American single mother Ann Lake, who recently moved to London from New York, arrives at the Little People's Garden pre-school to collect her daughter, Bunny. The child has mysteriously disappeared. An administrator recalls meeting Ann but claims never to have seen the missing child. Ann and her brother Steven search the school and find a peculiar old woman living upstairs, who claims she collects children's nightmares. In desperation, the Lakes call the police and Superintendent Newhouse arrives on the scene. Everyone becomes a suspect and Superintendent Newhouse is steadfast, diligently following every lead. The police and Newhouse decide to visit the Lakes' new residence.

They conclude that all of Bunny's possessions have been removed from the Lakes' new home. Ann cannot understand why anyone would do this and reacts emotionally. Superintendent Newhouse begins to suspect that Bunny Lake does not exist, after he learns that "Bunny" was the name of Ann's imaginary childhood friend. Ann's landlord, an aging actor, attempts to seduce her. Newhouse decides to become better acquainted with Ann to learn more about Bunny. He takes her to a local pub where he plies her with brandy and soda.

On her return home, Ann discovers she still has the claim ticket for Bunny's doll, which was taken to a doll hospital for repairs. Regarding the doll as proof of Bunny's existence, she frantically rushes to the doll hospital late at night and retrieves the doll. Steven arrives later and when Ann shows him the doll, Steven burns the doll, hoping to destroy it, then knocks Ann unconscious. He takes Ann to a hospital and tells the desk nurse that Ann has been hallucinating about a missing girl who does not exist. Ann is put under observation with instructions for her to be sedated if she awakes.

Ann wakes up in the hospital and escapes. She discovers that Steven is burying Bunny's possessions in the garden, and had sedated the little girl, hiding her in the trunk of his car. Steven implies an incestuous interest with his sister, complaining that Bunny has always come between them. Believing that Ann loves Bunny more than him, the child threatens Steven's dream of a future with his sister. Ann, realising her brother is insane, begins playing childhood games with Steven, in order to distract him from killing little Bunny. Newhouse, having discovered that Steven lied to the police about the name of the ship that brought the Lakes to England, rushes quickly to the Lakes' residence, arriving in time to apprehend Steven, successfully rescuing Ann and Bunny.

Crowds have chanted “down with the Communist Party” and “Xi Jinping, step down” in an extraordinary wave of protests across China sparked by anger at draconian Covid restrictions.

Anti-government protests on a scale not seen since 1989’s Tiananmen massacre broke out on Saturday in cities including Xi’an, Nanjing and Shanghai, three of China’s most politically influential cities.

“Down with the Communist party” an angry crowd chanted on Saturday night in Shanghai, a city of more than 25 million people that was brutally locked down for three months earlier in the year.

The protesters sang China’s ­national anthem and held up sheets of blank white paper, a popular symbol of resistance in China where posting anti-government slogans online or displaying them in public can result in swift arrest.

Other protesters were shockingly blunt, even as they were surrounded by large numbers of police. “Xi Jinping, step down” some shouted. Others called out “We want freedom” and “Xinjiang, end lockdown”

In Nanjing, China’s republican capital before the communists took power, hundreds of university students gathered at a night-time vigil on Saturday, shining the lights on their smartphones in unison.

Another group of students protested in Xi’an, a former imperial Chinese capital.

The largest crowds gathered in Urumqi in Xinjiang where thousands resisted police as they ­demanded “end the lockdown” and shouted “I don’t have money to feed myself.”

China’s eruption of dissent was triggered by the deaths of 20 ­people, including three children, in a fire in an apartment block in Urumqi on Thursday night.

Many residents linked the tragedy to Mr Xi’s signature “dynamic zero Covid” policy, which they ­believe stopped victims from ­escaping the flames, although ­Chinese authorities deny this.

Disturbingly for the Communist Party leadership, the spreading tumult follows weeks of riots across the country, including in Guangzhou in China’s south, Chongqing in China’s west and Beijing.

“I’ve lived in China for 30 years, and I’ve never seen such a brazenly open and sustained expression of rage … This is a serious test of CCP governance,” said David Moser, the director of Chinese Studies at Beijing Capital Normal University.

Many in China had hoped that Mr Xi’s recent re-election for an unprecedented third, five-year term as leader would lead to an easing of his stern Covid regime.

Instead, new spartan quarantine centres – called “fangcang” (square cabin) – are being built across the country, as official case numbers reach record highs.

A simultaneous flood of anger online appeared to overwhelm China’s formidable internet censorship regime over the weekend. Commenters shared stories of deaths and economic stress that have been linked to China’s heavy-handed Covid policy.

“First it was the ones who jumped, I didn’t say anything; then those who died in the bus crash … I didn’t say anything at all … then it will be me, and there is no one left to speak for me,” said one viral post.

Others posted historic revolutionary slogans, including from the 1919 May Fourth Movement, a series of anti-imperialist student protests. That era of history is a source of great sensitivity for the CCP, which tries to claim it as a source of its own legitimacy.

Many online netizens vented after seeing videos of the World Cup in Qatar, where fans from around the globe are gathered without masks.

That followed weeks of saturated Chinese media coverage of a maskless Mr Xi in Bali and Bangkok, shaking hands with other world leaders.

Even Hu Xijin, the bombastic former editor-in-chief of the party state masthead The Global Times, suggested Beijing’s policy needed to be adjusted.

However, the Communist Party’s official mouthpiece, the People’s Daily, continued to ­repeat Mr Xi’s orders.

“When facing the grim situation, we must unswervingly carry out ‘dynamic zero-Covid’,” the masthead editorialised at the weekend.

Several weeks ago, rumours swirled that the Covid policy would be relaxed, leading to a sharp rally of Chinese stocks.

Yanzhong Huang told The Australian the forecasts by many China-focused market economists and investors were far too optimistic. Professor Huang, a senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations, said no change would happen until China’s leadership “gave up its zero-Covid mentality”.

He said it was surprising that over the past three months there had been “almost no progress” in increasing the vaccination rate among the elderly or in educating the public about the reduced risks of Covid among a vaccinated population.

Last winter’s Covid outbreak in Hong Kong has influenced Beijing’s refusal to change course. The city had the highest mortality rate recorded in the developed world since vaccines became available.

Ominously, China has much in common with the circumstances in Hong Kong when that wave hit: low vaccination rates among the elderly and a population with little previous immunity to the virus.

Compounding Beijing’s anxiety is its awareness of China’s under-resourced healthcare system. Split occurs over different calendars, ways of calculating festival date

Centuries of dispute between Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches on how to calculate the date of Easter may come to an end if Pope Francis‘ latest appeal is implemented.

Meeting Nov. 19 with Mar Awa III, the head of the Assyrian Church of the East, Francis called for an end to disagreements in how Catholics and Eastern churches determine the date of Easter each spring.

“Let us have the courage to put an end to this division that at times makes us laugh: ‘When does your Christ rise again?,’” Francis told Mar Awa in remarks following their meeting at the Vatican. “I’m willing, yet not [only] me, the Catholic Church is willing to follow what Saint Paul VI said. Agree and we will go where you say,” the pontiff added.

The two bodies fell out over the calculation of Easter after the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar by Pope Gregory XII in 1582. Eastern Orthodox churches still use the Julian Calendar, proposed by Julius Caesar in 46 A.D. The two calendars are 13 days apart, with the Julian trailing the Gregorian.

There is also a question of how the date for Easter should be calculated. The Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. said Easter should be celebrated on the Sunday following the first full moon that falls on or after the spring equinox. In practice, this means Easter can fall between March 22 and April 25.

Orthodox Churches have a different requirement: Easter, or Pascha, must take place following the Jewish observance of Passover.

In 2025, Francis noted in his remarks, the two branches of Christianity will celebrate Easter on the same Sunday.

He said, “2025 is an important year: we will celebrate the anniversary of the first Ecumenical Council (of Nicea), yet it is also important because we will celebrate Easter on the same date.”

Francis told Mar Awa he thanked the Assyrian Christian leader “for having voiced the desire to find a common date for Christians to join in celebrating Easter.”

Early on in the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci and his Democrat constitutes attempted damage control when news started to break that the virus originated from a Wuhan lab leak.

Guardian reporter Jimmy Tobias obtained unredacted emails through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that details a teleconference between Fauci and several virologists discussing the coronavirus and its possible origins on February 1, 2020.

Although Fauci and health officials downplayed the fact that the virus came from a lab leak, the emails indicate that at the time they were very concerned that that possibility was true.

In one thread of emails, scientist Jeremy Farrar of the Wellcome Trust, warned Fauci of the “wild west,” referring to either the landscape of infectious disease research in China or the WIV specifically.

Infectious disease researcher Kristian Andersen put the idea of alerting the FBI and MI5 regarding the furin cleavage site on the spike protein of COVID-19, however, Fauci ignored her concern and decided not to take her advice.

The majority of scientists believe that furin cleavage sites, such as those in COVID-19, are not naturally occurring, which proves that the theory that the virus originated in a laboratory is true.

The former director of the National Institutes of Health, Francis Collins, wrote on February 4: "I'd be interested in the proposal of accidental lab passage in animals (which ones?).”

Collin's emails indicated that he didn’t believe such a reckless experiment could be done in Wuhan, saying “surely that wouldn't be done in a BSL-2 lab (a low biosafety level laboratory)?”

Other scientists in the email threads responded suggesting that anything can happen when it comes to China.

In a recent court filing [Document Here] President Trump through his legal counsel has requested Judge Cannon to unredact and unseal the search warrant affidavit used as the predicate for the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago. Apparently, the DOJ have yet to provide President Trump with the constitutionally required predicate documents to support their search. Additionally, the DOJ previously leaked to media about “empty folders with classified banners” as part of the evidence cache they collected. According to the filing the DOJ has since presented three different versions of their evidence collection list, with the most recent list dropping any claims of “two empty folders with classified banners.”

Russia blasts US over LGBTQ law 'interference'

Diplomats have condemned American attacks on a bill banning "propaganda" related to "non traditional lifestyles"

By criticizing Russian legislation banning LGBTQ, pedophilia, and sex-change propaganda, US officials are interfering in the nation’s internal affairs, Moscow’s embassy in Washington said on Friday. It also urged the US to respect the views of the Russian people.

In a statement, the embassy said it had noted “the statements of numerous of US officials” criticizing the bill, which was approved by Russia’s parliament on Thursday.

“We consider such statements as gross interference in our internal affairs,” the diplomatic mission said, adding that “Russia consistently stands for the protection of traditional family values” and rejects “attempts by Western states, led by the United States, to impose pseudo-liberal and perverted ideas about human rights on other countries.”

The embassy asked the US to respect the decision of Russian citizens “to adhere to moral guidelines” that have been embraced by many generations and are “the basis of Russian civic identity.”

On Thursday, the Russian State Duma passed the third and final reading of a bill completely banning LGBTQ propaganda. The bill ‘on the protection of traditional values’, which was supported by all 397 MPs, criminalizes the promotion of “non-traditional sexual relations” in advertising, books, movies, and media.

The bill envisages hefty fines for violators, with individuals facing a penalty of 400,000 rubles ($6,600), and up to 5 million rubles (around $83,000) for corporate entities, for LGBTQ propaganda. The proposed fines for the promotion of pedophilia are double these amounts, while foreign actors who fail to comply with the legislation would face expulsion from Russia.

The bill has not yet entered into force but is expected to be signed by President Vladimir Putin.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called the legislation “another serious blow to freedom of expression and the human rights of LGBTQI persons in Russia.”

Prior to the vote in the State Duma, Blinken urged Russian lawmakers to withdraw the bill and “respect the human rights and dignity of all.” State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin urged MPs to respond to him by expressing their opinion in the vote.

CEO of Tesla Elon Musk is concerned about a recent tweet that is encouraging arson at Tesla dealerships all across the United States.

The report stemmed from journalist Andy Ngo who shared a screenshot on his Twitter account from a now-suspended user who was calling for members of Antifa to “protest” outside of Tesla dealerships.

The tweet from the now-deleted Antifa-affiliated account read “Tonight in Portland! Every city, every town! Show up at your local Tesla dealerships in protest of Elon Musk!”.

In that same tweet was a picture of a Tesla on Fire, which has Tesla dealerships across the country on high alert.

After looking at the flyer it’s clear that Antifa doesn’t want to “protest” at all but rather start a riot and terror attacks.

Journalist Andy Ngo, who has covered Antifa exclusively for the last several years, reported shortly after the flyer made rounds on the internet, a man with a crowbar in Lynnwood, Washington lit a fire near propane tanks outside of a Tesla building.

On the bright side, many of the users who were inciting violence at Tesla Dealerships have been suspended from Twitter which shows Twitter has finally turned away from their old policies which allowed for BLM and ANTIFA operatives to have immunity from suspension.

The Biden administration had had quite the penchant of not just promoting the latest COVID-19 booster shots, but of doing so through fear-mongering and partisan talking points. The administration even threatened people's jobs and livelihoods if they didn't get the vaccine. Earlier this week, Dr. Anthony Fauci was present at Tuesday's White House press briefing where he also promoted the vaccine, which as Spencer highlighted at the time. erupted in chaos. That's not the most recent or even necessarily memorable way that the White House has harangued people into getting vaccinated.

On Friday morning, as part of a Black Friday tweet which promoted "self-care" and "tak[ing] care of yourself this holiday season, White House Press Secretary Kaine Jean-Pierre tweeted from the official Press Secretary account for people to get their "updated COVID and flu vaccines."

Joe Biden himself received the latest COVID vaccine late last month, his fifth, during which he too engaged in that fear-mongering, including when it comes to those who choose not to get the vaccine or the latest boosters.

"Here’s the bottom line: Virtually every COVID death in America is preventable&ndash;virtually every one," Biden claimed in his remarks. "Almost everyone who will die from COVID this year will not be up to date on their shots or they will not have taken Paxlovid when they got sick."

And, during his time at the podium, on Tuesday, Dr. Fauci had been asked what his most difficult moment of the pandemic was. His response entailed going after the unvaccinated.

"So, when I see people in this country, because of the divisiveness in our country, not getting vaccinated for reasons that have nothing to do with public health but have to do because of divisiveness and ideological differences, as a physician, it pains me because I don’t want to see anybody get infected, I don’t want to see anybody hospitalized, and I don’t want to see anybody die from COVID," he offered.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) considers people up to date on their COVID vaccines "if you have completed a COVID-19 vaccine primary series and received the most recent booster dose recommended for you by CDC."

A report from NBC News in late September, shortly after the release of bivalent boosters, showed that an estimated 3.6 percent of the eligible population had received those shots.

According to the CDC, as of November 17, just 13.1 percent of the population over 18 years old has received the bivalent booster. Even among those 65 and older, that number is at 29.6 percent.

Despite such claims and even demonization about the unvaccinated from this administration, that narrative isn't quite accurate. As Katie highlighted on Wednesday, data from the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) showed that a majority of people who died in August from COVID were fully vaccinated.

The Washington Post's McKenzie Beard also picked up on such data, with her headline currently declaring "Covid is no longer mainly a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Here’s why." As archived versions of the webpage show, the original title was "Vaccinated people now make up a majority of covid deaths."

Other headlines aren't very helpful to the White House's narrative. They include:

"Will Covid Boosters Prevent Another Wave? Scientists Aren’t So Sure," from Apoorva Mandavilli at The New York Times on November 18.

"New boosters add limited protection against Covid-19 illness, first real-world study shows," from Brenda Goodman at CNN on November 22.

"Omicron boosters probably aren’t very effective against mild Covid illness, but will likely prevent hospitalizations, experts say," from Spencer Kimball at CNBC on November 25.

What attention the press secretary's tweet got with replies and quoted retweets were, for the most part, people taking issue with what they saw as such a ridiculous suggestion. Many also pointed to how it came off as if Jean-Pierre was shilling for pharmaceutical companies.

Pushing anti-Iran and anti-Russian narratives, the US-led media propaganda campaign has been confirmed by Meta.

Meta has acknowledged that it has discovered numerous clusters of fake accounts and pages that were initially believed to be linked to individuals "associated with the US military," according to the company's latest adversarial threat report.

The report, published last week, writes “Although the people behind this operation attempted to conceal their identities and coordination, our investigation found links to individuals associated with the US military."

In total, Meta removed 39 Facebook and 26 Instagram accounts, in addition to 16 pages and 2 groups. The influence campaign was discovered earlier this week. The groups and accounts were removed for violating Facebook's policies regarding "coordinated inauthentic behavior."

The company announced that the large-scale operation stretched beyond just a few dozen accounts, and rather included even more internet platforms, including Twitter, YouTube, and Telegram. Even major Russian social media platforms, such as VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, were included in the operation.

The “majority of this operation’s posts had little to no engagement from authentic communities.”

The campaigns were largely aimed at countries such as Iran or Central Asia, where there is resistance to US foreign policy.

An investigation by The Washington Post revealed that the Pentagon was forced to launch a “sweeping audit of how it conducts clandestine information warfare" after Meta's findings.

Researchers at Graphika and the Standford Internet Observatory in August published a report about online networks that pushes "pro-Western", anti-Russian narratives.

In September, a report by The Washington Post revealed that in 2020, Facebook and Twitter employees contacted the Pentagon to voice concerns regarding fake accounts they believed had ties with the US military.

Detecting accounts that Facebook and Twitter suspected to be part of the US military conducting psyops, the two social media giants took down about 150 fake profiles and media sites. Psy-ops are a war tactic used frequently by the US, which it has been accusing Russia of doing since 2020.

At the time, the Biden administration repeatedly requested that the Pentagon provide more information regarding its psyop policies - or, 'online influence campaigns.'

In 2019, the US Congress gave the green light when it passed Section 1631, which allowed the military to conduct psyops as long as it does not infringe on the CIA's covert authority, knowing that the law exempts such activities from the oversight system.

Dr. Michael Banner defended a scholar who compared a wound on Christ’s body to a vagina, according to the outlet

The dean of Trinity College in Cambridge has called speculation that Jesus Christ might have been transgender “legitimate,” The Telegraph reported on Saturday. Dr. Michael Banner made the statement in defense of a junior research fellow who claimed that Jesus' body incorporates both masculine and feminine features.

During last Sunday’s evensong service in the college chapel, Cambridge research student Joshua Heath displayed Renaissance and Medieval paintings of Jesus’ crucifixion while asserting that one of the wounds on his body “takes on a decidedly vaginal appearance,” according to the newspaper.

To prove his point, Heath used the 14th-century painting ‘Pieta with the Holy Trinity’ by Jean Malouel, which is a part of the Louvre’s collection. The painting depicts Jesus with a side wound, from which blood is streaming down to the groin.

“In Christ's simultaneously masculine and feminine body in these works, if the body of Christ [is] as these works suggest the body of all bodies, then his body is also the trans body,” Heath said, as quoted by the outlet.

The congregation was apparently shocked, with one of its members telling The Telegraph that he “left the service in tears.” He said he was “contemptuous of the idea that by cutting a hole in a man, through which he can be penetrated, he can become a woman,” describing the opinion as a “heresy for our age.”

Banner stated in comments seen by The Telegraph that he thinks the “speculation was legitimate, whether or not you or I or anyone else disagrees with the interpretation, says something else about that artistic tradition, or resists its application to contemporary questions around transsexualism.”

At the same time, the dean insisted that while the opinion was the speaker’s own, he “would not issue an invitation to someone who I thought would deliberately seek to shock or offend a congregation” or speak against Christianity.

Last week, students held protests against the presence at a Cambridge Union debate of Professor Kathleen Stock, who was forced to resign from her post at Sussex University in 2021 after she said humans cannot change sex. The beleaguered scholar was on campus to express her views on the topic of free speech, not on transgender rights.

Affidavit Alleges Classified Material Found in Defendant’s Home and Car

Baltimore, Maryland – A criminal complaint has been filed charging Harold Thomas Martin III, age 51, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, with theft of government property and unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials by a government employee or contractor. According to the affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, Martin was a contractor with the federal government and had a top secret national security clearance. Martin was arrested late on August 27, 2016. The complaint was filed on August 29, 2016, and unsealed today.

The criminal complaint was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Assistant Attorney General for National Security John P. Carlin; and Special Agent in Charge Gordon B. Johnson of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Baltimore Field Office.

According to the affidavit, on August 27, 2016, search warrants were executed at Martin’s residence in Glen Burnie, including two storage sheds, as well as upon his vehicle and person. During execution of the warrants, investigators located hard copy documents and digital information stored on various devices and removable digital media. A large percentage of the materials recovered from Martin’s residence and vehicle bore markings indicating that they were property of the United States and contained highly classified information of the United States, including Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). In addition, investigators located property of the United States with an aggregate value in excess of $1,000, which Martin allegedly stole.

The complaint alleges that among the classified documents found in the search were six classified documents obtained from sensitive intelligence and produced by a government agency in 2014. These documents were produced through sensitive government sources, methods, and capabilities, which are critical to a wide variety of national security issues. The disclosure of the documents would reveal those sensitive sources, methods, and capabilities.

The documents have been reviewed by a person designated as an original classification authority, and in each instance, the authority has determined that the documents are currently and properly classified as Top Secret, meaning that unauthorized disclosure reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to the national security of the United States.

If convicted, Martin faces a maximum sentence of one year in prison for the unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials, and ten years in prison for theft of government property. An initial appearance was held for Martin in U.S. District Court in Baltimore on August 29, 2016. Martin remains detained. A criminal complaint is not a finding of guilt.

An individual charged by criminal complaint is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceedings.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the FBI for its work in the investigation and thanked the Maryland State Police for its assistance. Mr. Rosenstein thanked Assistant U.S. Attorneys Zachary A. Myers, Harvey E. Eisenberg and Trial Attorney David Aaron of the Justice Department’s National Security Division, who are prosecuting the case.

This poster just didn't know that the FBI was handed a ton of evidence of "issues" in the 2020 election. I'm aware the FBI cyber division was involved in part of what was handed to them because, Audit Anon was debriefed several times by two FBI S/As. (Do I trust the DOJ? At the top of each page note the PARTY (Dem, Lib or Rep), and the totals in the top 3 lines - Absentee, Early Vote, Election Day. Those top three lines are the same on each page by party.

From this starting point, we can tally up all three ballot types (Absentee, Early, Election Day) by party, and eventually arrive at the total voter turnout for each county, and total those to arrive at total voter turnout for the entire state.

There is another file called the Voter History file. It is public record. I've attached a few snippets of a wide and long spreadsheet, with just a few voters (last names and DOB whited out) just to prove to ANONS that I really do have this file. I'm not uploading the whole file.

VOTER HISTORY EXPORT FILE The last download date from the NMSOS was June 16, 2020. The first three images are from that final file. Theoretically, the numbers aren't supposed to change after that date.This lists every voter that voted in the 2020 Primary, and where/how they voted (amongst a lot of other data).

Let's compare the two website totals in the previous post to the totals from the voter by voter actual turnout.

The first column displays the total number of voters that cast a ballot as listed by the "VHE" .

Notice that tthe voter turnout in EVERY COUNTY is lower than what the NMSOS posted as the official results.

<As an aside, I noticed that one of my counterparts in another county, and his wife, had not voted according to the "VHE" file. I called. He and his wife insisted that they voted on election day, and that the list of voters who voted in his county (obtained from the local clerk, not the NMSOS) indicated he had voted. He was stunned to learn his & wife's name were not included on the state record. >

PRELIMINARY AUDIT CONCLUSION:

a) Either the numbers in the right two columns were fabricated, increased to change election results, OR

b) A heck of a lot of voter records were deleted from the voter database.

I've already posted 2022 General election records deleted, which involved voters who had requested absentee ballots, and most were mailed absentee ballots.

It’s Time to Stop Using the ‘Fire in a Crowded Theater’ Quote

Oliver Wendell Holmes made the analogy during a controversial Supreme Court case that was overturned more than 40 years ago.

Ninety-three years ago, Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote what is perhaps the most well-known yet misquoted and misused phrase in Supreme Court history: "The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man in falsely shouting fire in a theatre and causing a panic."

Without fail, whenever a free speech controversy hits, someone will cite this phrase as proof of limits on the First Amendment. And whatever that controversy may be, "the law"as some have curiously called itcan be interpreted to suggest that we should err on the side of censorship. Holmes' quote has become a crutch for every censor in America, yet the quote is wildly misunderstood.

The latest example comes from New York City councilmen Peter Vallone, who declared yesterday "Everyone knows the example of yelling fire in a crowded movie theater," as he called for charges against pseudonymous Twitter @ComfortablySmug for spreading false information during Hurricane Sandy. Other commentators have endorsed Vallone's suggestions, citing the same quote as established precedent.

In the last few years, the quote has reared its head on countless occasions. In September, commentators pointed to it when questioning whether the controversial anti-Muslim video should be censored. Before that, it was invoked when a crazy pastor threatened to burn Qurans. Before that, the analogy was twisted to call for charges against WikiLeaks for publishing classified information. The list goes on.

But those who quote Holmes might want to actually read the case where the phrase originated before using it as their main defense. If they did, they'd realize it was never binding law, and the underlying case, U.S. v. Schenck, is not only one of the most odious free speech decisions in the Court's history, but was overturned over 40 years ago.

First, it's important to note U.S. v. Schenck had nothing to do with fires or theaters or false statements. Instead, the Court was deciding whether Charles Schenck, the Secretary of the Socialist Party of America, could be convicted under the Espionage Act for writing and distributing a pamphlet that expressed his opposition to the draft during World War I. As the ACLU's Gabe Rottman explains, "It did not call for violence. It did not even call for civil disobedience."

The Court's description of the pamphlet proves it to be milder than any of the dozens of protests currently going on around this country every day:

It said, "Do not submit to intimidation," but in form, at least, confined itself to peaceful measures such as a petition for the repeal of the act. The other and later printed side of the sheet was headed "Assert Your Rights."

The crowded theater remark that everyone remembers was an analogy Holmes made before issuing the court's holding. He was explaining that the First Amendment is not absolute. It is what lawyers call dictum, a justice's ancillary opinion that doesn't directly involve the facts of the case and has no binding authority. The actual ruling, that the pamphlet posed a "clear and present danger" to a nation at war, landed Schenk in prison and continued to haunt the court for years to come.

Two similar Supreme Court cases decided later the same yearDebs v. U.S. and Frohwerk v. U.S.also sent peaceful anti-war activists to jail under the Espionage Act for the mildest of government criticism. (Read Ken White's excellent, in-depth dissection of these cases.) Together, the trio of rulings did more damage to First Amendment as any other case in the 20th century.

In 1969, the Supreme Court's decision in Brandenburg v. Ohio effectively overturned Schenck and any authority the case still carried. There, the Court held that inflammatory speechand even speech advocating violence by members of the Ku Klux Klanis protected under the First Amendment,unless the speech "is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action"(emphasis mine).

Today, despite the "crowded theater" quote's legal irrelevance, advocates of censorship have not stopped trotting it out as thefinal word on the lawful limits of the First Amendment. As Rottman wrote, for this reason, it's "worse than useless in defining the boundaries of constitutional speech. When used metaphorically, it can be deployed against any unpopular speech." Worse, its advocates are tacitly endorsing one of the broadest censorship decisions ever brought down by the Court. It is quite simply, as Ken White calls it, "the most famous and pervasive lazy cheat in American dialogue about free speech."

Even Justice Holmes may have quickly realized the gravity of his opinions in Schneck and its companion cases. Later in the same term, Holmes suddenly dissented in a similar case, Abrams vs. United States, which sent Russian immigrants to jail under the Espionage Act. It would become the first in a long string of dissents Holmes and fellow Justice Louis Brandeis would write in defense of free speech that collectively laid the groundwork for Court decisions in the 1960s and 1970s that shaped the First Amendment jurisprudence of today.

In what would become his second most famous phrase, Holmes wrote in Abrams that the marketplace of ideas offered the best solution for tamping down offensive speech: "The ultimate good desired is better reached by free trade in ideas &ndash; that the best test of truth is the power of the thought to get itself accepted in the competition of the market, and that truth is the only ground upon which their wishes safely can be carried out."

In @ComfortablySmug's case during Hurricane Sandy, that is exactly what happened. Within minutes of sending out his false tweets, journalists discovered he was spreading rumors and quickly corrected the record, sounding the alarm not to trust his information. Regardless, no one was hurt because of his misinformation. The next day, @ComfortablySmug (whose real name is Shashank Tripathi) apologized and resigned from his job as the campaign manager of a House Republican candidate in New York in response to the public's reaction to his actions.

The truth prevailed, not through forcing censorship or jailing a person for speaking, but through the overwhelming counterbalance of more speech. As Holmes said after his soliloquy in Abrams, "That, at any rate, is the theory of our Constitution."

Abstract

Large-scale COVID-19 vaccinations are currently underway in many countries in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here, we report, besides generation of neutralizing antibodies, consistent alterations in hemoglobin A1c, serum sodium and potassium levels, coagulation profiles, and renal functions in healthy volunteers after vaccination with an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. Similar changes had also been reported in COVID-19 patients, suggesting that vaccination mimicked an infection. Single-cell mRNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) before and 28 days after the first inoculation also revealed consistent alterations in gene expression of many different immune cell types. Reduction of CD8 T cells and increase in classic monocyte contents were exemplary. Moreover, scRNA-seq revealed increased NF-κB signaling and reduced type I interferon responses, which were confirmed by biological assays and also had been reported to occur after SARS-CoV-2 infection with aggravating symptoms. Altogether, our study recommends additional caution when vaccinating people with pre-existing clinical conditions, including diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, renal dysfunction, and coagulation disorders.

Discussion

This is a comprehensive investigation of the pathophysiological changes, including detailed immunological alterations in people after COVID-19 vaccination. Results indicated that vaccination, in addition to stimulating the generation of neutralizing antibodies, also influenced various health indicators including those related to diabetes, renal dysfunction, cholesterol metabolism, coagulation problems, electrolyte imbalance, in a way as if the volunteers experienced an infection. scRNA-seq of PBMCs from volunteers before and after vaccination revealed dramatic changes in immune cell gene expression, not only echoing some of the clinical laboratory measures but also suggestive of increased NF-κB-related inflammatory responses, which turned out to be mainly taking place in classical monocytes. Vaccination also increased classical monocyte contents. Moreover, the gene set positively contributing to MVS scores, also known to be associated with severe symptom development, was highly expressed in monocytes. Type I interferon (IFN-α/β) responses, supposedly beneficial against COVID-19, were downregulated after vaccination. In addition, the negative MVS genes were highly expressed in lymphocytes (T, B, and NK cells), yet showed reduced expression after vaccination. Together, these data suggested that after vaccination, at least by day 28, other than generation of neutralizing antibodies, people’s immune systems, including those of lymphocytes and monocytes, were perhaps in a more vulnerable state.

The goal was always to lay out lessons embedded in the articles that might help more people open their eyes to the specifics of what is taking place, and therefore to be able to do something about it. The stakes are pretty high—this is a historical battle in the larger World War E. There is no simple preview, but here are some of the topics we hit:

A giant cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, and its companion quant trading/investment firm, Alameda Research, have collapsed in what appears to be a leveraged Ponzi-esque event that poisoned many other businesses in the nascent crypto-finance ecosystem. This isn't exactly the right story, and I aim to clarify.

FTX was likely one of several available attempts by the Globalist Elite to establish the intended new global financial network and currency.

A second attempt to control digital currencies is likely planned to take place through the regulatory system, using the FTX debacle as the excuse.

The flood of information about the first point seems meant to obscure the second, third, and other points.

The pandemic is the fog of war intended to create the opportunity and obscure the activities behind this plan.

This plan connects a lot of stories, including the activities of Bill Gates and Jeffrey Epstein. It weaves through MIT Media Labs along the way, but goes to the heart of the powers who ultimately control the military-intelligence-banking complex—and that includes the pedophile elite. Whitney Webb has done us great favors tunneling toward much of this, but hasn't yet reached the core (an overly tall task for any one person).

Russia rebukes Canada over 'alien' gender beliefs.

The Russian embassy in Canada has blasted the country’s government over its opposition to a new law criminalizing the spread of LGBTQ “propaganda” in Russia. Canadians should keep their “alien” beliefs to themselves, the diplomatic mission stressed on Saturday, reminding them that there are only two genders.

The measure bans “propaganda” normalizing non-traditional relations, pedophilia, and gender reassignment, and passed the upper house of Russia’s State Duma on Thursday. Widely seen as a follow-up to a 2013 law prohibiting the spread of LGBTQ materials among minors, it extends this ban to “both minors and adults.”

Canada condemned the passage of the bill, accusing Russian lawmakers of creating “a climate of fear and intimidation” among LGBTQ people and “impacting the human rights of all in Russia.” The condemnation was signed by 33 other members of the ‘Equal Rights Coalition,’ a group of mostly Western nations dedicated to promoting gay rights around the world.

By opposing the bill, Canada is “deliberately distorting reality by conflating the concepts of individual sexual preferences and universal human rights,” the Russian embassy wrote on Twitter. “There is no discrimination in Russia with respect to the rights of sexual and other kinds of minorities,” the embassy continued. “However…a person's freedom ends where another man’s freedom begins.”

“We believe that non-traditional relations propaganda…infringes the rights of the traditional majority of Russian citizens willing to protect themselves and their children from being imposed with precepts that are alien to their spiritual and moral values,” the tweet read.

Sen. Chris Murphy on Sunday suggested withholding federal funds from law enforcement agencies that refuse to enforce state and national gun laws in the wake of mass shootings in Colorado and Virginia.

Murphy (D-Conn.), an outspoken advocate for gun control laws and an assault weapons ban, said the Senate needs to have a conversation about funding law enforcement outfits that balk at implementing gun laws in “Second Amendment sanctuaries.”

“They have decided that they are going to essentially refuse to implement laws that are on the books. That is a growing problem in this country,” Murphy said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
