence of a church-canonical connection with the Moscow Patriarchate and if necessary, apply the measures provided for by law.”
Ukrainian Orthodox Christian monks speak to Christians from all over the world.
The Orthodox monks from Ukraine recently released a video where they call out to the international Christian community following their persecution by the Zelensky regime.
Orthodox Monk: “We will be hear until the end. If someone wants to come here and beat us and draw us through our legs and hands we are ready. We aren’t afraid. Everything that the people condemned us, we did not do it against our Church, we did not do it against our country, our Ukraine. We pray to God about our country, about our nation.”

Pornhub Acquired By Canadian Private Equity Firm 'Ethical Capital Partners'
The parent company of controversial website Pornhub - which has allowed all sorts of child sexual abuse on the platform despite repeated efforts to remove such content - has been sold to Canadian private equity firm, Ethical Capital Partners, which was formed last year and says it's focused on technology businesses that "have legal and regulatory complexity and that put a value on transparency and accountability."
The purchase is ECP's first transaction. The company is led by "cannabis entrepreneur Rocco Meliambro and criminal lawyer Fady Mansour, who is listed as managing partner. Derek Ogden, a retired chief superintendent of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, is also a partner at the firm," according to Bloomberg.
The move comes amid a lawsuit against the parent company, MindGeek, over sexually explicit videos of minors found on its 'tube' sites, the Financial Times reports.
Luxembourg-registered MindGeek has towered over the adult industry since the advent of video streaming. Its most recently published figures show revenues in 2018 reached $460mn while profit margins have at times neared 50 per cent, according to people familiar with the matter.
The identity of MindGeek’s former majority owner Bernd Bergmair — an ex-Goldman Sachs banker who also uses the name Bernard Bergemar — was first revealed by an FT investigation.
Pornhub's multiple scandals has led to the departure of its top management team, and restricted access to payment platforms Visa and Mastercard - which almost led to the site's collapse in late 2020 following investigations that identified illegal content on the platform.
According to ECP co-founder and attorney, Solomon Friedman, the lawsuits and criticism of MindGeek 'stemmed from a misunderstanding' of how the company is now safeguarding its content - which he says changed after the previous owners departed.
"I want to engage regularly with stakeholders, including the media," said Friedman, adding that the new owners 'wanted to exercise transparency.'
While the purchase price, and where the funds came from, have not been disclosed, the current remaining (anonymous) executives will continue running the company.
"At this point we are not identifying the current executives, as there is an unfortunate stigma [attached to the industry]," said Friedman.
According to MindGeek, Mastercard has reinstated access to its subscription sites, however the company's advertising arm, TrafficJunky, remains cut off following a court ruling that found Visa could be held liable for illegal content.

Pollak: Joe Biden Can Be Impeached for Bribery
News Thursday of payments from a Chinese Communist Party-linked company to members of President Joe Biden’s family amounts to a potential case for bribery, an impeachable offense under the Constitution.
The House Oversight Committee revealed that in 2017, China’s State Energy HK Limited sent $3 million to a company controlled by family associate Robert Walker, who in turn distributed funds to members of Biden’s family: his surviving son, Hunter; his brother, James; his daughter-in-law, Hallie; and an unknown “Biden.”
State Energy HK Limited was linked to CEFC China Energy, whose chairman, Ye Jianming, did business with Hunter Biden. CEFC was also involved in an abandoned joint venture with the Biden family in which someone referred to as the “big guy,” and presumed to be then-former Vice President Biden, was to have a 10% stake.
It is not clear what goods or services, if any, were provided in exchange for these payments.
Hunter Biden’s legal team issued a statement, claiming that he had engaged in a “legitimate” private business venture with a Chinese company: “As part of that joint venture, Hunter received his portion of good faith seed funds which he shared with his uncle, James Biden, and Hallie Biden, with whom he was involved with at the time, and sharing expenses.”
It was not clear what, exactly, that “joint venture” was, or how it was arranged.
Hunter Biden’s overseas business ventures had been recognized as early as 2015 as a potential conflict of interest for his father. Diplomats and journalists questioned Hunter Biden’s appointment to the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma, where he earned $83,333 per month, despite lacking relevant expertise, while his father was in office.
Those concerns were brushed aside, however, by the vice president’s office, and the issue was never resolved. Hunter Biden also connected other foreign business associates with his father, including Chinese associates.
The criminal statute of bribery describes giving “anything of value” to an official to “influence” him or her in performing any “official act.” The fact that the “thing of value” might have flowed to Biden’s friends and family, rather than to Biden himself, would not absolve him — and there is evidence that the senior Biden benefited from his family’s gains.
China’s desire to “influence” is clear; it is less clear what “act” Biden did, or did not do.
However, as Democrats reminded us again and again, throughout both Trump impeachment investigations and trials, it is not necessary that a criminal statute be violated for the president to be impeached and removed.
Many scholars say that a president can be impeached only for acts committed after taking office. But Democrats undermined that standard — not only by arguing that Trump could be impeached for “emoluments” as soon as he took office, but also by holding a second Senate trial for Trump even after he had left office in 2021.
And in this case, it could well be argued that Biden’s foreign policy is an ongoing act affected by past financial benefit.
Bribery is one of two acts — the other is treason — mentioned explicitly by the Constitution as impeachable offenses.
Prior to Thursday, the evidence existed on Hunter Biden’s laptop. Now, however, evidence has emerged from the U.S. Treasury.
The House Oversight Committee should turn its investigation into a full impeachment inquiry, with a congressional vote and all attending subpoena powers. No one is above the law.

California to overhaul San Quentin prison, emphasizing rehab
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — The infamous state prison on San Francisco Bay that has been home to the largest death row population in the United States will be transformed into a lockup where less-dangerous prisoners will receive education, training and rehabilitation, California officials announced Thursday.
The nearly 700 inmates serving death sentences at San Quentin State Prison will be moved elsewhere in the California penitentiary system, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office announced, and it will be renamed the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center.
“Today, we take the next step in our pursuit of true rehabilitation, justice, and safer communities through this evidenced-backed investment, creating a new model for safety and justice — the California Model — that will lead the nation,” Newsom said in a statement.

Senate advances bipartisan repeal of military force authorizations used to fight Iraq
The Senate invoked cloture on the legislation in a 68-27 vote.
The Senate voted Thursday to advance a bipartisan repeal of the United States' military force authorization used to wage war against Iraq in 1991 and again in 2003.
The Senate invoked cloture on the legislation in a 68-27 vote, closing debate on the measure and likely bringing it up for a vote next week.
The legislation was introduced in February by Virginia Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine, with 21 Republican and Democratic cosponsors. The cosponsor list has since grown to 41.

Government investigates after another massive fish kill at Menindee, in NSW's far west
Hundreds of thousands of dead fish have been discovered in the Darling River at Menindee, in NSW's far west.
Bony brim make up the majority of the fish species found so far, however, locals have also spotted a large amount of cod and golden perch among the dead.
In 2019, during NSW's devastating drought, millions of dead fish were found in the area, putting the management of the Murray-Darling Basin under the microscope.
NSW's Department of Primary Industries fisheries arm is dispatching officers to the area to assess the problem.
It says the bony brim species normally experience a "boom-bust" population cycle, especially when there is immense flooding.
But never on the scale seen right now.

Why is Ron DeSanctimonious paying The Babylon Bee, a non-entity, $5,000 a month, so far $21,500, if he’s not running for President? Just because his Poll Numbers are tanking, probably because of his desire to cut Social Security and Medicare, doesn’t allow him to campaign without an announcement! You don’t spend that much money on The Babylon Bee if you’re running for Governor, in fact, you don’t spend money on The Babylon Bee if you’re running for anything!

March 16, 2023
Los Angeles (LACDAO) – Silverado Senior Living Management, Inc., and three managers have been charged in connection with 14 COVID-related deaths at its residential care facility in 2020.
“The investigation revealed that the Silverado management team was aware of the risks associated with admitting a new resident from a high-risk area and failed to follow the appropriate procedures to protect their employees and the vulnerable people in their care,” Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said. “These careless decisions created conditions that needlessly exposed Silverado staff and its residents to serious injury and – tragically – death.”
Loren Bernard Shook, Jason Michael Russo and Kimberly Cheryl Butrum were charged with 13 felony counts of elder endangerment and five felony counts of violation causing death. The Irvine-based company also face the same charges.
The complaint alleges that in March 2020, Silverado is accused of admitting a new resident from a psychiatric unit in New York City, which was a COVID-19 epicenter at the time. Upon arrival at the company’s Beverly Place facility in Los Angeles’ Fairfax District, the resident allegedly was not medically assessed for the virus or other conditions.
The resident began displaying COVID symptoms the following morning and ultimately tested positive for the virus. After the resident displayed symptoms consistent with COVID, they were allegedly not placed into respiratory isolation.
Additionally, the managers are accused of not following accepted clinical standards and did not take appropriate steps to quarantine the new resident or require testing prior to admission. The facility also allegedly failed to prohibit entry of individuals who had engaged in domestic or international travel within the last 14 days to areas where COVID cases have been confirmed.
As a result, there was an outbreak at Beverly Place where 14 people, ranging in age from 32 to 94, died. Forty-five employees and 60 residents also were infected and sickened by the virus.
Those who died were:
Brittany Ringo, Elizabeth Cohen, Joseph Manduke, Catherine Apothaker, Jakob Khorsandi, Albert Sarnoff, Dolores Sarnoff, Myrna Frank, Frank Piumetti, Jay Tedeman, Luba Paz, Kaye Kiddoo, Richard Herman Michael Horn.

Harvard Legal Scholar Alan Dershowitz Blasts Manhattan DA, Says He is Engaging In ‘Targeted Injustice’ Against Trump
Manhattan’s District Attorney, Alvin Bragg (D), decision to pursue an investigation into former President Donald Trump’s $130,000 non-disclosure payments to Stormy Daniels as an illegal election contribution has left many in the legal world scratching their heads. Even legal experts that the Washington Post cites note the unusual nature of the case and that it relies on testimony from Michael Cohen, a disgraced lawyer who plead guilty to lying to Congress. Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus and famed legal defender of Trump during his first impeachment, called this attempt to investigate Trump ‘targeted injustice’ and likened it to how Southern prosecutors in the 1950s would harass civil rights workers.
Professor Dershowitz recalled that “[w]hen I was coming of age in the 1950s Southern prosecutors would target civil rights workers and search for any possible violation of the law, no matter how technical. If they discovered or invented a violation, they would indict, prosecute, convict, and sentence the target….That, precisely, is what we are now seeing with the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, targeting the former president and current candidate, Donald Trump.”
He further commented that “[a]fter spending months searching the criminal code for a law that Mr. Trump might be accused of violating, Mr. Bragg has apparently landed on a highly questionable campaign contribution provision that has never before been used in a comparable situation…All decent people, whether politically opposed to Mr. Trump (as I am) or supportive of his candidacy, should be concerned about this weaponizing of the prosecutor’s office for the political purpose of preventing a potential candidate from running for office.”
NYPD SEES MASSIVE WAVE OF RESIGNATION AS CRIME SPIKES – OVER 100 PERCENT JUMP FROM PREVIOUS YEARS
Mr. Dershowitz professed that “Equal protection of the law requires equal application and non-application of criminal statutes. Mr. Bragg would be violating that important principle if he seeks a grand jury indictment based on what now appears to be the slim evidence and even slimmer legal basis.”
In effect, Dershowitz finds that the legal theory that Mr. Bragg is operating under to investigate Mr. Trump is highly dubious and unprecedented in its application to what Trump did and that this was a clear-cut case of politicized prosecution. Even Ruth Marcus, a person who wrote that she’d “like to see Trump held to account” in an article for the Washington Post, commented that she was “nervous” about Mr. Bragg’s case. She rounded off her text by covering some of the difficulties in using this case to go after Trump in court by writing “I hope he [Mr. Bragg] knows what he’s doing.”
As of now, the Democratic District Attorney has not brought an indictment against the former (and possibly future) Republican president.

Revolver Exclusive: MTG sends BLISTERING letter to Merrick Garland Regarding Mackey “Meme Trial”…
Things are certainly heating up in the biggest free speech trial in the country: The DOJ vs Douglass Mackey. As you likely know by now,Mr. Mackey is facing 10 years in prison for sharing an anti-Hillary meme. Revolver covered the story of this monumental “free speech” case in a bombshell article that highlighted why this is the most important First Amendment trial in the country.
In January 2021, shortly after the January 6 incident inaugurated a national anti-MAGA crackdown, the Department of Justice charged Mackey with “conspiring … to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote.”
Mackey’s offense? Illegal memes.
Specifically, the DOJ claims that the above meme merits a prison sentence of up to ten years, for violation of 18 U.S. Code § 241. The law, which concerns “Conspiracy against rights,” is a subset of the Enforcement Act of 1871, better known as the Ku Klux Klan Act. The DOJ’s argument is that, by posting the abovememes on Twitter in 2016, and designing it to resemble a Hillary Clinton ad, Mackey deceived the publicinto casting invalid text message votes, as part of a conspiracy to deprive them of the right to vote.
The trial started the case has exploded all over the internet. Now the case reached the halls of Congress. Marjorie Taylor Greene has just sent Merrick Garland a blistering letter regarding Mr. Mackey’s case.
Here’s what MTG said in her letter to Garland:
Attorney General Garland:
I write to you expressing my profound dismay at the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) case against Douglass Mackey over his posting of memes on Twitter in 2016.1 Shockingly, Mr. Mackey is being charged with 18 U.S.C. § 241 2 , which is a subset of the Enforcement Act of 1870, also known as the Ku Klux Klan Act.3 The charge that Mr. Mackey was “conspiring with others in advance of the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election to use various social media platforms to disseminate information designed to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote”4 is not only laughable, but also a clear indication that the DOJ does not have a sound grasp on how to interpret the law.
First of all, it is an affront to African Americans lynched and murdered by the Ku Klux Klan that the DOJ is equating their treatment at the hands of racist terrorists to a Florida man posting memes on Twitter. That the DOJ thinks these two things are commensurate should be concerning to anyone. The law Mr. Mackey is accused of violating is clearly intended to criminalize physical violence and intimidation used to prevent people from exercising their rights as outlined in the Constitution, not the sharing of memes on social media. Mr. Mackey caused no one physical harm, did not threaten or intimidate anyone, and certainly did not kill anyone.
The question, then, is whether the DOJ is deliberately contorting this statute to apply to the free speech exercised by individuals with dissenting political views. All the evidence points to this being the case. Unfortunately, these tactics are nothing new for the DOJ since your appointment as Attorney General. We have seen individuals charged with felonies for obstructing legal proceedings on January 6, 2021, despite, in many cases, being nonviolent protestors exercising their constitutional right to freedom of assembly. Mr. Mackey’s case is perhaps even more concerning because he was not involved in any sort of riot or protest, but rather he simply posted funny images on social media that the DOJ did not like.
It seems the DOJ is intent on criminalizing “disinformation,” a legally undefined term, in order to squash freedom of speech. These Soviet-style methods of enforcing the law seem better suited for the governments of China or Iran, not the United States of America. There is no evidence that Mr. Mackey’s meme-posting prevented anyone from voting in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election, and there are no individuals claiming that it did. This case is simply the DOJ, on behalf of its puppeteers in the White House, versus Douglass Mackey, a.k.a. @TheRickyVaughn. This flagrant assault on free speech and political participation is utterly un-American, undemocratic, and incredibly dangerous.
I call on you, as Attorney General, to order the charges against Douglass Mackey to be dropped by the DOJ, and to immediately thereafter resign as Attorney General of the United States before your gross incompetence and twisted sense of justice further deteriorates the rights enumerated in and protected by the Constitution, and destroys the lives of more Americans.

“Why Would I Want to Fight For People Who Hate Me?” U.S. Army Ad Panned on YouTube
(Because the only way is the comped, woke, vax-crippled military, faggots.)
The US Army released a new ad last week reviving their old “Be All You Can Be” slogan in a bid to attract the “deplorables” they alienated with woke garbage and vax mandates to enlist but they appear to be running into a wee bit of trouble.
Despite the ad being markedly “anti-woke” (when compared to current standards) and trying to appeal to more traditional American values, the comments on the video are overwhelmingly negative with poster after poster asking why any normal American would want to fight for people who hate them.
“Why would I want to fight for people who hate me?” one commenter said.
“I’m never dying for people who hate me. NEVER,” said another.
“Nobody in my neighborhood speaks english or flies the American flag,” read another post. “Thanks for defending my country.”

Nine chairman Peter Costello is now promoting war with China after making $millions lobbying for defence companies
Nine Entertainment-owned papers have been talking up the prospects of Australia going to war with China while failing to declare that Nine chairman Peter Costello has made $millions in recent years lobbying on behalf of defence companies.
Former Prime Minister Paul Keating has also stuck his head up while never declaring he was and possibly still is on China’s payroll and executive editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, Tory Maguire, is sleeping with the enemy.
One of the numerous articles on this matter in Nine’s “Red Alert series” is titled “Australia faces the threat of war with China within three years – and we’re not ready” which is written as a statement of fact but is only an opinion piece which I find pathetic as it is blatant warmongering. The first question that should be asked is who benefits from propaganda like that?
In the next few days, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will announce what will be Australia’s biggest-ever defence purchase which will be for nuclear-powered submarines.
A lot of what is being said in the old media about Australia’s defence and its associated issues such as military spending is by companies and people who have skin in the game and that is what this article is about. With so many media companies and commentators having undeclared conflicts of interest, how is the public meant to make sense of Australia’s defence and the $billions spent on defence contracts?
It makes me wonder if the stories in Nine’s papers are part of a government propaganda exercise to justify the purchase of the submarines because the timing seems very coincidental.
David Miles, who is the husband of the executive editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, Tory Maguire, is a Liberal-linked lobbyist and/or Public Affairs lobbyist. Mr Miles played snooker with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the lodge only a couple of weeks ago after paying $10,000 for the privilege. (Click here to read more)
David Miles works for Willard Public Affairs and it says on their website “Willard is a specialist public affairs consultancy, providing political counsel and strategy, media relations, event management and advocacy services.” which would be handy if you had to justify spending $billions on defence.
It must also be handy having his wife run 2 newspapers and their associated websites at Nine Entertainment reaching millions of people daily and even better when Nine Entertainment chairman Peter Costello likes making $million lobbying on behalf of the defence companies.

Yemen peace talks intensify after Iran-Saudi deal
UN envoy has visited Tehran and Riyadh after the agreement brokered by China
Diplomatic efforts to broker a peace in Yemen accelerated after Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to re-establish diplomatic relations last week, the UN special envoy Hans Grundberg has reported to the Security Council.
“Intense diplomatic efforts are ongoing at different levels to bring the conflict in Yemen to an end,” Grundberg said on Wednesday, after returning from Tehran and Riyadh. “We are currently witnessing renewed regional diplomatic momentum, as well as a step change in the scope and depth of the discussions.”
Iran has reportedly agreed to stop supplying weapons to the Houthis of Yemen, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing anonymous US and Saudi officials. Tehran has officially denied sending weapons to the Houthis, and the Iranian mission at the UN declined to comment on the claim.
The Houthis are Shia Muslims, just like the Iranians, while the Saudis follow the Salafist branch of Sunni Islam. The US has backed Riyadh’s military involvement in Yemen, labeling the Houthis “Iranian proxies,” which both Tehran and the government in Sanaa have denied.
Last Friday, however, Saudi Arabia and Iran announced they had reached an agreement to re-establish diplomatic relations – which Riyadh severed in 2016 – and work to improve “regional and international peace and security.” The deal itself, as well as China’s role as the mediator, have been widely interpreted as a blow to US influence in the Persian Gulf.
On Sunday, the Iranian state news agency IRNA quoted government officials saying that the deal would help revive a ceasefire, “help start a national dialogue, and form an inclusive national government in Yemen.”
Saudi Arabia and several of its allies began bombing Yemen in March 2015, eventually deploying ground troops to fight against the Houthis, who had overthrown a pro-Saudi president. A tentative ceasefire reached last March officially expired in October, but large-scale hostilities have not resumed.
The UN estimates the years-long conflict in Yemen has claimed at least 377,000 lives, of which 150,000 were due to violence and the rest from starvation and disease. About four million people have been displaced.

Hillary Clinton: As a society, 'we don't even want to hear things we disagree with'
"That is what we see happening in Ukraine today," said the former secretary of state. "The Russian aggression is aimed at dehumanizing the Ukrainian people; they are not worthy of existing so why should anybody care whether they are bombed into oblivion?"
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said it's difficult to run a society in "today's environment" where people "don't even want to hear things we disagree with," which she argues is what's happening in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
"The information ecosystem in which we live demands so much quick response, often totally unthought," Clinton said after a discussion at Georgetown University on the legacy of the Good Friday Agreement. "It creates so much insulting, threatening rhetoric aimed at people who are trying to do hard things."
Clinton said there are lessons for today from the Good Friday Agreement, which was signed in April of 1998. The peace agreement brought an end to the violent political conflict that had wracked Northern Ireland for decades.
Clinton mentioned the controversial decision that former President Bill Clinton made to issue a visa to longtime Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams in 1994. According to a BBC report in 2019, Adams said Clinton's decision "helped to pave the way for the IRA truce seven months later."
"You do not make peace with your friends," Clinton said during her speech. "You do not negotiate with people you already agree with. It is sometimes difficult in today's environment for people to want to make the effort, let alone take the risk, to get out of their own comfort zones. We don't even want to hear things we disagree with. We don't want to hear different opinions from people who we have already concluded are outside the pale of our comfort zone.
"You cannot run a society, let alone make peace for long, if that is your ingoing attitude. 'I have nothing to learn from this person. I do not see him/her as a fellow human being. There is no reason for us to talk.' That is what we see happening in Ukraine today."
Clinton told the audience that the "Russian aggression" in Ukraine is "aimed at dehumanizing the Ukrainian people: They are not worthy of existing so why should anybody care whether they are bombed into oblivion?"
She implored the public to find ways to relate to one another in today's complex information environment.
"So we all have to do some serious soul-searching about how we relate to one another in this much more complicated information environment where demonizing and scapegoating are just accepted strategies," she said.
