On Thursday, Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist, unleashed a fiery tirade against Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, urging him to take decisive action against the Biden administration.

Bannon’s plea came in response to remarks made by Florida Representative Matt Gaetz on the House floor, where Gaetz criticized the current leadership and hinted at a potential motion to vacate the chair.

On Tuesday, Gaetz referenced the contest for House Speaker in January, stating, “Mr. Speaker, you are out of compliance with the agreement that allowed you to assume this role.” He went on to criticize McCarthy for not holding votes on term limits or balanced budgets and for not releasing the January 6th tapes in full.

Bannon, not one to mince words, began by referencing a GOP meeting this morning in which McCarthy was expected to discuss ongoing investigations. Instead, Bannon accused McCarthy of distracting the public with “shiny toys” and failing to address the pressing issues at hand.

He said, “McCarthy exploded this morning because he sees that even the investigation is not getting him off the hook for what he did to work with Biden and the Uniparty.”

Bannon’s criticism didn’t stop there. He lambasted McCarthy for not taking a more aggressive stance against the Biden administration, especially concerning the national debt and the border crisis. He also took aim at the media, expressing frustration with outlets like Fox News and accusing them of not holding leaders accountable.

Bannon’s main contention revolved around the financial state of the country. He emphasized the need to “force this regime to the table and break them right now” by cutting off their access to the Federal Reserve’s printing press. Bannon argued that the current economic situation is unsustainable and that the Biden administration’s policies are causing harm to both domestic and international allies.

He also touched upon the global implications of the Biden administration’s actions, particularly in relation to China. Bannon accused McCarthy of accepting funds from Sequoia Capital, a venture capital firm, and alleged that such financial ties have led to the U.S. being “sold out” to the Chinese Communist Party.

Bannon’s impassioned plea culminated in a call to action for the Republican Party. He urged leaders to step up, take charge, and confront the challenges facing the nation head-on. Referencing Gaetz’s comments, Bannon said, “Kevin McCarthy is a sad, empathetic man,” suggesting that the current leadership is not up to the task.

The segment ended with Bannon emphasizing the importance of the upcoming budget decisions and the need to address the country’s financial situation immediately.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy held a sudden press conference Tuesday morning where he announced the beginning of impeachment proceedings against Biden. It was a strategic shift that aligned the Republican leader with conservatives in his caucus eager to retaliate against Biden following years of probing his purported corruption.

Bannon, like Gaetz and other Republicans, underscored a deep division within the Republican Party.

California lawmakers face a midnight deadline on Thursday to pass new, proposed laws for the year.

Bills passed are sent to the governor, who then has until Oct. 14 to sign or veto the measures. Here's a look at some of the proposals the Legislature has sent him.

Labor

AB 1 - Allows legislative staff to unionize.

SB 799 - Allows workers on strike for at least two weeks to have access to unemployment benefits.

SB 525 - Raises minimum wage for healthcare workers to $25 an hour over the next few years.

AB 1228 - Raises minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 an hour by April of 2024.

Public Safety

SB 14 - Classifies child sex trafficking as a serious felony to increase prison time for repeat offenders.

AB 701 - Enhances prison time and penalties for high-level, illegal fentanyl dealers carrying at least a kilo of the drug.

SB 2 - Sets new limits for concealed carry firearms in response to the U.S. Supreme Court's Bruen decision.

Gender, race, and ethnicity

AB 1078 - Prevents California public school systems from banning books on gender and race.

AB 957 - Requires judges in California to consider a parent's affirmation of their child's gender identity in child custody disputes.

AB 5 - Establishes the Safe and Supportive Schools Act, establishing required training for public school staff and teachers on supporting LGBTQ students.

SB 403 - Prohibits caste discrimination.

Housing

AB 12 - Prohibits landlords from requiring a security deposit greater than one month's rent.

SB 423 - Fast tracks the construction of affordable housing.

SB 4 - Allows religious institutions, including churches, synagogues and nonprofit colleges, to build affordable housing on their property.

Miscellaneous

SB 58 - Legalizes the personal use of some natural psychedelic drugs, including magic mushrooms.

SB 253 - Requires large companies doing business in California to disclose their carbon emissions.

SB 261 - Requires large companies doing business in California to disclose their climate risk.

SJR 7 - Calls for a U.S. Constitutional convention to add an amendment on gun control. This requires 33 other states to do the same in order to launch the next phase.

Measures for the 2024 Ballot

ACA 1 - Asks voters to make it easier for local governments to increase taxes for affordable housing and infrastructure projects by lowering the voter threshold for approval. If passed through the Legislature, it still needs voter approval to become law.

ACA 13 - Asks voters to requires ballot initiatives that attempt to raise the voter threshold to pass a law to also pass by that same threshold it wants voters to approve.

SB 326/AB 531- Asks voters to approve changes to the Mental Health Services Act, which would become the Behavioral Health Services Act that would require most of the funds collected through an existing 1% tax on millionaires to be used on housing those who are severely mentally ill and homeless. It also asks voters to approve a $6 billion bond to help fund the effort.

The inaugural boss of NASA's newly-created UFO research division has been named as a former meteorologist and liaison to the Pentagon.

Mark McInerney will become the US space agency's director of research into unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), more commonly known as unidentified flying objects.

NASA officials initially refused to reveal McInerney's identity amid fears he would be harassed, before later backtracking on the decision.

Speaking about the new UFO boss following the release of the agency's highly-anticipated study into more than 800 UAP sightings, NASA's associate administrator Nicola Fox told reporters: 'They have been working there a while now, during the study, to help be a point of contact.'

But when directly asked whether she could name the official, Fox replied: 'We will not give his name out.'

All changed hours later, however, when NASA sent out a press release that included McInerney's name and revealed he previously worked as the agency's liaison to the Pentagon.

There has been no explanation as to why McInerney's identity was revealed when NASA initially declined to do so.

However, it emerged at last night's briefing that several members of the independent study group had received threats, hate mail and been ridiculed on social media.

Some were even apparently told to stay away from researching UFOs because it could damage their scientific credibility.

'That's in part why we are not splashing the name of our new director out there, because science needs to be free,' Dan Evans, the NASA official in charge of the study, originally said.

'Some of [the incidents] rose to actual threats.'

The newly-formed UFO research division will continue studying UAPs, even though the space agency yesterday ruled out that aliens were to blame for some 800 such sightings over almost three decades.

These are defined as objects 'that cannot be identified as aircraft or known natural phenomena from a scientific perspective'.

In a landmark report commissioned by NASA last year and published on Thursday, an independent panel of 16 experts stressed that there was 'no reason to conclude' that any of the sightings they analysed were extraterrestrial in origin.

However, the team did warn that mysterious flying objects were a 'self-evident' threat to American airspace.

Even though they poured cold water on the extraterrestrial hypothesis, NASA's experts did not deny the possibility of a 'potential unknown alien technology operating in Earth's atmosphere.'

Their 33-page report called for NASA to utilise its technological might to continue studying UFOs because many cases remain unsolved — and researchers still have no idea what some of these sightings are.

For the first time, fossilized remains of ancient human relatives have gone to the edge of outer space — and scientists are not happy about it.

Fragmentary remains of two ancient human relatives, Australopithecus sediba and Homo naledi, were carried aboard a Virgin Galactic flight on Sept. 8. Departing from Spaceport America in New Mexico, the fossils, carried by South African-born billionaire Timothy Nash in a cigar-shaped tube, were rocketed to the edge of space.

The fossils were chosen by Lee Berger, a National Geographic Society explorer in residence and the director of the Centre for the Exploration of the Deep Human Journey at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, who was instrumental in the discovery of both species. A fragment of the collarbone of 2 million-year-old A. sediba, first discovered by Berger's son Matthew in 2008, was chosen for the trip, as well as a thumb bone from H. naledi, the still-mysterious 300,000-year-old hominin found in the Rising Star cave in 2013 by a group of researchers Berger dubbed "Underground Astronauts."

Lee Berger did not reply to a request for comment by the time of publication, but in a statement, he noted that "the journey of these fossils into space represents humankind's appreciation of the contribution of all of humanity's ancestors and our ancient relatives," while Matthew Berger speculated that these hominins "never could have dreamed while alive of taking such an incredible journey as ambassadors of all of humankind's ancestors."

The fact that these ancient species would not have understood their journey into the upper atmosphere is one of many reasons anthropologists and others have critiqued the space flight.

In a thread on X (formerly Twitter), Alessio Veneziano, a biological anthropologist and co-organizer of the AHEAD conference (Advances in Human Evolution, Adaptation and Diversity), succinctly identified four main issues that have been discussed: 1) the lack of scientific justification for the flight; 2) ethical issues surrounding respect for human ancestral remains; 3) Berger's access to the fossils, which few other researchers share; and 4) the misrepresentation of the practice of palaeoanthropology.

The fossils' space journey has been roundly criticized for lacking a scientific purpose, especially since a malfunction on the mission could have destroyed the priceless specimens. Berger's original permit request, which was ultimately approved by the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), mentioned that the goal of the journey was to promote science and bring global recognition to human origins research in South Africa rather than to address any scientific questions.

The effects of spaceflight on heritage items "hasn't been an area of scientific study," Justin Walsh, a professor of art and archaeology at Chapman University in California, told Live Science in an email. "Space archaeologists like me are definitely interested in the effect of the space environment on items in space," he said, "but I don't think we'd use a piece of heritage from here on Earth as a test article to see what happens to it."

"I am horrified that they were granted a permit," Sonia Zakrzewski, a bioarchaeologist at the University of Southampton in the U.K., wrote in an X thread, noting she would use it as an example in her class about unethical approaches. "This is NOT science."

Yes, Diversity Is About Getting Rid Of White People (And That’s A Good Thing)

One of the more common memes that I’ve seen white supremacists spread around recently has been “diversity is a code word for white genocide”. The concept here is that diversity is only promoted in white nations, and that the end goal is to eliminate white people altogether by flooding all white countries with non-white people until there are no white people left. Well, guess what, white supremacists? That’s exactly right. Diversity IS about getting rid of white people, and that’s a good thing.

First off, I am a white person myself, so allow me to get that out of the way. I’m extremely glad that the white race is dying, and you should be too. White people do not have a right to exist. Period. That may sound like a bold statement, but it’s entirely true. Any white person with even the faintest knowledge of history should curse themselves every single day for being white. Throughout all of recorded history, whites have engaged in oppression, genocide, colonialism, imperialism, and just plain evil on a massive scale. White people have denied every other race the right to exist, and have – at some point in history – oppressed every single race on the planet.

Why, then, should whites now be allowed to live in peace when whites have historically been the world’s #1 source of conflict and oppression? Whiteness is racism. Period. Whiteness is the source of all oppression in the world. Whiteness is racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and heteropatriarchal capitalism. Eliminate whiteness and you eliminate every single form of oppression that the world currently faces. No white people means no oppression. White people are like a cancer and oppression is a symptom of the cancer. Cut out the cancer altogether – with the cancer being white people – and you get rid of all of the oppression which white people cause.

I have dedicated my life to fighting racism, and I have determined – based on all available evidence – that the only way to really eliminate racism is to eliminate whiteness. Whiteness is the ocean from which racism flows. Get rid of whiteness and you get rid of racism. Despite what white supremacists often claim, white people do not have a “culture”. White “culture” consists of nothing more than oppression, genocide, and the disenfranchisement of minorities. White “culture” is racism and nothing more. When white supremacists talk about “white culture”, what they’re really talking about is racism. Over the course of history, white people have built a massive empire based entirely on the hard work of oppressed and disenfranchised minority groups. But guess what, white people? That empire is finally coming to an end now, and its demise is music to my hears. To quote the great anti-racist activist Tim Wise: “Do you hear it? The sound of your empire dying? Your nation, as you knew it, ending, permanently? Because I do, and the sound of its demise is beautiful.”

Descendants of Holocaust survivors can personally attest to the evil that white people are capable of when they hold the reins of power. Thankfully, whites won’t be holding the reins of power for much longer. When white people die out, so will racism, sexism, queerphobia, and all other forms of oppression. The only way to eliminate racism, white privilege, and white supremacy is to eliminate whiteness altogether. When I teach my students about human rights, critical race theory, and the role of whites in worldwide oppression, my white students often ask me how they can “atone” for the evils of whiteness and how they can make up for centuries of white oppression. And I tell them: you can do that by not having any children and ensuring that the white race does not live to oppress anyone ever again in the future.

Thankfully, white birthrates are indeed very low, while the birthrates of minorities are much, MUCH higher. Within our lifetimes, whites will be a minority in a significant number of formerly white countries, including the US, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, to name just a few. To white supremacists yearning for the days when whites could rape and pillage the world with impunity, this is incredibly frightening. To people on the right side of history, however, this looks like progress. Whites are finally getting their just desserts – and it’s about time. I sincerely hope that, when the white power structure finally comes crashing down, whites will receive no mercy from the minority groups that whites have spent centuries oppressing. We certainly don’t deserve any mercy or kindness, as we have given nothing of the sort to others.

Whites should also know that, when they do become a minority in formerly white countries, they will NOT be receiving affirmative action or any of the other benefits meant to assist the minorities that whites have historically oppressed. Why? Because whites don’t deserve those benefits. It’s as simple as that. One can look to South Africa, where whites are only about 8.4% of the population, but blacks continue to receive affirmative action because blacks in South Africa have historically been disenfranchised by whites. The same thing will happen when whites become a minority in North America, Europe, and Oceania, because whites have historically oppressed minorities in all three of those continents. Not to mention, why should whites receive any kind of benefits when the ultimate goal is to get rid of whites altogether? Finally, laws against hate speech will serve to prevent whites from complaining about this, as any white person who complains will be arrested, given a long prison sentence, and made an example of for the rest of the remaining white population. Speech that attempts to justify the white power structure and perpetuate white oppression of minorities is not freedom of speech, and it has absolutely no place in modern society.

As white people, we all need to recognize that we no longer have a place in the world. This world now belongs to the minorities that us whites have spent centuries oppressing, and there is absolutely nothing that any pathetic white supremacists can do about it. In order for a better world to be created, white people need to be exterminated. Period. It’s as simple as that. We should simply be thankful that our death will be accomplished through mass immigration and declining birthrates. When whites have exterminated other races, it wasn’t nearly so peaceful – it was done through violent genocide. But other races are not as evil as whites are, and it’s important to remember that. The world belongs to minorities now, and they will make a much better, more peaceful world with what they’re given. Only when white people have ceased to exist will a peaceful and progressive society – free of racism and hatred – be possible. The only way to eliminate white privilege, white oppression, white racism, and the oppressive white power structure is to eliminate white people altogether.

So, yes, white supremacists: diversity is indeed white genocide. And white genocide is exactly what the world needs more than anything else.

A NASA astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts will launch to space later today (Sept. 15), and you can watch live.

NASA astronaut Loral O'Hara, alongside Russian counterparts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, will launch aboard a Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station. Launch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. EDT (1530 GMT or 8:30 p.m. local time at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.)

You can watch the launch live here at Space.com, courtesy of NASA Television. Coverage starts about 45 minutes before launch. The crew will then make one of the fastest-ever trips to the ISS, potentially arriving as soon as 2:56 p.m. EDT (1856 GMT). We will also carry that coverage live, from NASA. Hatch opening will follow around 4:45 p.m. EDT (2045 GMT) as the Soyuz astronauts join the Expedition 69 crew already on station.

The trio will launch aboard the MS-24 spacecraft as a relief crew for NASA astronaut Frank Rubio and Roscosmos' Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin. Rubio and his colleagues were already scheduled for a six-month mission, which was delayed to a year following a leak in their own Soyuz spacecraft (MS-22) in December 2022.

The agencies eventually decided to rapidly send up an empty replacement vehicle, MS-23, which safely arrived in February. But prior to the leak, MS-23 was supposed to hold O'Hara and her relief crew, who were still in training at the time of its faster-than-expected launch. For Rubio and his crewmates, coming home required an even longer wait until the new MS-24 and O'Hara's crew would be ready this month to relieve them.

In the meantime, Rubio, Prokopyev and Petelin unintentionally set records. At an expected 371 days in space (assuming a Sept. 27 landing), they are the first crew to spend more than a year on the ISS. And only four people have spent longer in space than that, all cosmonauts who visited the Soviet-era Mir space station for as long as 427 days.

NASA has emphasized the importance of having backup vehicles in case of emergencies like this. The agency had a backup plan to bring Rubio home in an already docked SpaceX Dragon vehicle (putting Rubio in a temporary seat installed below four seats already occupied by other astronauts); Rubio's Russian crewmates would have taken the broken Soyuz, as two humans would not heat up the spacecraft as rapidly as three. But that scenario was not required after MS-23 arrived.

NASA and the Russians regularly exchange astronauts to fly on each other's vehicles; O'Hara's was part of a set of four announced in mid-2022.

Florida Neo-Nazis Find Anti-Drag Mania Is a Recruitment Tool.

“We’ve just seen the largest upticks in recruitment from the drag stuff,” says Josh Nunes, leader of National Socialist Florida.

A neo-Nazi group in Florida says the right-wing hysteria about drag performances has been an effective recruitment tool.

“What we have seen is certain types of activism definitely gets interest and recruitment up. And that’s where like the drag queen shit — like everybody wants to be a part of the team shutting that down,” Josh Nunes, leader of National Socialist Florida, recently told NPR.

The NPR report describes the group laser-projecting an image of a swastika and a cross onto a high-rise building in Jacksonville, along with messages such as one to Florida’s governor reading, “Why are child friendly drag shows legal? @ Ron DeSantis.” Actually, DeSantis has been a proponent of restricting drag shows, but National Socialist Florida is trying to push him even farther.

While the far right has gotten riled up over school curricula about racial and LGBTQ+ issues, the anti-drag rhetoric has been the most effective, Nunes said. “We’ve just seen the largest upticks in recruitment from the drag stuff,” he noted.

Just a few people turned out to protest drag shows when the group first became active last year, but “it’s not uncommon to show up with 20 dudes now,” he said. “We’re hoping by the end of this year maybe we got 30 or 40 guys.”

In doing some digging this morning I came across something interesting. Anons may recall Dr. Carol Baker who advocating something to the effect of "getting rid of all the whites" in the US, due apparently to them catching on about vaccines and being "hesitant". (pic related)

I think that hospital birth attended by physicians has long been much less safe than non-medicalized home birth with perhaps the help of a midwife. It seems strange to me to apply antibiotic to a baby who should be getting colonized by the normal flora of the mother and who has gotten passively immunized by maternal antibodies prior to birth. Of course the infant shouldn't be exposed to pathogens like pertussis but if a baby is born at home and sick people don't visit things should almost always be fine. Was the GBS strep prophylaxis more about avoiding hospital acquired infection than anything else?

Relatedly, Carol Baker is at least the second vaccine promoter who has the term "Godmother" or "Godfather" applied to them. Are ardent vaccine promoters typically parents? Are they often parents of multiple children? Why "Godfather" or "Godmother" of some random vaccine or "health" effort? Do some have a "God complex"?

BIG SMILE – The RNC is in a very weak position ahead of the September 27th Fox Business News debate at the Reagan Library. President Trump has already said he will not be in attendance, and the remaining candidates look silly as they prepare for a debate with zero relevance to the voters.

The GOPe was looking to use the Reagan Library debate as a great opportunity to undermine President Trump and position him as the radical candidate. However, the debate itself is increasingly irrelevant. As this dynamic unfolds, the RNC is weakened in an almost delicious way.

It’s easy to get weary with the liberal left. They clearly have an agenda and their prey is obviously our children. The left can’t win an argument on merit, they don’t follow science, they hate tradition, and they live in an altered state of reality. They have abandoned life as we know it, and are choosing instead to poison societal structure and morals, all for the sake of power.

Libraries, both public and those found in schools, have been a global source of education for centuries. School libraries in particular are sacred because all of the searchers of knowledge in those are either children or young adults. The books found in those libraries must evoke interest and provide knowledge. Ideally, the information should be geared to match the study criteria of the student and any interests that they may have, such as sports, hobbies, history, etc. Very importantly, the information must always be age-appropriate.

The saying “let kids be kids” isn’t just some old knock-about cliché. It is steeped in reality. Every one of us goes through a childhood phase, adolescence, and then adulthood. Each one of those phases is unique and necessary, which is in direct contradiction to what the left is trying to do. Young minds, when properly guided, are inquisitive and full of promise. They’re playful, gregarious, and at times perhaps a little cantankerous. They are also inevitably naïve, innocent, impressionable, and vulnerable — traits that just come with the territory of being young.

It’s those latter traits that the left seizes on. Instead of nurturing these young blossoming minds and feeding them knowledge that will enable them to live healthy, happy, and productive lives, they burden them with concerns that are overwhelming for a child. In far too many cases, teachers have become activists. Instead of educating, they are preaching the gospel of the left. A gospel that is not based in any type of reality. A gospel that the left is using to turn children into tools of anarchy.

These activists are a despicable breed. Self-righteous to the core, they smugly spew out their agenda daily to these young, impressionable minds. Can you imagine being a child and instead of just dealing with normal childhood issues, you are burdened with the thought that you may not be what you are? It’s a dilemma that no child should have to consider. It’s the fabrication of a cruel and wicked part of society that is not looking out for the child’s welfare; they simply want another notch in their woke belts.

What better way to reinforce the agenda you’re preaching than to back it up with the written word? So these radicals are infiltrating school libraries with smut containing very explicit sexual acts, sexual deviance, and transgenderism. As they force these handbooks of perversion into libraries and children’s lives, parents and those with a moral compass push back and protest. Which of course results in the left screaming that books are being banned. These claims are obviously invalid, but they are still exploited by a complicit media.

The result is a battle that leaves bewildered children in the middle. All they want to do is go to school, learn, and enjoy their classmates. Instead, the left uses them as chess pieces, hoping to eliminate their parents from all decisions concerning their sex and gender, thus creating a mentally imbalanced social warrior.

In one of the most egregious acts of deliberate grooming, the Peel District School Board in Ontario has removed all books that were not published within the last 15 years. So, all books published before 2008 have been removed. The board also removed any books that they deemed to have “racist content,” stereotypes, or didn’t affirm students identities [sic].” Even books such as Harry Potter and The Hunger Games were removed.

The district refers to this mind-numbing purge of history as “equitable weeding.” A group of fascists that sit on the board gets to decide what is offensive and then remove it. They claim that removing these outdated books will limit “the harm caused by outdated and oppressive resources that remain in circulation.”

In an internal memo, the board directed the staff to “affirm identities,” stating that using “anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and anti-colonial texts is crucial.”…

The Child Poverty Rate In The United States Has More Than Doubled

If you take an honest look at the numbers, the obvious conclusion is that the U.S. economy is rapidly going in the wrong direction. Delinquency rates are soaring, sales of previously owned homes have declined by more than 32 percent over the past two years, inflation is starting to rise at a frightening pace again, large companies all over America are laying off workers, and we just witnessed the largest decline in real median household income in more than a decade. Sadly, it is often the most vulnerable members of our society that get hit the hardest when economic times get rough. According to the Census Bureau, the child poverty rate in the United States more than doubled from 2021 to 2022…

The U.S. poverty rate according to the Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM) was 12.4% in 2022, a rise of 4.6 percentage points from 2021. The poverty rate for children more than doubled year over year, from 5.2% to 12.4% — a record increase.

There is no way to spin that number to make it look good.

So why did this happen?

The Census Bureau is blaming inflation and the end of emergency programs that were instituted during the early days of the pandemic…

Inflation was a factor, but Census Bureau officials said the spike could largely be attributed to the expiration of pandemic programs: There were no stimulus payments last year, and the enhanced child tax credits expired in 2021.

Those stimulus checks were nice while they lasted, but they also helped to fuel the horrifying inflation that we are experiencing today.

Inflation seemed to cool off a bit for a few months, but now it is starting to accelerate again.

According to the Labor Department, we just witnessed the largest monthly increase in the consumer price index so far this year…

The Labor Department said Wednesday that the consumer price index, a broad measure of the price for everyday goods including gasoline, groceries and rents, rose 0.6% in August from the previous month, in line with estimates. It marked the steepest monthly increase this year, underscoring the challenge of taming high inflation.

If prices were to rise 0.6 percent every month, the official rate of inflation would be over 7 percent for the entire year.

Of course if inflation was still measured the way that it was back in 1980, we would still be well into double-digit territory right now.

Over the past several years, inflation has been rising much faster than our paychecks have, and this has had an absolutely devastating impact on the middle class.

Millions of U.S. households are being pushed to a financial breaking point, and as a result delinquencies are spiking. The following was recently posted on Twitter by the Kobeissi Letter…

Elvira Nabiullina noted that the Bank of Russia was still developing cash and creating a new series of banknotes with a fresh design

Cash will not disappear from circulation and the demand for it does not go away, Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said at a press conference following a meeting of the regulator's board of directors.

"Our fundamental position is that people should be able to choose how to make payments. We are presenting choices. We are still developing cash, and we are even creating a new series of banknotes with a fresh design. So cash is not going away, there was and still is a demand for cash," she said.

Head of the State Duma Committee on the financial market Anatoly Aksakov said in early September that the digital ruble can be used in international payments by 2025.

The Bank of Russia said earlier that the digital ruble will not be a substitute for bank accounts and deposits: interest will not be charged on balances in the wallet, moreover, it is planned to introduce a limit on the amount of funds stored in them. This is needed to prevent an outflow of liquidity from banks and a decrease in lending.

Paying for goods and services using the digital ruble will be similar to paying with a QR code through the Faster Payments System. It will be possible to pay with the digital ruble offline, without access to the Internet. The client will transfer part of the digital rubles to a separate offline wallet. Its use will be similar to paying in cash, where credit cards are not accepted. The launch of the offline mode of the digital ruble is scheduled only at the second stage of the project, approximately in 2024. It is also planned to launch the exchange of the digital ruble for foreign currency and open wallets for non-residents.

Bank of Russia’s Chief Elvira Nabiullina stated at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the government on July 19, 2023, the mass introduction of the digital ruble could happen at the beginning of 2025.

The records show that, on May 31, 2023, Dr. Rais Vohra, then-interim health officer for the Fresno County Department of Public Health, had issued an order to Prestige to close its operations in Reedley, CA, and clean up dangerous materials at the site:

This Order is issued as a result of the City of Reedley’s attempts at gathering authorized representative contact information, repeated requests of complete lists of biologicals present, and an inspection pursuant to Health Officer Order dated April 21, 2023, which revealed biologicals in hazardous and non-compliant conditions, the presence of multiple infectious agents and pursuant to Title 17 California Code of Regulations Section 2500, and multiple City of Reedley building and fire code violations, including but not limited to, failing refrigeration, and documented out of compliance electrical additions.

The records include an August 2023 PowerPoint presentation titled “Healthy Fresno County, Better Together, Reedley Lab Update,” written by Fresno Co. Asst. Dir. Joe Prado. The presentation includes a section titled “City of Fresno Chronology of Events,” which includes:

August 31, 2020 – Environmental Health CUPA inspection performed at Universal Meditech at 1320 E. Fortune Ave #102 in Fresno.

EH Inspector conducted onsite visit and noted violations: failing to prepare and implement a hazardous materials business plan (HMBP) for storage of hazmat (ethanol) over state thresholds

Permit was completed and valid from 9-1-2020 through 8-31-2021. Inspections are every 3 years from initial inspection, unless complaint is received.

Kazakhstan Soyuz launch sends 2 Russians, American to space station

Sept. 15 (UPI) - Two Russian cosmonauts and an American astronaut lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for a trip to the International Space Station aboard a Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft Friday.

The spacecraft was launched atop a Soyuz 2.1a booster rocket at 11:44 a.m. from the Cosmodrome's Site 31/6 and is expected to dock at the International Space Station at 2:56 p.m. EDT.

Hatch opening is scheduled for 4:45 p.m.

Russian cosmonauts Nikolai Chub and Oleg Kononenko joined NASA astronaut Loral O'Hara on the mission, which officially is called Expedition 70.

Lithuania revokes Russian-born figure skater’s citizenship

Vilnius’ decision comes a year after Margarita Drobiazko participated at an event in Sochi

Lithuania has revoked the citizenship of Russian-born figure skater Margarita Drobiazko. The move came shortly after President Gitanas Nauseda announced his intention to do so based on a recommendation by the country’s Citizenship Commission.

The Lithuanian head of state told the Baltic News Service (BNS) on Thursday that “the question [to revoke her passport] is completely clear to me.”

A representative for Nauseda later confirmed to the same media outlet that he had signed a decree to strip Drobiazko of her citizenship.

“I think that people who want to spread the light of culture and goodness in the skin of an aggressor can continue to do this without Lithuanian citizenship,” Nauseda added.

The remarks appear to be a reference to an open letter issued by Drobiazko to “fellow Lithuanians” this week, in which she addressed speculation surrounding her status as a citizen. “As far as I understand, I am charged with not publicly expressing my political opinion,” the retired Moscow-born athlete wrote.

Along with her husband, Povilas Vanagas, Drobiazko is considered to be one of the most decorated figure skaters in Lithuania’s history. Both formally retired from the sport in 2006, and now work and reside in Russia.

Drobiazko also said that she does not promote Russia’s foreign policy aims, but only spreads “the light of culture and goodness.”

On Wednesday, Lithuania’s Citizenship Commission recommended that Drobiazko, 51, be deprived of citizenship “due to her publicly expressed support for the Russian Federation, which is interpreted as a hostile state towards Lithuania, the states of the European Union and their allies.”

In August 2022, Drobiazko and the Lithuanian-born Vanagas participated in an ice-dancing event in Sochi which was organized by Tatyana Navka, the wife of Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

Following her appearance in Sochi, Nauseda claimed the decision to award Drobiazko Lithuanian citizenship “looks like a miserable farce.” Lithuania’s deputy minister of internal affairs, Arnoldas Abramavicius, argued in July that Drobiazko was not “some kind of terrorist” but that “support to the aggressor state can be both moral and financial.”

The move to revoke Drobiazko’s citizenship comes after Lithuania introduced a law earlier this year which permits the removal of passports previously issued by virtue of contributions to sport or culture, should the person be suspected of opposing the country’s security interests.

Researchers at the World Bank claim that lead in drinking water is responsible for more heart disease than smoking or bad diets.

Using blood tests from thousands of adults in 183 countries, they simulated the number of deaths from heart disease caused by lead — with their model saying 5.5million were caused by the heavy metal.

For comparison, smoking was linked to two million deaths from heart disease worldwide, while high cholesterol contributes to 2.6million.

Researchers based in Washington D.C. said their study was a 'wake-up call' to get lead out of the water supply, with 56 percent of Americans still drinking water contaminated with the heavy metal.

President Donald Trump is set to visit and deliver remarks in the state of Iowa at two major events next week.

After crowds gathered last weekend to see the 45th president attending the Iowa vs. Iowa State college football game, Trump is now scheduled to speak at two events in the Hawkeye State on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

“We love Iowa, we just left South Dakota last night, it was an amazing evening. We got a wonderful endorsement, as you know, from the governor. We’re here and this reception has been incredible,” Trump said last weekend at the football game.

Trump will first be visiting Maquoketa, Iowa, on Sept. 20 to deliver remarks to a Team Trump Iowa Commit to Caucus. Doors will open for a kick-off commencement at 10 a.m. CT, with Trump set to speak at 1 p.m. local time.

The 45th president will then make his way to a second event in Dubuque, Iowa, where he is scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. CT.

It is no surprise that the former president is bringing in crowds, as he currently dominates in both 2024 primary and general election poll predictions. In fact, according to FiveThirtyEight, a recent data collection for the state polls shows Trump holding as large as a 35-point lead in the primary elections and a 13-point lead in the 2024 general election.
