Ex-Boston prosecutor and social justice advocate accused of rape at NYC hotel

Priscilla DeGregory

A social justice advocate and former Boston prosecutor has been indicted for allegedly raping a woman at a New York City hotel, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Adam Foss, 42, of Los Angeles, was freed without bail at his arraignment in Manhattan Supreme Court, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree rape and sexual abuse.

Judge Curtis Farber granted him supervised release at the request of prosecutors, with the condition that he surrender his passport, the DA’s office said.

Foss — a public speaker and founder of the social justice organization Prosecutor Impact — is accused of raping a 25-year-old woman while she slept in a room at a Midtown hotel on Oct. 21, 2017.

He and the victim had been calling and texting for a month prior to the date, when she repeatedly rebuffed his efforts to have sex before the two fell asleep, prosecutors said.

Foss, who’s given lectures on criminal justice reform for TED Talk, then allegedly took advantage of the woman as she slept and “was incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless,” the indictment alleges.

Singer Raegan Sealy in 2020 publicly accused Foss of raping her after the pair met at an event where she was performing and he was giving a speech. A spokesperson for the DA’s office said they couldn’t confirm whether the woman in the indictment was Sealy, as they don’t reveal victim identities.

In an essay on Medium, Sealy claimed she told Foss, “I’m not having sex with you tonight, you’re too drunk” before repeatedly telling him to stop as he continued to try to initiate the sexual encounter.

Finally, he relented, saying, “Fine. Night Raegan,” she wrote. But then in the middle of the night, Sealy claimed, she awoke to Foss having sex with her.

“I was in too much shock to say anything. I didn’t tell him to stop. I froze,” she wrote.

Foss’ lawyer Robert Gottlieb called the allegations “preposterous” and said the encounter was consensual.

“The complaining has numerous times made statements that reflect a consensual relationship that she wanted to continue even after the date that she alleges that a crime occurred,” Gottlieb said in court.

“There is evidence known to the prosecutors that even following the date at issue the complaining witness sent texts and was sexting with our client in the hopes of continuing a sexual relationship.”...

Why was she in a hotel room with him?

Metro Nashville police Deputy Chief Mike Alexander died Friday morning at his home from natural causes.

Alexander, 53, was a 31-year-veteran of the department and appointed deputy chief of the investigative services bureau in May.

Some peeps think this guy was helping coordinate all of the false flags in Nashville like waffle hut murder, explosion downtown, and a bunch of others.

King County prosecutor has asked sheriff to investigate Durkan’s, other Seattle leaders’ deleted texts

By Daniel Beekman

Seattle Times staff reporter

King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg has asked Sheriff Patti Cole-Tindall to put together an investigation into the deletion of text messages from the phones of then-Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan and other city leaders in 2020.

“It wasn’t clear to me that anyone was going to start this investigation without prompting,” Satterberg said Thursday in an emailed statement. “Just like the public’s right to an open courtroom, people have a right to know what is in public documents — including text messages.”

Satterberg’s office requested the investigation July 28, spokesperson Casey McNerthney said.

“We are in the early stages of reviewing the matter,” said Cole-Tindall spokesperson Cynthia Sampson, giving no other information.

Last year, a whistleblower in Durkan’s office revealed that the mayor’s texts from a 10-month period — including tumultuous weeks in early summer 2020 when police deployed tear gas against Black Lives Matter protest crowds and vacated the East Precinct — were missing.

The Seattle Times subsequently discovered that a number of other leaders had failed to retain their texts from approximately the same period, including fire Chief Harold Scoggins and the police chief at the time, Carmen Best.

Anyone who willfully destroys a public record that’s supposed to be kept is guilty of a felony under state law. Most elected and public officials in Washington, including mayors, are required to take training that include information about retaining records.

From the Renz Law article:

...I frankly do not care to debate the nuance of whether the recreation of generally extinct virus “generated by reverse genetics” using pieces and parts of other animals qualifies as GoF; what I care about is that we have recreated the Spanish Flu and are experimenting with it on other animals. I also care that one focus of this article is the fact that scientists are frustrated that the recreated Spanish Flu is not dangerous enough. We do not have to get far in this to see this frustration. At the beginning of the article in the summary of its importance this statement is made:

Here, we demonstrate that even at the highest doses tested, 1918 influenza was not lethal in these two macaque species, suggesting that they are not ideal for the development and testing of novel pandemic influenza-specific vaccines and therapies. Therefore, other physiologically relevant nonhuman primate models of pandemic influenza are needed.

At this point I am preparing to release the results of a major investigation we have been undertaking at Renz Lawthat will demonstrate that SARS-COV2 was in fact created in the Wuhan labs as part of a GoF project. We believe the investigation demonstrates this in a way that far exceeds a preponderance of the evidence standard and probably exceeds reasonable doubt. With that in mind, and given the result of the the previous coronavirus GoF, can ANYONE possibly argue GoF work on the Spanish Flu is a good idea? Even the simple recreation of the disease demonstrates an incredible lack of respect for the disaster created by the coronavirus GoF.

So you may be asking, what moron could possibly be oblivious enough to support GoF work on the Spanish Flu while the world is still dealing with the nightmare that is COVID? The answer should not be surprising and is here:

Mable Chan,ᵃ Meenakshi Tiwary,ᵇ,ᶜ Helen L. Wu,ᵇ,ᶜ Nikesh Tailor,ᵃ Robert Vendramelli,ᵃ Jonathan Audet,ᵃ Bryce M. Warner,ᵃ Kevin Tierney,ᵃ Alix Albietz,ᵃ Thang Truong,ᵃ Kaylie Doan,ᵃ Alexander Bello,ᵃ Marnie Willman,ᵃ Bryan D. Griffin,ᵃ,ᵈ Patrick W. Hanley,ᵉ Jamie Lovaglio,ᵉ David Safronetz,ᵃ,ᶠ Jim Strong,ᵃ,ᶠ Jonah B. Sacha,ᵇ,ᶜ Darwyn Kobasaᵃ,ᶠ

a. Special Pathogens, National Microbiology Laboratory, Public Health Agency of Canada, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

b. Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland,

c. Oregon, USA Oregon National Primate Research Center, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Oregon, USA

d. Vaccine Safety Surveillance, Immunization Branch, Public Health Agency of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

e. Rocky Mountain Veterinary Branch, Division of Intramural Research, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health, Hamilton, Montana, USA

f. Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

So, NIH and NIAID are involved. Apparently Fauci does not mind what he did with funding the creation of COVID and is at it again. You might also note the vaccine development crew’s involvement. A foundational point in this article is that the newly recreated Spanish Flu is not dangerous enough. Here is a pull-quote:

However, 1918 influenza was uniformly nonlethal in these two species, demonstrating that this isolate is insufficiently pathogenic in rhesus and Mauritian cynomolgus macaques to support testing novel prophylactic influenza approaches where protection from severe disease combined with a lethal outcome is desired as a highly stringent indication of vaccine efficacy.

This means that these people are arguing that we need to make a more dangerous version of the Spanish Flu so they can make “better” vaccines for it… despite the fact that until they recreated it, it likely no longer existed in nature. Much like with COVID, these snake oil salesmen create the disease and then create the cure. Given the complete failure and innumerable dangers of the COVID jabs, the real question is whether the cure will be worse than the disease?..

Associated Press, by Cara Anna

Bulla Hagar, Kenya—The United States is stepping up to buy about 150,000 metric tons of grain from Ukraine in the next few weeks for an upcoming shipment of food aid from ports no longer blockaded by war, the World Food Program chief has told The Associated Press. The final destinations for the grain are not confirmed and discussions continue, David Beasley said. But the planned shipment, one of several the U.N. agency that fights hunger is pursuing, is more than six times the amount of grain that the first WFP-arranged ship from Ukraine is now carrying toward people in the Horn of Africa at risk of starvation.

A whopping 4.9 million illegal immigrants have crossed our border since Biden has taken office, a report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) found. The president of FAIR Dan Stein discussed the report, stating that “Roughly the equivalent of the entire population of Ireland has illegally entered the United States in the 18 months President Biden has been in office, with many being released into American communities.” He continued, saying “In that time, the Biden administration has blamed an unprecedented surge of illegal immigration on all sorts of external factors, except their own sabotage of our nation’s immigration laws.”(Snip)With 199,976 illegal immigrants entering in July,

Thousands gather to fete South Africa's new Zulu king

Updated: Aug 20, 2022, 07:54 PM(IST)

Thousands of people gathered at the Zulu royal palace in South Africa on Saturday for the coronation of a new king in the country's richest and most influential traditional monarchy.

Misuzulu Zulu, 47, is set to succeed his father, Goodwill Zwelithini, who died in March last year after 50 years in charge but a bitter succession dispute threatens to overshadow the ceremony.

Although the title of king does not bestow any executive power, the monarchs wield great moral influence over more than 11 million Zulus, who make up nearly a fifth of South Africa's population.

Men and women in colourful traditional outfits assembled outside the marble palace on the hills of Nongoma, a small town in the southeastern province of KwaZulu-Natal, the Zulu heartland.

Tens of thousands more were expected to arrive throughout the day to honour the new sovereign.

"Today, the king will be acknowledged by the whole Zulu Nation," Misuzulu's sister, Princess Ntandoyesizwe Zulu, 46, told AFP.

Yet, an acrimonious family dispute over the throne raged.

On Saturday, a court in Pietermaritzburg was to hear an urgent application by a branch of the royal family to block all ceremonies.

Coronation rites

In Nongoma, lines of Zulu warriors known as amaButhos holding spears and shields of animal skin, marched into the palace grounds.

Women — some bare-chested, others in pleated skirts and beaded belts or draped with fabrics bearing the effigy of the sovereign — sang and danced.

On Friday night, Misuzulu entered the palace's "cattle kraal" where he took part in a secret rite designed to present the new monarch to his ancestors.

Only select members of the royal family and amaButhos were allowed in the enclosure which is protected from curious eyes by a thick fence of tree trunks.

"It's a holy place, we can't reveal to the world what is happening there," said Muntomuhle Mcambi, 34, an amaButho.

Earlier this week, the soon-to-be king also killed a lion at a nearby reserve — in one of the last steps before the coronation.

Family spat

His path to the crown has not been smooth. King Zwelithini left six wives and at least 28 children when he died last year.

Misuzulu is the first son of Zwelithini's third wife, who he designated as regent in his will.

But the queen died suddenly a month later, leaving a will naming Misuzulu as the next king — a development that did not go down well with other branches of the family.

Queen Sibongile Dlamini, the late king's first wife, has backed her son Prince Simakade Zulu as the rightful heir.

Some of the late king's brothers have put forward a third prince as their candidate for the throne.

Queen Sibongile's legal bid to challenge the succession was revived Friday as she was granted the right to appeal a previous unfavourable ruling.

On Saturday, two of her daughters filed an urgent application to stop all rituals pending the appeal.

"Those who are Zulu and know the traditions, know who is the king," said Themba Fakazi, an adviser to the previous ruler who supports Misuzulu.

The next Zulu monarch will inherit a fortune and tap into a rich seam of income.

Zwelithini received some 71 million rand ($4.2 million) a year from the government and owned several palaces and other properties.

A royal trust manages almost three million hectares (7.4 million acres) of land — an area about the size of Belgium.

President Cyril Ramaphosa, who in March recognised Misuzulu as the rightful king, is to formally certify the crowning at a ceremony in the coming months.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

Office of Public Affairs

DHS and Law Enforcement Partners host the 2022 Intelligence Summit

WASHINGTON – The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) hosted an Intelligence Summit this week in partnership with the International Association of Chiefs of Police and other national law enforcement organizations to deepen partnerships and continue to adapt and improve information sharing as public safety and national security threats evolve. Held in Alexandria, Virginia, August 17-18, 2022, thesummit was the first of its kind to be held in 15 yearsand is a critical element of the Department of Homeland Security’s work to empower, inform, and engage law enforcement and homeland security partners in anticipating and responding to potential threats.

“In the 20 years since 9/11, our law enforcement and homeland security community has made great progress inreshaping our information sharingenvironment – working together, we put policies and processes in place that help us to be safer and more secure than we were years ago,” said Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas. “We are committed to building on this foundation, as we are facing a more complex, diverse, and dynamic threat landscape than ever before. The wide array of threats we face impact the safety and security of local communities of every size and location across our great country. The most effective way in which we address these challenges is through our partnerships, working together with one another.”

“In the weeks since I rejoined public service, the importance of our partnerships and the value of coordinated information sharing has been clear to me every day, and the collaborative spirit at this week’s summit shows the depth of engagement we have built together over the last 20 years,” said DHS Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis Ken Wainstein. “We are wholly committed to prioritizing close connectivity with our federal, state and local partners to enhance our information sharing initiatives and build the partnerships that are necessary to combat the threats of today and anticipate the threats of tomorrow.”

Federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners convened shortly after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, creating a domestic information sharing architecture to enable the timely and seamless exchange of information to detect and eliminate terrorist threats. The threat environment has continued to evolve since that time, and DHS is committed to enhancing its collaboration with state, local, tribal, territorial, and campus (SLTTC) partners to stay ahead.

The 2022 Intelligence Summit served as a forum to galvanize collaboration and commitment to supporting SLTTC partners as they protect their communities. Senior leaders and key stakeholders convened with the goal of discovering new opportunities and improving existing avenues to enhance information sharing between all levels of government, while ensuring the protection of the privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties of U.S. citizens. During the Summit, the participants discussed opportunities to enhance information sharing efforts, including:

The importance of sharing intelligence in a timely manner, and at the lowest classification level possible, including the value of the recently releasedDHS Intel Mobile Application.

The necessity of strong protections of privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties across all intelligence and information sharing efforts.

The critical role of theCriminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC)in supporting and coordinating efforts across all levels of government to develop and share intelligence and information across the nation.

Opportunities to enhance the identification andreporting of suspicious activitythrough the Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI).

The value of theFusion Center Engagement and Information Sharing Strategy, which outlines DHS’s commitment to supporting our law enforcement and homeland security partners in states and cities nationwide, and describes how fusion centers enable information sharing vital to our national security.

1,200 Scientists and Professionals Declare: “There is No Climate Emergency”

by Chris Morrison

18 August 2022 3:14 PM

Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific. In particular, scientists should emphasize that their modeling output is not the result of magic: computer models are human-made. What comes out is fully dependent on what theoreticians and programmers have put in: hypotheses, assumptions, relationships, parameterizations, stability constraints, etc. Unfortunately, in mainstream climate science most of this input is undeclared.

To believe the outcome of a climate model is to believe what the model makers have put in. This is precisely the problem of today’s climate discussion to which climate models are central. Climate science has degenerated into a discussion based on beliefs, not on sound self-critical science. We should free ourselves from the naïve belief in immature climate models. In future, climate research must give significantly more emphasis to empirical science.

There is no climate emergency

A global network of over 1100 scientists and professionals has prepared this urgent message. Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific. Scientists should openly address uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of their policy measures.

Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming

The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experiencing a period of warming.

Warming is far slower than predicted

The world has warmed significantly less than predicted by IPCC on the basis of modeled anthropogenic forcing. The gap between the real world and the modeled world tells us that we are far from understanding climate change.

Climate policy relies on inadequate models

Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as global policy tools. They blow up the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2. In addition, they ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with CO2 is beneficial.

CO2 is plant food, the basis of all life on Earth

CO2 is not a pollutant. It is essential to all life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth: additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yields of crops worldwide.

Global warming has not increased natural disasters

There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent. However, there is ample evidence that CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly.

Climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities

There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. If better approaches emerge, and they certainly will, we have ample time to reflect and re-adapt. The aim of global policy should be ‘prosperity for all’ by providing reliable and affordable energy at all times. In a prosperous society men and women are well educated, birthrates are low and people care about their environment.

Epilogue

The World Climate Declaration (WCD) has brought a large variety of competent scientists together from all over the world*. The considerable knowledge and experience of this group is indispensable in reaching a balanced, dispassionate and competent view of climate change.

From now onward the group is going to function as “Global Climate Intelligence Group”. The CLINTEL Group will give solicited and unsolicited advice on climate change and energy transition to governments and companies worldwide.

* It is not the number of experts but the quality of arguments that counts

Chinese ambassador outlines BRICS vision

BRICS has evolved into a major player in the international arena, attracting other nations, the Chinese envoy to Moscow believes

Russia and China remain key pillars of BRICS, an international alliance also comprising India, Brazil and South Africa, the Chinese ambassador to Moscow wrote in a guest opinion piece for Russia’s TASS news agency, published on Saturday.

The two nations are the major “drivers” behind the development of the group, which is gradually becoming a leading force in the international arena, Zhang Hanhui, added.

The BRICS countries account for 42% of the world’s population and 25% of the global economy, Zhang said, adding that they account for roughly half of global economic growth, meaning that “the value of cooperation within BRICS is constantly rising.”

The group of emerging economies is increasingly attracting the attention of other nations, the envoy said, noting that representatives of 50 countries took part in various BRICS+ events in the first half of this year alone. He also welcomed the development of the BRICS+ format, which allows other countries to join the group’s permanent members in certain discussions. Three such events this year were attended by the leaders of 13 non-BRICS states, Zhang said.

International challenges, including the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ukraine conflict and rising tensions between major world powers, demand that Moscow and Beijing “strengthen their strategic cooperation,” the ambassador said, adding that BRICS should also “support efforts opposing hegemony and contribute to the establishment of real multilateralism” in international relations.

The ambassador pointed out that since the start of 2022, the BRICS nations have agreed on several initiatives in the field of economic digitalization and technology sharing. Beijing, which heads the group this year, has put forward a number of initiatives that would further enhance cooperation between members in the fields of innovation, he added.

The Covid-19 pandemic also demonstrated the need for closer cooperation in medical research, the ambassador said, pointing to the need for sharing healthcare products with developing nations to help them overcome the pandemic. Zhang noted that in March, the BRICS countries launched a joint vaccine development center, offering joint research and development platforms to developing nations.

The ambassador stressed that the BRICS group aims to contribute to international peace and stability as well as equality and justice in international relations. “We are sure that a more powerful and more representative as well as more active BRICS family could make a greater contribution to the international efforts aimed at defending justice, equality and solidarity as well as countering hegemony, harassment and division,” Zhang added.

Balkan nation’s government toppled in no-confidence vote

Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic’s cabinet has become the most short-lived in the country’s history

The parliament of Montenegro passed a no-confidence motion on the government of Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic on Saturday. With his premiership ending after just four months, Abazovic was the shortest-serving leader since Montenegro’s independence from Serbia in 2006.

After a 12-hour sitting of parliament that began on Friday, 50 out of 81 MPs voted against Abazovic’s coalition government, ending his tenure as prime minister.

The vote was called by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) of President Milo Djukanovic, after Abazovic signed an agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church earlier this month. Critics of the pact say it gives special rights to the church that are not extended to other religions.

Serbs, a majority of whom opposed Montenegro’s independence from Serbia in 2006, make up around a third of Montenegro’s population. Pro-European Montenegrins see the Serbian church as a channel of Serbian and Russian influence in the country.

Abazovic, an ethnic Albanian, insisted that the deal would resolve religious disputes and allow his government to focus on meeting the EU’s requirements for membership. Montenegro has been an EU candidate country since 2010, but a 2021 report by the European Commission found that the country had made only limited progress in tackling political infighting, judicial corruption, and organized crime, particularly tobacco smuggling and money laundering.

Addressing lawmakers after the no-confidence motion, Abazovic suggested that criminal groups influenced the vote.

"This country will be ruled either by criminals or by citizens," he said. "And I'm sorry ... that organized crime in Montenegro still uses its tentacles to regulate political relations."

Djukanovic, who has served as either president or prime minister of Montenegro for most of the past three decades, has long been accused of ties to organized crime, and was named in the 2021 Pandora Papers leak as funneling cash to several offshore trusts. Djukanovic has also been accused of anti-Serb discrimination, particularly after his party sponsored a law in 2019 that would have transferred much of the Serbian Orthodox Church’s property to the state of Montenegro.

As lawmakers brawled over the proposed legislation, Djukanovic, a staunch pro-Westerner, called protesting Serbs “lunatics.”

Abazovic will likely remain in office until a successor is chosen or snap elections are called. He is the second successive Montenegrin premier to be defeated by a no-confidence vote this year, after Zdravko Krivokapic’s government was ousted in February. Krivokapic, who backed the Orthodox church against the 2019 law, had been in office just over a year.

I hear the the great Agents and others in the FBI are furious at FBI leadership for what they are doing with respect to political weaponization against a President (me) that always had their backs, and that they like (love!) a lot. They don’t like being “used” by people they do not agree with, or respect. Likewise, they are not exactly thrilled with the leadership at DOJ! Similar to the revolt against Comey when he exonerated Crooked Hillary, but was forced, by them, to withdraw the exoneration!

Obama’s Chief Agriculture Advisor Just Headlined a Major Chinese Communist Party Event.

Which brings the running total of Democrat appointees willing to sell America out to China to about 100%.

A chief advisor to the U.S. Department of Agriculture during the presidency of Barack H. Obama recently headlined an event sponsored by a Chinese Communist Party influence group targeting American farmers and farmland, The National Pulse can reveal.

The incident is the latest example of high-level, left-wing government aides ending up in the orbit of the Chinese Communist Party and comes amidst the regime’s attempt to purchase massive amounts of farmland in the U.S.

Joseph W. Glauber – who served as Obama’s Chief Economist at the Department of Agriculture from 2008 to 2014 – was a featured speaker for an August 15th event hosted by the U.S.-China Heartland Association (USCHA).

Glauber, who also served as America’s Chief Agricultural Negotiator in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative from 2007 to 2009, spoke on a panel hosted by the group titled “Finding Security: US-China Agriculture Trade in a Changing World.”

“As a global food security crisis is looming large over the horizon, what is the future of U.S.-China Ag trade, and how can the two countries collaborate to address global food security?” explained a summary of what participants would learn from attending the event.

The group hosting Glauber – who is now a Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) – has deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party and its vast efforts to subvert American politicians, academics, and journalists. The D.C.-based IFPRI is also funded in part by U.S. taxpayer dollars and China.

Founded by former Democrat Governor of Missouri Bob Holden, the USHCA purports to be a “bipartisan organization committed to building stronger ties between USHCA Region (20 states located in the USA between the Great Lakes to the Gulf) and the People’s Republic of China.”

“Our focus will be on Trust Building efforts connecting government officials; business leaders; educational and community interests with like-minded institutions between the Heartland Region and the People’s Republic of China,” the group’s mission statement euphemizes.

In reality, the group is leveraged by several Chinese Communist Party-controlled organizations to gain access to American agricultural officials and company representatives.

Among the Chinese Communist Party influence groups that collaborate with USHCA are the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and China United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), both of which are part of Beijing’s United Front Work Department.

Walensky: CDC Needs to Tell People ‘What We Don’t Know’

During a portion of an interview with Fox News Medical Contributor and Clinical Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine Dr. Marc Siegel aired on Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America Reports,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said that one lesson from the coronavirus pandemic is that “We need to say what we know, when we know it, provide timely data, and give people updates” and that also includes “telling people what we don’t know as we’re making decisions.”

Walensky stated, “What this pandemic taught us and showed us is that now we need to talk to the American people. We need to say what we know, when we know it, provide timely data, and give people updates along the way. And yes, that also means telling people what we don’t know as we’re making decisions.”

FNC’s Dr. Siegel: CDC Problems ‘Way Beyond’ What They’re Admitting — You Had Teachers’ Unions Keeping Schools Closed

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America Reports,” Fox News Medical Contributor and Clinical Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine Dr. Marc Siegel reacted to calls to reform the CDC by its Director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, by stating that the agency’s problems “go way beyond anything that anybody’s admitted here.” And one major issue is the politicization of the coronavirus pandemic, such as “the fact that the teachers’ unions are involved with keeping schools shuttered, not only the CDC. There’s an elaborate network of politicking that’s involved here, not just science.”

Siegel stated, [relevant remarks begin around 3:15] “I don’t think she’s going anywhere. I think she’s an infectious disease specialist. She’s public health. I think they’re committed to her. I am surprised at the degree to which she’s come out and said there are shortcomings here, but I agree with you, that they go way beyond anything that anybody’s admitted here. And it doesn’t make a quick fix. And the one thing that is not being discussed, John, which you know well, is the degree to which this whole thing is politicized. I mean, if you say it stinks at the head, you’re talking about the fact that the teachers’ unions are involved with keeping schools shuttered, not only the CDC. There’s an elaborate network of politicking that’s involved here, not just science. But I think that she’s respected as a scientist. I don’t think she’s going anywhere. I admire her coming forward, I don’t think it goes far enough at all.”

Mexico’s Former Attorney General Arrested Following Student Massacre Investigation

Mexican authorities arrested the country’s former top prosecutor in connection with the investigation and coverup of a massacre of 43 education students. The murders allegedly took place at the hands of cartel gunmen and corrupt cops.

On Friday afternoon, Mexican federal authorities with the help of Mexico’s Navy, arrested Jesus Murillo Karam, the former Attorney General for Mexico on the charges of torture, forced disappearances, and crimes against the administration of justice, a statement from the country’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) revealed.

The arrest took place at Murillo Karam’s home on Friday afternoon. In the statement, the FGR revealed that after notifying him of the arrest warrant. He did not resist and collaborated with authorities as they transferred him to the agency headquarters.

The arrest comes just one day after Mexico’s Undersecretary for Human Rights Alejandro Encinas issued a preliminary report from the Commission for Truth and Access to Justice on the Ayotzinapa Case. In the report, Encinas called the case a “State Crime” that was carried out by the highest officials under the previous presidential administration. Encinas claimed that government officials at the federal and state level carried out ommissions, were negligent, and altered evidence, facts, and circumstances to push a false narrative of events that became known as the “Historical Truth.”

As Breitbart Texas reported, in 2014, 43 education students from Ayotzinapa took buses on their way to a protest and were never heard from again. At the time, Murillo Karam claimed that the students had been taken by police officers and turned over to cartel members. The cartel members then killed the students and incinerated their remains in a landfill near the town of Cocula. Since then, the version of events was disputed by international forensic experts, and claims of torture surrounded the investigation into the case.

Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador made solving the Ayotzinapa Case one of the main crusades of his administration.

There are several rules to ensure the safety of everyone involved, including:

- All participants must arrive and remain in a car throughout the process. Police cannot accept anyone who walks up to the event, cyclists or motorcycle operators.

- All participants and occupants of the car must be 18 years or older.

- Firearms should be unloaded in a case, box, bag or secured with a gun lock.

- All firearms must be in the vehicle's trunk, truck bed or rear cargo area.

- Firearms must not be within the driver or occupants' reach.

Raleigh police will secure and remove each firearm from the vehicle.

Police are offering gift cards up to $200 for guns.

“You might have an individual who has a loved one who has passed and they have a lot of firearms in the home and they are uncomfortable with that,” said Raleigh Police Chief Estella Patterson. “It might be an elderly person who might be afraid that these firearms could be stolen in some manner and with that they want to willfully surrender them.”

'Summer of love' mayor Jenny Durkan being investigated by Seattle police over missing communications during 2020 riots

The texts could clarify the confusion surrounding the orders allegedly given by former Mayor Jenny Durkan’s office instructing then-Police Chief Carmen Best to begin plans and implementation for abandoning the East Precinct and allow armed rioters to occupy over six-square blocks of Capitol Hill.

The King County Sheriff's Office is investigating whether former Mayor Jenny Durkan, ex-police chief Carmen Best and other city officials violated the law when thousands of text messages during the 2020 riots and the deadly Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) were deleted from their city-issued phones, according to Axios.

The outlet reported that the Sheriff's Office opened the investigation on July 28 at the request of King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg. Satterberg said in a statement "The case had never been referred to us, and typically we don't ask for an investigation to be conducted. But in recent weeks and months, I heard from people in the community that this matter was important to them and I considered it my responsibility to make this request to the Sheriff before the end of my term."

A Sheriff's Office spokesperson told Axios that the agency was "in the early stages of reviewing this matter" and looks "forward to sharing periodic updates as appropriate."

The willful destruction or concealment of a public record is a felony in the state of Washington. The text messages are considered public records and are required under state law to be kept. Additionally, the texts could serve as evidence in multiple pending lawsuits against the city over its handling of the 2020 riots and the CHAZ.

Former FBI Special Agent Says Biden’s DOJ Pushed For Mar-A-Lago Raid

A former FBI special agent said that she believes the Department of Justice pushed the FBI to raid Mar-a-Lago and thinks that the FBI likely pushed back.

She also implied that she believes the real pushing came from the administration of President Joe Biden.

“Sometimes I think it’s just a really good idea to sit back and let the chips fall where they may,” former special agent Maureen O’Connell said on Fox News “Special Report” Panel, hosted by Bret Baier, The Daily Mail reported.

“But when I look at the totality of the situation here, I really think when we talk about spirited conversations going on for a couple of weeks, and DOJ — it seems to me the DOJ is heavy in this situation,” she said.

“That they were trying to push the [FBI] to do this warrant. They were trying to push the Bureau to really, really hit this situation hard.

“And my guess would be that the Bureau was the one going against the DOJ in this particular situation, because when you consider which entity has more to lose — the FBI clearly has much more to lose from this situation,” she said.

It came after former FBI special agent Michael Tabman said that the order would have had to been approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“I think there was inside information – call it an informant if you want,” he said to The DailyMail.

“I believe either someone told them something or some other information was stumbled upon, which was kind of conclusive in their minds that they had to go now to get that or they’re not getting it,” he said.

According to a new Rassmussen Reports survey, a majority of likely voters — 53 percent — say they view the FBI now as President Joe Biden’s “personal Gestapo” that he is using to persecute a political opponent.

The majority agreed with the statement that “there is a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI that are using the FBI as Joe Biden’s personal Gestapo,” the survey said, as reported by the Washington Examiner.

Last December, just 46 percent of likely voters agreed with the same question, the outlet continued, adding:

UN Recruited Over 100,000 ‘Digital First Responders’ to Push Establishment COVID Narrative

October 2020 admission gets fresh attention.

At the height of the pandemic, the United Nations recruited over 100,000 “digital first responders’ to push the establishment narrative on COVID via social media.

The revelation actually slipped out in October 2020 during a World Economic Forum podcast called ‘Seeking a cure for the infodemic’, although it is only going viral on Twitter today.

In the podcast, Melissa Fleming, head of global communications for the United Nations, explains how the COVID pandemic and lockdowns created a “communications crisis” in addition to a public health emergency.

Fleming acknowledged that in order to fight so-called “misinformation” about the pandemic, the UN tapped up 110,000 people to amplify their messaging across social media.

“So far, we’ve recruited 110,000 information volunteers, and we equip these information volunteers with the kind of knowledge about how misinformation spreads and ask them to serve as kind of ‘digital first-responders’ in those spaces where misinformation travels,” Fleming stated.

That was nearly 2 years ago. It is not known how many ‘digital first responders’ have been recruited up to this point.

Similar efforts to create astroturf campaigns to push a specific message are nothing new, but when entities such as oil companies engage in it, they are lambasted for rigging the discussion.

However, when globalist technocrats at the UN or the WEF do it, apparently it’s fine.

Last year, it was revealed that the British government used “propagandistic” fear tactics to scare the public into mass compliance during the first COVID lockdown, according to a behavioral scientist who worked inside Downing Street.

Scientists in the UK working as advisors for the government admitted using what they later conceded to be “unethical” and “totalitarian” methods of instilling fear in the population in order to control behavior during the pandemic.

As we previously highlighted, the World Economic Forum is now advocating for the merger of human and artificial intelligence systems to censor “hate speech” and “misinformation” online before it is even allowed to be posted.

In what some dubbed “preemptive censorship,” the WEF is creating a system that would block posts from appearing if they fail the censorship filter.

Of course, the WEF, which is infamous for blocking its critics on Twitter, would never abuse such a system to shield itself from scrutiny.

Should you get any vaccines? The data shows the more you vax, the sicker you are.

If you took 100% of the vaccines they want you to take, you're about 10X more likely to have medical issues. That's not a typo: 10X, not 10%!

When I interviewed Andrew Wakefield, he told me that you are roughly 10X more likely to be sick if you are vaccinated with the normal schedule vs. the unvaccinated.

Here is a link to the paper co-authored by my good friend James Lyons-Weiler which shows this very clearly: Relative Incidence of Office Visits and Cumulative Rates of Billed Diagnoses Along the Axis of Vaccination by James Lyons-Weiler and Paul Thomas.

Here’s a key figure from the paper showing the more vaccinations you accept, the greater your chance of seeing the doctor (relative incidence of office visits). The trends were true for other causes as well (See Fig 4 and 5).

Ukraine war veterans on how Kiev plundered US aid, wasted soldiers, endangered civilians, and lost the war

“The weapons are stolen, the humanitarian aid is stolen, and we have no idea where the billions sent to this country have gone,” a Ukrainian complained to The Grayzone.

In a video sent via Facebook messenger in July, Ivan* can be seen standing next to his car, an early 2010s model Mitsubishi SUV. Smoke is pouring out of the rear window. Ivan laughs and pans his phone’s camera across the length of the vehicle, pointing out bullet holes. “The turbocharger died in my car,” he said, panning his phone toward the front of the vehicle. “My commander says I should pay to repair it myself. So to use my own car in the war, I need to buy a new turbocharger with my own money.”

Ivan flipped the camera toward his face. “Well, you fucking motherfucker members of parliament, I hope you fuck each other. Devils. I wish you were in our place,” he said.

Last month, Ukraine’s parliamentarians voted to give themselves a 70% salary increase. Filings indicate the raise was enabled and encouraged by the billions of dollars and euros of aid that have poured in from the US and Europe.

“We, the Ukrainian soldiers, have nothing,” said Ivan. “The things the soldiers have been given to use in the war came directly from volunteers. The aid that goes to our government will never reach us.”

Ivan has been a soldier since 2014. Currently, he’s stationed in the Donbas region, where he is tasked with using small, consumer-grade drones to spot Russian positions for artillery targeting. “There are so many problems on the frontline now,” he said. “We don’t have an internet connection, which makes our work basically impossible. We have to drive to get a connection on mobile devices. Can you imagine?”

Another soldier in Ivan’s unit sent us a video of himself from a trench near the frontlines in Donbas. “According to documents, the government has built us a bunker here,” he says. “But as you see, there are only a few centimeters of a wood covering over our heads, and this is supposed to protect us from tank and artillery shelling. The Russians shell us for hours at a time. We dug these trenches ourselves. We have two AK-74s between 5 soldiers here, and they jam constantly because of all the dust.

“I went to my commander and explained the situation. I told him it’s too hard to hold this position. I told him I understand this is a strategically important point, but our squad is broken, and no relief is coming for us. In 10 days, 15 soldiers died here, all from shelling and shrapnel. I asked the commander if we could bring some heavy equipment to build a better bunker and he refused, because he said the Russian shelling could damage the equipment. Does he not care that 15 of our soldiers died here?”

“If you tried to explain the situation Ukrainian soldiers are facing to an American soldier, they would think you were insane,” said Ivan. “Imagine telling an American soldier that we are using our personal cars in the war, and we’re also responsible for paying for repairs and fuel. We’re buying our own body armor and helmets. We don’t have observation tools or cameras, so soldiers have to pop their heads out to see what’s coming, which means at any moment, a rocket or tank can tear their heads off.”

Illya*, a 23 year-old soldier from Kiev, says his unit is facing the same conditions in another part of the Donbas region. He joined the Ukrainian Army shortly after the war started. He has a background in IT and knew such expertise was in high demand. “If I had known how much deception there was in this Army, and how everything would be for us, I never would have joined,” he said. “I want to go home, but if I flee, I face prison.”

Illya and the other soldiers in his unit lack weapons and protective gear. “In Ukraine, people cheat each other even in war,” he said. “I’ve watched the medical supplies donated to us being taken away. The cars that drove us to our position were stolen. And we have not been replaced with new soldiers in three months, though we should have been relieved three times by now.”

Texas School District Pushes Teachers To Take ‘LGBTQIA+’ Training on Taxpayers’ Dime

Austin Independent School District course says gender is 'innermost concept of self as male, female, neither or both'

A Texas school district encouraged K-12 teachers to take paid time off, at taxpayer expense, to take a course on "how to create supportive learning environments for LGBTQIA+" students as young as five years old.

The Austin Independent School District's course material, obtained through a public information request, defined gender identity as the "innermost concept of self as male, female, neither or both," calling it "one's authentic identity." The course also provided an example of a girl who questions her gender identity and asked how teachers should properly respond.

"A 14-year-old youth, who recently asked to be called Ronnie not Veronica, discloses to you a desire to go by ‘they' pronouns," one PowerPoint slide read. "Ronnie wants to cut their hair short but isn’t sure how their parents will react, making them feel anxious. Ronnie is also stressed because while they have been dating Julie and ‘came out as a lesbian' in 7th grade, they have started to have feelings for Ted, who identifies as male, and this is confusing for them."

The Austin public school district did not respond to a request for comment on the substance of the training course.

The district pushed the teacher training amid a series of fights nationwide over whether students should be taught about gender identity and transgenderism. The Free Beacon reported last year that these debates over sex education at the local level are fueled by liberal advocacy groups that push public schools to promote gender ideology to elementary students. One district spiked a sex education plan in Nebraska after parents discovered it was secretly advised by a Planned Parenthood activist, the Free Beacon reported.

The Austin public school district sparked controversy in June when it defied orders from Texas attorney general Ken Paxton (R.), who labeled its pride parade as "human sexuality instruction," which requires parents to approve their children's participation. The district rejected Paxton's claim and followed through with the parade without parental approval.

The "Be a Beacon" gender course is run by Out Youth, which in a February Facebook post claimed that so-called gender-affirming care for transgender children "saves lives." The training course cited resources from two prominent LGBT groups that also support children receiving puberty blockers and hormone treatment. The presentation cited a book titled, The Transgender Child: A Handbook for Families and Professionals.

"Are you, or parts of you, both? How do you know?" the course asked teachers. "If your anatomy changed overnight to the opposite sex, would it change who you feel yourself to be?"

House Foreign Affairs Republicans warn of 'reconstitution' of al Qaeda, ISIS-K in Afghanistan

"The American people have seen proof of al Qaeda's presence in Afghanistan: Ayman al Zawahiri was found living freely in downtown Kabul," says a report from the House Foreign Affairs Committee minority.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans are issuing warnings in a new report about the "reconstitution" of al Qaeda and ISIS-K in Afghanistan since the Biden administration's "unconditional withdrawal" last year.

The report from the committee's minority members also points out connections between the Taliban and al Qaeda.

"Following the unconditional withdrawal, the committee minority also believes Afghanistan has once again become a safe haven for terrorist entities," according to the full, 115-page interim report called, "'A Strategic Failure'; Assessing the Administration's Afghanistan Withdrawal."

"The unconditional military withdrawal and the simultaneous end of the American diplomatic presence in Kabul would leave the U.S. government without a counterterrorism partner in an Afghanistan now awash with militants and terrorists — many released from prison by the Taliban," reads the report.

File

HFAC GOP Afghanistan Report .pdf

The committee's minority, led by ranking member Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), said the strike that killed al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri earlier this month serves as an example of terrorist activity in Afghanistan.

"The American people have seen proof of al Qaeda's presence in Afghanistan: Ayman al Zawahiri was found living freely in downtown Kabul in a home reportedly owned by a member of the Haqqani network, the members of which occupy senior positions in the new Taliban regime," reads the report. "Thankfully al Zawahiri was killed in a U.S. drone strike last month but officials warn that al Qaeda and ISIS-K continue to grow their presence in Afghanistan."

Almost as if in confirmation of the report's findings, a bombing Wednesday at a mosque in Kabul killed 21, and while no one has yet claimed responsibility, ISIS is widely suspected of being behind the attack.

The Republican members on the committee cautioned that the U.S. military's "inability to have access to bases in countries bordering Afghanistan means that the U.S. does not have as effective surveillance or strike capabilities as it did when the U.S. military had a presence in multiple bases in Afghanistan, or as effective as it could have been had the Biden Administration successfully negotiated basing arrangements with one of Afghanistan's neighbors."

The report notes that the United Nations has warned the international community about the rise of terrorist groups within Afghanistan since the U.S. withdrawal. The GOP members report that "senior U.S. commanders have said the two terror groups could reconstitute and target the United States as early as six months following the date of the withdrawal."

Did Joe Biden Reclassify the Russia Collusion

Docs That Trump Declassified?

PJ Media, by Victoria Taft

By now you know the story of the raid on Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., but since then, there’s been a pitched debate in the chattering class on TV and the media about Trump’s ability to declassify information. And since he did declassify items, why is it an alleged crime now to possess those documents? I may have the beginnings of an answer. It’s indisputable that the president may classify and declassify documents. The office of the president has had this authority since World War II. President Obama codified the executive authority to do it in an Executive Order. Even the Washington Post had to admit that.

Can the FBI be trusted? A Federalist analysis of agency lies over the last decade is an unequivocal no. FISA Warrants -In the summer of 2016, FBI bureaucrats launched a deep-state operation, known as Crossfire Hurricane, to thwart then-candidate Trump’s presidential ambitions. It began by targeting Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos and quickly branched out as bureaucrats expanded their surveillance. The spy agency used the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) as a legal pretext to investigate and spy on Papadopoulos, in addition to former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, and former Trump adviser Carter Page.

Supreme Court issues rare emergency order

favoring voters challenging elections rules

CNN, by Tierney Sneed

Posted By: Dreadnought, 8/20/2022 1:09:27 PM

Washington - The Supreme Court on Friday sided with Black voters who challenged Georgia's system of electing members to the state's Public Service Commission, which regulates public utilities in the state. The move was a rare example of the conservative court siding with voters over state officials in disputes regarding election rules, especially when the court is asked to act on an emergency basis. The Supreme Court restored a district court ruling requiring that this year's election for two of the commission seats be postponed so that the legislature could create a new system for electing commissioners.

Judges Rule DOJ’s Secret Memo That Shot Down Claims Trump ‘Obstructed Justice’ During Mueller Probe Must Be Made Public

https://beckernews.com/judges-rule-dojs-secret-memo-that-shot-down-claims-trump-obstructed-justice-during-mueller-probe-must-be-made-public-46505/

A U.S. District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled on Friday that the Department of Justice must turn over an Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) memo that was sent to former Attorney General William Barr indicating the position that former President Donald Trump did not ‘obstruct justice’ in his response to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian collusion claims.

The Justice Department’s court-ordered public release of the OLC memo would further dispel accusations that Donald Trump violated any federal laws during his political campaign or in response to the federal investigation of Russiagate.

The legal victory for public transparency in the Russiagate probe was announced on Friday by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, which is party to the appeal in U.S. District Court.

Gary Busey charged with sex offenses at Monster-Mania Con

Sat, August 20, 2022, 1:29 PM

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (AP) — Actor Gary Busey has been charged with sexual offenses at a New Jersey fan convention this month.

Busey, 78, was charged Friday with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact and one count of harassment, Cherry Hill police said Saturday.

The charges stem from offenses at the annual Monster Mania Convention at the Doubletree Hotel on Aug. 12-14 in Cherry Hill, a Philadelphia suburb, police said.

Busey, who lives in Malibu, California, was scheduled as a featured guest for all three days of the event.

Police did not immediately respond to a message seeking details. It also wasn't clear whether Busey has an attorney to comment on the charges, and a representative didn't immediately return a message seeking comment Saturday.

Busey is widely known as a character actor, largely in supporting roles, though he came to attention and was nominated for an Oscar for best actor for playing the title role in the 1978 film “The Buddy Holly Story.”

Video Surfaces of Pennsylvania Democrat Senate Candidate John Fetterman Saying He Wants to Release “One-Third” of the Prison Population

A video surfaced of Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman saying he wants to release “one-third” of the prison population.

John Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s current Lt. Governor who is now the Democrat nominee for US Senate, is one of the most radical Democrat in the senate race.

Fetterman is running against Republican nominee Dr. Mehmet Oz in the 2022 US Senate race in Pennsylvania.

In 2020, Fetterman said, “I agree with” releasing “a third” of the prison population.

Fetterman says this will make Pennsylvania a safer place to live.

Democrat Fetterman also wants to legalize heroin and allow taxpayer funded drug dens.
