Banking giant admits pressuring Intuit into cutting off gun companies

JPMorgan Chase admitted to pressuring the financial software company Intuit into preventing gun sellers from using the company’s payment processing services, according to a letter Sen. Ted Cruz sent Monday after looking into the policy. Bank of America, meanwhile, denied pressuring Intuit into banning gun manufacturers from using its famous QuickBooks software.

“Woke big banks are increasingly weaponizing their power to cut off law-abiding businesses from accessing banking services,” Cruz, R-Texas, told The Daily Signal in an email statement Monday.

Only five days ago, the Mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas issued an emergency order due to a huge influx of illegal immigrants crossing into the US from Mexico, and only a few days after that the latest border numbers revealed record migrant crossings in 2023 (over 2.2 million so far). Despite the multitude of warnings since Joe Biden entered the White House, there has been no discernible effort on the part of the federal government to stop the tide.

In fact, more and more evidence suggests the Biden Administration is deliberately thwarting all efforts to secure the southern border while consistently lying about their intentions.

Case in point, Biden fought to end Title 42, which was the only legal recourse keeping abuse of the asylum option in check. Biden has filed a lawsuit asking courts to stop Texas efforts to fence off the Rio Grande with bright orange razor wire buoys, which have proven very effective. Biden and Democrats have tried to stop Texas Governor Greg Abbott from relocating migrants to blue leaning "sanctuary cities" (they've been given a taste of their own medicine and they don't like it). Biden has ordered border patrol agents to "process" illegal immigrants for asylum status, instead of using their energies to send them packing back across the border. And, Biden has ordered those same agents to open border fences against the wishes of state governments so that migrants can easily pass through.

Photos deleted from the now-defunct Burisma Holdings website show former U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch met with Vadim Pozharskyi—the Burisma official who worked closely with Hunter Biden—at two separate events after she had been told the Ukrainian energy company was considered corrupt by the State Department.

The photos are likely to raise fresh questions about parts of Yovanovitch's testimony to Congress during former President Donald Trump’s first impeachment. It also raises the question of why the U.S. embassy in Ukraine engaged with company representatives in a public relations campaign with the U.S. government at the same time that internal embassy communications focused on the company’s corruption.

Photos obtained from the now-deleted Burisma website and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) show that Yovanovitch attended two meetings hosted by the USUBC in Kyiv with Vadim Pozharskyi, the Burisma executive who met with then-Vice President Joe Biden and appears frequently in Hunter Biden's emails.

The Burisma website also referenced one other meeting, though no photos were provided. Pozharksyi—the corporate secretary who ran the day to day operations with the board of the company—was at the epicenter of Burisma’s public relations campaign to close down investigations into the company by former Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Yovanovitch testified at Trump’s first impeachment because she served as the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine when Trump made the infamous phone call to the newly inaugurated Ukrainian President, Volodymr Zelensky.

NEW YORK — A judge ruled on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump committed fraud while building his real estate empire, years before he ascended to the White House.

Ruling in a civil lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Judge Arthur Engoron said that Trump and his company deceived banks, insurers and others by overvaluing his assets and exaggerating his net worth, The Associated Press reported.

Engoron’s decision in a Manhattan court precedes a trial scheduled to begin on Monday, The New York Times reported. It narrows the issues that will be heard in the case, according to the newspaper.

The bench trial will now focus on allegations that include falsifying business records and providing false financial statements, Bloomberg reported. It will also address the state of New York’s demand for $250 million in restitution.

The judge also ordered sanctions against Trump’s attorneys, fining each of them $7,500 for making arguments the Engoron had rejected, the Times reported.

Engoron ruled that Trump, his company and its key executives lied about Trump’s purported riches on his annual financial statements, the AP reported. The statements helped Trump and his company enjoy rewards such as favorable loan terms and lower insurance premiums, the judge said.

Trump can still delay Monday’s trial or even undercut it, the Times reported. Trump has sued Engoron, and an appeals court is expected to rule on the lawsuit this week. If Trump loses his appeal, he will have to fight the remainder of the case during a trial, according to the newspaper.

James sued Trump, his real estate company and his two adult sons in September 2022, accusing them of inflating the value of Trump’s biggest assets from 2011 to 2021 in order to receive better terms from banks and insurers, according to Bloomberg.

Instagram and OnlyFans are fueling an exploding illegal child trafficking industry online, Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX) wrote Tuesday to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in a letter obtained exclusively by Breitbart News.

“Instagram and OnlyFans.com are blatantly facilitating the purchase of child sexual abuse material (CSAM),” said Rep. Nehls. “This is completely unacceptable.”

Nehls’ letter alerts FTC Chair Lina Khan to the “unlawful activities” on the two platforms, asking for immediate investigation.

“Children should not be victims of crimes for the financial gain of social media companies. This is why I am calling on the FTC to immediately investigate both Instagram and OnlyFans.com and establish effective guardrails for credit card companies, such as Mastercard and Visa, who allow the purchase of content displaying the sexual abuse of children.

“We must do everything possible to protect our most vulnerable from this horrific Epstein Island-like industry and pursue their traffickers to the fullest extent.”

Each platform creates its own set of problems for law enforcement. The Congressman points to a study led by the Wall Street Journal concluding that “Instagram’s features, such as its hashtag system, algorithms, and search options, are facilitating the process of locating and purchasing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

“Regrettably, even users who inadvertently encounter such material, and rightfully report it to the platform, are often suggested similar content by the platform’s algorithms.”

Nehls cites a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children report that 5 million of its 31.9 million reports of child pornography originated from Instagram in 2022.

OnlyFans.com’s subscription-based business model “has transformed the pornography industry,” writes Nehls. “The paywall enables traffickers, rapists, and other criminal elements to better evade detection.”

The paywall utilized by OnlyFans creates additional challenges for law enforcement, said Tim Palmbach, Executive Director of the Center for Investigations in Trafficking in Persons. “It is important for Congress to continue to call attention to these critical issues and encourage federal agencies to investigate and give law enforcement the tools needed to pursue these very complex cases.”

Credit card operators facilitate the ability of OnlyFans subscribers to “tip” in real time for requested content, often illegal, according to Nehls, whose letter argues this activity by credit card companies gives the FTC the regulatory authority to investigate them as well.

The founder and CEO of the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative, Aaron Kehler, applauded Nehls for “his leadership in bringing attention to potential child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual exploitation (CSE) occurring on various online platforms to federal agencies with jurisdication to take a stance on protecting our most vulnerable.”

Nehls asks for immediate action from FTC given the “gravity” of the concerns. “Consideration must be given to appropriate regulatory or legislative remedies that can harmonize user privacy, platform business models, and the necessity for robust law enforcement mechanisms to stem the tide of horrific online child abuse and other illegal material.”

The House Overusing Committee is holding the first impeachment hearing into President Joe Biden this Thursday and has announced the first three interview witnesses. The impeachment process will assess whether then Vice President Joe Biden received a bribe from a Ukrainian businessman to change the outcome of U.S. policy.

The committee announced three witnesses, including George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley, former Assistant Attorney General, United States Department of Justice Tax Division Eileen O’Connor, and forensic accountant Bruce Dubinsky.

“Since January, House Committees on Oversight and Accountability, Judiciary, and Ways and Means have uncovered an overwhelming amount of evidence showing President Joe Biden abused his public office for his family’s financial gain,” said Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) who also made the following lengthy statements:

“Thousands of pages of financial records, emails, texts, testimony from credible IRS whistleblowers, and a transcribed interview with Biden family business associate Devon Archer all reveal that Joe Biden allowed his family to sell him as ‘the brand’ around the world to enrich the Biden family. Joe Biden showed up on at least two dozen occasions to send signals of access, influence, and power to those who were paying the Bidens.”

“Based on the evidence, Congress has a duty to open an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s corruption. Americans demand and deserve answers, transparency, and accountability for this abuse of public office…This week, the House Oversight Committee will present evidence uncovered to date and hear from legal and financial experts about crimes the Bidens may have committed as they brought in millions at the expense of U.S. interests.”

Just The News reports: Prompting the impeachment inquiry is an unclassified FD-1023 form that contains confidential human source information outlining an alleged bribery effort. The tip describes an arrangement in which Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly hired Hunter Biden to secure access to his father, upon whom he leaned to secure the firing of then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the firm.

While the House remains divided among itself, the Senate has reached a deal on a bill that would kick the deadline for a government shutdown down the road by six weeks.

The continuing resolution (CR), endorsed by both Senate leaders Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., would extend government funding from September 30 to November 17.

It includes over $6 billion in Ukraine aid, sure to trigger some House conservatives. It also includes $6 billion in disaster relief and no border provisions.

It's unlikely the deal could pass before Sunday if Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., holds up 'quick passage' - which requires unanimous consent. He claimed Tuesday he would continue to do so.

'I will object to any kind of easy passage or speeding up of the time. I think it's bad policy to borrow money from China to send it to Ukraine.'

The CR, endorsed by both Senate leaders Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., would extend government funding from September 30 to November 17. It includes over $6 billion in Ukraine aid

Meanwhile Speaker Kevin McCarthy remained non-committal on whether he'd ever give a Senate-authored CR a vote on the House floor. He's also called for Ukraine aid to be dealt with separately from stopgap spending legislation.

On Tuesday he did say he would put a stopgap funding bill on the floor before Saturday but said he would continue pushing for one that included border security.

The Senate CR would likely pass both the upper chamber and the lower chamber with votes from Democrats and some Republicans if House GOP leadership put it up for a vote. But doing so could endanger McCarthy's speakership.

Tesla battery on fire at Bouldercombe energy storage site, Genex confirms

A Tesla battery continues to burn at one of Queensland’s first large-scale battery storage sites after it caught fire last night.

Key points:

A resident says he heard bangs and pops as the fire raged

He kept his distance because he believed the smoke would have been "very toxic"

The site's owner and operator says Tesla will be involved in the investigation of the incident

Police were called to the incident in Child’s Avenue in Bouldercombe, about 23 kilometres from Rockhampton, at 7:45pm.

Officers said the fire caused hazardous smoke to spill out into the immediate area and nearby residents were urged to stay indoors and keep respiratory medication close by.

Several firefighting crews were called and the fire was contained to a single battery earlier this morning.

Gracemere resident Dave Bailey witnessed the fire and said he could see huge, multi-coloured flames.

"We heard a few bangs and pops and things like that," Mr Bailey said.

"At one point the flames were pretty good — different colours and things like that."

Special counsel Jack Smith has added a veteran war crimes prosecutor — who served as Smith’s deputy during his stint at the Hague — to his team as it prepares to put former President Donald Trump on trial in Washington and Florida.

Alex Whiting worked alongside Smith for three years, helping prosecute crimes against humanity that occurred in Kosovo in the late 1990s. The Yale-educated attorney also worked as a prosecutor with the International Criminal Court from 2010 to 2013. He has taught law classes at Harvard since 2007 as well, hired as an assistant professor by then-Dean Elena Kagan — now a Supreme Court justice — and rising to a visiting professorship in 2013.

Whiting’s precise role on Smith’s team is unclear. A spokesperson for Smith declined to comment, and Whiting did not immediately return requests for comment. The prosecutors’ office in the Hague and Harvard University also did not respond to requests for comment about Whiting’s current employment status.

But a POLITICO reporter observed Whiting at the U.S. district courthouse in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday and Thursday, spending several hours monitoring the trial of a Jan. 6 defendant. The judge in the case is Tanya Chutkan, who is slated to preside over Trump’s trial in March on federal charges stemming from his efforts to subvert the 2020 election.

During a break in the Jan. 6 trial this week, Whiting introduced himself to prosecutors as a new member of Smith’s team, saying he “just joined” the office.

From 2018 to 2022, Smith served as chief prosecutor in the Kosovo Specialist Chamber in the Hague. Whiting temporarily took over that office last year after Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Smith as special counsel to lead the Trump investigations. Boston attorney Kim West was appointed to permanently succeed Smith in June but did not assume the role immediately.

Whiting has been a frequent commentator on the previous special counsel to investigate Trump: Robert Mueller, who investigated links between Russia and Trump’s 2016 campaign. Whiting wrote numerous articles and gave interviews assessing the strength of Mueller’s case against Trump, often siding with those who saw extreme legal peril for Trump over his efforts to curb the investigation. Though he was once active on Twitter, his account appears to have been deleted and a Wayback Machine search suggests it was dormant since mid-2022.

Whiting’s addition to the team shows Smith is gearing up for a new phase of his efforts — preparing for trials that could send a former president to prison for the first time in U.S. history.

The hire is also another example of Smith turning to allies he has worked closely with at different phases of his career. His top deputies, David Harbach and Raymond Hulser, worked closely with Smith during his Obama-era stint at the Justice Department, where Smith headed the Public Integrity Section.

Harbach, too, was recently spotted observing a potential adversary in the Washington, D.C., federal courthouse. He attended portions of jury selection for former Trump adviser Peter Navarro, who is represented by attorney Stanley Woodward. Woodward also happens to represent Walt Nauta, Trump’s co-defendant in Smith’s other criminal case against the former president, related to his stash of highly sensitive national security documents at his Florida estate.

It’s unclear whether Whiting’s attendance at Chutkan’s trial was on his own initiative or if he was observing on assignment from the special counsel’s office.

In addition to his war crimes work — which also included a five-year stint as a trial lawyer for three war crimes prosecutions stemming from the war in Kosovo — he also spent seven years prosecuting organized crime in Boston for the Justice Department from 1995 to 2002.

Alex Whiting has joined the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) as Head of Investigations.

Mr Whiting, 54, is a prosecutor of French and US nationality with extensive experience of both domestic and international prosecutions, including stints at both the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), as well as a distinguished academic career.

Mr Whiting came to the SPO from Harvard Law School, where he had been a professor of practice since 2013.

Between 2010 and 2013, Mr Whiting was in the Office of the Prosecutor at the ICC where he served first as Investigations Coordinator, overseeing all investigations, and then as Prosecutions Coordinator, overseeing all prosecutions.

Before joining the ICC, Mr Whiting taught for three years as an assistant clinical professor of law at Harvard Law School.

Between 2002 and 2007, Mr Whiting worked for the ICTY, where he was lead prosecutor in the trial of Fatmir Limaj, Isak Musliu, and Haradin Bala, and lead prosecutor in the trials of Milan Martić and Dragomir Milošević.

Before joining the ICTY, Mr Whiting was a US federal prosecutor, first with the Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division in Washington, DC, and then with the US Attorney’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts, where he focused on organised crime and corruption cases.

Mr Whiting is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School.

Donald Trump learned about the estate after unsuccessfully trying to purchase and combine two apartments in Palm Beach for his family. He offered the Post family $15 million for it, but they rejected it. Trump purchased the land between Mar-a-Lago and the ocean from Jack C. The new club hosted concerts by Céline Dion and Billy Joel and had beauty pageant contestants as guests.[20][19][33] Mar-a-Lago has frequently hosted the International Red Cross Ball, an annual "white tie, tails, and tiara" event.[34] Founded by Post, it has a history of support of the mission of the American Red Cross.[35]

According to financial disclosure forms filed by Trump, the Mar-a-Lago Club had $29.7 million in gross revenues in the period June 2015 through May 2016.[36] The club had revenues of $25.1 million for calendar year 2017, $22 million in 2018, and $21.4 million in 2019.[37][38]

In 2018, Forbes estimated the value of the estate at around $160 million, claiming it had appreciated since Trump's purchase.[25] In a 2022 lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James, it was alleged that Trump inflated the value of Mar-a-Lago to $739 million, when the property should actually be valued at $75 million.[39]

It seems a major deal was made between Swift and Soros as most of Swift’s Eras Tour stops in October 2024 are happening in swing states or states that border swing states. Swift starts her October 2024 tour off in the critical election state of Florida and then goes to Indiana at the end of the month. Indiana borders the essential swing states of Ohio and Michigan.

Conveniently Swift’s new “boyfriend,” Travis Kelce, was born and raised in Ohio. Kelce was viewed as a midwestern hero by many before he sold out to Pfizer. Still, Kelce would be a great GOTV tool for the globalists.

Last week, Alex Soros, the individual in control of the Soros fortune, posted a photo with Gavin Newsom, Soros captioned the photo, writing Newsom is ” one of the USA’s great leaders.” Soros has yet to speak about Biden in the same kind of light.

Mike Lindell Says MyPillow 'Crippled' by Major Credit Card Company

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said Monday that his company has been "crippled" by American Express after it allegedly cut MyPillow's credit line by about 90 percent.

Mr. Lindell, a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, has long said that extensive campaign is being waged by retailers and financial institutions to cancel him and his business ventures following his claims after the 2020 election.

"We really need everybody's help right now. We have things going on I'm going to let you all know this week," he told Steve Bannon on his "War Room" Rumble show. "American Express, I wasn't going to say this, we've been with them 15 years and we do all of our online marketing, all our shipping with them, out of the blue they took our credit line from a million dollars down to $100,000, just cripples MyPillow."

He added that the credit card firm lowered the line for "no reason" and "no explanation was given, adding it "just dropped it down last Tuesday." The Epoch Times has contacted American Express, which hasn't released a public statement on Mr. Lindell's statement, for comment on the matter.

The move, he said, is part of an "all-out attack on MyPillow," saying his company was also targeted by another company that he did not disclose in recent days.

Over the summer, Mr. Lindell announced he would be auctioning off 700 pieces of equipment, including forklifts, desks, and cubicle units. Speaking to a local newspaper in Minneapolis, he said the auction comes after he said MyPillow lost $100 million in revenue due to retailers and other companies halting sales of his products.

"It was a massive, massive cancellation," he told the Minneapolis Star Tribune in July. "We lost $100 million from attacks by the box stores, the shopping networks, the shopping channels, all of them did cancel culture on us."

According to a search of Walmart's website, the big box retailer doesn't sell MyPillow products. The company said last year it would stop selling MyPillow items at brick-and-mortar locations. In January 2022, one of his banks, the Minnesota Bank & Trust, described the MyPillow CEO as a "reputation risk" and cut ties with him weeks later.

Other retailers like Bed Bath & Beyond, Wayfair, H-E-B, and Kohl's also stopped selling Mr. Lindell's products, he has previously said. As one of the first companies to cut ties with MyPillow—days after the Jan. 6 Capitol breach—Bed Bath said it would discontinue sales due to a "number of underperforming items and brands."

And earlier this year, Mr. Lindell told Business Insider that he had to sell a "building I had in Savage, in Minnesota, in October. And I had to borrow 2 million too. I've spent it all on fighting for this country." In March, he told a left-wing news outlet that his business is doing fine after launching what he described as "MyPillow 2.0."

About a year ago, the pillow magnate also said that agents with the FBI seized his cellphone at a fast-food restaurant, also posting a grand jury subpoena from a federal prosecutor in Colorado and what appeared to be a search warrant. The Denver FBI field office told news outlets at the time that “without commenting on this specific matter, I can confirm that the FBI was at that location executing a search warrant authorized by a federal judge.”

“The FBI came after me and took my phone,” Mr. Lindell wrote on Facebook. “They surrounded me in a Hardee’s and took my phone that I run all my business, everything with. What they’ve done is weaponize—the FBI, it’s disgusting. I don’t have a computer. Everything I do [is] off that phone. Everything was on there. And they told me not to tell anybody. Here’s an order: ‘Don’t tell anybody!’ ‘OK, I won’t!’ Well, I am.”

“Fox’s board of directors has blatantly disregarded the need for journalistic standards and failed to put safeguards in place despite having a business model that invites defamation litigation,” said New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, who manages the city’s pension funds.

In a statement, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said the Fox breached its fiduciary duties by disregarding legal risks.

The wife of Democratic Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a strong opponent of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, made up to $1.75 million from stock sales in August, his most recent disclosure form shows.

Blumenthal released a periodic disclosure form on Sept. 19 with stock trades from Aug. 14-24, according to a publicly available senate disclosure database. Blumenthal’s wife sold up to $1.25 million worth of stock in Radius Global Infrastructure and up to $500,000 worth of Keurig Dr. Pepper stock, the form says.

Two of the stock trades were made by Peter L. Malkin Family 2000 LLC and the other was made by LarryMae Partners LLC. Both entities are owned by Blumenthal’s wife, the disclosure form states.

Blumenthal was identified by the New York Times in 2022 as one of 97 members of Congress who had a conflict of interest, and the outlet cited his wife’s transactions. A spokesperson for Blumenthal told the outlet he “neither owns, nor has any vested interest, in any individual stock himself.” His office similarly told the Washington Free Beacon in March 2022 that Blumenthal and his wife do not make any of the trades in their stock portfolio.

The senator’s wife, Cynthia Malkin, is the daughter of real estate investor Peter Malkin, and she married Blumenthal in 1982, according to an an archived New York Times article. Estimates of Blumenthal’s net worth range from roughly $50-$100 million primarily from real estate holdings.

Blumenthal called for Thomas to resign in April after a report accused him of accepting improper gifts from Republican donor Harlan Crow.

Fauci's alleged CIA meeting was revealed in a Tuesday night letter from Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) to the Inspector General of the US Department of Health and Human Services, which demands documents, communications and other evidence between Fauci and the CIA.

This allegation is even more interesting in light of a report from two weeks ago that the CIA bribed analysts to say Covid-19 did not originate in a Chinese lab.

According to a 'senior-level' CIA whistleblower, the agency 'tried to pay off six analysts who found SARS-CoV-2 likely originated in a Wuhan lab if they changed their position and said the virus jumped from animals to humans.'

"According to the whistleblower, at the end of its review, six of the seven members of the Team believed the intelligence and science were sufficient to make a low confidence assessment that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China," reads the letter from Wenstrup.

"The seventh member of the Team, who also happened to be the most senior, was the lone officer to believe COVID-19 originated through zoonosis.

"The whistleblower further contends that to come to the eventual public determination of uncertainty, the other six members were given a significant monetary incentive to change their position," the letters continue, adding that the analysts were "experienced officers with significant scientific expertise."

Wenstrup and Turner also asked for documents and communications between the CIA and other federal agencies, including the State Department, FBI, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Energy Department.

In a separate letter, the House committee leaders identified former CIA Chief Operating Officer Andrew Makridis as having “played a central role” in the COVID investigation and asked him to sit for a transcribed interview. -NY Post

In June, the US Intelligence Community declassified a 10-page report on COVID origins, in which it found "biosafety concerns" and "genetic engineering" taking place in Wuhan, but that most of its "agencies assess that SARS-CoV-2 was not genetically engineered."

As the Committee noted on Tuesday;

Dr. Fauci’s questionable presence at the CIA, coupled with recently uncovered evidence that he, Dr. Fauci, “prompted” the drafting of “Proximal Origin” — the infamous paper that was used to attempt to “disprove” the lab leak theory — lends credence to heightened concerns about the promotion of a false COVID-19 origins narrative by multiple federal government agencies.

Chairman Wenstrup is seeking all documents and communications related to Dr. Fauci’s access to CIA facilities and CIA employees as it relates to these allegations. Also, after becoming aware of additional information, the Select Subcommittee is requesting Special Agent Brett Rowland appear for a transcribed interview regarding Dr. Fauci’s purported movements to and from the CIA. As mounting evidence continues to imply that federal government officials covered-up the origins of COVID-19, investigating any improper influence will ensure future accountability of not only the intelligence community, but also public health officials.

Kiev has lost more than 17,000 servicemen this month alone, according to Russian Defense Ministry

Facing pressure from its Western backers to demonstrate some tangible battleground results, Kiev continues to throw untrained soldiers into the meat grinder, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting of ministry officials on Tuesday.

“Despite the absence of any significant results of the so-called counteroffensive, Ukraine's Western handlers are not backing down from their inhuman principle of “arms as a path to peace’,” Shoigu told a regular briefing of senior military officials.

Kiev does not disclose statistics about its military losses, but according to Moscow's estimates, the number ofUkrainian servicemen killedsince the counteroffensive beganhas now surpassed 83,000, with at least 17,000 killed in September alone.

“The United States and its allies continue to arm the Ukrainian armed forces, while the Kiev regime continues to throw untrained soldiers into senseless assaults and slaughter,” the defense minister noted, adding that such “cynical actions by the West and their henchmen in Kiev are only pushing Ukraine towards self-destruction.”

Washington and its allies sent billions of dollars in direct military aid to Kiev since fighting with Russia escalated in February 2022, including dozens of shipments of heavy weapons, vehicles, and munitions. The latest deliveries have featured the first round of US Abrams main battle tanks, 31 of which were authorized for Ukraine early this year.

Russia has repeatedly warned the West that arms shipments to Ukraine will only prolong the conflict and inflict more civilian suffering, but will not change the outcome.

Evan as Ukraine’s Western backers have become increasingly skeptical about the prospects for the operation, the continue to pour weapons into the country, “blinded” by a goal of inflicting a “strategic defeat” upon Russia, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov recently told the UN General Assembly.
