Serious Questions Remain After Michigan News Channel and AP Publish Election Results One Week Before Actual Election

Last night something miraculous happened: Tudor Dixon won the GOP primary for governor in Michigan! She received 47% of the vote compared to Ryan Kelley (23%) and Kevin Rinke (13%). Dixon is endorsed by the DeVos family, one of the most influential families in the State of Michigan. She is also endorsed by the “RINO” Sen. Majority Leader, Mike Shirkey.

Incumbent Peter Meijer also defeated John Gibbs by a 50% spread. And Tom Norton lost to John Moolenaar for US House District 2 in a 55%/45% race.

The problem is Michigan’s election primary doesn’t take place for another eight days on August 2nd. Last night, several news networks published to their websites, prematurely, a results page displaying predominantly GOP races. There were a handful of democrat primaries sprinkled into the published results. While no link was put on their home page leading to these results, they were live and searchable by Google and other search engines.

How could one not think something like this would go viral if discovered by anyone and shared? It is flat-out irresponsible to have published the results using actual candidates.

When asked about his race being influenced by premature and inaccurate results, Tom Norton, running for US House District 2, said, “I hope this is them stress testing the reporting system. The press has a constitutional duty to be fair and balanced, yet sadly, we all know they have joined the likes of Goebbels-style disinformation. 2.6 million Americans have died for the right to vote to be protected. Any election fraud at any level is unacceptable.”

This begs the question “Does this constitute election influence?” Does publishing results of a race a week before the election and without any disclaimer letting people know that these are in no way actual numbers influence people to either not show up or show up more for a particular candidate? And who is responsible?

Last night, New Channel 3 WWMT TV, when asked how the results for the primary were published responded shockingly:

“Thank you for your concern. Our apologies. We have been testing our systems with the Associated Press. The numbers you are seeing are not actual results. (Thanks…now notate that ON the page!) We have cleared the numbers. The actual primary results will populate after the polls close on Tuesday, Aug. 2”

Putin Turns The Screws: Gazprom Unexpectedly Halts Another Nord Stream Turbine Cutting Flows In Half; European Gas Prices Soar

Europeans, and especially Germans, breathed a sigh of relief last Thursday when amid fears that Moscow would not restart flows along the Nord Stream 1 pipeline after its 10 day maintenance period, Putin turned the gas back on, if just to its pre-maintenance peak level of about 40% of maximum capacity.

Alas Europe's muted celebration were not meant to last, and with many speculating that Russia was just waiting for the right opportunity to turn the screws on Germany, both literally and metaphorically, that's precisely what happened moments ago when shortly after Siemens finally delivered transport documents for the controversial Nord Stream turbine that had been stuck in Canada for weeks, Gazprom unexpectedly announced it would halt one more Nord Stream turbine at its Portovaya compressor station from July 27, “taking into account the technical conditions of the engine,” the Russian company says in a statement.

Woman fires gun into ceiling at Dallas Love Field airport and is shot by police officer

The woman was taken to the hospital following the 10:59 a.m. gunfire.

A woman opened fire at Dallas Love Field on Monday before a responding police shot her, authorities said.

The unidentified 37-year-old had been dropped off at about 10:59 a.m. CDT, went into the terminal and ducked into a restroom near the Southwest Airlines ticket counter, Dallas police Chief Edgardo “Eddie” Garcia told reporters.

She allegedly came out in different clothing, possibly a hoodie, and opened fire.

"She produces a handgun and begins firing," Garcia said. "At this point, we don’t know where exactly the individual was aiming. The most we were seeing now she was aiming at the ceiling." An officer on the scene shot the woman in the "lower extremities" and she was taken to Parkland Hospital, Garcia added.

Max Geron, the police chief of nearby Rockwall, Texas, tweeted that he and his family were at Love Field when the incident unfolded.

"Just got evacuated out of Love Field after an apparent shooting," Geron wrote. "Family is safe. TSA did a great job."

Love Field is the smaller of the Dallas-Fort Worth area's two airports but is a favorite of residents for its convenience, just 10 miles out of downtown Dallas.

Google executive hired as US Deputy National Cyber Director

The fledgling Office of the National Cyber Director of the White House has hired Google executive Camille Stewart Gloster as its deputy national cyber director for technology and ecosystem security, Axios reported on Monday.

Stewart Gloster's work will mainly focus on workforce programs and supply chain security issues, the news outlet said, citing an administration official familiar with the matter.

The office in question was only established last year under the Biden administration as President Joe Biden's principal advisor on cybersecurity policy, strategy, and engagement with industry and international stakeholders.

The Google executive will start her job on August 1 after serving most recently as Google's global head of product security strategy.

Stewart Gloster has White House experience, previously serving as a senior policy adviser at the Department of Homeland Security during the Obama administration.

Google has a long history of controversies surrounding its collection of users' data and storing it without consent.

The Tagansky district court in Moscow fined Google $264,000 in mid-June for repeatedly refusing to localize Russian citizens' personal data.

Google LLC continues to store Russians' personal data in databases in the United States and the European Union, according to the protocol developed by Roskomnadzor under Part 9 of Art. 13.11 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses.

Previously, Google was fined $52 million in July 2021 for refusing to localize Russian citizens' personal data.

Additionally, a recent report alleged that Google Chrome extensions collect data about the user's system such as installed applications, hardware configuration, and performance stats.

Google Chrome extensions not only collect a lot of data about users and their browsing habits but also track online activity and most likely display personalized ads based on the data.

The White House hiring a Google executive amid the controversies the giant tech firm is mired in will likely prompt an uproar from the public, especially since the hire will be in charge of national issues concerning cyberspace.

The US government itself is not free of controversies when it comes to the data of civilians, as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) unveiled in previously unreleased records that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been acquiring location data of its targets from third parties to avert requiring a warrant to pursue a certain person of interest.

The documents show that DHS is not alone in purchasing its way around the US constitution, as agencies such as Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were able to purchase tons of location data without any oversight before using it to track the movements of millions of cellphones within the United States.

Though technically not a violation of the constitution, the practice is incredibly shady.

Obtaining data about communication within the United States from telecommunication providers requires the agency seeking to acquire the data to obtain a warrant, which must be approved by a judge. However, there is no law against buying data from brokers and shady third-party companies that are not subjected to any constraints.

Ghislaine Maxwell can enjoy movies, yoga after transfer to Florida prison

Convicted madam Ghislaine Maxwell has been moved 1,000 miles to a soft, low-security prison in Florida — one where inmates enjoy movies, a running track and even yoga in the yard.

The disgraced socialite, who complained to the UN about human rights abuses during her two years in custody in Brooklyn, was expected to serve her time in the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Danbury, Connecticut — the prison that inspired “Orange Is the New Black.”

However, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to The Post that the 60-year-old madam was instead moved Friday to FCI Tallahassee, a “low-security federal correctional institution” in Florida.

Her release is currently set for July 17, 2037 — a few months before she turns 76.

The transfer is surprising given that sentencing Judge Alison Nathan had been the one to request Maxwell be sent to FCI Danbury, just 55 miles north of the city.

It also puts Maxwell back in Florida, where her since-deceased ex, notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, abused many of his victims.

Her new home will be widely different than the conditions Maxwell alleged suffering in Brooklyn, where she complained about sharing a tiny cell with rats, having maggot-infested meals and being put through torturous treatment by guards.

The federal lockup has just over 820 prisoners, both male and female, according to prison officials.

While she will be woken every morning at 6 a.m., she will get plenty of movement and activities, unlike the solitary confinement she mostly was subject to while held in the Big Apple.

Maxwell — a longtime pal of disgraced UK royal Prince Andrew — will wear a uniform of khaki pants and a matching shirt, or can wear a dress of the same color if she prefers, the prison handbook states.

And after complaining of being barred from having visitors in Brooklyn, she will be free to get weekly visits with up to four adults and eight kids at any one time.

The handbook notes programs of occupational training, with apprenticeships and courses in horticulture and even cosmetology.

The site also has a wide supply of “recreation, leisure and social programs” to “help develop an individual wellness concept” for inmates.

FCC Orders Blocking of Auto Warranty Robocall Scam Campaign

The Cox/Jones/Sumco Panama operation appears to be responsible for making more than eight billion unlawful prerecorded message calls to American consumers since at least 2018. The robocalls include prerecorded marketing messages which encouraged consumers to follow prompts to speak with a “warranty specialist” about extending or reinstating their car warranty.

Memorandum 6751

Memorandum 6751 is a US document dated 8 July 1947 that was declassified in year 2010,[1] and disclosed to the public from the FBI archives.[2] The memorandum acknowledges the existence of alien presence. Former FBI officer John DeSouza, author of The Extra-Dimensionals: True Tales and Concepts of Alien Visitors points to the memorandum as a significant document in ufology.[3]

Analysis

Memorandum 6751 remained classified for sixty-three (63) years until Executive Order 13526[1] which allowed for its declassification and release. The memo may not be a “smoking gun”, but it is significant in that it remained untouched from the disinformation campaigns of Project Grudge, Blue Book or Red Book.

Overview

Memorandum 6751 discloses the presence of supernormal beings from another world "which interpenetrates with our own and is not perceptible to us.[Line 5] The region from which they come...corresponds to the Lokas or Talas. Students of esoteric matters will understand these terms."[Line 8]

Moscow Exchange will stop trading in Yen on Aug 8, cites risks

The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) will suspend the Japanese Yen trading on August 8 due to risks and difficulties in making calculations.

"On August 8, 2022, the Japanese yen trading will be suspended on the Moscow Exchange currency market … From August 8, the Japanese Yen will also not be accepted as collateral for transactions on the markets of the Moscow Exchange. The suspension of operations is due to potential risks and difficulties in making calculations in the Japanese yen," the Moscow Exchange said in a statement.

Japan's currency has been depreciating against the US dollar, reaching a 24-year-low as of last month. At home, the country has also been dealing with soaring price hikes with the unstable economic situation.

Last month, the Japanese yen sold at the lowest price against the US dollar for the first time since 1998, as the United States is battling soaring consumer prices, one of whose repercussions has been a widening monetary policy gap between Japan and the US.

The yen has been in freefall for months, especially in light of the Fed aggressively hiking interest rates to try and mitigate the soaring inflation. The current financial situation is expected to maintain its momentum through the coming period as the US grapples with several issues, including the sanctions on Russia that have been causing supply cuts, surging gas prices, and rising food prices.

The Bank of Japan said it would adhere to its long-standing monetary easing program, which it hopes would lead to stable growth, a step that goes against what the Fed is doing at home.

The contradicting policies have given the USD a lot more ground against the Japanese currency, with the former buying 135.19 yen. This beats the former record of 126 yen on the dollar, which was the Japanese currency's lowest since 2002.

This high rate has not been seen since the 1998 Asian currency crisis, and it marks a dramatic drop from the record-high January rates of around 115 yen per USD.

Really long article, I'll post a few sections, not all, but a very good read with lots of subjects to dig on.

Servant of the Corrupt

July 22, 2022 Part 1

In February 2021, by order of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine shut down three domestic television channels, accusing them of spreading Russian “propaganda.” Three months later, Zelenksky arrested Viktor Medvedchuk, who was at the time leading the second-biggest party in Ukraine’s national parliament, the pro-Russia and Eurosceptic Opposition Platform for Life (OPZZh).

Zelensky didn’t have trouble incinerating vaunted democratic norms well-before Russia crossed the Rubicon into Ukraine this year. So it was no surprise when he did it again amid the war in late March, invoking emergency powers under martial law to nationalize TV channels and ban 11 opposition parties, including OPZZh — all supposedly done in the name of combatting Russian misinformation and Russian sympathizers, even though OPZZh’s then-chairman, Yuriy Boyko, denounced the war and called for a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.

Zelensky, however, wouldn’t miss another opportunity to clip the wings of political opposition in his country, certainly not now that Western media rationalizes and glorifies his every move.

The portrait of the Ukraine president as a democratic paragon whitewashes the real Zelensky and conceals a vast web of corruption and international skullduggery of which Ukraine is situated in the center. Understanding the real Zelensky, requires seeing him as a creation of Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky. He is, in truth, apuppet of intrigue.

The Pandora Papers

It might be hard to believe now, but revelations from documents in the Pandora Papers — millions of files from offshore service providers leaked to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and shared with partners around the world — sent Zelensky reeling last year, threatening to end his political career.

Though the actor-turned-politico campaigned as an anti-corruption reformer, the Pandora Papers showed him to be just as crooked as his predecessors.

Of more than 300 politicians and public officials, including several current and former national leaders, in more than 91 countries and territories to whom the documents were linked,Ukraine was home to more secret offshore holdings than any other, including Russia.

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which contributed to the investigation, found that just before Zelensky was elected president, “he gifted his stake in a key offshore company, the British Virgin Islands-registeredMaltex Multicapital Corp., to his business partner — soon to be his top presidential aide. And in spite of giving up his shares, the documents show that an arrangement was soon made that would allow the offshore to keep paying dividends to a company that now belongs to his wife.”

As it was with crackdowns on free speech and political opposition, Zelensky’s office attempted to justify the use of offshores by blaming the specter of Russian aggression. An adviser to Zelensky’s chief of staff said the offshores were necessary to “protect” the group’s incomes against the “aggressive actions” of the “corrupt” regime of former President Viktor Yanukovych, who was ousted in a U.S.-backed color revolution in 2014.

The expensive properties acquired by Zelensky associates in the center of London with the offshores, it seems, were but humble havens for persecuted Ukrainians.

It was true that Zelensky and his partners in a television production company,Kvartal 95, set up a network of offshore firms dating back to at least 2012. That was also the year the company began producing regular content for TV stations owned by Kolomoisky, Ukraine’s most flamboyant oligarch and Zelensky’s key backer.

The Raider

Kolomoisky is known to have intimidated guests by feeding a live shark he kept in a huge aquarium at his Dnipropetrovsk office and has even reportedly ordered contract killings. If he did not exist, Richard Marcinko would likely have invented him as a villain in one of his Rogue Warrior novels.

Kolomoisky co-founded and was until 2016 the main owner of PrivatBank, Ukraine’s largest commercial bank, as well as PrivatBank Group, a global business coalition whose control extends across thousands of companies in virtually every industry from Ukraine, the European Union, Georgia, Russia, the United States and elsewhere...

He denies having or needing influence over the president, but when the International Monetary Fund ended talks with Zelensky’s government after failing to reach a new lending agreement in 2019 (citing pervasive corruption) Kolomoisky, asked in an interview who would win if Zelensky was forced to choose between him and IMF loans, answered: “I would.” Ukrainian media has noted that Kolomoisky has not denied financing Zelensky’s campaign.

Kolomoisky built his enormous fortune atop PrivatBank primarily as a “raider.” In a 2015 story for Harper’s Magazine about Zelensky’s backer, Andrew Cockburn colored in the meaning of that term with the help of Matthew Rojansky, director of the Kennan Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars.

There are firms in Ukraine “registered with offices and business cards, firms [that specialize in] various dimensions of the corporate raiding process, which includes armed guys to do stuff, forging documents, bribing notaries, bribing judges,” Rojansky told Cockburn. And according to Rojansky, Kolomoisky is “the most famous oligarch-raider, accused of having conducted a massive raiding campaign over the roughly ten years up to 2010.” At some point, he managed to end up on the United States’ visa ban list, prohibiting him from entering the country.

But the interests of the oligarch go well-beyond cutthroat business dealings, overlapping with Washington’s affairs in the region. Between 2013 and 2014, the U.S. backed a color revolution in Ukraine that resulted in regime change. It also triggered a civil war between government forces and pro-Russian separatists in the eastern part of the country who declared independence from Kiev.

Amid this crisis, acting President Oleksandr Turchynov appointed Kolomoisky governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. He turned his workforce into a private army to combat the separatists. Yet even as Kolomoisky morphed into a warlord, he did not neglect his business empire.

Washington-Approved Oligarch

In 2014, the IMF approved emergency aid to Ukraine and injected billions into the National Bank of Ukraine — the country’s central bank — to support local commercial banks.

Through a globe-spanning scheme involving PrivatBank accounts and PrivatBank Group companies and a corrupt Ukrainian court system, Kolomoisky looted billions in IMF aid. The con, as revealed in a series of court judgments, was outlined as follows by Cockburn:

Forty-two Ukrainian firms owned by 54 offshore entitiesregistered in Caribbean, American and Cypriot jurisdictions and linked to or affiliated with the Privat group of companies, took out loans from PrivatBank in Ukraine to the value of $1.8 billion. The firms then ordered goods from six foreign “supplier” companies, three of which were incorporated in the United Kingdom, two in the British Virgin Islands, one in the Caribbean statelet of St. Kitts & Nevis.

Payment for the orders — $1.8 billion — was shortly afterwards prepaid into the vendors’ accounts, which were, coincidentally, in the Cyprus branch of PrivatBank. Once the money was sent, the Ukrainian importing companies arranged with PrivatBank Ukraine that their loans be guaranteed by the goods on order.

But the foreign suppliers invariably reported that they could not fulfill the order after all, thus breaking the contracts, but without any effort to return the money.

Finally, the Ukrainian companies filed suit, always in the Dnipropetrovsk Economic Court, demanding that the foreign supplier return the prepayment and also that the guarantee to PrivatBank be cancelled. In 42 out of 42 such cases the court issued the identical judgment: the advance payment should be returned to the Ukrainian company, but the loan agreement should remain in force.”

During this period, Kolomoisky kept his portfolio of activities diverse. Twenty fourteen was also the year when then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, reportedly joined the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company to which Kolomoisky has been connected with a controlling interest, according to The New York Post....

Emails obtained by the Post revealed that Vadym Pozharskyi, a Kolomoisky protégé, communicated with Hunter in 2015 about a meeting between Pozharskyi and then-Vice President Biden. Further, bank records of Hunter (lawfully obtained according to D&A Investigations) show payments made to him by PrivatBank.

By 2015, Kolomoisky was onto his next controversy, the one that would ultimately lead to Zelensky’s rise. In March of that year, Kolomoisky’s men physically seized control ofUkrnafta, the largest oil and gas producer in the country, and UkrTransNafta, which controls virtually all oil pipelines in Ukraine.

This was Kolomoisky’s way of showing his disapproval of the government’s timid reform efforts, which posed a direct threat to then-President Petro Poroshenko’s power.

Poroshenko thus turned to Washington for help — namely, then-Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt, who was U.S. ambassador to Ukraine at the time.

Nuland is an interventionist married to arch-neoconservative Robert Kagan. She’s been called “the architect of American influence in Ukraine,” was instrumental in regime change and has served in every presidential administration except Trump’s since Bill Clinton’s days. People like Nuland are why presidents come and go, but interventionist foreign policy always remains.

With D.C.’s help, in exchange for Kolomoisky backing down in April 2015, Poroshenko successfully had the oligarch removed from a years-long, U.S. visa ban two weeks later. Importantly, Pyatt and Nuland looked the other way on Kolomoisky’s IMF scheme, even as Washington persecuted other oligarchs.

Meanwhile, at the same time that it ignored Kolomoisky’s corruption, the State Department attempted to extradite Ukrainian oligarch Dmitry Firtash for a bribery incident that allegedly took place in India. However, his real crime was holding ties to the government Nuland had a role in toppling as well as his association with deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

When Firtash appealed against his extradition, a European judge agreed and concluded that “America obviously saw Firtash as somebody who was threatening their economic interests.” Nevertheless, Washington has a long memory and Firtash may end up standing trial in the U.S after all.

Even as he was removed from the U.S. banned list, Kolomoisky allegedly continued to embezzle and defraud PrivatBank of huge sums. Some of his schemes spilled over onto American soil.

According to the Justice Department, from approximately 2008 through 2016, Kolomoisky obtained fraudulent loans and lines of credit as part of a massive scheme totaling at least $5.5 billion, i.e. roughly equal to 5 percent of Ukraine’s gross domestic product at the time.

In the U.S., millions of those dollars were allegedly laundered through commercial real estate purchases from Ohio to Kentucky and Texas. Furthermore, Zelensky’s benefactor allegedly purchased a dozen steel mills in small towns across America, leaving in his wake bankrupt factories, unpaid taxes, rotting buildings and hundreds of steelworkers out of jobs.

By nationalizing PrivatBank in 2016, Ukraine effectively put the burden of a multi-billion dollar bailout on the shoulders of taxpayers.

Servant of the People

Kolomoisky would have his revenge for what happened in his domain. The confrontation with Poroshenko, which was seen as humiliating for the oligarch, concluded in March 2015.

By October, the first episode of a new show, Servant of the People aired on Ukraine’s 1+1 channel, in which Zelensky played the leading role: a high-school history teacher who unexpectedly becomes president of Ukraine and is committed to fighting government corruption. 1+1 is owned by the 1+1 Media Group, one of the largest Ukrainian media conglomerates, whose owner, according to the Atlantic Council, is none other than Kolomoiskyhimself, giving him “significant political influence in today’s Ukraine. His media assets were used to promote the 2019 presidential election campaign of President Zelenskyy, whose hit shows previously aired on Kolomoisky’s network.”

The Servant of the People series itself was produced by Kvartal 95, the company founded by Zelensky, whose partners were implicated in a network of offshores by the Pandora Papers. After Zelensky’s ascension, key figures of Kvartal 95 joined Zelensky’s administration.

Ivan Hennadiyovych Bakanov, for example, went from head of the production studio to the leader of the Security Service of Ukraine under Zelensky. The show literally created Zelensky’s presidential persona, effectively allowing him to build an unofficial campaign against the incumbent administration until March 2018, when a political party named after the television series was registered with the Ministry of Justice.

Part 4

In December 2018, Zelensky officially announced his presidential candidacy on 1+1. Zelensky, the creation of an oligarch, campaigned for president as the character he played in a comedy series with a party named after the show to victory in 2019.

During the race, Volodymyr Ariev, a political ally of incumbent President Poroshenko, posted a chart on Facebook claiming it showed how Zelensky and his television production partners were beneficiaries of a constellation of offshore firms which allegedly received millions from Kolomoisky’s PrivatBank.

The allegations were dismissed as baseless at the time, but the Pandora Papers revealed that information on several companies in the network corresponded with Ariev’s chart, the OCCRP noted. Shortly after taking the reins, Zelensky and his Servant of the People party began firing, supposedly for inefficiency, Ukrainian ministers with reputations as anti-corruption reformers.

Daria Kaleniuk, head of Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Action Center, told The Washington Post in March 2020 that the affair sent the message that Zelensky “can fire a person who takes a risk, for doing the right things, and blame this person for inefficiency.”

Kiev-based reform reporter Oleg Sukhov echoed the sentiment last year, writing that “Zelensky has consistently protected corrupt officials from prosecution and killed anti-corruption reforms.” On the other hand, when faced with a petition calling for his dismissal, Zelensky refused to fire Oleh Tatarov, his deputy chief of staff, who had been charged with bribery.

The people put on the chopping block were also the ones most likely to threaten the power of oligarchs like Kolomoisky, from whom Zelensky may have learned a thing or two.

In a 2020 press conference, he remarked that he wanted to be “remembered as the president who built good roads in Ukraine.”

One of the handful of construction companies that have received a significant share of state funds for building public roads during his tenure is PBS LLC, which is linked to Skorzonera LLC, a company co-owned by Kolomoisky, according to corporate records.

PBS has been accused by Ukrainian investigators of misappropriating millions in state funds for road work. A ruling by a court in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast noted that together with the Kolomoisky-controlled Skorzonera it is connected as part of a web of related business entities with overlapping addresses and personnel. PBS and Skorzonera had even sent their tax declarations from the same IP address.

Notably, former Customs Minister Maxim Nefyodov was one of the reformers fired by Zelensky. Nefyodov is most well-known for having created ProZorro, a system designed to tackle corruption in Ukraine’s public procurement sector.

After dismissing Nefyodov, Zelensky’s party used its majority to pass legislation that would allow the most expensive road construction project in modern Ukrainian historyto be built with zero oversight, ProZorro exempt.

Last June, the Kyiv Post reported how Zelensky “has doubled spending on road repairs, reaching into the pocket of the COVID relief fund and spending money Ukraine has won in international courts.” An interesting source of cash, considering that the IMF approved a multi-billion dollar aid package in 2020 “to help Ukraine to cope with COVID-19 pandemic challenges by providing balance of payments and budget support.”

Is it possible that Zelensky has taken a page out of Kolomoisky’s book by taking liberties with international aid? It’s hard to say for certain. Also unclear, is why the State Department decided to once again sanction Kolomoisky last March after he was taken off the bad list despite his own international scheming. In a press statement, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the reason was “due to his involvement in significant corruption.” But they were aware of that when they put him on and took him off the list the first time.

Stranger still, Blinken specifically cited the years 2014 to 2015, when Kolomoisky “was involved in corrupt acts that undermined rule of law and the Ukrainian public’s faith in their government’s democratic institutions and public processes, including using his political influence and official power for his personal benefit.”

Again, this is not a revelation, considering that Nuland played a role in getting Kolomoisky off the list the first time during that period, back when Blinken served as deputy national security advisor under Obama. Blinken didn’t even mention Kolomoisky’s alleged plundering in America.

Puppet of Intrigue

In 2019, just after Zelensky won his election, Kolomoisky signaled that he was prepared to pour oil over troubled waters and make peace with Russia. The civil war in eastern Ukraine has so far claimed more than 14,000 lives.

The oligarch said it was enough: “They’re stronger anyway. We have to improve our relations,” he said about Russia and Ukraine according to The New York Times.

But he also saw an obstacle: “People want peace, a good life, they don’t want to be at war. And you [Washington] are forcing us to be at war, and not even giving us the money for it.”

Did the U.S. sanction Zelensky’s patron, the way it did Firtash, to nudge him in the right direction?

The Big Lie

The war has completely reinvented Zelensky, thus saving his scandal-plagued presidency marked by broken promises. As a Kyiv International Institute of Sociology poll showed, just 24 percent of voters supported him in late January. But now, thanks to the West’s embracement of the actor’s new persona which often places him beyond reproach, Zelensky has become the recipient of unqualified adoration and enormous amounts of international aid money.

“Before the war the U.S. was sending $300 million per year to Ukraine,” Mark Cancian, a senior adviser at the Center for International and Strategic Studies, told NPR. Now,we’re providing $100 million a day to what was until recently considered “the most corrupt nation in Europe.“

As of today, the United States government alone is on track to deliver more than $50 billion in total aid to Ukraine. For comparison, the Department of Homeland Security estimated that Trump’s proposed border wall would cost roughly $21.6 billion.

Republicans in particular, spent the first two years of Trump’s term resisting his efforts to fund and build the wall, before reluctantly agreeing to support just a fraction of what they approved for Ukraine at the drop of a hat, even challenging the patriotism of their critics.

What is the likelihood that those billions in international aid will vanish into well-connected pockets?

No one is asking these or any other important questions. Just as no one asked if it was odd when Zelensky stated that Russia would have to “kill all residents” in Ukraine’s capital to take it and get to him. That, seems the high price that the ‘servant of the people’ is willing to let Ukrainians pay; and one that Washington is happy to let Americans subsidize.

(remember with POTUS was saying how much corruption was in Ukraine and Zelensky starts squirming in the chair...good times!)

Iraqi army general: Turkish mobilization taking place at the borders

Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army Abdel Emir Yarallah announced that Turkish mobilization is taking place on the country's borders.

During his speech in a special session held by the House of Representatives which was held last Saturday, Yarallah said that there was a memo brought to him demanding not to mention the number of Turkish forces present in Iraq. The session came in light of the recent bombing of Duhok, in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.

He said, "I will speak frankly in front of the people's representatives. There are five main bases in northern Iraq for the Turkish forces," explaining that the "bases include more than 4,000 Turkish fighters."

He pointed out that the number of military positions for the Turkish army in 2021 was 40; at the beginning of 2022 they were 90, and today there are 100 military positions inside Iraqi territory, not far distant from Zakho, Amadiya, and Duhok.

Yarallah renewed calls to "send forces from the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga to these areas to take back lands so that there is not a chance that the Turks advance or deploy artillery, thus inflicting losses on the citizens."

He continued to reveal: "There are more or less than 376 kilometers separating us from Turkey within the borders of the Kurdistan region, which means that we, as the Ministry of Defense, do not have the authority, and none of our soldiers are present in this area," adding, "Even if we want to go, we must take official authorization."

According to the Iraqi military official, the federal forces are not present in the Kurdistan region - except for border patrol guards, and they are warning forces, rather than combat forces, and thus cannot protect themselves.

He said, "There is always a situation in wars when the combat forces take the place of the border guards, particularly when the enemy forces attack the country."

The statements of the Iraqi military official come in the wake of the Turkish bombing of a tourist resort in the northern Iraqi province of Duhok, which killed six tourists.

On Sunday, the Iraqi government sent a letter to the United Nations Security Council saying that Baghdad documented more than 22,740 violations committed by the Turkish armed forces.

"Turkey has expansionist goals behind the aggressions it is committing, and there will be no security nor military accord with Ankara," the Iraqi foreign ministry said. "Baghdad's letter included a demand for an apology from the Turkish side to Iraq and its people."

"Baghdad expects the United Nations Security Council to issue a statement denouncing the Turkish violation of Iraq's sovereignty," the foreign ministry's statement said.

On Saturday, the Iraqi parliament discussed in an emergency session the Turkish attacks on northern Iraq.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq movement in Iraq, Sheikh Qais Khazali, called on parliament to issue a resolution obligating the government to remove Turkish forces from Iraq, considering that the ongoing Turkish attacks call for a unified and firm stance.

Ukraine Uses Russian Invasion to Wreck Workers’ Rights

July 20, 2022

Two new radical measures are prompting fears of Ukrainians losing workplace rights permanently as the war puts huge pressure on the country’s economy, Thomas Rowley and Serhiy Guz report.

The Ukrainian parliament has passed two new radical measures on labour liberalisation, prompting fears of Ukrainians losing workplace rights permanently as Russia’s war puts huge pressure on the country’s economy.

In two laws passed on Monday and Tuesday, MPs votedto legalise “zero-hours contracts” and made moves towards removing up to 70 percent of the country’s workforce from protections guaranteed by national labour law.

The latter measure means the national labour code no longer applies to employees of small- and medium-sized enterprises; instead, it is proposed that each worker strikes an individual labour agreement with their employer. It also removes the legal authority of trade unions to veto workplace dismissals.

Draft law 5371 had previously been criticised by the International Labor Organization, as well as Ukrainian and European trade unions, on the basis that it could “infringe international labour standards.”

Ukraine’s ruling Servant of the People party argued that the “extreme over-regulation of employment contradicts the principles of market self-regulation [and] modern personnel management.”

Red tape in Ukraine’s HR laws, it suggested, “creates bureaucratic barriers both for the self-realisation of employees and for raising the competitiveness of employers.”

The Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine will now ask President Volodymyr Zelensky to veto draft law 5371 when it goes to him for signature — but will not make the same request over the proposed law on zero-hours contracts, Ukrainian MP Vadym Ivchenko told openDemocracy.

Nataliia Lomonosova, an analyst at Ukrainian think tank Cedos, warned that the two laws could further deteriorate an already difficult socio-economic situation for Ukrainians suffering from Russia’s military campaign.

According to the U.N.’s latest numbers, Russia’s invasion has led to at least 7 million people becoming displaced inside Ukraine itself, which has been compounded by a severe economic crisis hitting families and individuals hard. At the same time, the World Bank has predicted that Ukraine’s economy will contract by 45 percent this year.

With these factors in mind, Lomonosova argued that Ukrainians have little choice or bargaining power when it comes to employers — the number of available vacancies is vastly disproportionate to the number of people now looking for work in the country. “People right now have no bargaining power, and trade unions cannot protect them,” she said.

Speaking to openDemocracy, Lomonosova expressed a fear that, as a result of the displacement, “many people will find themselves in the situation of Ukrainian migrant workers” in their own country — meaning, for instance, people will have little choice but to accept poor conditions and to be ever more dependent on their employers…

Zero-Hours Contracts

Under Ukraine’s new zero-hours legislation, employers who choose to use the contract option will be able to call up workers at will, though contracts must define the method and minimum timeframe for informing an employee of work, and the response time of the worker to agree or refuse to work.

The legislation also says people employed on these new contracts must be guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours’ work a month, and that the percentage of employees on zero-hours contracts at company can’t be more than 10 percent.

In its explanation of the law, the Ukrainian government stated that people involved in irregular work are currently employed “without any social or labour guarantees.”...

Murkowski tests positive for COVID-19

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) is quarantining at her home in Alaska after testing positive for COVID-19.

“After experiencing flu like symptoms I recently tested positive for COVID-19. I will be following guidance and advice from doctors and will be quarantining at home in Alaska while continuing my work remotely,” Murkowski said on Twitter on Monday.

The Alaska senator had been fully vaccinated and boosted, her office said.

She posted on Twitter about receiving her first dose last year, saying, “Alaska is leading the charge in distribution of #COVID19 vaccinations. I’m proud to have joined my fellow Alaskans in getting vaccinated. There is hope at the end of this long dark tunnel.”

The virus has been circulating in Congress, and Murkowski joins several other lawmakers who’ve tested positive in recent days.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) announced he’d been infected Monday morning, just a few hours before the Alaska senator.

Reps. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) and Sens. Tina Smith (D-Minn.) and Tom Carper (D-Del.) tested positive last week.

President Biden is taking the antiviral pill Paxlovid as he quarantines in the White House after testing positive Thursday. The White House reports that no close contacts of the president have been diagnosed since his test.

WASHINGTON: "DC Health officials will hold a public town hall Monday evening to answer questions about the spread of monkeypox. The District is one of the hotspots in the U.S., with the most monkeypox cases per capita. Just as the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern, D.C. announced they would make more monkeypox vaccinations available. Mayor Muriel Bowser estimates D.C. will need approximately 100,000 vaccines.

D.C. currently has enough vaccinations for 70% of its eligible population to receive one dose of the vaccine. Those eligible includes:

-Gay, bisexual and other men 18 and older who have sex with men and have had multiple sexual partners or any anonymous sexual partners in the last 14 days

-Transgender women or nonbinary persons assigned male at birth who have sex with men

-Sex workers

-Staff at establishments where sexual activity occurs including bathhouses, saunas, sex clubs"

Europol statement on the cooperation with Ukraine

Europol is working closely with Ukrainian officials to mitigate the threat of arms trafficking into the European Union. We have full confidence in them as they implement new measures to monitor and track these firearms.

Europol has benefited from an excellent relationship with Ukraine since our operational agreement was signed in 2017. We continue to be in close contact as the situation on the ground in Ukraine changes, and we are grateful to our Ukrainian colleagues for this. They continue to follow leads and cooperate on cases of interest for EU internal security, in spite of the continued Russian military aggression.

A potential threat observed in war zones in the past is that firearms can fall into the wrong hands. Regarding the war in Ukraine, Europol has warned that the proliferation of firearms and explosives in Ukraine could lead to an increase in firearms and munitions trafficked into the EU via established smuggling routes or online platforms. This threat might even be higher once the conflict has ended.

Today is National Hire a Veteran Day. Before Congress, I ran two businesses in Kansas. I loved hiring my fellow veterans; not only because it was the right thing to do given their sacrifice, but with their work ethic and experience, they were tremendous assets to the business.

An investigator who worked the JonBenet case has said that the parents did not give formal statements on the morning of their daughter’s death, and that they stonewalled police for months after that.

Investigators have said they found undigested pineapple in JonBenet’s stomach, but Patsy at the time denied having fed it to her child and it’s still unclear who gave it to her.

In 1999, a grand jury voted to indict both Ramsey parents for the crime. But the district attorney declined to sign the indictment, citing thin evidence, and instead said no further court action would be taken. That decision only came to light in 2013.

99% certain the JonBenet Ramsey murder is directly related to mormons

Her grandfather approved the airstrip on North Fox Island (OG pedo island)

James Dudley Ramsey, director of the MI aeronautics commission

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/97428963/james-dudley-ramsey

North Fox Island is directly southwest of Beaver Island, which relates to the Strangites (also mormons)

Beaver Island relates to John C Bennett, a mormon with Jonbenet's father's name

https://web.archive.org/web/20070929122436/http://www.americanheritage.com/articles/magazine/ah/1970/4/1970_4_4.shtml

The Ramseys' summer home was in Charlevoix MI

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/jonbenet-ramsey-remembered-by-michigan-town-20-years-after-her-murder/

North Fox Island circled in red in comparison with Beaver Island and Charlevoix

John Bennett Ramsey, Jonbenet's father, was also involved with Natalie Holloway's mom

https://www.foxnews.com/story/john-ramsey-and-beth-holloway-twitty-are-dating

Natalie went missing in Aruba, killed by Joran Van der Sloot

That's a weird coincidence, considering that mormon Frank VanderSloot was one of the biggest contributors to Mitt Romney's campaign

Originally posted at >>>/qresearch/16809760 (251944ZJUL22) Notable: Judge Robert McBurney on Monday barred Willis from building a case against Burt Jones

A judge in Fulton County, Ga., has granted a motion by a GOP candidate for lieutenant governor to disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis from targeting him in her criminal probe into former President Donald Trump and allies' efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Judge Robert McBurney on Monday barred Willis from building a case against Burt Jones, a state senator running for lieutenant governor of Georgia, after the district attorney hosted a fundraiser backing Democratic candidate Charlie Bailey in his runoff race against another Democratic challenger who ultimately lost, Kwanza Hall.

McBurney said it was “harmful” to the integrity of the investigation that Willis had taken part in the fundraiser.

“Any decision the district attorney makes about Senator Jones in connection with the grand jury investigation is necessarily infected by it,” the judge wrote, adding that any effort to focus specifically on Jones in the investigation, even if justified, would prompt “entirely reasonable concerns of politically motivated persecution.”

Willis' interest in Jones stems from the efforts of some state Republicans after the 2020 election to create an alternate slate of 16 presidential electors even after an official vote count showed Trump had lost by thousands of votes. Jones is one of the “fake electors” named as a target in the investigation.

The judge noted that an additional decision by Willis to donate privately to Bailey’s campaign was not disqualifying in itself, as Jones' counsel had argued, but said the move had “added to the weight of the conflict created by the more extensive, direct, public and job-related campaign work the district attorney performed on behalf of candidate Bailey.”
