Reports on the early morning attack on Paul Pelosi, the 82-year-old husband of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), state that Pelosi was “severely beaten” on the head and body with a hammer in an attack that allegedly targeted the Pelosi home. Nancy Pelosi was in Washington, D.C. according to her office. A suspect was taken into custody.

CNN reported on the use of a hammer, “From @WhitneyWReports & @JohnMillerCNN: Per law enforcement sources, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Paul Pelosi, was attacked in his SF area home overnight by a male assailant who used a hammer in the attack. Nancy Pelosi was in DC at the time.”

The suspect who attacked Paul Pelosi, House speaker’s husband, specifically targeted their San Francisco home, people familiar with the matter said Friday.

Pelosi was attacked and severely beaten by an assailant with a hammer. Pelosi, 82, suffered blunt force trauma to his head and body, according to the two people with knowledge of the investigation into the attack who spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing probe…

The AP described Pelosi’s injuries as “bruising, severe swelling and other injuries.”

A statement by Nancy Pelosi’s office claimed Paul Pelosi “is expected to make a full recovery.”

The San Francisco Police released a statement on the attack, “On 10/28/22, at 2:27 am, SFPD responded to the 2600 block of Broadway for a home break-in. During the incident an 82 y/o male was attacked. The suspect was taken into custody. The victim was transported to a local hospital. SFPD Chief Scott will address the media at police HQ.”

During the California break-in, the Speaker’s husband was assaulted, but he is now recovering.

The San Francisco Police Department has the suspect in custody. The motivation for the attack is still under investigation.

Special Agents with the USCP’s California Field Office quickly arrived on scene, while a team of investigators from the Department’s Threat Assessment Section was simultaneously dispatched from the East Coast to assist the FBI and the San Francisco Police with a joint investigation.

Tuesday’s Georgia Supreme Court Ruling Will Likely Lead to Audit of 147,000 Suspected Fraudulent Ballots in Fulton County in the 2020 Election

The Georgia Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that Georgia citizens, including voters, have the right to sue government officials who violate state law. This ruling puts the review of 147,000 ballots in Fulton County Georgia from the 2020 Election back in play.

Georgia’s Supreme Court, the highest court in the land for Georgia elections, ruled on Tuesday that citizens do have the right to sue their government officials when they violate state law. This ruling is consistent with nearly every ruling to date on this matter.

VoterGA’s case against Fulton County is greatly impacted by this ruling. In a court filing in December 2020, VoterGA requested based on a list of issues, that the court rule on the 2020 Election in Fulton County, in part, as follows:

90 Day Freeze on Cleaning Voter Rolls Allows Voter Fraud and Needs to Be Challenged at the Supreme Court

The RNC has 17 “Election Integrity Directors” placed in various States. Their role is to recruit poll watchers, collaborate with state parties and stakeholders, and promote secure elections. Their names and the areas they service are not publicly available. Melissa Conway is the RNC Integrity Director for TX. She also founded the Texas Election Network, which filed affidavits challenging over 6,000 voter registrations in Harris County, TX (Houston).

After massive research and canvassing, they told the county these voters did not reside at the addresses on their registration records. Harris County didn’t remove a single one from the voter rolls. Another 49 challenges came after Aug. 10th, the deadline for the 90 day freeze on voter rolls. Many jurisdictions follow this questionable federal law. It says voters can’t be removed from voter rolls within 90 days of a federal election.

The DOJ Civil Rights Division is made up entirely of Democrat employees. Back in 2012 they did not want the removal of 180,000 non citizens from the FL voters rolls. They sued Florida, claiming the 1993 NVRA (Motor Voter) law bars officials from removing any voters from the rolls within 90 days of the election. This is now called the “90 day freeze”. Florida fought this case and originally won. But it was appealed by the DOJ. The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, with a 3-judge panel, overturned that ruling in 2014. Two of these judges decided it was illegal to clean voter rolls within 90 days.

The Heritage Foundation in 2014 explained how the NVRA laws is meant to freeze “regular maintenance activities” inside 90 days of a federal election. This means no “general maintenance” program can be conducted within 90 days. However, officials may strike from the rolls any registrant who has died, has requested cancellation, or to correct a mistaken registration. It essentially means States can remove a few voters, here or there. They just can’t use any of their regular systems or processes. It’s hard to believe they are not allowed to database match against DL records, and remove illegal voters in bulk.

Twitter has unlocked the account of controversial rapper and entrepreneur Kanye “Ye” West. Billionaire Elon Musk earlier pledged to return freedom of speech to the social media platform.

West’s account became visible just hours after Musk completed his $44 billion takeover of Twitter on Thursday night. It had been locked on October 9, after the rapper posted a tweet saying, “I’m going death con 3 on Jewish people.”

At least four high-ranking Twitter executives, including CEO Parag Agrawal, were reportedly fired after Musk closed the deal. The Tesla CEO made his takeover bid for the platform in April, saying he was a “free speech absolutist” and that he planned to unlock the company’s full value by ending its overwrought censorship practices. China Admits Using Pandemic to Expand Police ‘Service Centers’ Abroad

In the course of attempting to spin the alarming discovery of Chinese police stations in foreign countries as merely “service centers” for Chinese living abroad, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin on Wednesday admitted the Communist tyranny used the coronavirus pandemic it unleashed as an opportunity to greatly expand its operations in other countries.

Wang was responding to reports in Dutch media about a government investigation into at least two illegally-operated Chinese police stations in the Netherlands, whose primary purpose appears to have been manipulating, intimidating, and silencing Chinese dissidents living abroad.

The UK Guardian noted the Dutch investigation was just the tip of a very ugly iceberg, as China allegedly opened dozens of these overseas oppression dispensaries across Europe and beyond:

The stations were first identified by a Spanish civil rights group, Safeguard Defenders, in a September report, which alleged that the Fuzhou and Qingtian police agencies had between them opened 54 “overseas service centres” in 25 cities across 21 countries.

Most were located in Europe, the report said, including nine in Spain, four in Italy, three in France, two in the Netherlands and two in the UK, in London and Glasgow. It said part of their purpose was to “persuade” dissidents to return to China.

“These operations eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation, violate the international rule of law, and may violate the territorial integrity of third countries by setting up a parallel policing mechanism using illegal methods,” the report said.

One of his first acts as owner included firing some of the social media giant’s top executives, including CEO Parag Agrawal, CEO Ned Segal, and Vijaya Gadde, or as Breitbart News noted, “the ‘trust and safety’ lead notorious for her fanatical left-wing censorship campaign”:

Musk appeared to decide to start at the top of the company and promptly fired top executives including CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and Vijaya Gadde, head of legal policy, trust, and safety. The company’s general counsel, Sean Edgett, was also let ago according to sources and all were promptly escorted out of the company’s offices in San Francisco.

This would appear to confirm Musk’s previous claims that he planned to take Twitter in an entirely new direction and was unhappy with current management, which Musk has publicly criticized on multiple occasions. Musk has taken issue with the former executives’ decisions relating to content moderation and product direction, as well as criticizing moves such as the banning of former President Donald Trump.

There has been quite a bit of speculation on whether or not Trump would return to the platform if Twitter reinstated him under Musk’s leadership. It has been well over a year since Twitter banned the former president, doing so in January 2021, citing the “risk of further incitement of violence”:

Lifetime movie 'An Amish Sin' aims to shed light on child sexual abuse victims: ‘There’s always hope’

On Saturday, the network is airing a scripted drama titled "An Amish Sin," a film in which she served as a consultant. The movie, inspired by true stories, tells the story of an Amish teen who refuses to marry the man who abused her as a child. She goes to escape her insular community and makes her way to a neighboring city. The film stars Dylan Ratzlaff, Kellie Martin and Rukiya Bernard.

"I grew up Mennonite, which is very similar to the Amish," Yoder explained to Fox News Digital. "… I was 48 years old when I finally got the courage to go to law enforcement and report the crimes that had happened to me when I was a child. It took me years to get to a place where I felt like I was able to do that. I just wasn’t ready or able [to do it before]. It took me a while to heal from my trauma and the things that had happened. But now, I feel like I have a voice. So I wanted to share my story in hopes of raising awareness."

Yoder’s story was part of a Pulitzer Prize-winning 2019 series in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that uncovered an unprecedented investigation of child sexual abuse within the Amish and Mennonite communities. Yoder, who grew up in a separatist Mennonite community, alleged that three relatives abused her when she was a child.

"It made me angry," she tearfully recalled. "I resented them. I would usually run or hide, and find ways to avoid them. As I grew older, I just learned how to evade them, or at least tried to."

Yoder said she left her family in 1992 when she was 21 years old, though she didn’t leave the Mennonite community until 2000.

"This is a new national revival and its goal is for the Czech Republic to be independent," said organizer Ladislav Vrabel. "When I see a full square, no one can stop this."

The protests occurred both in the capital city of Prague as well as the second-largest Czech city of Brno. Organized under the slogan of "Czech Republic First," the demonstrations drew their strength from both the left and right wings of Czech politics.

“Russia’s not our enemy, the government of warmongers is the enemy,” one speaker said, according to the Associated Press. Czechia has donated tanks and other heavy weapons to Ukraine, and provided nearly a half million visas to Ukrainian refugees, along with benefits. Protest organizers are also demanding that the refugees not be granted permanent residency.

The protest was the third in a series organized by a group demanding Czechia's withdrawal from NATO and better relations with Russia. As observed in the United States, the Czech government has attempted to marginalize the by calling them "pro-Kremlin propagandist narratives."

Elon Musk tweeted early Saturday that Twitter users could potentially choose a version of the social media platform they like by using a rating system.

Responding to a tweet from the founder of the Bay Area software company Replit, Musk presented the idea.

"Being able to select which version of Twitter you want is probably better, much as it would be for a movie maturity rating," he said.

"The rating of the tweet itself could be self-selected, then modified by user feedback," Musk added.

The new Twitter founder tweeted on Friday that Twitter will form a content moderation council "with widely diverse viewpoints."

He said that no major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before the council convenes.

Fetterman appears at rally with Dave Matthews day after debate, says ‘it was not easy’

Democratic Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman held a campaign rally with musician Dave Matthews on Wednesday, less than one day after his only debate with Republican opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz.

The rally in Pittsburgh came a day after Oz and Fetterman and faced off in a highly-anticipated exchange. During the broadcast, Fetterman, who suffered a stroke in May, said in his opening remarks that he might miss words during the Tuesday debate due to his ongoing auditory processing recovery.

"[The debate] was not easy after having a stroke after 5 months," Fetterman told supporters Wednesday. "In fact, I don't think that's done before in American political history before actually."

Throughout the debate, the lieutenant governor repeatedly failed to complete his thoughts and found himself unable to express ideas clearly. On Wednesday, Fetterman said his campaign raised more than $2 million in the hours after.

In front of his supporters in Pittsburgh, he characterized Oz as a "fraud" who has "made millions of dollars scamming people" during his time on television where he provided millions of viewers with what critics characterized as questionable medical advice.

"That man has no core and he will do anything for a buck, say anything for a vote," he said.

During Tuesday's debate, Oz, a celebrity heart surgeon, ignored Fetterman’s health challenges throughout the debate, instead focusing on his opponent's policies on immigration and crime and his support for President Joe Biden. Democrats seized on a comment Oz made about abortion that seemed to suggest that the decision should be left to women, doctors and local politicians.

Oz insists he supports three exceptions — for rape, for incest and to protect the life of the mother. When pressed Tuesday night, he suggested he opposes South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham’s bill to impose a nationwide ban on abortion after 15 weeks because it would allow the federal government to dictate the law to states.

"There should not be involvement from the federal government in how states decide their abortion decisions," Oz said. "As a physician, I've been in the room when there are some difficult conversations happening. I don't want the federal government involved with that at all. I want women doctors, local political leaders, letting the democracy that's always allowed our nation to thrive, to put the best ideas forward so states can decide for themselves."

On Wednesday, Fetterman doubled down on his support to codify Roe V. Wade.

"He's such a rare kind of person because he's a real person," Matthews said after being introduced on stage. "He's a working man and he works for working people."

"He's an incredible inspiration and boy I hope we get it right," he added before launching into his music set.

Fetterman, currently Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor, has received endorsements from President Biden and former President Obama.

"So when the fate of our democracy and a woman's right to choose are on the line, I know John will fight for Pennsylvanians," Obama said in a 30-second video supporting Fetterman.

Haitians former presidential candidate Eric Jean Baptiste killed

Port-au-Prince.- The former Haitian presidential candidate and general secretary of the Rassemblement des Démocrates Nationaux Progressiste (RDNP) party, Eric Jean Baptiste, was assassinated this Friday night in Port-au-Prince along with his bodyguard.

The Prime Minister of Haiti, Ariel Henry, has “strongly condemned this heinous crime” and has offered his condolences to the relatives of Baptiste, whose vehicle was shot on his way to his residence in Pétion- ville, an upper-class residential area.

Baptiste, who also Baptiste also owned one of the biggest lottery companies in Haiti, “Pere Eternel”, and his bodyguard were taken to a medical center but did not survive their injuries.

No one has been arrested so far.

Thousands of Haitians have poured into the streets in recent weeks to protest the insecurity situation and the government of Henry. Critics say he has been delaying progress toward new elections to replace President Jovenel Moïse, who was assassinated last year, so he can remain in power.

The protests followed the government’s announcement that it would no longer subsidize the cost of fuel, prompting widespread anger in an impoverished country where inflation is roughly 30 percent and a record 4.7 million people face acute hunger.

One regional leader described the crisis engulfing the country as a “low-intensity civil war.”

The United States imposed visa restrictions this month on Haitians that it said are involved in gang activity, including financial and political backers, and the U.N. Security Council unanimously approved a resolution to impose an asset freeze, travel ban and arms embargo on Haitian gang leaders.

The resolution named Jimmy Cherizier, a former police officer who heads the G-9 federation of gangs, as one of its main targets. The country has a long history of foreign interventions that critics say have destabilized the country further. During the last such intervention, U.N. peacekeepers faced allegations of sexual abuse and the organization apologized for its role in a cholera outbreak that killed 10,000 people.

Some Haitians believe that Henry, who critics accuse of having done little to respond to the security crisis, is requesting outside help to stay in power. A Chinese delegate at the United Nations this month questioned whether such a force would be supported by Haitians — or would instead trigger more unrest.

The United States has proposed that a multilateral force, led by another country, be deployed to Haiti to clear the fuel blockades and address the humanitarian crisis, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Canadian officials this past week to discuss the issue.

A Canadian delegation traveled to Haiti in recent days to conduct an “assessment mission” of the humanitarian and security crises, but Canadian officials were noncommittal on whether the country would join or lead the force the United States has proposed.

In the meantime, the intertwined humanitarian and security emergencies continue to deepen.

Roberson Alphonse, a well-known Haitian journalist with the newspaper Le Nouvelliste, was attacked in his car this week by armed assailants. He is recovering. In one of his last tweets, Jean Baptiste mentioned the attempt on Alphonse’s life.

“The life expectancy of people in Haiti is 24 hours,” he said. “Who will be next? Will he have the same luck?”

Jay Chen, a candidate for California’s 45th congressional district, has refused to denounce his long-standing support for the Confucius Institutes — where Fang got her start.

Rep. Swalwell will be campaigning for Chen this weekend.

California Republican Rep. Michelle Steel issued a statement blasting Chen and Swalwell for supporting the Chinese Communist Party.

“Jay Chen is literally doubling down on his support and ties to Confucius Institutes and the Chinese Communist Party by campaigning this weekend with a congressman who has documented ties to the CCP,” said Michelle Steel Spokesperson Lance Trover. “This is further proof that his incessant cries of ‘racism’ are merely a distraction from the fact he still supports Chinese Communist Party Confucius Institutes. Voters should watch what he does, not what he says.”

On his campaign website, Chen has his biography written in Mandarin.

Rep. Swalwell, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, has infamously refused to answer questions about if he was sleeping with the Chinese spy.

Swalwell’s office claimed responding would require sharing “classified information” when Fox News host Tucker Carlson questioned them about whether or not they had a sexual relationship.

“His staff replied by saying that they could not comment whether Swalwell had a sexual relationship with Fang, because that information might be, quote, classified,” Carlson said on his show in 2020.

Fang has been accused of being an operative for China’s Ministry of State Security.

“Fang, who left the US in 2015 amid the investigation, also reportedly attempted similar influence operations on other Bay Area politicians, including Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna, whom she volunteered for in his failed 2014 campaign,” the New York Post previously reported.

NASA destroyed one of its own vintage buildings early Saturday (Oct. 29), sending the vintage structure off with a literal bang.

The space agency intentionally demolished its historic Building 4200, which served as the administrative headquarters of Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama from 1963 to 2020. The building is being removed to "make way for a series of new, state-of-the-art facilities tailored to help NASA map out the next century's worth of discoveries in space," agency officials said in a statement this month(opens in new tab).

NASA destroyed Building 4200 at 8:30 a.m. EDT (1230 GMT) Saturday morning with a controlled implosion that brought the office building, now merely a shell of its former self, down in just a few seconds. NASA webcast the weekend destruction live on YouTube(opens in new tab). You can see a replay of the event below at about the 30-minute mark.

Building 4200 had originally been slated for an update in 2030. But engineers found structural problems in its exterior wall panels in 2020, and NASA decided that it made more sense to demolish Building 4200 than to repair and maintain it.

"That decision tugs a lot of heartstrings here," agency officials wrote in the same statement. "The building was home to thousands of Marshall team members over much of six decades. That number includes 14 directors, from Dr. Wernher von Braun — who led rocket development in the 1960s and 1970s — to [current director Jody] Singer, the first woman to serve in the capacity."

The historical preservation team at Marshall, NASA's lead center for rocketry and propulsion research, is working with the agency's History Office and the Alabama State Historic Preservation Office to safeguard Building 4200's history and legacy.

"Thousands of photos, videos and other documents have been archived and made available for public use by the Library of Congress' Historical American Building Survey and Historical American Engineering Record," NASA officials wrote.

Haunting Portrait: NASA’s Webb Reveals Dust, Structure in Pillars of Creation

This is not an ethereal landscape of time-forgotten tombs. Nor are these soot-tinged fingers reaching out. These pillars, flush with gas and dust, enshroud stars that are slowly forming over many millennia. NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has snapped this eerie, extremely dusty view of the Pillars of Creation in mid-infrared light – showing us a new view of a familiar landscape.

Why does mid-infrared light set such a somber, chilling mood in Webb’s Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) image? Interstellar dust cloaks the scene. And while mid-infrared light specializes in detailing where dust is, the stars aren’t bright enough at these wavelengths to appear. Instead, these looming, leaden-hued pillars of gas and dust gleam at their edges, hinting at the activity within.

Thousands and thousands of stars have formed in this region. This is made plain when examining Webb’s recent Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) image. In MIRI’s view, the majority of the stars appear missing. Why? Many newly formed stars are no longer surrounded by enough dust to be detected in mid-infrared light. Instead, MIRI observes young stars that have not yet cast off their dusty “cloaks.” These are the crimson orbs toward the fringes of the pillars. In contrast, the blue stars that dot the scene are aging, which means they have shed most of their layers of gas and dust.

Mid-infrared light excels at observing gas and dust in extreme detail. This is also unmistakable throughout the background. The densest areas of dust are the darkest shades of gray. The red region toward the top, which forms an uncanny V, like an owl with outstretched wings, is where the dust is diffuse and cooler. Notice that no background galaxies make an appearance – the interstellar medium in the densest part of the Milky Way’s disk is too swollen with gas and dust to allow their distant light to penetrate.

How vast is this landscape? Trace the topmost pillar, landing on the bright red star jutting out of its lower edge like a broomstick. This star and its dusty shroud are larger than the size of our entire solar system.

This scene was first captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope in 1995 and revisited in 2014, but many other observatories, like NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope, have also gazed deeply at the Pillars of Creation. With every observation, astronomers gain new information, and through their ongoing research build a deeper understanding of this star-forming region. Each wavelength of light and advanced instrument delivers far more precise counts of the gas, dust, and stars, which inform researchers’ models of how stars form. As a result of the new MIRI image, astronomers now have higher resolution data in mid-infrared light than ever before, and will analyze its far more precise dust measurements to create a more complete three-dimensional landscape of this distant region.

The Pillars of Creation is set within the vast Eagle Nebula, which lies 6,500 light-years away.

On Sunday, Kanye “Ye” West shared a disturbing photo of civil rights icon Emmett Till on his Instagram, along with a lengthy rant directed at American businessman Ari Emanuel stating, “You tried to destroy my life after all the money I’ve made for the ‘business’ people.”

Ari Emanuel the CEO of Endeavor, an entertainment and media agency that owns the UFC, wrote an opinion piece for the Financial Times on Wednesday in which he argued that Kanye’s mental illness does not excuse his ‘anti-Semitic and racist comments.’

“Some of West’s behavior has been dismissed over time, citing mental illness, given that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after being hospitalized in 2016,” Emanuel wrote.

“However, mental illness is not an excuse for racism, hatred or anti-Semitism… Millions of people affected by mental illness do not perpetuate hateful ideologies. Others brush his comments off as just words, but hateful words far too easily become hateful actions,” he added.

After West tweeted that he intended to go “death con 3” on Jewish people, Emanuel has called on any companies who partner with the Yeezy designer to sever connections with the rapper.

It can be recalled that Adidas announced it would stop its partnership with Kanye West, and Gap Inc. announced it would drop items he helped design from its stores. Balenciaga and Vogue also severed their ties with the rapper.

Following Emanuel’s op-ed, Kanye West responded on his Instagram Thursday stating that he lost $2 billion in one day due to cancel culture.

“Ari Emanuel, I lost 2 billion dollars in one day and I’m still alive,” West wrote. “This is love speech. I still love you. God still loves you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am.”

Amid mounting backlash over the rapper’s anti-semitic rants, the California campus of Kanye West’s non-accredited private school informed parents on Wednesday that it would be closing immediately, which triggered his rant on Sunday towards Emanuel.

The tight result tops off a dramatic comeback for the 77 year-old opposition leader, who served two terms as president between 2003 and 2010 but subsequently was accused of corruption and served time in prison for graft before his convictions were annulled.

NBC News reporter Tom Winter reported that San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said in an interview that accused attacker David DePape, 42, ‘was able to get into the Pelosi bedroom where Paul Pelosi was.’ Jenkins said investigators have been able to talk with DePape.

Winter also confirmed that a third person was in the Pelosi home at the time of the attack on the 82-year-old husband of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-). Nancy Pelosi was reportedly in Washington, D.C. at the time of the attack early Friday morning. S.F. police said late Friday an “unknown person” answered the door when police arrived in response to a mysterious 911 call by Paul Pelosi. Police said Pelosi was able to excuse himself from DePape and go into a bathroom where is cellphone was charging to initiate the 911 call where Pelosi allegedly spoke in code and described the intruder as “David” who advised he is a “friend”.
