The FBI’s D.C. field office treated Americans exercising their right to free speech as suspected criminals, with no evidence to do so.

The FBI’s D.C. field office directed the Boston office to open investigations into more than 100 Americans who had attended the Jan. 6 rally despite having no evidence those individuals had committed any crime, according to whistleblower testimony reviewed by The Federalist. This represents the second attempt by the D.C. field office to sic the FBI on innocent Americans — in this case, people who were exercising their First Amendment right to free speech.

The D.C. field office pressured Boston’s FBI office to open criminal investigations into some 140 people who took buses from Massachusetts to D.C. on Jan. 6, according to testimony from George Hill, a whistleblower and recently retired FBI supervisory intelligence analyst, reviewed by The Federalist. The D.C. field office applied this pressure, Hill said, even though it had no evidence that any of those travelers had entered restricted areas of the Capitol.

Hill, a military veteran and former longtime FBI and NSA analyst, had previously identified himself as one of several whistleblowers cooperating with House Judiciary Committee investigators when he spoke with Just the News’ John Solomon last month. The Federalist’s review of Hill’s testimony confirmed the details he told Solomon and exposed more troubling information.

According to Hill’s testimony, after rioters entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the D.C. field office, which was leading the investigation, presented the Boston office “definitive evidence” that two individuals within its jurisdiction had entered restricted areas of the Capitol. Boston opened investigations into those two individuals.

In his deposition testimony to congressional investigators, Hill explained that because those two people had arranged for buses to take rally-goers to Washington, the D.C. field office told the Boston office to open investigations into all 140 of the passengers.

According to the whistleblower, a Boston supervisory special agent, or SSA, told the D.C. field office, “Happy to do it. Show us where they were inside the Capitol, and we’ll look into it.”

But the D.C. field office said it couldn’t do that unless it knew the exact time and location in the Capitol where the individuals were located, according to Hill’s testimony. Then when Boston asked for access to the 11,000 hours of video to allow its own agents to review the footage themselves to assess whether to launch an investigation into any of the rally-goers, the D.C. field office refused to share the video, Hill’s testimony revealed. The bureau claimed the footage might reveal undercover agents or confidential human sources, according to the whistleblower.

Yet the D.C. field office persisted in its demand for Boston to open investigations into everyone on the bus, threatening to call the special agent in charge of the field office if the lower-level agent refused. The supervisory special agent remained firm, however. As Hill explained, the SSA told the D.C. field office that those 140 people “were going to a political rally, which is First Amendment protected activity.”

This move by the bureau represents its second such attempt — just from Hill’s testimony — to target innocent Americans. As The Federalist reported on Monday, Hill also told the House Judiciary Committee that the D.C. field office pressured local FBI field offices to open investigations on innocent, gun-owning Americans based on data mining that Bank of America voluntarily provided to the bureau.

According to The Federalist’s review of the testimony, Hill said the Bank of America list included people who used its credit or debit cards in D.C., or the surrounding Maryland and Virginia areas, on Jan. 5, 6, or 7, 2021. Furthermore, people who had ever (through Jan. 6, 2021) used a Bank of America product to purchase a firearm were elevated to the top of the list.

In both instances, Boston’s special agent in charge, Joseph Bonavolonta, withstood the outside pressure — something Hill commended in his testimony.

While Bonavolonta and the Boston office refused to investigate Americans based solely on their First Amendment activities or credit card receipts placing them in the greater-D.C. area, it is unclear whether other field offices launched investigations based on the D.C. office’s pressure. A source familiar with Hill’s testimony confirmed that Hill did not know the answer to that question either.

How much of policy tightening is too much? With the major central banks around the world already having raised their benchmark rates by the most in decades, (they are already backing this off-SoKo just stopped cause it had it's biggest trade deficit ever) it’s natural that the question is being asked. In fact, it seems that it was a point of discussion at the European Central Bank’s meeting last month, though such concerns were considered premature. When interest rates go from being the most accommodative they have perhaps ever been to a regime where they need to curb the worst bout of inflation in decades, central banks have to make up for lost time. Could it be that policy mandarins may have to raise rates to the extent of perpetrating a crisis in a vulnerable corner of the market? Perhaps — but don’t blame the tightening. Instead, blame the ultra-loose policy accommodation that preceded it. At least, that’s the conclusion of just-released research by the San Francisco Fed.

Among other things, the paper says: “A loose stance over an extended period of time leads to increased financial fragility several years down the line. The source of this fragility is associated with swings in those financial variables that have been identified by the literature as harbingers of financial turmoil. Policymakers should take the dangers imposed by keeping policy rates low for long seriously, and thus weigh the potential short-run gains of loose monetary policy against potentially adverse medium-term consequences.”

That should cut close to the bone for many central banks that willingly plied the markets with oodles of cash and then some after having already slashed rates to ultra-low levels. The Bank of England’s experience is a case in point. When rates touched the basement bottom before the inflation genie was uncorked, the housing markets were intoxicated, and few thought of the perils of an eventual upshot in interest rates. Yet, it’s now a huge issue for many domestic homeowners, and the BOE — already playing catch-up in its fight against inflation — seems to be caught between a rock and a hard place. And let’s not forget that the crisis that beset the UK pension fund industry last year was ultimately fostered by ultra-low rates that spurred investors to seek out leveraged swaps. But the BOE isn’t the only one caught in a bind by any stretch of imagination. If it feels like too much tightening, it is because central banks are settling two outstanding bills at once: one for the excess indulgence of the go-go days, and one for being asleep at the wheel when inflation started showing up. And if there is a single lesson to take away from the current inflationary backdrop for central banks, it is perhaps that pumping money into the economy at the first hint of distress comes with unacceptably high costs. As the paper says, “Financial crises are predicted by loose monetary policy several years ahead.”

Japan’s New H3 Rocket Fails, JAXA Sends Self-Destruct Signal

The first H3 rocket was launched on Tuesday, but the mission ended in failure as the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) had to transmit a destruct command about 15 minutes after liftoff.

Carried on top of the H3 was the government’s advanced land-observing satellite Daichi-3, which is designed mainly to assess damage in the event of disasters. The loss of the satellite will inevitably have an impact on disaster management.

The launch vehicle lifted off around 10:37 a.m. from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture. But JAXA could not confirm that the second-stage engine had ignited, so it sent the signal to destroy the rocket.

The Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Ministry will set up a task force to investigate the cause.

“I deeply apologize for not meeting the expectations of the public,” said JAXA President Hiroshi Yamakawa at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Asked about the possible impact on the future of Japan’s space development, Yamakawa said, “We’d like to make every possible effort to clarify the cause of the accident first.”

JAXA said that after the destruct command was issued, the rocket fell into the ocean to the east of the Philippines and no harm to people or other damage has been confirmed so far.

An earlier attempt to launch the rocket on Feb. 17 had been aborted just before liftoff when an anomaly was detected after the first-stage main engine’s ignition and the booster rockets failed to ignite. Investigations found that electrical noise caused a malfunction in the first-stage control system. JAXA then completed measures to suppress the noise.

The H3 Launch Vehicle, deemed “Japan’s new flagship rocket” to succeed the current H-2A, was expected to participate in the global satellite launch market with its lower cost and increased launch capacity. This launch failure, however, will be a major blow to the nation’s space development, led by the government and JAXA.

This rocket launch failure follows that of the Epsilon-6 solid-fuel rocket in October last year. The H-2A failed in its sixth launch in 2003.

The Daichi-3 satellite was scheduled to separate from the rocket to be placed into orbit about 17 minutes after the firing of the first- and second-stage engines.

The H3 has been under development by JAXA, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and other entities since 2014. The first H3 measured 57 meters in length and 5.2 meters in diameter. Development costs so far have reached ¥206 billion.

An H3 rocket is also scheduled to launch the HTV-X, an unmanned cargo transfer vehicle that will carry supplies to the International Space Station and a future lunar orbiting base, as well as a probe for the moons of Mars.

As the launch vehicle is important for ensuring autonomy in Japan’s space development for the next 20 years, the cause of the accident could have a long-term impact on future plans.

The inaugural launch of the H3 rocket was initially planned for fiscal 2020 but was postponed twice due to reasons including the discovery of cracks in the first-stage engine. JAXA said the problems had been resolved through engine design changes and other means. The final engine test in November last year had yielded favorable results.

“The second-stage engine was inherited from that of the H-2A rocket, and the design has been almost the same as that of the H-2A,” said Ko Ogasawara, a professor of aerospace engineering at Tokyo University of Science who was a former chief engineer of MHI. “The H-2A did not have this kind of trouble. I have no idea how this could have happened.”

In normal circumstances, the Atomwaffen’s plot in Baltimore should have been headline news

American far-right radicals – linked to neo-Nazis from the Ukrainian Azov Battalion – have been charged withconspiring to stage a terrorist attack in Baltimore, Maryland. However, US media reporting on the story does not mention connections between the group and the militants.

Additionally, the attempted terrorist act may only be the first signs of the threat that Azov members, and their foreign friends, pose to Western countries.

Failed plans

In early February, the US Justice Department announced the indictment of neo-Nazis Sarah Beth Clendaniel and Brandon Clint Russell forconspiracy to destroy energy substations in Baltimore. Authorities describe the pair’s plans as “driven by their ideology of racially-motivated hatred.” If convicted, they each face a maximum sentence of 20 years.

Beginning in June 2022, though possibly earlier, the pair plotted a series of attacksagainst substations using balloons and rifle fire with the goal of shorting out power transformersand depriving thousands of residents of light and heat. They specifically aimed to carry this out “when there is greatest strain on the grid” and energy demand was highest.

Russell shared maps of planned targets with Clendaniel, outlining how even low-level strikes on electrical substations could cause a “cascading failure” across Baltimore’s entire electricity grid, animpact that would be maximized by hitting multiple sitessimultaneously. Clendaniel envisioned the plan would “permanently completely lay this city to waste.” in supposedly encrypted messaging app chats.

To jail and back again

Russell is the founder of Atomwaffen Division, also known as the National Socialist Resistance Front, an international neo-Nazi terrorist network. In January 2018, he was jailed for possessing an unregistered destructive device and illegally storing explosives. An FBI bomb technician claimedthe material was sufficient to completely destroy an airliner and prosecutors say he planned to use it in terrorist attacks targeting civilians, nuclear facilities and synagogues across the US.

While in prison, Russell issued a video message to his followers thanking them for their “undying loyalty and courage,” and promising his incarceration would not stop Atomwaffen’s mission. He also provided them with bomb-making instructions.

“There is no room in this world for cowardly people,” he declared,quoting Adolf Hitler. “The sword has been drawn. There is no turning back.”

Despite such pronouncements and the fact Atomwaffen adherents both in the US and abroad carried out increasingly serious crimes while he was jailed, including multiple murders,Russell was released early from prison. Furthermore, he was not subject to any order banning him from contact with other members of his neo-Nazi fraternity.

It is just as remarkable that a federal bust of a domestic terror plot involving leading members of a group – who clearly pose ahuge threat to public safety – has basically been completely ignored by the mainstream media and US politicians alike. After all, President Joe Biden's administration has aggressively promoted the threat of far-right, racially-motivated extremism. Officials have even gone to the extent of carrying out secret social media witch-hunts targeting white conservatives to identify - or perhaps fabricate - evidence of this danger.

What accounts for the conspiracy of silence surrounding the indictment of Clendaniel and Russell? The incident should provide ample fodder for the White House, liberal pundits, and reporters. Theanswer may lie in Atomwaffen’s international connections – namely to Ukraine’s notorious, brutal Azov Battalion– and the inevitable consequences of Western training, funding and sponsorship of far-right elements in that Eastern European country for so many years.

A dark, but open secret

An investigation in 2020 by the West Point Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center found that Ukraine has long-held “a particular attraction for white supremacists–ideologues, activists, and adventurers alike.”

The abundance of nationalist groups involved in 2014’s US-led Maidan coup was “electrifying to far-right individuals and groups in Europe, the US and further afield,” the investigation records.Neo-Nazis the world over began flooding Ukraine, which they considered to be a new fascist state in the making. Of particular attraction was the Azov Battalion, which“enjoyed support from within the government of then President Petro Poroshenko and the security services, despite well-documented human rights abuses.”

This marked the first time since World War II anywhere in Europe that aneo-Nazi faction – “celebrated, openly organizing, with friends in high places” – had received warm state recognition and sponsorship. Quite a few of the neo-Nazi arrivals to Kiev joined the Battalion itself or received guidance and training from its fighters.

For President Biden, there are also political considerations at work. Egg prices, which soared in 2022, were 70 percent higher in January than they were a year earlier. Those high prices have given Republicans another opportunity to attack Mr. Biden over inflation just as he is preparing to run for re-election in 2024.

If a vaccination campaign could provide economic relief for households, Mr. Biden would certainly be interested in such an undertaking, one official said.

The CEO of Zoetis, the manufacturer of the bird flue vaccine is Kristin Peck.

Peck has been with the company since its founding in 2012. Prior to her work at Zoetis Peck previously served as Pfizer’s Executive Vice President of Worldwide Business Development and Innovation.

Pfizer split off from Zoetis in 2013.

Zoetis was an offshoot from Pfizer.

U.S. Capitol Police say they saw just one of the many clips from the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol that Fox News host Tucker Carlson aired on Monday night, after he was granted access by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).

“We repeatedly requested that any clips be shown to us first for a security review,” Capitol Police told The Hill on Monday. “So far we have only been given the ability to preview a single clip out of the multiple clips that aired.”

The limited consultation comes after McCarthy said Capitol Police would be consulted before the video aired to address security concerns.

“We work with the Capitol Police as well, so we’ll make sure security is taken care of,” McCarthy told reporters last week.

Bruce Hensel, an ex-medical correspondent for an NBC affiliate station in Los Angeles, was sentenced Monday to two years of probation for having solicited naked pictures of a child with the intent to commit a crime.

Hensel pleaded no contest to the charges, reported the Los Angeles Times.

Although the Emmy Award-winning veteran of 30 years avoided jail time, he is at least now a registered sex offender.

Hensel was arrested in November 2019 after investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department's northeast division looked into probable child sexual exploitation involving the 9-year-old daughter of one of his female acquaintances.

The Times reported that a transcript of the text exchange between Hensel and the child was included in a filing submitted to the California Medical Board last year, revealing the doctor had repeatedly demanded "sexy and private" images.

Hensel, who served as co-director of emergency rooms at Century City Hospital and Sam Dimas Community Hospital, claimed his repeated attempts from March through August 2019 to satisfy an apparent pedophilic lust were an "isolated thing."

The pedophile, listed as the executive producer on two transsexual-focused Showtime movies, had endeared himself to the victim's mother, discussing the possibility of financing a movie in which the little girl would star.

"I have always been good special friends and you feel safe with me so I will protect you and get you something," wrote Hensel in 2019. "They could maybe make you a star if you are willing to take some risks."

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced his government will be setting aside $5.5 million to combat “disinformation” as he struggles with accusations of benefitting from Chinese Communist Party election interference.

Prime Minister Trudeau announced the $5.5 million investment into “combatting disinformation” on Monday at a press conference in Ottawa saying, “I can announce were are investing 5.5 million dollars to build capacity of civil society organisations to combat disinformation.”

“Because we know disinformation often generated abroad can be a real threat to our elections and it’s a threat that the federal government cannot combat alone,” he added.

While it is unknown which organisations and groups will benefit from the $5.5 million, the Trudeau government has a history of funding questionable groups and individuals in recent years.

Among those who were handed Trudeau government cash, was alleged “anti-hate” activist Leith Marouf who was revealed to be a prolific antisemite on social media.

Marouf’s group, the Community Media Advocacy Centre (CMAC), saw its funding cut in August of last year after Housing and Diversity and Inclusion Minister Ahmed Hussen called his statements “reprehensible and vile.”

Trudeau has also given large sums of cash to the Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN), which came under fire for attempting to link the former flag of Canada that flew during World War Two with hatred, calling it a “hate-promoting symbol” as part of a government-funded school handbook project.

The Canadian Liberal government has decried “disinformation” in the past as well and has been accused of peddling disinformation themselves, particularly regarding an attempt to ban hunting firearms last year.

Trudeau’s press conference on Monday also saw the Prime Minister address major concerns over foreign election interference from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including allegations that his Liberal Party directly benefitted from the alleged interference in the last two federal elections.

The allegations emerged from leaks from the Canadian Secret Intelligence Service (CSIS), which claimed to have warned Trudeau about Chinese attempts to interfere in the last two elections.

When previously confronted on the topic, Trudeau dodged questions and even made bizarre statements regarding anti-Asian hatred in response to questions regarding MP Han Dong, who was specifically named by the CSIS leakers.

A blistering new official investigation decries violent, lawless “deputy gangs” that continue to wield extraordinary power within the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. The report delivers a call to action for new Sheriff Robert Luna: “It is time to eradicate this 50-year plague upon the County of Los Angeles.”

The report identifies at “least a half dozen” active gangs and cliques — and names them: the Executioners, the Banditos, the Regulators, the Spartans, the Gladiators, the Cowboys, and the Reapers.

These groups pose a threat to the general public — deputies hoping to prove themselves worthy of gang membership routinely seek out violent encounters with the public, the investigation reports — as well as to the internal command-and-control structure of LASD. The gangs “undermine supervision, destroy public trust, are discriminatory, disruptive, and act contrary to … professional policing,” the report concludes.

Perhaps most alarming, the investigation reveals that in recent years “tattooed deputy gang members” have risen to “the highest levels” of department leadership. It calls out recent former Sheriff Alex Villanueva (who lost his 2022 reelection bid) for betraying promises of reform by installing gang members as his right-hand men. Villanueva, the report says, “at minimum tolerated, if not rewarded deputy gangs.”

The new investigation describes a deputy-gang culture that is “deeply embedded” within LASD, calling it a “cancer” that “must be excised.” Conducted by the special counsel to the Civilian Oversight Commission — the county body that watchdogs LASD — the 70-page investigation relied on interviews with nearly 80 witnesses as well as dozens of depositions, court exhibits, and civil lawsuits.

LASD is the nation’s second-largest municipal law enforcement agency. Its deputies are sworn to “serve and protect” more than four million residents — as well as to operate America’s largest county jail system. Yet LASD has long been riven by lawlessness. Gangs and cliques were first decried in LASD in 1973, with the identification of a group called the Little Devils. A landmark report by the Kolts Commission, issued in the wake of the Rodney King beating, denounced the problem of deputy cliques publically in 1992. A 2021 report commissioned by L.A. County underscored that deputy-gangs had cost taxpayers at least $55 million in court judgments and settlements, and it excoriated leadership that “can’t or won’t” implement gang reforms.

In the past, official reports have minced words around the “gang” terminology; this new report insists that common behaviors by deputy cliques meet the definition of “law enforcement gangs” under the state’s penal code, and that both cliques and gangs “must be eradicated” in the name of public safety.

A high-profile former Clinton lawyer has been killed in a freak incident that caused no other injuries after the plane she was traveling on hit turbulence during the flight.

The passenger killed in the incident has been named by authorities as Dana J. Hyde.

Hyde, 55, served as a top attorney in the administrations of former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

She also once served on the 9/11 Commission.

Hyde was reportedly found unresponsive after the private business jet she was traveling on hit turbulence over New England.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Bradley International Airport, just north of Hartford.

Hyde who lived in Cabin John, Maryland, was rushed by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Hartford.

She was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors, the Connecticut State Troopers said in a statement.

Her remains are with the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner while an investigation has been launched by federal authorities, according to NBC News.

Staffed by British special forces veterans, Pilgrims’ Group quietly shaped international coverage of the MH17 disaster as it shepherded journalists to and from the crash site.

In November of 2022, a final judgment arrived in the trial of alleged perpetrators of the attack on Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17). Russian nationals Igor Girkin and Sergey Dubinskiy, and Donbas separatist Leonid Kharchenko, were convicted in absentia for the murder of MH17’s 283 passengers and 15 crew members. They were ruled to have arranged the transfer of the Buk surface-to-air missile system that reportedly struck the plane.

Oleg Pulatov, the only defendant to seek legal representation during the trial, was conversely acquitted on all charges, which prosecutors will not appeal.

The Malaysian airliner had been purportedly shot down by a missile on July 17th 2014, killing all 283 passengers and 15 crew aboard.

Heavily dependent on information supplied by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and the Western government-funded “open source” investigations organization known as Bellingcat, the guilty verdicts appeared to vindicate an established narrative in which Russia and its Donbas allies were solely culpable.

But as this investigation will reveal, much of the news coverage of MH17 was heavily influenced by a shadowy entity called Pilgrims Group, which is closely tied to British intelligence.

Staffed and led by British Special Forces veterans, Pilgrims Group is a private security company offering elite security services to London’s embassies, diplomats, spies, and business interests abroad, particularly in high-risk environments. It also trains foreign militaries and paramilitary groups, and provides protection to reporters and their employers.

It was in the latter context that Pilgrims Group shaped media coverage – and by extension, official investigations – of MH17. The company had maintained a presence in Kiev since the early days of the US-orchestrated Maidan “revolution” in late 2013, shepherding journalists to and from the scenes of major events in Ukraine. In the process, it maintained control over what the reporters under its watch saw and how they understood the situations they encountered.

As such, Pilgrims Group played a pivotal role in the effort by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and British intelligence to convict Russia and the Donbas separatists for MH17’s downing. The operation began while the plane’s wreckage remained smoldering on the ground of rebel-controlled territory, and ultimately prevented the initiation of any genuinely independent investigations.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -A U.S. federal judge ruled that a Missouri state law aimed at invalidating many federal gun regulations was unconstitutional, handing the U.S. Justice Department a victory on Tuesday in its bid to get the law tossed out.

In a 24-page opinion, U.S. District Judge Brian Wimes for the Western District of Missouri wrote that the state's Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA), also known as "HB85," violates the supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution, a doctrine which holds that federal laws take priority over conflicting state laws.

"SAPA’s practical effects are counterintuitive to its stated purpose," Wimes wrote.

"While purporting to protect citizens, SAPA exposes citizens to greater harm by interfering with the federal government’s ability to enforce lawfully enacted firearms regulations designed by Congress for the purpose of protecting citizens."

Spokespeople for Missouri Governor Michael Parson did not have an immediate comment on the ruling.

The Justice Department has previously said that HB85, which was signed into law in June 2021, has harmed partnerships between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and state and local law enforcement.

"H.B. 85 has caused many state and local law enforcement agencies to stop voluntarily assisting in the enforcement of any federal firearm offense, or even offer critical investigative assistance to the federal government for use in its enforcement activities," Justice Department attorneys wrote in their February 2022 civil complaint against Missouri.

A Justice Department spokesperson did not have any immediate comment on the judge's ruling.

Inflatable arms maker reports soaring demand

Business was up by more than 30% last year, Inflatech reports

A Czech company that produces inflatable imitation weapons, including fake American HIMARS rocket systems and Abrams tanks reportedly used as decoys in Ukraine, announced on Monday that production orders have dramatically increased.

According to Inflatech, which produces more than 30 types of life-size inflatable military decoys, its business soared by 30% last year.

The company’s chief executive Vojtech Fresser told the Associated Press that he expects growth to continue rising by double digits for at least another three to five years.

Fresser refused to comment on whether the company’s decoys were being used by Ukrainian forces. However, he said: “I can imagine that if we want to support a partner country which is in trouble, we would send them inflatable decoys. Or it already has them, and if not, it will have them, for sure.”

Inflatech uses light materials, such as artificial silk, for the production of its decoys. As a result, a fake tank could weigh up to 100kg. It reportedly takes four people to operate a decoy, with ten minutes needed to unwrap and inflate it.

According to the company, the fake tanks, armored vehicles and jet fighters are used to fool the enemy on the battlefield, so that they target the decoys instead of real weaponry.

“If I force the enemy to destroy a thing of mine by using something which is four times, but in reality it could be 20 times more expensive, then I’m the winner economically,” Fresser explained to AP.

Inflatech currently manufactures up to50 decoys a month. Those are reportedly sold to a number of countries, with any such exports to a NATO state requiring them to be approved by its government.

Earlier this month, the US Department of Defense announced that it would send a new military aid package worth $400 million to Ukraine, including HIMARS rockets and artillery shells. The package is the 33rd tranche of military aid doled out to Ukraine since August 2021.

Since the beginning of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine last February, Washington has reportedly provided Kiev more than $32 billion worth of arms. Russia has long condemned the supply of Western arms to Ukraine, arguing that this only prolongs the fighting without changing the outcome.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported the return of 90 servicemen, while Kiev says it got back 130

Some 220 troops have been released from captivity as Russia and Ukraine conducted the latest in a series of prisoner swaps, the Russian Defense Ministry and the Presidential Office in Kiev reported on Tuesday.

The ministry said it managed to secure the return of 90 of its servicemen, who were in “mortal danger” while in captivity. It’s noted that all those who were released will be transported to Moscow, where they will be provided with all necessary medical and psychological assistance.

Meanwhile, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrey Yermak, wrote on Telegram that 130 people had been returned to the Ukrainian side – 126 servicemen and four servicewomen.

He noted that these soldiers were members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guardsmen, border guards, and state special transport service. Yermak also stated that, of the 130 prisoners, 87 were Mariupol defenders, and 71 were from the Azovstal steel plant, which was the final battleground for the city in the spring of 2022.

Most of the people returned to the Ukrainian side have serious injuries, Yermak claimed, adding that all necessary assistance would be provided to them.

The last prisoner swap between Russia and Ukraine took place on February 16. Then, Moscow received 101 servicemen while 100 military personnel and one civilian were returned to Kiev. That same month, with mediation efforts by the United Arab Emirates, Russia also secured the release of 63 prisoners of war, including persons of a “sensitive category,” while Kiev reported the return of 116 people.

Democrat Lawmakers in Maryland Introduce Bill Preventing Anyone 25 Under from Being Charged with Felony Murder

Democratic lawmakers in Maryland are attempting to pass a bill to prevent criminals under 25 from being convicted of felony murder.

In the state of Maryland, “Felony murder occurs when someone is killed while a felony crime, like robbery, is being committed.’

House Bill 1180 , also called the Youth Accountability and Safety Act, would ultimately prevent anyone under 25 from being charged with felony murder.

The new bill was introduced by Democratic Delegate Charlotte Cruchfield.

Cruchfield’s reasoning behind the new bill is that a person’s frontal lobes are not fully developed until the age of 25.

Republicans, however, are not on board with the idea of murderers getting off the hook.

Per Fox 45 Baltimore:

However, opponents of HB 1180, like Republican Delegate Susan McComas say Democrats are only using mental capacity when it comes to soft on crime policies.

“Proponents of the bill say that the human brain is not fully formed in the frontal lobes until age 25. But yet, we’re doing other things in the general assembly, letting children vote earlier and earlier, letting them get hormone inducing drugs to change their sex,” said McComas.

The State of Maryland’s Juvenile Justice Service head Vincent Schiraldi previously went on record saying no one under 21 should be introduced to the Justice System.

Officers ask Ms Vaughan-Spruce to 'step outside the exclusion zone' that exists around the clinic. However, she tells officers that she is 'not protesting' and 'not engaging in any of the activities prohibited'.

Police respond: 'But you've said you're engaging in prayer, which is the offence', to which she replies: 'Silent prayer.'

The officer then says, 'No, but you were still engaging in prayer. It is an offence', to which Ms Vaughan-Spruce answered: 'I disagree.'

She was then arrested by six officers.

In a statement through her legal representatives, ADF UK, Ms Vaughan-Spruce said: 'Only three weeks ago, it was made clear by the court that my silent prayers were not a crime.

'And yet, again, I have been arrested and treated as a criminal for having the exact same thoughts in my head, in the same location.

'The ambiguity of laws that limit free expression and thought - even in peaceful, consensual conversation or in silent, internal prayer - leads to abject confusion, to the detriment of important fundamental rights. Nobody should be criminalised for their thoughts.'

According to ADF UK, a charity committed to protecting freedom of expression that has campaigned against the buffer zones - areas around clinics cordoned off from anti-abortion campaigners - Ms Vaughan-Spruce has been subject to bail conditions prohibiting her from going near the abortion facility.

Student Loan Lender SoFi Sues Biden Admin To End Payment Pause Extension

A major banking institution and federal student loan refinancing company has called on a federal court to end the Biden administration’s pause on student loan payments, arguing that the moratorium has no legal basis.

San Francisco-based SoFi Bank and SoFi Lending Corp.—a student loan refinancing company—sued the Department of Education (DOE) on Friday, according to a complaint (pdf) filed in the District Court for the District of Columbia.

That complaint asked that President Joe Biden’s latest extension of the student-loan payment pause be deemed “invalidated and set aside” or, at a minimum, that the DOE be ordered to require repayment by borrowers who are not eligible for student-debt cancellation.

It also asked that the court issue a permanent injunction preventing the administration from “enforcing, applying, or implementing the eighth extension of the loan moratorium.”

Biden announced in November that his administration would extend its moratorium on student loan repayments, interest, and collections through June 30, 2023, marking the eighth extension.

In its filing with the court, SoFi Bank argued that the moratorium has no legal basis and has cost the bank, along with its refinancing business, millions of dollars in profits.

Specifically, SoFi Bank and SoFi Lending Corp. said the pause violates the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) because the department failed to follow notice-and-comment procedures, through which the administration should have first sought the public’s input or comment on the program.

The Federal Trade Commission has asked Twitter to turn over internal communications related to owner Elon Musk, detailed information about layoffs and other business decisions as part of an investigation into the social media company, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday citing documents.

The FTC, chaired by Lina Khan, sent 12 letters to Twitter and its lawyers since Musk’s takeover in October. It also asked the company to “identify all journalists” who were granted access to company records and to provide information about the launch of the revamped Twitter Blue subscription service, the report said.

Investigators find vessel involved in Nord Stream sabotage – media

It allegedly belongs to a company owned by Ukrainians, German media outlets claim

German authorities probing explosions at the Nord Stream gas pipelines have identified a vessel that appears to have been involved in what is widely regarded as an act of sabotage, a host of German media outlets revealed on Tuesday. The yacht, which was reportedly used in the attack on the pipelines, belongs to a Polish-based company owned by two Ukrainians, according to the reports.

Germany’s ARD broadcaster SWR radio and Die Zeit newspaper launched what they called their own joint journalistic investigation into the activities of the German law enforcement authorities involved in this case.

Their findings indicate the yacht set sail from the German northeastern port city of Rostock on September 6, with the explosives and equipment for the operation arriving in Rostock separately in a delivery truck. The yacht was later identified on the Danish island of Christianso, located just north-east of the island of Bornholm, where the pipelines were damaged on September 26, 2022.

The yacht was then returned to the owners, and the investigators managed to find traces of explosives on a table in its cabin, the outlets claim. The act of sabotage was reportedly carried out by a team of six people, including a captain, two divers, two diving assistants, and a female doctor.

The identities or even nationalities of the suspects remain unclear as they had “professionally forged passports,” which they also used to rent the yacht in the first place, according to German media outlets. The German authorities have also reportedly found no evidence that might point to who might have ordered the pipelines to be sabotaged.

According to ARD, SWR and Die Zeit, a Western secret service organization allegedly tipped off some European “partner services”shortly after the explosions, saying that a “Ukrainian commando” unit was responsible for the attack. The media outlets also claimed there had been “further intelligence indications” that a pro-Ukrainian group could be behind it.

The German government has not commented on the information presented by the media so far. A few days ago, Sweden, Denmark and Germany “informed the United Nations Security Council that the investigations are ongoing and that there are still no results,” a government spokesman declared on Tuesday. Kiev denied any involvement in the incident when contacted by the German media.

Citing some anonymous US intelligence officials, the New York Times on Tuesday reported that a “pro-Ukrainian group” was behind the September 2022 attacks. “No American or British nationals were involved,” it added.

NEW YORK (AP) — A voting tech company suing Fox News is arguing that Fox Corp. leaders Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch played a leading role in airing false claims that the technology helped “steal” the 2020 presidential election from former President Donald Trump.

Smartmatic said the Murdochs, as the ultimate authorities at the network’s corporate parent, “directed Fox News Network to embrace disinformation following the 2020 U.S. election as a business decision.”

“Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch were front and center in the decision to cover and facilitate the disinformation campaign published by Fox News after the 2020 U.S. election,” Smartmatic said in its Monday filing, part of its defamation case against the top-rated conservative network.

Fox News and Fox Corp. did not immediately return messages sent Tuesday seeking comment on the claims, which are based on news reports and filings in a separate defamation case against the network by a voting machine manufacturer, Dominion Voting Systems.

In a recently unsealed filing in the Dominion case, Rupert Murdoch acknowledged that he didn’t stop various Fox News commentators from promoting unfounded claims from Trump allies that the election was stolen, even though he could have. He also acknowledged that some of the network’s hosts — Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro and Sean Hannity — at times endorsed the false claims.

Demonstrators besieged the parliament in Tbilisi over proposed laws on “foreign agents”

Riot police in Tbilisi deployed tear gas and water cannons late on Tuesday to disperse demonstrators besieging the Georgian parliament in protest over bills that wouldrestrict the activities of foreign-funded organizations. (Color Revolution Again. What populace has a riot over a law that would protect the country? Lots of Nazis flooding the EU))

Though some of the protesters dispersed, live feeds from local TV networks showed thousands still gathered outside the parliament entrance on Rustaveli Avenue, defying police orders to leave or face “legal measures.”

Police eventually advanced on the protesters and pushed them away from the parliament building. By 3 am local time, the crowds had mostly dispersed, according to local media.

Earlier in the day, Georgian lawmakers voted 76-13 in favor of a bill that would mandate all organizations thatreceive more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register as foreign agents.

The other proposal under consideration was patterned after the American FARA, enacted in the 1930s, which would have applied to individuals andincluded criminal penalties. (Soros would be booted, he was behind the plan of the Color Revolution in Ukraine and other countries this year)

Opposition parties denounced the bill as “Russian” in style. They were backed by the US embassy in Tbilisi, which called its passage a “dark day for democracy” in Georgia and said it would “undermine the important work of many Georgian organizations helping fellow citizens.” (There they go again “democracy”)

EU foreign policy head Josep Borrell has also described the proposed bill as contrary to EU values and called on Georgia to support “democracy, rule of law and human rights.”

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who is currently visiting the US (???), endorsed the protests and said she would veto the law if it were to pass in the final reading.

“This law was not needed by anyone, and it does not come from anywhere, if not at the behest of Moscow,” she said in a video address from New York. “I do not care about its article-by-article discussion, its similarity to the old American law, which we well know serves a completely different purpose.”

The Georgian constitution, Zurabishvili continued, says the government’s principal obligation is “to bring this country to the European Union, to protect the path of European integration,” and the law in question is “taking us all away from Europe.”

Born in France,Zurabishvili was the French ambassador to Tbilisi in 2004, when the US-backed “Rose Revolution” brought Mikhail Saakashvili to power. She quickly received Georgian citizenship and became the country’s foreign minister. The ruling Georgian Dream party – which ousted Saakashvili in 2012 – endorsed Zurabishvili in the 2018 presidential election, but they have since fallen out. As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, Biden keeps sending military equipment and ammunition to Ukraine. There is no end in sight, and Biden has even said as much.

Yet here in the United States, arms manufacturers can’t keep up with demand, and our own armed forces are already running dangerously low.

At what point does someone in Washington step up and demand that our own national defense is at risk?

Jed Babbin writes at the American Spectator:

Biden has sent roughly one-third of our Javelin anti-tank missiles and one third of our Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine. Ukraine is expending those weapons and others faster than we can manufacture them.

We normally produce between 1,000 and 2,100 Javelins each year. The Army is trying to get industry to up the rate to 4,000 each year. Faint hope.

By some estimates, Ukraine is firing six to seven thousand 155 mm artillery shells every day. At that rate, they could expend the entirety of Britain’s stockpile of NATO-standard 155 mm shells in just eight days. Ammunition for the U.S. HIMARS (high-mobility artillery rocket system) and other munitions are also being expended at tremendous rates.

The problem we are having is that, despite some efforts to stimulate production in the U.S., the supply is lagging far behind the demand.

According to a Center for Strategic and International Studies report I mentioned last week,some credible estimates are that we would run out of ammunition — missiles, artillery shells, etc. — in one weekif the Chinese attacked Taiwan at this point and if — a big “if” — Biden decided to defend Taiwan. He has said we would do so four times and each time his cabinet has assured the Taiwanese that we hadn’t changed our “One China” policy, which means we wouldn’t defend Taiwan.

The problem is greatly exacerbated by supply chain problems. A friend of mine who is the CEO of a medium-sized aerospace firm that produces, among other things, radar systems told methat parts he orders today can’t be delivered for at least eighteen months.

U.S. Army officials are in the process of ramping up production to overcome challenges associated with replenishing domestic stockpiles of munitions that were either sold to Ukraine or would be needed for a potential fight in the Indo-Pacific, according to Assistant Secretary of the Army Douglas Bush.

The Army is “now in execution mode,” ramping up production to refill quickly draining stockpiles,although production timelines for many munitions have been complicated by complex supply chains and security requirements, according to Bush.

He also said that it’s impossible to tell just what the United States’ needs would be in the future because of the open-ended nature of the war in Ukraine, although requirements would likely be higher due to increased international tensions.

“The long-term challenge will be how much of that capacity can we sustain over time, post-conflict,” Bush said. “We don’t know how long the conflict will last. We don’t know how low our stocks will be.”

The United States cannot ignore our own national security concerns while sending an endless supply of weapons and ammo to Ukraine.

The Biden administration is putting America’s safety at risk.

WASHINGTON — New intelligence reviewed by U.S. officials suggests that a pro-Ukrainian group carried out the attack on the Nord Stream pipelines last year, a step toward determining responsibility for an act of sabotage that has confounded investigators on both sides of the Atlantic for months.

U.S. officials said that they had no evidence President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine or his top lieutenants were involved in the operation, or that the perpetrators were acting at the direction of any Ukrainian government officials.

The brazen attack on the natural gas pipelines, which link Russia to Western Europe, fueled public speculation about who was to blame, from Moscow to Kyiv and London to Washington, and it has remained one of the most consequential unsolved mysteries of Russia’s year-old war in Ukraine.

Ukraine and its allies have been seen by some officials as having the most logical potential motive to attack the pipelines. They have opposed the project for years, calling it a national security threat because it would allow Russia to sell gas more easily to Europe.

Ukrainian government and military intelligence officials say they had no role in the attack and do not know who carried it out. After this article was published, Mykhailo Podolyak, a senior adviser to Mr. Zelensky, posted on Twitter that Ukraine “has nothing to do with the Baltic Sea mishap.” He added that he had no information about pro-Ukrainian “sabotage groups.”

U.S. officials said there was much they did not know about the perpetrators and their affiliations. The review of newly collected intelligence suggests they were opponents of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, but does not specify the members of the group, or who directed or paid for the operation.

U.S. officials declined to disclose the nature of the intelligence, how it was obtained or any details of the strength of the evidence it contains. They have said that there are no firm conclusions about it, leaving open the possibility that the operation might have been conducted off the books by a proxy force with connections to the Ukrainian government or its security services.

Some initial U.S. and European speculation centered on possible Russian culpability, especially given its prowess in undersea operations, though it is unclear what motivation the Kremlin would have in sabotaging the pipelines given that they have been an important source of revenue and a means for Moscow to exert influence over Europe. One estimate put the cost of repairing the pipelines starting at about $500 million. U.S. officials say they have not found any evidence of involvement by the Russian government in the attack.

Officials who have reviewed the intelligence said they believed the saboteurs were most likely Ukrainian or Russian nationals, or some combination of the two. U.S. officials said no American or British nationals were involved.

The pipelines were ripped apart by deep sea explosions in September, in what U.S. officials described at the time as an act of sabotage. European officials have publicly said they believe the operation that targeted Nord Stream was probably state sponsored, possibly because of the sophistication with which the perpetrators planted and detonated the explosives on the floor of the Baltic Sea without being detected. U.S. officials have not stated publicly that they believe the operation was sponsored by a state.

The explosives were most likely planted with the help of experienced divers who did not appear to be working for military or intelligence services, U.S. officials who have reviewed the new intelligence said. But it is possible that the perpetrators received specialized government training in the past.

Green Bay Packer offensive tackle David Bakhtiari challenged the left-wing establishment media for a second time in a week on Monday when he called on journalists to stop “withholding the truth” from people.

The New York Post reported former CNN CEO Jeff Zucker instructed network staffers to stay away from commenting on the probability the COVID pandemic began after the virus escaped a lab in China.

According to a source the Post described as close to CNN, Zucker had called any notion the virus escaped the Wuhan Lab of Virology a “Trump talking point” during the early days of the pandemic.

Since CNN’s former boss reportedly handed down an order to steer reporting away from the lab leak theory, we’ve learned some government officials believe the lab was a likely source of the virus.

The Wall Street Journal reported last week that the Department of Energy concluded the lab was “most likely” the culprit of the pandemic.

The department made the judgment on the lab leak theory with “low confidence” after reviewing new classified evidence, according to the report.

Bakhtiari defended his teammate Aaron Rodgers last week after late-night far-left talking head Jimmy Kimmel implied anyone who might be interested in seeing Jeffrey Epstein’s list of clients is a “tinfoil-hatter.”

Rodgers told radio host Pat McAfee last week he felt the timing of unidentified objects that were shot down over the continent last week was “interesting.”

Kimmel said of Rodgers, “It might be time to revisit that concussion protocol.”

House Democrats Lied About Whistleblower In Leak To Corrupt Media

House Democrats lied when they said an investigation into an FBI whistleblower’s claim of retaliation had been dismissed, according to a letter obtained exclusively by The Federalist. On the contrary, an investigation into Special Agent Steve Friend’s claims is ongoing.

Last week, Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee leaked a “staff report” that contained numerous misrepresentations to The New York Times, Monday’s letter to Inspector General Michael Horowitz said. The letter — signed by Tristan Leavitt, the president of Empower Oversight, the legal services firm representing Friend — began by condemning the “Forward” from committee ranking member Jerry Nadler and subcommittee ranking member Stacey Plaskett that declared by fiat and without evidence: “[T]he three individuals we have met [including Friend] are not, in fact, ‘whistleblowers.’”

Friend is indeed a whistleblower, the letter said. Not only that, but throughout the report that Democrats crafted and peddled to multiple media outlets, they falsely and repeatedly claimed the Office of Inspector General (OIG) had rejected Friend’s whistleblower retaliation claims, Leavitt stressed. “These mischaracterizations in the Democrat staff report were subsequently parroted by multiple media outlets,” including CNN and The Washington Post.

Contrary to the Democrats’ claims, echoed by friendly media outlets, Leavitt’s letter says that Friend’s whistleblower retaliation complaint, originally filed in September 2022, remains pending with the DOJ’s inspector general. While Friend had also alleged “systematic abuses of the Constitution, laws, and policy by the FBI,” in December of 2022, those allegations were referred to the FBI’s Inspection Division. But in follow-up inquiries, the OIG made clear, according to Empower Oversight, that the referral did not apply to Friend’s whistleblower retaliation claims.

In fact, since then, “Special Agent Friend and Empower Oversight continued to furnish additional information” to the OIG, and the inspector general continues to receive and evaluate information, the letter said, explaining the attorneys’ understanding of the investigation’s status. Friend’s attorneys said they understood the OIG intended “to interview Friend in order to obtain a more complete understanding of his allegations and fully assess both his underlying disclosures as well as his retaliation claims.”

Yet some media, without seeking comment from the OIG, “uncritically repeated” Democrats’ false narrative that the inspector general had rejected Friend’s claims. Conversely, when other outlets sought comment and clarification on the status of Friend’s case, Horowitz remained silent.

“This suggests a disturbing situation in which your office’s silence is allowing its reputation for neutrality and objectivity to be hijacked by partisans and their media allies to leave a false impression with the public — all in the service of undermining a whistleblower for political purposes,” Leavitt wrote.

Given the inspector general’s silence, Empower Oversight requested an update on the status of his office’s investigation into Friend’s whistleblower retaliation complaint — something his attorneys should not have to request. But given the Democrats’ lies, apparently it’s necessary to correct the record.

Monday’s letter also chastised House Democrats for leaking excerpts of Friend’s deposition transcripts, “without authorization of the Committee.” This was in violation of the committee’s representation to Friend that it would treat the transcripts “confidentially,” the letter added.

The leaks will likely continue, however; and sadly, so will the blatant lies.

Last Friday the House Judiciary Democrats released a staff report assessing testimony provided by three FBI whistleblowers to Republican members of the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. Overall, as expected, the Democrat report is a partisan hit job.

The report is the political equivalent of a gangland drive-by. But, just like the marauding criminals that infest Democrat-controlled major metropolitan centers, a ricochet or two drew blood.

In the pertinent part, the partisan report makes three claims. First, retired supervisory intelligence analyst George Hill, former special agent Garret O’Boyle, and former special agent Steve Friend do not meet the statutory definition of “whistleblower.” Second, no evidence of wrongdoing has been presented. And third, the three whistleblowers have expressed “extremist” views on the January 6th protests, about the FBI in general, and with regard to Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee to include its chair, Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Legacy media outlets were quick to pounce on all the most sensational claims made by the Democrat staff report, and the last few days have produced a torrent of debate. But, the debate is a good thing so long as it results in the maintenance of liberty.

It’s entirely appropriate for the House Judiciary Committee to investigate the claims of whistleblowers, despite the conclusions drawn by the Office of Inspector General and the Office of Special Counsel. Furthermore, it’s not incumbent on the whistleblowers to provide incontrovertible evidence of their claims. The function of a whistleblower is to bring attention to abuses of power, so that the appropriate mechanism of redress and reform may be brought to bear.

Last night, FoxNews personality Tucker Carlson released the first of 44,000 hours of surveillance and body camera video covering the January 6 demonstration in the US Capitol. This video has been in the possession of the “Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.” My colleague Nickarama gave a terrific rundown of the video released by Carlson (Tucker Releases Clips That Blow up the Jan. 6 Narrative). What last night’s clips show is that several of the narratives pushed by the January 6 star chamber were blatant lies.

One of the many egregious lies was the slander of Georgia Representative Barry Loudermilk.

In March 2021, one of the prosecutors in the coming show trials, Michael Sherwin, claimed that the government investigators who had skipped completely over Ray Epps and the mysterious pipe-bomber were now investigating really important stuff like the possibility that some of the demonstrators may have legally visited the US Capitol.

On May 19, 2022, the leadership of the silly little kangaroo court investigating the “insurrection” on January 6 sent Rep. Loudermilk a letter alleging that he led a “reconnaissance” tour of the Capitol on January 5 and demanding answers.

The leaders of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol asked a Republican congressman on Thursday to submit to questioning about a tour of the complex he gave one day before the riot, saying they were looking into whether rioters had conducted reconnaissance of the building before the rampage.

In a Thursday letter to Representative Barry Loudermilk, the top two members of the panel said investigators had obtained evidence that the Georgia Republican had led a tour through parts of the Capitol complex on Jan. 5, 2021, when it was closed to visitors because of pandemic restrictions. Mr. Loudermilk has denied having led any “reconnaissance” tour.

“Public reporting and witness accounts indicate some individuals and groups engaged in efforts to gather information about the layout of the U.S. Capitol, as well as the House and Senate office buildings, in advance of Jan. 6, 2021,” said a letter to Mr. Loudermilk from Representative Bennie Thompson, Democrat of Mississippi and the chairman of the panel, and Representative Liz Cheney, Republican of Wyoming and the vice chairwoman.

They did not directly allege that any person escorted by Mr. Loudermilk later attacked the Capitol. But they suggested that they had obtained evidence that he had led visitors around the complex, writing that their review of evidence “directly contradicts” Republicans’ denials that closed-circuit security camera footage showed no such tours had taken place.

The funny thing is that the letters the January 6 goobers sent to Loudermilk were never sent to him. They were just released to the press.

Loudermilk and other conservatives have accused the Jan. 6 Committee of using the footage to mislead the public and turn people against him. Wednesday night, he released a compilation of threatening phone calls his office has received and accused the committee of putting his safety in jeopardy.

“Once again, instead of contacting me directly, the committee has released carefully edited and select information to the press, with the clear intention of creating a false narrative about the visit to my office by constituents on January 5, 2021,” the Cassville Republican said in a statement. “I, my family, and my staff continue to receive serious threats of violence. I hold the J6 committee members and their staff directly responsible for these unfounded accusations and threats.”

The committee has written Loudermilk two letters asking him to answer questions on the record about the tour, but his office tells us the letters were not sent to him directly and therefore they have nothing to respond to.

But to some Democrats, the footage alone confirmed what they feared all along. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, of New Jersey, was among the members who in the weeks immediately after the insurrection raised concerns that Republicans may have aided rioters by conducting “reconnaissance tours.”

It’s a local Florida story and multi-faceted. However, for the bigger national audience the issue that should be considered is thatRon DeSantis and the Florida Republican party took $9+ million in campaign contributions from state energy providers, then approved the biggest electricity rate hikes in Florida.

Additionally, and more obscure in the outcome, thePublic Service Commission (Public Utility Commission, or PUC), after being filled with DeSantis appointees, informed the electricity providers they no longer needed to report the number of residents who were disconnected from utility service due to nonpayment.

One could make the intellectual and political argument, the scale of disconnection -which is quite alarming- would be averse to the interests of Governor DeSantis seeking a higher office.

Like much of the country,electricity rates in Florida have skyrocketed with the increase in natural gas prices. However, unlike much of the country, most Florida residents have only one option for electrical utility power. The rate of disconnection in Florida amid lower income and working families is far greater than almost any other state.Florida is quickly becoming a class-driven society with haves and have-nots.

FLORIDA – […] In November 2021, Florida’s Public Service Commission (PUC) issued a memorandum allowing electric utilities to stop disclosing their shutoff data. The memorandum, which reversed the commission’s September 2020 decision to collect the data to track the pandemic’s effects on utility customers, came after DeSantis stacked the board with his appointees. The move came less than a month after commission members approved the largest electric rate hike in Florida’s history, resulting in a 20 percent increase in costs to residential ratepayers.

Now it’s impossible to know how many customers have been disconnected from their electric utilities for being unable to pay their increasing power bills. If that disconnection rate continued, noted the report, NextEra would have shut off 1.2 million customers in 2022. But we do not know the total, because the DeSantis-appointed Florida PUC allowed them to hide the data.

One of the reasons I became confident last year that RonDeSantis was planning a 2024 presidential bid, was the one-and-done-nature of his focus.

Florida working class residents are under extreme economic duress as a result of unavoidableincreases in energy costs (home cooling), massive increases in insurance costs (tripling of homeowners, doubling of auto), skyrocketing housing costs (largest in nation).

Throughout 2022 GovernorDeSantis focused almost exclusively on social issue constructs, and the economic policies of Florida -while more challenging to address- have been exclusively unattended. From the 30,000 ft level, the disconnect in executive priority becomes more explainable when you consider the management team was assembling apolicy strategy for media and public consumption.

Throughout my research and review on the managers and background of DeSantis team, it just became obvious (mid-summer ’22) there was a longer-term plan in the background, created in the latter part of 2021 and everything thereafter -asevere emphasis on social issues- was a political management and national branding approach. If you overlay the hindsight timelines, including the PUC story, one can see the proactive political construct to control any negative issues.

Lena Cronqvist’s supposedly artistic world depicts naked adults alongside children and infants being gutted or placed in jars, and the artist has no qualms about placing herself in these truly morbid scenes. Ugh, it makes me sick to see these schemes as they are constructed and yet feel helpless to stop them from organizing. Remember which media outlets push the PR campaigns of the U.S. Govt. (1) CNN drives Dept of State; (2) Washington Post drives CIA; and (3) NYT/Politico advance the interests of the domestic intelligence apparatus.

With that in mind, here comes the Intelligence Community laying the groundwork for reauthorization of the FISA-702 surveillance system on American citizens.

They are so damned transparent in their agenda, the stenographers have even dropped “FISA,” the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, as the term within the construct. Now they are just calling it “702 reauthorization.”

(VIA POLITICO) – The intelligence community has a critical congressional ally in its bid to reauthorize a sweeping warrantless surveillance program. However, even he thinks its officials aren’t making a convincing enough case.

“One of the things the community’s got to do a better job of is explaining, in practical non-classified terms, how valuable this tool is,” Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Mark Warner (D-Va.) said in a recent brief interview. “And they’ve not done that as well as they should.”

Warner sits at the heart of what will be a months-long, knockout debate about whether to reauthorize the warrantless surveillance program, known as Section 702, by the end-of-year deadline. The program is designed to gather the electronic communications of foreigners abroad, but has the potential to sweep up those of Americans.

The Virginian, who argues continuing the program in some form is essential but is open to changes, will have his work cut out for him. Influential and newly emboldened House Republicans have made it clear they won’t let Section 702 stay alive without significant changes — if they support reauthorization at all — amid an all-time-low relationship with the Justice Department and the FBI.

And the intelligence community can also count Section 702 critics among House Democrats and senators in both parties, many of whom believe this is their best chance to force more limits on the program. (read more

As most people are now aware, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) sits at the epicenter of how the surveillance state is weaponized against American citizens. It is the SSCI who helped create the surveillance network, and it is the SSCI who now seek to defend the unconstitutional system they have created.

Pretenses are being dropped, and you will note how in this reauthorization schedule they are dropping “foreign” communication with American citizens, as a limitation on the authority they have already usurped. Yes, it is factually true the ‘foreign’ aspect was always a ruse, a false premise, that granted the Dept of Justice, National Security Division (DOJ-NSD), and FBI legal authority to conduct intrusive Title-1 surveillance on any American citizen.

Well beyond the “cell phone metadata,” in the era of your portable transponder having internet and social media connection, just about everyone has metadata connected to a foreign person or entity. TicTok? Fughetaboudit. The auspices of only looking at U.S. persons engaged in foreign contacts is totally moot.

The “702 authorities,” which is an innocuous term for a “U.S. Person“,permit DHS, DOJ, FBI and any national security apparatchik to open up your data and check you out. This is the reality of the modern era. This total surveillance reauthorization is what the SSCI wants to permit.It must be stopped completely. It cannot be “reformed.”

4th Amendment – “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Either you are secure from federal search of your “private papers,” as outlined in the United States Constitution, or you are not.

There is no aspect of this “702” nonsense, where a secret court grants a secret authorization, to engage in secret surveillance, by some secret entity of government – which might be a contractor, just to “see if” you might be doing something suspicious, or against the interests of the federal government.The premise behind “702” reauthorization is unconstitutional.

How strongly do I feel about this?

I will openly campaign against any politician or candidatewho does not fully endorse the elimination of FISA 702 Authorization in sum and total. I don’t care who the candidate is, or what his/her political affiliation might be.

I am sick and tired of having to construct communication systems, to engage in ordinary conversation and/or communication, knowing the biggest challenge is to construct the system to defend ordinary people against unconstitutional searches and seizures.Ironically, this includes the very commenting system you are using to share any opinion of this outline. This domestic surveillance system just needs to be stopped.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration is preparing to relax COVID-19 testing restrictions for travelers from China as soon as Friday, according to two people familiar with the decision.

The people, who were not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the administration has decided to roll back the testing requirements as cases, hospitalizations and deaths are declining in China and the U.S. has gathered better information about the surge.

The restrictions were put in place on Dec. 28 and took effect on Jan. 5 amid a surge in infections in China after the nation sharply eased pandemic restrictions and as U.S. health officials expressed concerns that their Chinese counterparts were not being truthful to the world about the true number of infections and deaths.

At the time, U.S. officials also said the restriction was necessary to protect U.S. citizens and communities because there was a lack of transparency from the Chinese government about the size of the surge or the variants that were circulating within China.

As part of its response, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier this year expanded genomic surveillance at several U.S. airports, collecting voluntary samples from passengers aboard hundreds of weekly flights from China, and the testing of wastewater aboard airplanes.
