Auditors have discovered hundreds of artifacts have vanished from two Canadian museums, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.

“Inventory verifications were performed on an ad hoc basis and there were no plans to resolve any problems uncovered in these verifications including missing items,” said Auditor General Karen Hogan in a report.

The audit targeted corporate managers of the Canadian Museum of History at Gatineau, QC, and the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.

“We were particularly concerned the corporation did not have robust inventory management systems and practices which put the safeguarding of its collections containing over four million objects at risk,” said Hogan.

“There were no action plans to deal with issues such as more than 300 items lacking proper storage, more than 15,000 items lacking source information and over 800 missing items identified in some inventory verifications.”

Auditors did not describe the missing artifacts. Hogan said several were deemed to be “of great historical significance.”

It was the worst audit of its kind since a 2019 investigation found Library and Archives Canada stored collections on loading docks after it ran out of filing cabinets. Library and Archives Canada called this “inadequate.”

“There is room for improvement,” it said.

An archives facility in Renfrew, ON, had staff begin stacking 80,000 maps and other documents on loading docks after they ran out of storage space. Historic records from Canadian contractor Dominion Bridge Co. were stored on a loading dock at the Renfrew building because of a lack of space.

“All the specialized filing cabinets in the Renfrew building were already filled to capacity,” said Library and Archives Canada.

Museums need to educate Canadians on climate change, equity, diversity and inclusion, according to a March report conducted by Canadian Heritage.

“Museums are colonial institutions,” said Canadian Heritage.

“Museums are part of the colonial legacy.”

BMO Capital Markets and TD Securities said despite current expenditures, the $30.9 billion project is still expected to generate earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of more than $2.4 billion annually.

Despite Trans Mountain quadrupling its costs since 2018, several Indigenous nations and organizations have expressed interest in purchasing a stake in the Crown-owned pipeline.

"It means the entire pie for the project is smaller," said Paul Poscente, Executive Director of Nesika Services. "We've done some modelling based on the publicly available information, and it's absolutely still viable."

"We believe Canada can sell a portion of this pipeline to Indigenous communities commercially. We have been urging Canada to start a negotiation."

Project Reconciliation managing director Stephen Mason also said his group isn't going away.

A convicted sex offender who lived at a childcare centre for kids with autism before he was arrested in July was released on bail on Friday.

This is the second time 42-year-old Lauriston Charles Maloney has been released from jail despite a lengthy list of criminal charges – including charges related to trafficking minors for sex.

Mark Ruffolo, the sex offender’s lawyer, argued that his client hadn’t had a previous offence since 2013 and alleged that his charges were more suited to be settled in a labour court.

Justice Douglas Conley, who is presiding over the case, disagreed with both of Ruffolo’s claims, stating that human trafficking is not akin to a labour dispute and that Maloney’s 2013 charges were of a similar nature.

Despite this, Conley granted Maloney bail with conditions. Maloney will be required to wear an ankle bracelet and reside in Brampton with his father as part of his conditions.

News broke this week that Germany had acquired 50 Leopard 1 tanks from a Belgian company, of which around 30 will shortly be refitted for use by the Ukrainian military, bolstering Western-made tank capabilities for the nation. The Netherlands and Denmark in April pledged 14 more Leopard 2 tanks to be delivered in early 2024, while the US is aiming to deliver a first batch of M1 Abrams tanks in the fall.

Statista's Katharina Buchholz reports that, as of August 2023, Ukraine had received more than 70 Leopard 2 tanks from Western militaries, including close to a whole battalion from Poland, as well as 14 Challenger 2 tanks from the United Kingdom.

Other large Leopard 2 deliveries came from Germany (18 of the coveted 2A6 model ), Spain (10) and Sweden (10 vehicles of the Strv 122 designation, the Swedish version of the Leopard 2).

Three more Leopards 2A6 came from Portugal. Including Russian-make tanks and other older models , countries have donated even more tanks to Ukraine, especially Poland.

31 tanks are needed for one Ukrainian tank battalion.

Together with the promised delivery, Ukraine's total would stand at 91 Leopard 2 and 14 Challenger 2.

When first announced earlier in the year, the US said it would also send one full battalion.

The latest demented idea being pushed to stop the world ending from climate armageddon is to catch an asteroid, put an umbrella on it and use it to block out the Sun.

István Szapudi, an astronomer from the University of Hawaiʻi, argued his far-fetched concept was merely an enormous ‘solar shield’.

The shield – which would be made of the ultra strong ‘wonder material’ graphene – would block energy from the sun and cool down our planet.

Szapudi’s paper on the subject has been published by Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“In Hawaiʻi, many use an umbrella to block the sunlight as they walk about during the day,” Szapudi said, adding “I was thinking, could we do the same for Earth and thereby mitigate the impending catastrophe of climate change?”

Genius.

There’s no real explanation of how one goes about catching an asteroid spinning at thousands of miles an hour through space though, or how to then manoeuvre it into a stable position to attach un umbrella to it.

Minor details can be ironed out later perhaps.

This past April, Grus’ lawyer Bath-shéba van den Berg unsuccessfully argued at the Police Services Act tribunal for access to this evidence and to subpoena a local CBC News reporter to determine the source of an internal OPS leak that fueled reportage that van den Berg maintains precipitated formal charges against her client.

Grus’ official charge reads that she “acted in a disorderly manner prejudicial to discipline or likely to bring discredit upon the reputation of OPS (in a) self-initiated, unauthorized project” by accessing the infant death cases and attempting to determine the Covid vaccine status of a mother. At the April hearing, van den Berg disputed that this behaviour amounted to a breach of the Police Services Act.

“Ultimately the allegations in the discreditable conduct charge must answer the question precisely: what is it that Detective Grus is supposed to have done that was unlawful? Pursuant to what section of the OPS policy?” asked van den Berg at the April 28, 2023 motion hearing.

Calling the plan "well-intentioned yet dangerous," Mozilla warns that the French government is plowing ahead with plans to force web browsers like Firefox "to create a dystopian technical capability" allowing bureaucrats to regulate what people see online.

"Article 6 (para II and III) of the SREN Bill would force browser providers to create the means to mandatorily block websites present on a government provided list," Mozilla explains about the plan.

"A world in which browsers can be forced to incorporate a list of banned websites at the software-level that simply do not open, either in a region or globally, is a worrying prospect that raises serious concerns around freedom of expression. Residents of the Town of Hay River were instructed to leave their homes immediately on Monday because of a raging wildfire.

"Emergency crews remain on site. All long-term care residents have been transported to Yellowknife and patients medi-vac’d to Yellowknife," the Town of Hay River stated.

Hay River, known as "the Hub of the North," is a town in the Northwest Territories, Canada, located on the south shore of Great Slave Lake.

The town said crews attended to one motor vehicle accident with no serious injuries.

"There are no known missing persons," the Town of Hay River said.

An RJ100 aircraft departed Hay River airport at 11:20 a.m. with 100 seats to take evacuees to Fort McMurray.

The road exiting Hay River is currently not passable and there are no support services for the highway.

The town said it was "critical" that evacuees got on the plane as the road exit is not available and is "uncertain for the foreseeable future."

"A Starlink Wifi is available at KP Woodright courtesy of Arctech and KP Woodright," the Town of Hay River said.

The Hay River Fire Department said it is working jointly to provide structural protection. Firefighters have also been arriving from other areas.

"The spotter airplane will be up to view the location of the edge of the fires. More information on fire location will follow," the Town of Hay River said.

"Four helicopters and water bombers are en route. The western fire guard for Hay River is being expanded."

The Kakisa fire travelled approximately 39 kilometres toward Hay River on Sunday due to high winds.

There was significant structural damage in the Hamlet of Enterprise, Patterson Road area and parts of Paradise Gardens.

"Our thoughts are with those that have lost homes and businesses. Significant damage has also occurred to Northwestel Fibre lines as well as electrical lines south of Patterson Road," the town stated.

The Evacuation Order was issued for all of Hay River, NT due to the risk of a wildfire from the Kakisa-Enterprise area.

"Evacuees should travel to Grande Prairie, Alberta," the Town of Hay River said.

"Evacuees heading to the reception centre in Grande Prairie should be directed to the Alliance Church, 15502 102 St."

Unified Grassroots founder, Nadine Ness, is alleging taxpayer-funded organizations are trying to infiltrate schools with language and goals that align with advocates for adult-child sexual relations.

Ness, leader of a Saskatchewan parents' group, outlined her findings in a YouTube video entitled “Does Planned Parenthood belong in schools?”

The 20-minute presentation began with her own story.

“I was around ten years old when I first stepped foot into a police detachment to give my statement as to the grooming and sexual abuse I had been experiencing up until that point. [The abuser] was arrested. He confessed to everything and he was convicted. To say that this didn't shake my life to some extent would be a lie,” she said.

The event prompted Ness to join the RCMP with the goal of working to prevent child abuse.

“I took specific training on how to profile and interview child sex offenders. We learned about the history of pedophilia in their past attempt at actually normalizing pedophilia into society. We learned about their logos, code language, anything and everything that can be considered relevant."

“One of the organizations we learned about the most was the North American Man Boy Love Association, also known as NAMBLA. They are the biggest known pedophile activist organization in the world. Due to police infiltration, which led to hundreds of arrests, the group doesn't actually meet anymore. However, this doesn't mean that they aren't still active.”

Ness said NAMBLA was ousted from the United Nations, pride parades and the sexual minority community.

“However, many within the community still believe they belong. An example of this would be Gayle Rubin, who wrote the founding document of what is now known as queer theory. This is the exact document that's behind the gender ideology that's coming into our schools. This founding document is littered with pro pedophilia language.”

Ness cited eight goals from NAMBLA in a declassified FBI document.

End the oppression of pedophiles from having what they consider consensual relationship;

Build support networks for pedophiles;

Educate the public on how sex between adults and kids is good and doesn't hurt them;

Work with the LGBTQ movement and anyone who fights for sexual liberation;

Free people of all ages from sexual prejudice and oppression;

Support the rights of all people, including kids, to choose who they have sex with;

Get young people to rebel against anti sexual restrictions and push back against those who impose them…adults, parents, police, moral crusaders, the church and government authorities;

Lower the age of consent and change legislation against the freedom of youth.

Take it, fake it, or face charges. That’s what former 1 Royal Canadian Regiment (1RCR) sniper Cpl. Brett Campbell alleged he was told in the Petawawa base gym where soldiers lined up for ‘mandatory’ COVID-19 vaccines in late 2021.

Campbell claimed he was offered the option to pretend to get jabbed, a move that would have saved his career.

The skilled sniper and infantryman paid a hefty price for refusing the vaccine.

“I will say that cleaning out my locker and leaving my dream career was one of the hardest things I ever did,” said Campbell, released in March 2022.

In October 2021, brass bragged that 90% of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members were vaccinated. Really?

“When they made our appointments, we were told we had to go to them no matter what. I showed up,” said Campbell.

Campbell, who questioned the experimental vaccine’s safety, sat at a desk manned by a medical corporal armed with vaccines.

“I said ‘I don’t want this.’ He said ‘I have to pretend to give it to you. If you don’t do this, it will go back to your chain of command and we’re going to charge you,’” alleged Campbell, not told what the charge was.

“He said ‘You have to hold your sleeve up and I’m going to hold the needle far away.’ I thought ‘Is this guy going to try to jab me while I do that?’ But the needle was empty. I held it up for three seconds. He said, ‘OK you’re good,’” alleged Campbell.

“I felt disgusted with this whole situation.”

Campbell obeyed an order to wait 15 minutes because he’d already been punished for improperly masking, but hadn’t yet decided to leave the military.

While sitting there he repeatedly hollered “I didn’t take it. I didn’t take it.”

“I got so angry. I thought, you are using me to make sure other troops don’t see Cpl. Campbell deny it. Whoever I am doesn’t matter. People would see some other soldier saying no to it and then maybe they would question it.”

He didn’t blame the corporal protecting his own job.

“The guy was probably scared sh*tless. He’s given orders,” Campbell told the Western Standard.

Campbell first made the allegation when he recently appeared with Valour Law attorney Catherine Christensen and former Snowbirds pilot Bart Postma on Dave Morrow’s The Hard to Kill Podcast that addresses health and other military issues.

Rumors of ‘fake’ jabs have been bandied about. If it’s so, anyone who went along with the charade, understandably, would keep the secret. Campbell’s the first to go on record with the claim.

Campbell and Postma are among 330 former and serving members involved in a $500-million class action lawsuit led by St. Albert lawyer Christensen.

A recent survey of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) employees found a desire among some public sector workers to see their fellow colleagues who resisted or even “subtly protested” mandatory anti-racism training fired or not hired to the department in the first place.

Last year, IRCC hired Pollara Strategic Insights to conduct an Anti-Racism Employee Qualitative Research survey for $99,779.

The resulting report was delivered to the federal government at the end of March and recently published to the Government of Canada website. The study consisted of 15 focus groups and 6 interviews with 62 employees at IRCC.

One of the primary takeaways was that the government take steps to make “anti-racism values” a “prerequisite for hiring and promotions.”

“Many add that this must be backed by a willingness to remove employees who do not meet these criteria,” wrote the report’s authors.

One survey participant complained that they were “not convinced” the government was taking anti-racism seriously because there were people who reacted negatively to training which made them “hardline racists” according to the anonymous IRCC employee.

“There are some people who are true hardline racists. It’s the way they react, subtly protesting things,” said the anonymous IRCC worker.

Another IRCC employee said that “some people need to be taken out” for not complying with the federal government’s anti-racism mandate.

“Some people do need to be fired, not just, ‘Oh, let’s go train.’ If you are a problem, you are a legal liability, and some people need to be taken out,” said another IRCC employee.

“There are people who are extremely cynical. I see it in the trainings. We need to weed those people out. If you don’t support this, don’t work at our department,” a different interviewee claimed. Continue...

After the outbreak took place, the CDC reported results from surveys sent to attendees.

While the CDC said that 181 respondents reported testing positive for COVID-19, that number was actually 183, according to the newly obtained files.

The public health agency also failed to disclose that hundreds of attendees didn’t get tested; some 601 attendees who responded to the survey said they didn’t get tested for COVID-19, the files show, including 34 who reported experiencing COVID-like symptoms, being ill, or both.

A woman from Quebec who in 2020 sent ricin-laced letters to then-president Donald Trump and eight Texas law enforcement officials has been sentenced to 22 years. While the poisoned packages were intercepted before they could reach their intended targets, 55-year-old Pascale Cecile Veronique Ferrier was hit with a slew of biological weapons charges.

She pleaded guilty on all nine counts earlier this year and agreed to the prison term as part of a plea deal, but it was only on Thursday that US District Court Judge Dabney L Friedrich signed off, making it official.

Ferrier sent the letters to Trump and the Texas officials in September 2020, just two months before the election. Along with poison, she included a note instructing Trump to "[g]ive up and remove [his] application for this election." Around the same time, she posted threats against the president on Twitter, calling for someone to "please shoot [him] in the face."

She was arrested that same month while attempting to cross from Canada into the United States via the Peace Bridge, which connects Buffalo, New York with Fort Eerie, Ontario. Border Patrol officers confiscated "a loaded firearm, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and other weapons."

As for the eight Texas law enforcement officials, Ferrier was detained in the state for ten months in 2019, and accused them of playing a role in the duration of her detention.

The eight counts that stemmed from their targeting were originally set to be handled by a Texas court, however Ferrier eventually agreed to move them up to Washington, DC, where the first count was being prosecuted.

Ferrier, who is a dual citizen of France and Canada, admitted to making the poison herself at her home in Quebec. The chemical is naturally found in castor beans, and has a lethal dose of around 10 micrograms per kilogram of body weight.

Saskatchewan’s electricity regulator says achieving the Liberal government’s 2035 target year to decarbonize the province’s electricity grid is impossible.

According to an interview with the outlet Pipeline Online, SaskPower spokesperson Scott McGregor said that the Clean Electricity Regulations unveiled by Liberal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault last week were unfeasible in every aspect.

“SaskPower is working as fast as it can to decarbonize the power grid while also providing reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective power,” McGregor told the outlet.

“We’re committed to achieving a net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions power system and we’re on track to do so by 2050 or earlier. A Starbucks manager who was previously awarded $25 million in a wrongful termination lawsuit was awarded an additional $2.7 million in damages.

Shannon Phillips was fired in 2018 after baristas at a Philly location refused to allow two black men to use the restroom since they were not paying customers.

At the time, Starbucks had a policy in place that prohibited non-paying customers from using their restrooms.

In April 2018, two black men, Rashon Nelson, and Donte Robinson, sat inside a Starbucks in Philly while they waited for a friend to arrive.

A Starbucks employee denied one of the black men permission to use the restroom since he was not a paying customer.

Starbucks staff ended up calling the police after things escalated and the two men refused to leave the cafe.

Of course, BLM and other agitators showed up to the Philly Starbucks branch after the two black men were arrested for ‘trespassing.’

Starbucks bent over backward to apologize to the two black men, ordered all 175,000 employees to undergo racial bias training, and opened up their bathrooms to everyone.

A local state of emergency has been declared by the St. Mary’s First Nation in New Brunswick due to an ongoing drug crisis in the community.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the St. Mary’s First Nation states that the community is in danger, in particular its youth, due to a spike in illegal drug-related activity.

The First Nation community said the next 48 hours are critical following the emergency declaration, which is effective immediately. They are also asking for the full cooperating of the community during this time.

The post was signed by the chief and council and said that “escalating risks due to illegal drug activity which endangers the safety and wellbeing of our citizens, particularly our youth.”

Psychologist and former University of Toronto professor Dr. Jordan Peterson was ordered by the Ontario College of Psychologists to undergo a reeducation training program over his social media posts that uphold free speech and speak out against gender ideology and medical mistreatment of minors in service to the lie that humans can change sex.

He received a great deal of support in his quest to not have to undergo reeducation to retain his license, and hundreds rallied on his behalf. Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre also backed Peterson against the authoritarian overreach of the Ontario College of Psychologists, who took the word of people who claimed they where "harmed" by simply seeing Peterson's remarks online as proof of "harm."

Peterson spoke about the upcoming verdict a day before it was levied, saying "The decision of an Ontario court re the allegations levied against me by @CPOntario is due tomorrow. I stand by what I have said and done and wish them luck in their continued prosecution. They're going to need it. I tweeted and otherwise expressed my opposition to trans surgery butchery, @JustinTrudeau and his minions, and the lying climate apocalypse-mongers. All that's looking pretty good from my end. And if I can't express such opinions in Canada, I will let the world know."

He further said that "I will video-record all further hearings and "Mandatory re-education training courses" And broadcast them unedited on @YouTube for the world to see. I swear it by all that is holy."

Peterson applied for a judicial review, stating that the professional body had no say in his online commentary, which has made him a well-known name in conservative and free speech circles. A request for financial reimbursement from Prince Edwards Island’s electricity supplier has been denied by the federal government in the aftermath of tropical storm Fiona.

Maritime Electric, the province’s electricity supplier, spent around $36 million in post-storm cleanup and restoration costs after hurricane Fiona. The money spent covered materials to repair lines, labour and accommodations and food for those who came in to help from outside the province.

Premier Dennis King said that Ottawa had previously agreed to cover Maritime Electric’s spending in relation to storm cleanup last November.

The costs were supposed to be covered under the Disaster Financial Assistance Program (DFAA), however on Tuesday, Ottawa confirmed that they would not be reimbursing those costs. It will likely be consumers in P.E.I. who will now be responsible for dealing with the expenses.

“Unless we find a way to deal with this, it’s going to be tough news for Islanders to hear, and it’s very tough news for me to hear,” said King. “I was quite disappointed that that’s the case.”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had initially promised to cover the expenses under the DFAA program in October 2022. The program is designed to have disaster costs paid out at 90% from the federal government and the remaining 10% to be covered by provincial governments. Continue...

Energy analysts are predicting that Canada will reach record growth when it comes to the production of Canadian crude oil over the next two years.

Largely driven by oil sands production, Canada is expected to add 8% to total oil output by 2025.

That amounts to an increase of 375,000 barrels per day which is more than the sector has been able to grow over the past five years combined.

Canada Energy Regulator data shows that last year Canada produced an average of 4.86 million barrels per day, with predicted growth that figure should reach 5 million by 2025.

“Companies can finally say things have recovered enough in the industry that we can maintain returns to shareholders and put some money into production growth,” said RBN Energy analyst Martin King.

Renowned psychologist Jordan Peterson will appeal the Ontario Superior Court’s ruling that he must undergo mandatory social media training in order to keep his licence with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

The college is forcing Peterson to undergo a social media training course as a punishment for complaints they had received regarding some of Peterson’s social and political commentary online.

“I’m stunned by the court ruling,” said Peterson in a recent interview with the Toronto Sun. “It’s a funny kind of disappointment, because I’m disappointed more as a citizen of Canada than the personal side.”

Peterson asked for a judicial review of the College of Psychologists’ order that he undergo the training, arguing that it was a violation of his freedom of expression however the court ruled in favour of the college on Wednesday.

The controversial tweets Peterson made were comments about certain politicians, a plus-sized model and transgender actor Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page, which resulted in several people complaining to the college that this amounted to professional misconduct and potential harm to the public. “Using a ten-point scale where 10 is a very high level of trust, how much do you trust the following people and organizations?”

Doctors and nurses had a “high trust” rating of 56%, followed by scientists (52%) and family and friends (42%).

According to Blacklock's:

Only 32 percent had “high trust” in the federal government followed by respondents’ provincial government (26 percent), “journalists and reporters working for large media organizations” (18 percent), “ordinary people” (12 percent), “people I follow on social media” (eight percent) and celebrities (eight percent).
