A new report on Monday revealed Facebook removed fake accounts suspected of being used by the U.S. military for secret psychological operations, people familiar with the matter said. The action prompted the Pentagon to order an audit of how the Department of Defense conducts secret information warfare online.

U.S. Central Command is facing scrutiny linked to military-linked accounts among more than 150 fake accounts that Facebook and Twitter have taken down, two officials familiar with the matter said, according to The Washington Post on Monday. Internet researchers Graphika and the Stanford Internet Observatory revealed last month that social media platforms removed the fake accounts; however, the researchers did not attribute the bogus profiles and sites to the U.S. military.

People familiar with the matter said the accounts were removed over the past two or three years, including some that were recent. Among the accounts were those that pushed anti-Russia narratives, calling the Kremlin “imperialist” for its war with Ukraine and warning that the conflict could impact Asian nations.

Last week, Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl directed top military officials to turn over information related to online psychological operations by October. The order comes after the Biden administration expressed concern over the Pentagon’s attempted manipulation of foreign audiences online, multiple defense and administration officials familiar with the situation said.

Pentagon press secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder said in a statement that the U.S. military’s secret information operations “support our national security priorities” and are conducted according to relevant laws and policies.

“We are committed to enforcing those safeguards,” he added.

Several U.S. officials said the White House has argued that the policies which allow the Pentagon to conduct secret operations on social media are too broad and put the United States’ reputation at risk.

“Our adversaries are absolutely operating in the information domain,” said a second senior defense official. “There are some who think we shouldn’t do anything clandestine in that space. Ceding an entire domain to an adversary would be unwise. But we need stronger policy guardrails.”

Earlier this month, new details from a lawsuit revealed that the Biden administration colluded with social media companies to censor Americans in an effort that involved at least 45 federal officials at the White House, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, State Department, Treasury Department, U.S. Election Assistance Commission, and more.

National Grid and Eversource are the two major electricity providers for Massachusetts. Both companies have notified the Department of Public Utilities (DPU) that rates for electricity are about to skyrocket.

Both major power companies rely on natural gas to create electricity. Thanks to Joe Biden’s energy policies, which includes the massive export of natural gas in LNG form, domestic prices for natural gas have skyrocketed and will continue increasing as production is further shut down by regulation.

We are helping the EU survive their sanction driven energy crisis by sending them natural gas (LNG format), while simultaneously forcing Americans to pay more in order to maintain the EU export. Everything about the process is FUBAR.

Massachusetts – […] National Grid said the monthly bill of a typical residential customer using 600 kilowatt-hours of electricity will increase from $179 last winter to about $293 this winter, an increase of about 64%. National Grid said the delivery portion of electric bills will basically remain flat.

“National Grid buys electricity on behalf of its customers from the wholesale power market through a regulatory approved process established 20 years ago. That process has served customers well over the years and provides flexibility for unforeseen events, like limited supplier response to solicitations. But things have fundamentally changed,” Helen Burt, the company’s chief customer officer, said in a statement. “Today, under a sustained, high market price environment, it is challenging to maintain affordable prices. Given that, we think it’s a good time to work with our regulators and other stakeholders to review the process and electricity supply dynamics in the region, with an eye toward reducing price volatility and maintaining a secure, reliable and resilient energy system for the future.”

The company also announced that its natural gas rates are expected to rise on Nov. 1. They said they have a pending proposal with the state Department of Public Utilities that would result in the monthly bill for an average Boston Gas residential heating customer using 115 therms per month of $278, an increase of $50, or 22%, compared to last winter’s rates.

Eversource, the state’s other major electric provider, said in an email that it is on a different schedule than National Grid for setting its electric rates so no increases are currently planned.

“We file electric base service rates twice per year with the DPU,” company spokesman Chris McKinnon said. “Our last change was on July 1, 2022 and our next change will be January 1, 2023, which we will be filing for in the coming months.”

Over the border in New Hampshire, Eversource announced in July that electric rates would be doubling for many residents due to higher natural gas prices fueled in part by the war in Ukraine.

Eversource did announce Wednesday that it has submitted a proposal to the Department of Public Utilities seeking to raise its natural gas rates. They said their average residential customer using 126 therms of gas a month would see an increase of about 38%, or $86 on their natural gas bill over last winter. While Eversource is on a different schedule, they too have announced an increase in natural gas rates of 38% on November 1st and the January 1, 2023, electricity rate will be announced in the next few weeks. Why Is the Federal Reserve Collapsing the Economy?

The Federal Reserve has a long record of mistaken decisions. Unless the Federal Reserve’s intent is to collapse the economy, the current policy of higher interest rates will go down as the most mistaken reading of the economy since the Great Depression.

Prices are rising sharply in Germany, UK, and Europe, but not because of an increase in money creation. They are rising because US Sanctions against Russia have reduced the supply of energy and disrupted transportation. Supply reductions have driven up prices of everything dependent on energy and transportation.

The US is not experiencing these problems to the same extent. Energy prices have risen some, because the companies are taking advantage of the situation.

In the US higher prices are due to shortages resulting from the lockdowns that closed businesses and broke supply chains. In America’s global world, problems abroad restrict supply here. The point is that the inflation is not a monetary inflation. Therefore, the Federal Reserve’s policy of raising interest rates is nonsensical. Higher interest rates just add to costs, shrink supply, and mean higher prices.

If the Federal Reserve actually knows what it is doing, it is intentionally trying to cause an economic collapse, which makes me wonder if the Federal Reserve is in league with Klaus Schwab’s WEA plan to cause crises that can be used to establish heavy-handed rule.

The latest news in the US, if not fabricated, is that consumer demand is collapsing. Federal Express reports that its business is hurting because orders are declining. Merchants report that consumer traffic is off. The real estate market has been brought to a halt. It is mindless for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates in the face of collapsing consumer demand.

So the real question is: what is the Federal Reserve really up to?

Ukrainian attack may be imminent – DPR

The situation in the north of the republic is “extremely difficult” as Kiev is gathering troops

Ukrainian forces may attempt an advance in the north of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) “in the very near future,” its head Denis Pushilin said on Thursday.

In a video address posted on Telegram, Pushilin described the situation in the area as “extremely difficult.”

“There are alarming signs, the enemy has concentrated quite serious forces, and it is possible that in the very near future it will try to change the situation and go on the counteroffensive,” Pushilin said.

He reassured everyone that the DPR and Russian forces were “doing everything possible” and that he was closely following developments at the front.

On Thursday morning, Donetsk authorities reported that the artillery strikes of Ukrainian forces on the city had left six people dead and seven injured.

Ukrainian forces have recently advanced to the Donetsk border, taking the towns of Balakleya and Izium and threatening Krasny Liman. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Wednesday that his general staff had decided to redeploy Russian forces from the Kharkov Region in order “to strengthen the strike capabilities of Russian forces in Donbass.”

Shoigu also said that all of the Ukrainian military’s attempts to advance on the Kherson front, between Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog, were thwarted with “significant losses.”

According to Shoigu, Kiev had planned its operations “solely to create the illusion before Western backers that the Ukrainian military is able to conduct an offensive.”

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian government and its supporters have declared the recent advance a “turning point” in the conflict with Russia. President Vladimir Zelensky has vowed to “liberate” all of Donbass and parts of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions currently controlled by Russian and allies forces – as well as Crimea, which voted to rejoin Russian in 2014.

For those who have followed the deep weeds of republican political games and schemes, the DeSantis flights from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard had a specific familiarity to them.

The transfer of Venezuelan migrants, illegal alien border crossers, from Texas to Massachusetts via Florida taxpayers and Ron DeSantis was/is, well, something republican strategist Lee Atwater would have come up with. The protege’ to Atwater is a person more familiar to modern republican followers, Karl Rove. Yes, the migrant transfer operation held all the political benefits of something very Rovianin its construct.

Take an issue like border security, central to the majority of republicans, add an element of targeted benefit and overlay an establishment playbook carried out by shadow constructs giving plausible deniability to the central planners in the backroom, and you get this type of operation. However, there’s always a risk of taking things just too far and losing control. An investigative article in the Miami Herald today has the elements of a looming backlash that needs to be avoided by the principle.

The Miami Herald is a notoriously left-wing super narrative machine, but when it comes to using their investigative resources to target a vulnerability in their opposition, they are akin to the New York Times in the sharpness of their attack. If the story as outlined in the Miami Herald is even remotely accurate, the thirsty people behind DeSantis may have just set themselves up for a problem and created an ‘own goal‘ scenario.

Investigators are now picking up the first scent of blood in the water created by short-sighted DeSantis operators. According to the lengthy outline, a contractor with intent to carry out the DeSantis operation has been identified by the media; she is known as “Perla.” The outline of the operation now changes the national narrative, at least that’s the goal of the Herald, from Rovian political strategy into DeSantis using vulnerable migrants as political pawns.

Miami Herald – […] Ultimately, the migrants interviewed by the Herald were the butt of the joke. They thought they were going somewhere. Five days before she knocked on the door of their motel rooms, the woman, who never told them her name, had recruited the migrants to join a secret operation to transport asylum-seekers out of Texas. She had approached them outside San Antonio’s migrant resource center and said she worked for an organization that she did not name.

When shown photos of various recruiters, migrants from the Martha’s Vineyard flights and the group that thought they were destined for Delaware both recognized one image, of an unidentified woman with black hair....

There is a fine line between making a political point and being viewed as exploiting the desperation of vulnerable migrants.

I have no doubt the Rovian people behind the DeSantis campaign saw an opportunity to score major national points, and when combined with the ferocity of the Pushaw eastern European mindset there was likely an echo-chambered snark-filled joy of willingness in the plan.

However, if you do not see how this has the likelihood to be viewed as tenuously ridiculing by the larger Latino community in Florida, you likely don’t recognize when a joke turns into the bloom falling from the ruse.

Overlay Florida taxpayer money being used to fund the DeSantis national political game and, well, you already see the grins in the Lawfare crowd.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis proposed legislation Thursday prohibiting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from continuing its “nefarious” policy of land buyouts near U.S military bases in the state.

The measure limits companies affiliated with China and other countries of concern, including Russia, Iran and North Korea, from purchasing sensitive land around the 21 U.S. military bases in Florida. Chinese purchases of land at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, reported by CNBC in July, and Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana triggered worries that the CCP would use the land to surveil goings-on at the bases, potentially giving the CCP a conflict advantage and provide insight to U.S. defense technology.

“How is that in our national interest?” DeSantis said in a press briefing.

“They want to get intelligence. They want to know what’s going on here in the United States,” he added.

China’s Huawei has installed telecommunications equipment on land near U.S. military bases, raising concerns among lawmakers and national security officials that the CCP might intend to capture sensitive data on military procedures and personnel, CNN reported.

Foreign investors hold a stake in 5.8% of Florida’s agricultural land, according to a statement.

“From server farms to farmland, the Communist Party of China has been worming its way into our nation’s data storage systems and buying up tracts of land near sensitive national security sites,” DeSantis said in the statement.

In the same swath of actions designed to protect Floridians from malign Chinese activities, DeSantis signed an executive order barring government entities from obtaining technology products and services from companies those countries own or control. The order also outlaws contracting with companies owned by or housed in the countries of concern, if those contracts would require providing access to Floridians’ personal information, such as medical records.

While some companies appear privately owned, “if you peel back the onion” they display links to the CCP, DeSantis said.

“By prohibiting the purchase of lands, state contracts with Chinese technology firms, and the infiltration of CCP-affiliated groups such as Confucius Institutes, Florida is leading the way to protect our nation from international foes,” said DeSantis.

China purchased a total of $6.1 billion in U.S. real estate last year, much of that near sensitive military and trade sites, Texas Policy reported.

President Joe Biden is aware of China’s “unfair trading practices” and has taken steps to address the ensuing economic risk to the U.S., National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said when asked about China’s land buying scheme in a Sept. 13 briefing.

Breon Peace, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, and Letitia James, New York State Attorney General, announced today a pair of settlement agreements with two Brooklyn-based licensed home care services agencies (LHCSA), All American Homecare Agency (All American) and Crown of Life Care NY LLC (Crown of Life). The settlement agreements address allegations that All American and Crown of Life violated the federal False Claims Act and New York State’s False Claims Act in claiming that they paid their home care aides the minimum wages required under New York State law. The agencies received millions of dollars in funding from Medicaid, which is funded in part by the federal government, and much of that money was meant to pay the wages and benefits of their aides.

The US government finally admitted in this letter that they were running Confidential Human Sources inside the Oath Keepers organization on January 6.

The government also notified the attorneys that they are issuing a protective order for their operatives they ran inside the organization on January 6.

Attorney Jonathon Moseley, who represents Stewart Rhodes, told The Gateway Pundit on Thursday evening that this was the first time the government admitted to his team that their were government operatives inside the Oath Keepers organization.

From today’s motion the government seeks to prevent the defense attorneys from asking about any other investigations or operations the confidential human sources have been involved in.

The government also seeks to keep the identity of these confidential human sources private from the American public.

The central bank of Australia on Wednesday made the astonishing admission that it is, basically, bust. Its entire equity has been wiped out by pandemic-related bond buying.

Of course, the Reserve Bank of Australia is a central bank, and can print money. So it can work its way out of a situation that would bankrupt a conventional bank or company.

Still, as the U.S. Federal Reserve meets today on interest rates, it's an interesting insight into the challenges other central bankers face as they attempt to reconcile Covid stimulus with post-Covid inflation and economic emergence.

The RBA began its bond-purchase program in November 2020 as a second stimulus package in response to the pandemic. The first round of measures saw it slash rates to record lows, and set up a term funding facility offering cheap three-year funding to banks. For the bond buying, the central bank bought Australian government bonds and semi-government securities in the secondary market to lower interest rates on bonds maturing between five and 10 years out.

The program was extended, and extended, and extended yet again. Ultimately, the RBA bought A$281 billion (US$188 billion) in national, state and territory government bonds.

Now the bill has come due.

For a long time I thought these were separate phenomena. I couldn't understand why new fronts were always being opened in the war against ordinary people trying to live an ordinary life. Why we were continuously brought further into the shit.

I couldn't see the connection between these seemingly different problems.

Then I came to realize that all these different insanities are really all part of a single plan. As irrational and counterproductive as they are (Covid policies, for example, arguably made Covid worse, all of these are part of the same Big Project.

They are symptoms of the same spiritual error.

This is not a secret conspiracy I discovered. It is instead an openly announced plan, or series of plans, that have one and the same underlying ideology.

Whether the plan is called the Great Reset or Build Back Better, the Green Deal or the 'Euro-Atlantic Integration'; the plan is always the same and it comes from the same mindset, the same way of thinking over and over again.

In the deepest conviction of the elites who rule us, human freedom is a danger; human nature is a danger. Indeed, human nature must be changed and a new man must be created.

That's why they want transhumanism. These elites think that human nature is flawed and that the human intellect (that is, planners, like them) can improve it.

They think they can live 150 years, or even forever. They think, like Yuval Harari, guru of the WEF, that people are "hackable" and can be programmed.

They believe in “humanity 2.0”.

Inextricably linked to this, these people hate existing individual freedom. They hate humanity 1.0, that is, real people.

That's why they want fewer people on the planet.

That's why they want to control us with social credit, QR codes and algorithms so that our feelings and desires can be monitored and manipulated.

They think too many people travel. That a personal “emissions budget” should control all our movements.

They believe that freedom of expression should be curtailed because people say things they don't agree with.

Yes, the whole politics of today has essentially turned into a struggle, a war against traditional European life, against the free man, against other opinions they call 'disinformation', against Russia of course, against even the seasonal flu, which they call excuse to inject people with poison, against national identities too, and yes, of course, against CO2, against Nitrogen, and so on.

It goes on and on. The government model is war, because war means leaders can give orders to civilians, and that's what our elites really want.

They think that the world would be more rational, better, more efficient, if it were organized in this way. By them!

The language and ideology of top-down management and control thus dominates politics, and bears a stunning resemblance to the language and ideology of the Soviets. We used to have the planned economy; today we have the Sustainable Development Goals.

But on a deep level, Davos' ideology is related to the ideology of communism. The apparent differences dwarf the similarities in conviction. In fact, from the Chinese model we see that communism is completely compatible with economic productivity and - indeed - with globalism.

Thus, the political spectrum does not run from proponents of "state interference" on the one hand, and proponents of "corporations and corporations" on the other: for both groups, which on the surface could be called "left" or "right" on the other, are both groups in which the global elites could be classified: they both believe that when people are in line, they make the wrong choices. They believe that when countries are free, they start wars. And so, that they themselves, these global elites, have to rule.

Because of that ideology, it feels essential for them to pass euthanasia laws, such as those that already exist in the Netherlands, Belgium and soon France, because they no longer want to accept that there is a part of life that is completely out of our control.

Just as much, it stems from the same ideology of our elites, that the LGBTQI madness is propagated and that children - young children! - are encouraged to experiment with deviant sexualities: nature must be adaptable, yes, the body is for them just an instrument to be brought under control, and the heterosexual family as a natural, even biological basis of society is a thorn in them in the eye.

Also, because of that ideology, in which the members of our hopeless elites believe, an attempt is made to construct a new post-historic, post-national homo europaeus, without any connection to its homeland or its history, impregnated with a cosmopolitan ideology without roots.

But that's why it's "essential" for our elites to destroy Russia, that's why this obsession with NATO's proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, because Putin's Russia evidently embodies the opposite of all these things.

It is a country with a strong sense of national identity, with a realistic approach to foreign policy and a virile male leader against whom the effeminate, often sexually deviant politicians of the West stand out in stark contrast.

In ancient times, Gnostics believed that knowledge was the key to eternal life. That the world, nature, could be recreated according to one's own idea. It is the old astray of the Tower of Babel; the pride of man as we speak is embodied by contemporary gnostics such as Yuval Hariri, guru of Davos, and, in its wake, by all those members of the global elites whose members of our government are again the executors, the subordinates.

The folks at NerdWallet have taken the inflation date from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) and applied the math to real life. The result is a good encapsulation of checkbook economics and how the Biden economy is painful for the working class.

In total, Joe Biden’s energy policy driven inflation has added $961/month to preexisting expenses. That’s $11,532 a year just to retain the status quo standard of living.

This number includes everything we spend our money on: housing, food, entertainment, clothing, transportation and everything else. In 2022, it stands to reach $72,900, a difference of more than $11,500 if consumers want to maintain the same standard of living. The FBI had attempted to recruit Jeremy Brown as an operative to work the Jan. 6 protests for them.

The FBI and Biden DOJ even released a new map that shows anyone who was standing near the US Capitol on January 6th can now be arrested. This is a new maneuver for the Corrupt FBI and DOJ.

They are now arresting anyone who stood within hundreds of feet near the US Capitol.

The Capitol was not marked that day when the protesters arrived and the protesters were NEVER warned that they were in an “illegal space.”

This is the two-tiered US Justice system at its finest.

To give you an idea how large of space this is — Here is a map showing the distance from one side of the restricted area to the other side of the US Capitol restricted area is nearly half a mile.

The Trump protesters had NO IDEA this was restricted space.

There were no signs or warnings from officials that it was illegal to be standing nearly a quarter-mile from the US Capitol on the one side.

On Thursday New York Post reporter Miranda Devine told Steve Bannon that one of the reasons FBI whistleblower Steve Friend spoke out against the bureau was because they were starting to arrest American patriots who crossed the invisible FBI line drawn around the US Capitol on January 6.

The U.S. Postal Service monitored protesters across the country, snooping on Americans focused on issues involving guns and President Biden’s election, according to records obtained by The Washington Times.

Postal inspectors tracked the actions of gun rights activists gathering in Richmond, Virginia; people preparing to demonstrate against police in Louisville, Kentucky, after an investigation into the police shooting of Breonna Taylor; and far-right groups headed to the District of Columbia after Mr. Biden’s election.

Cato Institute senior fellow Patrick Eddington obtained the heavily redacted records detailing the postal inspectors’ spying from September 2020 through April 2021, including through covert social media surveillance called the Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP).

The records provide a rare glimpse into the breadth and depth of the Postal Service’s surveillance apparatus, which Mr. Eddington said was capable of reaching into every home and business in the country.

“The Postal Service cannot reliably deliver mail to my own home, yet they can find the money and people to effectively digitally spy at scale, including on Americans engaged in First Amendment-protected activities,” Mr. Eddington said.

A redacted situational awareness bulletin released in response to Mr. Eddington’s Freedom of Information Act request showed the U.S. Postal Inspection Service tracked “peaceful armed protests” by Virginians demonstrating at a Second Amendment rally for “Lobby Day” in Richmond on Jan. 18, 2021.

Trump Special Master Reveals New Plan After Appeals Court Ruling

The judge designated as the special master in former President Donald Trump’s records case has proposed that a government official swear that the government properly listed items taken from Trump’s home in August.

U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie, the special master, also left open the possibility of recommending the government be ordered to return some of the seized materials.

Dearie outlined the plan on Sept. 22, following an order that blocks him and Trump’s lawyers from accessing materials with classified markings that were taken from Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.

Dearie, a George W. Bush appointee, was chosen by Trump attorneys and Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyers and put into place by U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee. Trump and the DOJ can object to components of the plan; Cannon would adjudicate any objections.

Dearie’s case management plan starts with having a government official “with sufficient knowledge of the matter” submitting a declaration or affidavit regarding an inventory list DOJ officials have released.

The official would attest that the list “represents the full and accurate extent of the property seized from” from Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida residence.

f the plan is put into place, Trump would then respond with a list of any items listed by the government that were not seized from Mar-a-Lago.

Trump would also detail items that were seized but not included in the inventory.

“This submission shall be Plaintiff’s final opportunity to raise any factual dispute as to the completeness and accuracy of the Detailed Property Inventory,” Dearie said.

The government would then be allowed to respond to Trump.

Seized Materials

Based on an appeals court order, Cannon earlier Tuesday blocked Dearie and Trump lawyers from viewing the roughly 100 materials that were marked classified and seized from Mar-a-Lago.

Dearie and the Trump attorneys are still poised to review each page of non-classified materials taken from the resort.

Dearie wants the government to list each document and say whether the government filter team identified the document as potentially covered by a form of privilege, such as attorney-client privilege. Trump’s team has already received an initial set of potentially privileged documents, according to Dearie. After Trump’s team reviews the materials, they would specify any privilege claims, including any claims for documents that were not deemed potentially privileged by the government. Dearie will resolve any disputes on privilege.

The final log of privilege designations is due to Dearie on or before Oct. 21.

Delay on Ruling

The special master will not decide whether Trump shall receive any of the seized materials back until after Cannon rules on any objections to his plan.

Trump has already motioned for the return of property.

Trump must submit a brief in support of the motion no less than seven days after Cannon finishes ruling on the case management plan and any objections. The government will then respond, and Trump can respond to the government’s response.

Either party can request an oral argument.

Dearie said that he will “promptly issue a report and recommendation after briefing and oral argument has been completed.” Cannon has the final say on the motion.

Request for Help

Dearie wants permission to bring on a retired judge for assistance.

Former U.S. Magistrate Judge James Orenstein “has experience with complex case management, privilege review, warrant procedures, and other matters that may arise in the course of the Special Master’s duties,” Dearie wrote.

Magistrate judges are appointed by other judges.

Orenstein has worked with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court—Dearie served on that court for years—and holds top secret clearance.

Orenstein should be compensated at $500 an hour, Dearie said.

Trump is paying for all of the costs associated with the special master’s work.

Fox News recently reported that five months after a federal jury convicted him, a judge has thrown out three of the four convictions against a University of Kansas researcher, Feng Tao, who carried out work for Fuzhou University in China while he was employed at the University of Kansas and received research funding from the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation.

Tao was convicted as part of the Department of Justice’s “China Initiative” started in 2018 by President Donald Trump to protect U.S. national security from Chinese spying on U.S. intellectual property and in academia.

Yet the Feng Tao case is far from an isolated incident.

Chinese scientists working in the U.S., even those who have become U.S. citizens or permanent residents, routinely receive funding from the Chinese government and collaborate with scientists in Communist China, including scientists from the People’s Liberation Army, all while receiving U.S. taxpayer-funded research grants from the National Institutes of Health and other federal government agencies.

The following is one of likely hundreds if not thousands of Chinese scientists working in the U.S. and collaborating with China, although it does not imply that there was criminal activity.

Shibo Jiang obtained his MS and MD degrees from the First and Fourth Medical University of the People’s Liberation Army.

Between 1997 and 2016, when Shibo Jiang worked in the U.S. and was a Principal Investigator on U.S. research grants amounting to more than $17 million, the vast majority coming from Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, he also received support from the Chinese government and actively collaborated with Chinese research institutions including those of the People’s Liberation Army.

This is one such research project.

Note that Shibo Jiang associated himself with both the Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute in New York and Fudan University in Shanghai.

The co-authors Yufei Wang, Wanbo Tai, Guangyu Zhao, Shihui Sun and Yusen Zhou are from the State Key Laboratory of Pathogen and Biosecurity, which is part of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences of the People’s Liberation Army, where Wanbo Tai received his Ph.D. and has since worked in the U.S.

Also note that the Center for Biodefense and Emerging Diseases at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas is cited, a facility funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and which houses a Biosafety Level-4 high containment laboratory for research on dangerous viruses.

For that study, Shibo Jiang was funded by both the National Institutes of Health and the Chinese government, although no conflicts of interest were identified.

As if a man in a dress shaking his a** in the face of children is not enough to get fired.

A Texas church dropped a “goth” drag queen from an all-ages “drag bingo” night after learning he was convicted in a 2004 plot to blaze up a school when he was 17 years old.

Jaysen Kettl, aka “Tisha Flowers” was scheduled to “perform” at a sold-out, all-ages fandango for the First Christian Church, which is part of the Disciples of Christ, the lefty faction of the non-denominational-but-sort-of-a-denomination Christian Church. Then adults got involved.

Kevin Whitt, Founder of Culture Warriors of America, did a little digging and learned that Kettl has a creepy, sinister past.

Kettl was the “mastermind” of a plot to torture and shoot people at his school. The plot was foiled, and he was arrested. Kettl was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit capital murder. Prosecutors found a notebook with 12 pages of detailed, gruesome tortures that he and a 16-year-old female friend were planning for people at his school.

FACT-O-RAMA! If Kettl didn’t accept the plea deal, he would have also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder (which is a different charge from conspiracy to commit capital murder) and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. If found guilty, he could have gotten life in prison.

“They described how they were going to torture some people. Nailing their hands to the table, chaining them to trees, before they killed certain people,” Assistant District Attorney Troy Johnson reported.

School officials learned of the plot and called the police. Investigators searched his home and found a backpack with hammers, nails, chains, and knives.

Kettl was quietly dropped from the September 24 “drag bingo” extravaganza when the church learned he plotted to kill roughly 20 people.

This is not the first trouble with drag queens and kids. Boise, Idaho recently canceled its “Drag Kids performance” on September 11 (of all days) after threats of protests and alleged violence.

Yet another drag queen who “performed” for kids was charged with 25 counts of child pornography. A judge who sponsored “Drag Queen Story Hour” for children was also busted with child porn.

What have we learned? Keep your kids away from men in dresses.

The occasion for those questions was a presser with a gaggle of congressional reporters who challenged Rubio’s remarks on abortion and whether he supports any restrictions on the lethal procedure.

They weren’t satisfied when the Florida Republican reminded them that he’s “always been pro-life,” so Rubio challenged the assembled journalists to do the rest of their jobs: “You need to be asking Democrats what restrictions they support. Democrats won’t vote for any restriction of any kind on abortion.”

But rather than simply leaving it there, Rubio, knowing none of the reporters were likely to take up his challenge, directed his staff to fire off some questions of their own for a bunch of journalists, according to a September 20 statement.

The Rubio staffers “emailed 55 different reporters from 40 major news outlets — including the largest newspapers in Florida and 20 largest in the nation — to find out if they or their colleagues had ever asked federally elected Democrats real questions about abortion,” according to the statement.

I’m betting you can guess how the reporters responded. Right: very few of them did, according to the statement, and those who did got an attitude about it all:

• One reporter responded to the survey within minutes, writing, “I have asked those questions.” When asked for links to include in the report, the same reporter went silent.

• Another reporter asked, “Why does a public official think it’s ok to ask questions to news organizations on this issue?” and proceeded to exchange multiple emails without answering any questions.

• Business Insider went so far as to write a 370-word article about the “combative” inquiry but steadfastly refused to address any of the questions.

Frankly, the only element of those responses and non-responses that surprises me is that Rubio’s staffers didn’t receive more outraged protests along the line of, “How dare you think you have the right to challenge us about how we do our jobs?”

Rubio then cited the responses as evidence of two critical problems with the national media:

“This highlights two major problems we have in this country. First, reporters believe no one is allowed to ask them questions. They take offense at the idea that you, me, or anyone else should dare to question the sanctity of their reporting. That arrogant, dismissive attitude is exactly why there is a crisis of confidence in our nation’s news outlets. They truly think they are better than everyone else.

“Second, Democrats get away with murder, literally. They are never pushed to answer specific questions about where they stand on the taking of human life. The truth is that every single Democrat supports taxpayer-funded abortion without any restrictions up until the moment a child is born. That is the truth, but Democrats never have to explain their radical position, because the press is all too willing to cover for them.”

Rubio is right in his assessment of journalists’ vanished credibility, and his direction to his staff to turn the tables is exactly the right precedent. Speaking as a journalist who has covered Congress, the White House, and the national political and public policy scenes for more than three decades, I wonder if Rubio didn’t go far enough.

For decades, presidents and members of Congress rarely publicly challenged how they were being covered by journalists. Sure, back in the office talking to staffers or to colleagues elsewhere, they let loose. But, generally speaking, a respectful public attitude about the institution of the news media was maintained that minimized the unavoidable friction.

Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are needed, but there are no signs that such a dialogue could resume in the near future, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Friday. He also pointed out that Kiev backed out of talks with Moscow months ago.

Speaking to reporters, Peskov was asked whether Moscow believes that talks with the government in Kiev are warranted under the current conditions. The Kremlin spokesman signaled that dialogue is “of course needed.”

“And it is needed to achieve our goals. But, as we have already said, we do not see any prerequisites for the negotiation process,” he stated.

Peskov went on to say that Russian President Vladimir Putin has already explained that “Ukraine left the negotiations several months ago.” The Russian leader, he added, also offered the reminder that various Kiev officials had signaled that they “intend to solve their problems on the battlefield.”

“You know very well how our president reacted to this,” he said.

On Wednesday, Putin announced a partial mobilization in which 300,000 reservists will be called up to take part in the conflict with Ukraine. The move came a day after the two Donbass republics and the Russian-controlled Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions decided to hold referendums over September 23-27 on whether to unite with Russia.

Russia has repeatedly said that it is ready to talk with Ukraine, but insisted that it isn’t interested in “a meeting for the sake of the meeting.” Moreover, earlier this month, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that Moscow had never dismissed the idea of peace talks, warning, however, that “the longer this process is delayed, the harder it will be to reach an agreement.”

Meanwhile, in late July Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said Kiev refused to negotiate with Moscow, claiming that Russia would not stop until it gets “smashed.”

The last time Russia and Ukraine sat down at the negotiating table was in late March. At that time, the two parties were discussing a draft peace agreement that would have made Ukraine a neutral state in exchange for security guarantees given by major world powers. Later, however, Kiev ended the talks after accusing Russian troops of having committed war crimes, an allegation that Moscow has vehemently denied.

Donbass republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions kick off vote on joining Russia

Voters have five days to have their say

Referendums on officially becoming Russian territories have begun in the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk and the Russian-controlled parts of southern Ukraine.

The votes will take place from today until Tuesday next week. Preliminary results are expected to be released by Wednesday.

The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) broke away from Ukraine shortly after the 2014 coup in Kiev. They are predominantly Russian-speaking and share a border with Russia. Moscow recognized them as independent states in February.

Russia currently controls Ukraine’s Kherson Region, as well as large parts of Zaporozhye Region, which were seized after Moscow launched its military operation in the neighboring country on February 24.

Kiev, which considers these areas to be under illegal Russian occupation, said it will not recognize the vote. The EU has already called the referendums a “sham.”

DPR head Denis Pushilin said on Thursday nightthere are “worrying signs” that Kiev could launch an attack on the republic “in the nearest future.”

The vote takes place two days after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the partial mobilization of reservists. In a video address on Wednesday, Putin vowed to “do everything to ensure a secure environment during the referendums so that people can express their will.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin asked Turkey to ensure the release of a particular person from Ukrainian custody, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, commenting on a Turkey-mediated prisoner exchange.

“One of the names was repeated many times by Mr. Putin. We have already sent this person to Russia,” the Turkish president said, speaking to journalists on Friday.

Turkey served as an intermediary for an exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine earlier this week. Some of the Ukrainian fighters released by Russia will stay in Turkey as what Erdogan described as his “guests.”

While the Turkish leader didn’t identify the person sent to Russia, whose fate he claimed was of particular interest to Putin, some media outlets speculated that he was referring to Viktor Medvedchuk – a Ukrainian opposition politician who was arrested by the Ukrainian government for alleged treason.

The Ukrainian politician was granted freedom by Kiev as part of the swap, according to officials in Kiev and the Russia-allied Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky claimed that his country got 200 fighters for the man, whom he branded a “fan of Russia.” He also stated that five senior members of the Azov battalion, aunit in which some members espouse openly neo-Nazi ideology, will remain in Turkey.

DPR head Denis Pushilin credited Medvedchuk for negotiating multiple prisoner exchanges between DPR militia and Kiev in the past, explaining why the Ukrainian national was part of this week’s swap.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday declined to comment on Medvedchuk’s whereabouts and urged journalists to check the official statement from the Defense Ministry on the prisoner swap, which didn’t mention the politician.

Medvedchuk was the leader of an opposition party called ‘Opposition Platform – For Life’ (OPZZh), which had the second-largest faction in the Ukrainian parliament after Zelensky’s political force, ‘Servant of the People’. He advocated for reconciling with Russia, arguing that the escalating confrontation would be disastrous to his country.

The Ukrainian government arrested Medvedchuk last year on treason charges just after his party surpassed the president’s in popularity. Kiev has since outlawed OPZZh, using the conflict with Russia as a justification for escalating the crackdown on politicians and media critical of Zelensky.

Hungary is against imposing new sanctions on Moscow, especially in the energy sector, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Friday after meeting his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. According to the minister, energy sanctions are “a clear red line” for Hungary as Europe is grappling with soaring gas prices.

"Our position is very clear. We see no reasonable reasons to discuss a new package of sanctions, especially when it comes to energy,” Szijjarto said on Friday, RIA Novosti reports. The pair met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to the Hungarian outlet Index, he added that “this is a clear red line for us. We do not want the Hungarian people to pay a price for a war they have nothing to do with,” referring to the ongoing hostilities between Russia and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Szijjarto signaled that Hungary doesn’t plan to shun any debate on the new sanctions package, but it “wouldn’t consent to anything that is contrary to our national interests.”

The minister also addressed the criticism he may face for holding talks with Lavrov, highlighting the fact that peace “will not come without dialogue.” If there are no negotiations, “the world will face even more serious consequences”, he said.

Szijjarto warned that the European economy is heading into recession. In recent months, Europe has been plagued by an energy crisis, which was largely caused by skyrocketing natural gas prices due to sanctions the EU has imposed on Russia.

Hungary is heavily dependent on Moscow for energy and gets around 80% of its gas from Russian energy giant Gazprom. While Russia has cut off gas supplies to a number of countries, Hungary signed a deal with Moscow in late August for additional deliveries on top of already agreed volumes.

New York is building expensive tent towns to hold thousands of the penniless migrants being delivered by President Joe Biden’s pro-migration deputies.

Western media continues to ignore how Ukraine is using NATO weapons to kill innocent civilians in the Donbass

The civilian death toll keeps growing as some EU citizens rise up against their governments’ support for Kiev

On Monday, Ukraine slaughtered 16 civilians, including two children, with 155mm NATO shells, according to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin. The projectiles hit two adjacent neighborhoods, decimating residential and commercial areas – including a market that had previously suffered fatal attacks.

Scenes of death are nothing new for residents and reporters here in Donetsk, which is intermittently the target of Ukrainian attacks, like the one that hit its central region on August 4, killing six people, including an 11-year-old ballerina, her grandmother, and her ballet teacher.

But the carnage on Monday was worse than anything I’ve seen in my months of reporting here. Chunks of flesh littered the street – part of a hand, a foot, an ear. Someone had put a dead man’s phone on his stomach. It was ringing, the cheery ringtone incongruous with his lifeless body and the scenes and stench of death around him.

For most people, the concept of war is a distant one, and deaths are normalized by media reporting the numbers of victims and destroyed buildings – so most who hear of civilians being killed don’t really understand what a scene like this looks or smells like.

For the locals, it is also normalized, in its own way, after over eight years of Ukrainian attacks – a tragically grotesque kind of normality, where the post-bombing routine starts soon after the last explosions die down.

When I arrived at the scene, locals were already sweeping up glass shards and boarding windows, preparing to reopen their shops. Inspectors from the Russian Investigative Committee were on site collecting shrapnel and measuring the shell’s impact point, to determine the nature of the armament. When asked about what happened, they were careful to state that they could not say anything until the conclusion of their investigation.

An emergency vehicle arrived and workers began loading the bodies, or body parts, onto stretchers, clearing them away.

About 100 meters away, there was a gaping hole in the side of an apartment building. The shell had struck right where writing on the wall indicated the direction to the nearest basement, which was to be used as a bomb shelter. Doors to such stairways are generally permanently left open, so that anyone caught up in shelling might have a chance to survive, if they can make it to the door and basement in time.

Victims of another Ukrainian assault, which took place on Saturday, didn’t have that option. The center of Donetsk was hit by at around ten bombs over the course of 30 minutes around noon. At least four civilians were killed, one of whom I saw still on the ground. Some minutes later, her body was taken away. One of the shells hit a car driving along Artema Street, setting it ablaze and killing two civilians. By the time I reached that site, the vehicle had burned out, the dead taken away. Workers were already repaving the roads, sweeping debris and glass from sidewalks.

Ivan Timofeev: The EU’s von der Leyen is completely wrong about anti-Russia sanctions, and here’s why

The bloc’s joint figurehead claims Moscow is presiding over an economy in ‘tatters,’ but we have heard that before

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen has, as could be expected, called for new sanctions against Russia in connection with the forthcoming referendums in Donbass and two regions of Ukraine. These concern the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics – which have been de-facto self-governing since 2014 – and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

In her opinion, the penalties already imposed on Russia are having an impact. “The sanctions have been very successful. If you look at the Russian economy, its industry is in tatters,” the politician asserted. (Not even the EU citizens could possibly believe this propaganda)

Let’s allow ourselves to argue a little with Ms. von der Leyen.

The key measure of the effectiveness of sanctions is whether they change the political course of the target country. This criterion has been well researched in both academic and applied literature and few people have any doubts about its veracity.

However, Russia has not changed its political course in Ukraine under the influence of the large-scale sanctions of the EU, US and other initiators. Moreover, its position is hardening, as evidenced by this week’s announcements of both a partial mobilization and the referendums.

Thus, we can say that the measures are actually having a negative effect in terms of what they are supposed to be doing.

Apparently, Ms. von der Leyen links effectiveness to the amount of pain inflicted. In other words, she believes that the greater it is, the better.

There are problems here, too. The damage is indeed large. But we are not just sitting still and feeling sorry for ourselves. We are adapting very energetically.

Now, you can criticize Russia’s domestic financial policy and question import substitution as much as you like. And they will not, of course, make ‘everything as it was.’ But it is clear that the economy is shrinking much less than expected, that inflation has, at least so far, been brought under control, and that adaptations in sourcing, helped by domestic production, are mitigating the effects of the sanctions.

The economy is simply becoming different. It is changing in terms of focus and quality. In a number of sectors it will 'run slower' or limp along.But Russia will continue to live.

Of course, we have already heard the words “the Russian economy is in tatters,” from US President Barack Obama. That was in 2015. Seven years ago.

There are indeed effects here. Hundreds of Western companies have left Russia, incurring losses, for themselves, and losing their market share.

Does this mean that the niches they occupied will remain empty? No, it doesn't. They are already being actively exploited by Russian rivals, as well as Chinese, Iranian, Indian and other entrepreneurs and firms.

We ourselves, of course, can hardly be complacent. The problems we face are numerous, and, most of them have to be dealt with by fire-fighting.

Right now, we are waiting for a new package of sanctions from the EU and others Western actors.

Exclusive – Trump’s Truth Social Exploring Legal Action Against SEC for Alleged Delays in Company Merger Approval Process

The company founded by former President Donald Trump that launched his social media platform Truth Social is considering legal action against the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for allegedly slow-walking approval of the company’s planned merger with another company that would provide the joint entity a mass infusion of capital, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News, said it was exploring possible legal action against the SEC for the alleged delays, which the TMTG statement attributes at least in part to alleged political bias at the regulatory agency. TMTG — a private company — has been planning to merge with the SPAC, or special purpose acquisition company, Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), but the matter is on hold awaiting SEC approval — and has been for months. DWAC is a publicly-traded company.

“The SEC has stalled its review of our planned merger with DWAC, having failed to act despite DWAC having filed its registration statement more than four months ago,” TMTG said in the statement. “This inexcusable obstruction, which directly contradicts the SEC’s stated mission, is damaging investors and many others who are simply following the rules and trying to expand a successful business. In light of the obvious conflicts of interest among SEC officials and clear indications of political bias, TMTG is now exploring legal action against the SEC. Despite the increasing weaponization and politicization of government agencies, Truth Social will continue its expansion plans, supported by the unprecedented levels of user engagement on the platform.”

The SEC has not publicly confirmed the reason for the delays, but leaks to establishment media outlets suggest the agency is investigating several things about the merger — and that the Justice Department is also investigating. “The SEC launched an investigation into DWAC in December after allegations surfaced that company executives may have held talks with TMGT before DWAC’s initial public offering, which would violate regulations that prohibit SPACs from reaching merger agreements before raising funds,” Forbes reported in early August, for instance. “DWAC also revealed last month it’s the subject of a Justice Department criminal probe. It’s stated in regulatory filings that each member of the company’s board received a grand jury subpoena seeking information on communications with ‘multiple individuals, and information regarding Rocket One Capital’ a little-known Miami-based private equity firm.”

The delays risk access to significant capital that would have been available to Truth Social had the SEC approved the merger by Tuesday of this week. In total, approximately $1 billion in additional financing was committed by investors to TMTG through what is known as a private investment in public equity, or PIPE. Those commitments from the investors who pledged the billion dollars were contingent upon SEC approval of the private company’s merger with the SPAC by Tuesday, something that clearly will not happen because of SEC delays.

Zuckerberg's alleged actions were 'beyond disgraceful,' the Center for Renewing America said

FIRST ON FOX: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, his wife and three voting rights groups were hit Thursday with legal complaints alleging malfeasance related to activities surrounding the 2020 election.

The Center for Renewing America (CRA) filed two complaints — the first against Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan and the second against the groups Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR) and National Vote at Home Institute (NVAHI) — Thursday morning with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The complaints, obtained by FOX Business, allege that Zuckerberg and the three groups were involved in a scheme to inject nearly $500 million into the 2020 election in order to "throw it" to President Biden. Biden ultimately defeated former President Donald Trump, winning key swing states Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Zuckerberg hired former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe to spearhead the effort, according to the CRA. Plouffe allegedly funneled most of the hundred-million-dollar grants from the couple to Democratic-leaning jurisdictions in swing states via the three tax-exempt voting rights groups ahead of the November 2020 electio

"It is beyond disgraceful to imagine federal taxpayers subsidizing the partisan preferences of billionaires who easily could have given to a Democrat super PAC in 2020," the CRA said in a statement shared with FOX Business.

"But, of course, then they would not have been able to take a tax deduction, so they disguised the political nature of their donations and shuffled them through 'charitable' intermediaries, making ordinary Americans foot the bill," the CRA continued.

The CRA noted that federal law prohibits individuals from making donations intended to illegitimately aid one political party over another.

The complaints said the IRS must deny any personal income tax exemptions collected by Zuckerberg and Chan for their donations to the CTCL, CEIR, and NVAHI during the 2020 election cycle. The CRA also requested that the IRS terminate the tax exemptions of the three groups.

How Government Secrets Are Declassified and Disclosed

WASHINGTON — The news that President Trump disclosed highly classified information about the Islamic State during a meeting with Russian officials, jeopardizing an ally’s intelligence source, has raised interest in legal issues surrounding disclosures of classified information.

Who sets the rules for declassifications or disclosures?

The classification system is regulated by executive orders, which presidents periodically update and replace. The current version is Executive Order 13526, which President Barack Obama signed in late 2009. Under its rules, “original classification authorities” — like the heads of various departments and agencies — can normally classify and declassify information “owned” by their organizations. They can then authorize its disclosure to someone who has the proper security clearance and is deemed to need to know it. But the president oversees all the agencies and can also directly exercise his powers.

Did Mr. Trump have legal authority to disclose the information?

Yes. The designation of information as a restricted national security secret is considered part of the president’s constitutional powers as commander in chief. Because the classified information system was not established and is not regulated by congressional statutes, Mr. Trump has the power to declassify or disclose anything he wants.

“The classification system is not based on a law,” said Steven Aftergood, a government secrecy specialist with the Federation of American Scientists. “It is an expression of presidential authority, and that means that the president and his designees decide what is classified, and they have the essentially unlimited authority to declassify at will. The president defines the terms of the security clearance system and the parameters that determine who may be given access to classified information.”

Did Mr. Trump’s disclosure declassify the information?

Apparently not. Notably, although White House officials put out statements late on Monday playing down any problem with what he told the Russians, the administration also implored Washington Post reporters not to publish the details lest their dissemination damage national security.

What would happen if someone else did this?

Such an official could lose his or her security clearance and job. He or she could also be prosecuted under the Espionage Act, which makes it a felony punishable by 10 years in prison to disclose information to someone not authorized to receive defense-related secrets that could hurt the United States or aid another country. In recent years, the government has frequently used that statute to prosecute people who leak information to the public.
