National Guard Cybersecurity Experts Ready to Help During Midterms: ‘We Are Citizen Soldiers’

National Guard cybersecurity experts are gearing up to assist during the midterm elections in multiple states in case of potential threats, officials said on Friday, Politico reported.

According to the outlet:

The support ahead, during and after the midterm elections in the 14 states on Tuesday comes after National Guard Cyber Forces provided support to eight states during primary elections earlier this year. Overall, there are 38 cyber units within the National Guard as a whole consisting of over 2,200 personnel that provide support to state and local officials on issues including network assessments and risk mitigation.

In supporting the midterms, National Guard officials will work and receive security updates from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, which is the key agency tasked with protecting election infrastructure against cyber threats.

The states participating are listed as North Carolina, Arizona, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, Washington, and West Virginia.

Meanwhile, officials with the National Guard who will be supervising the security measures on Tuesday say the service component must invest more in units working against threats, Military.com reported Friday.

“We’re in the early days of cyber. We’re in the biplane era, the early years. Funding, policy, all the infrastructure we need is missing,” said Maj. Gen Richard Neely, who is the adjunct general of the Illinois National Guard.

“Some of our states do an extremely great job, but we’re all on a journey. Much like we need helicopters in every state, we need cyber capabilities in each state. And we need a robust structure to build around,” he added.

However, officials have reportedly not identified any specific cyber threats to the upcoming election.

Maj. Gen. Todd Hunt, adjutant general of the North Carolina National Guard, said his state has 10 cyber personnel but more officials will join them on Election Day.

Hunt explained, “We are citizen soldiers, we live in this state, and we do have a vested interest in our state elections as well as our federal elections.”

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden (D) this week warned citizens of Republicans taking power in the midterm elections, Breitbart News reported Wednesday:

“We the people must decide whether the rule of law will prevail or whether we will allow the dark forces and … thirst for power put ahead of the principles that have long guided us,” Biden said during a speech delivered inside Union Station.

Biden’s speech was sharply partisan, ignoring Democrats who protested the results of the 2016 election falsely declaring Trump an illegitimate president elected because of Russian influence. He also ignored incidents of Democrat political violence and political figures who refused to acknowledge legitimate elections.

Despite his warnings, Breitbart News Washington bureau chief Matt Boyle said during an interview Sunday, “The Republicans are clearly on a pathway to the majority” in the Senate.

USPS District Mgr Confirms…MI SOS Jocelyn Benson LIED on Taxpayer-Funded Website About Postal Workers Depositing Stacks of Bags “Normal” and “Legal Activity” For Postal Workers to Drop Stacks of Absentee Ballots Into Drop Boxes

100 Percent Fed Up exclusive– On June 13, The Gateway Pundit and 100 Percent Fed Up released Detroit drop box surveillance footage showing a US Postal worker wearing credentials around his neck and wearing what appears to be blue jeans, exiting an official US Post Office vehicle with a large stack of ballots. The ballots were deposited on October 26, 2020, SIX days before the general election.

As he leaves the US Postal vehicle, the passenger heads to the absentee ballot drop box, where he drops multiple ballots into the drop box while discreetly using his cell phone to take photos or a video of his activity. He’s holding the cell phone in his hand in the screenshot below.

The incident occurred at a drop box in front of the Liberty Temple Baptist Church at 1300 E. Seven Mile in Detroit. There is a US Post Office located only two miles away from the drop box used by the passenger of the US Postal vehicle.

Shortly after we released the video from October 26, we shared another video that was taken on November 2, 2020, showing a female US postal worker making multiple trips to an absentee ballot drop box. During a podcast with True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips, Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit and Patty McMurray of 100 Percent Fed Up explained how one US Postal worker could be seen making THREE trips* in ONE day to the same drop box and depositing multiple ballots each time. (*In the video, Jim Hoft inadvertently said the postal worker made four trips).

On her second trip to the absentee ballot drop box at the Liberty Temple Baptist Church, the female US Postal worker can be seen walking around the back of her official US Post Office vehicle. As she gets closer to the drop boxes, which are monitored by surveillance cameras, she can be seen pulling up her face mask. Does she suddenly pull up her face mask to prevent the spread of COVID while standing by herself at the drop box, or is she more concerned about being identified on the footage? On her fourth visit to the same drop box on the same day, the postal worker arrives with a stack of ballots that she deposits into the drop box, but this time, she’s driving a white SUV with no official US Postal markings while still wearing her US Postal worker uniform.

In 1985, the prime minister Bob Hawke travelled across Australia to Perth to greet the highest ranking Chinese Communist Party official ever to visit this country at that point.

Hu Yaobang was party chairman and viewed back then as the likely successor to supreme leader, Deng Xiaoping.

It was a five-day good-will visit that would redefine relations between Australia and China and underwrite Australia's prosperity for the next four decades.

China had few disagreements with Australia, the paper noted: "Trade is growing, and no major issue clouds the relationship such as Taiwan does for China and the United States."

It is worth recalling that the CCP's official policy towards Taiwan was no different then than it is today.

Deng Xiaoping would have uttered exactly the same words as Xi Jinping — that China reserved the right to use force to "reunify" Taiwan with the mainland.

Taiwan then, just as now, was a flashpoint between Washington and Beijing.

Consider the numbers. Between 1977 and 1984, two-way trade between our nations grew from just over $500 million to $1.2 billion — a growth rate of 12 per cent.

But in one year between 1984–85, Australia's exports to China exploded by more than 70 per cent. In one year, China went from being Australia's 10th largest market to its fifth largest.

Whitmer Falsely Claims She Never Sent COVID Patients to Nursing Homes

Gretchen Whitmer, the Democrat governor of Michigan, has attempted to whitewash her policy that put Covid-19 patients in nursing homes. Whitmer was one of several Democrat governors who implemented this plan, as did Pennsylvania’s Tom Wolf and New York’s disgraced former governor Andrew Cuomo. The plan led to higher death rates in states that followed this policy, while Whitmer’s Administration has specifically been accused of covering up deaths.

When asked if she regretted her decision regarding nursing home policy, she blamed her Republican opponent Tudor Dixon for spreading lies. “My opponent continues to tell people that nursing homes were forced to take Covid patients. They were not. They never were,” Whitmer told Fox 2 in Detroit.

Contrary to the governor’s statement, it has been well documented that she had much to do with Covid-19 patients in nursing homes. Even PolitiFact, a left-leaning fact checking site, confirmed as such. According to PolitiFact, “Whitmer issued an executive order on April 15 that required nursing homes with available capacity to create a dedicated unit to isolate residents with COVID-19 and accept COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals.”

PolitiFact’s article also added that certain nursing homes were to be designated as “regional hubs” and made to take in more infected people who were unable to be properly cared for and isolated from others.

Whitmer’s initial executive order came on April 15, 2020. By the time PolitiFact wrote the above article in March 2021, approximately 15,000 people died with Covid in the state of Michigan. Around one-third of those deaths occurred in nursing homes.

Remarkably, Whitmer’s recent interview is not the only time that she has attempted to deny her culpability for the nursing home policy. In June 2020, she cited CDC guidelines as to why her state had enacted this policy.

It was revealed in 2021 that Whitmer used taxpayer funds to incentivize nursing homes to take infected patients. According to Michigan News Source, “Whitmer chose 21 nursing homes to take COVID-19 positive patients, six of which received 2-star ratings and were considered below average. Three ranked much below average with one-star ratings according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Each facility was paid $5,000 upfront for a COVID-19 positive patient and $200 per day per bed after that.”

Whitmer faces a strong challenge from Dixon according to polls. Where Whitmer enjoyed a significant edge as recent as last month, a recent Trafalgar poll has Dixon and Whitmer at a dead heat as Tuesday’s midterms approach.

Over 50 countries vote against anti-Nazism UN measure

Last year, the resolution combating the glorification of Nazism was opposed by just the US and Ukraine

A UN resolution opposing the celebration of Nazism and related ideologies has met with significant resistance from the US and other western democracies, with 52 countries voting against it on Friday.

The draft resolution "Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance," introduced by Russia’s representative to the UN, was adopted with 105 votes in support. In addition to the 52 votes against it, 15 countries abstained from choosing sides.

The resolution expresses profound concern about glorifying Nazism, neo-Nazism and former Waffen SS members, condemning the construction of monuments and the holding of public ceremonies honoring the Third Reich. Introducing the resolution, the Russian delegate referenced an increase in xenophobia, anti-migrant sentiment, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism, among other forms of discrimination, as necessitating it.

The US and several of its allies attempted to explain their vote against the measure by claiming Russia was exploiting Nazi atrocities to justify its military operation in Ukraine, insisting that to join them in condemning the lionization of Nazis would be letting them get away with weaponizing the Holocaust to serve their nefarious ends.

The UK accused Moscow of "furthering lies and distorting history," even while acknowledging it was using "legitimate human rights concerns raised by neo-Nazism mobilization" to justify its activities in Ukraine. The US went further, arguing that Russia’s "pretextual use of fighting neo-Nazism undermines genuine attempts to combat neo-Nazism." And Ukraine claimed Moscow’s anti-Nazism message had "nothing in common with the genuine fight against Nazism and neo-Nazism," which Kiev stressed it condemned in all forms.

Australia, Japan, Liberia and North Macedonia proposed an amendment to clarify that while they were very much anti-Nazi, they were also profoundly anti-Russian. Their addition "notes with alarm that the Russian Federation has sought to justify its territorial aggression against Ukraine on the purported basis of eliminating neo-Nazism," reminding everyone that the "pretextual use of neo-Nazism to justify territorial aggression seriously undermines genuine attempts to combat neo-Nazism."

Russia opposed the amendment, accusing the writers of "trying to drive a wedge between states" by dropping it on the committee at the last minute. It was adopted with 63 votes approving, 23 against, and 65 abstaining.

Moscow introduced a similar resolution last year, before the military operation in Ukraine had begun but after the US-backed coup had installed a government that allowed neo-Nazi groups like the Azov Battalion and lionized Stepan Bandera, the Ukrainian Nazi collaborator whose Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists was responsible for the massacre of tens of thousands of Poles and Jews during World War II. The 2021 resolution was opposed by just two states: the US and Ukraine.

The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund was a nonprofit organization founded on January 16, 2010, by former US Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, to aid the victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Donations and grants

The Clinton Bush Haiti fund raised $54.4 million from more than 2,000,000 individuals, businesses, and organizations. It dispersed funds to more than 50 organizations through grants, loans, and equity investments. As of December 2012, the Fund estimated that its programs sustained or created 7,350 jobs, trained 20,050 individuals, and had an additional positive impact on the conditions of more than 311,000 Haitians.

Key focus areas for funding included providing small and growing businesses with access to financing, business services, and entrepreneurship training (36%); facilitating job training and workforce development (31%); responding to critical, unmet needs (23%); and supporting the recovery and expansion of microfinance institutions, many of whose beneficiaries are women (10%).

After the Fund ceased formal operations on December 31, 2012, the Multilateral Investment Fund, a member of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, took over management of programs which had not yet been fully completed and began receiving funds from remaining loans. They are charged with reinvesting loan repayments into programs consistent with the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund's mission of promoting economic opportunity in Haiti.

Energy developments in British Columbia are booming such that on Friday, Enbridge Inc revealed a $3.6 billion expansion to its gas pipeline in the province citing surging demand.

Enbridge is also considering a further $1.9 billion expansion in northern BC at the same time.

The province is now pumping out natural gas at a record rate nearing 18 billion cubic feet a day.

“Given the outlook for Western Canada supply, we are seeing strong customer interest for more egress for LNG exports and downstream access,” Enbridge CEO Al Monaco told stakeholders.

The expansion announced today could add an additional 300 million cubic feet per day capacity to the company’s operations in the province. Gas will be delivered to southern BC and beyond.

Natural gas pipelines are also contributing thousands of jobs to the province’s economy
