Energy Crisis May Unleash Winter Blackouts Across US, Insider Warns

The energy crisis that is rippling through Asia and Europe could unleash electricity shortages and blackouts in the U.S., according to Bloomberg.

Ernie Thrasher, CEO of Xcoal Energy & Resources LLC., told energy research firm IHS Markit that U.S. utilities quickly turn to more coal because of soaring natural gas prices.

"We've actually had discussions with power utilities who are concerned that they simply will have to implement blackouts this winter," Thrasher warned.

He said, "They don't see where the fuel is coming from to meet demand," adding that 23% of utilities are switching away from gas this fall/winter to burn more coal.

With natgas, coal, and oil prices all soaring is a clear signal the green energy transition will take decades, not years. Walking back fossil fuels for unreliable clean energy has been a disaster in Asia and Europe. These power-hungry continents are scrambling for fossil fuel supplies as stockpiles are well below seasonal trends ahead of cooler weather.

A similar story is playing out in the U.S., where increased demand for coal might not be reached by mining companies. We noted Thursday morning that boosting output might be challenging due to years of decommissioning mines to reduce carbon emissions and transition the economy from fossil fuels to green energy. There's also been a steady decline of miners over the last three and a half decades.

The COVID Purge Begins: UCLA Med Center Doctor Escorted Out by Security for Refusing Shot

“This is what happens when you stand up for freedom.”

“This” was being summarily fired, escorted, and deposited from the premises like so much refuse by security guards at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Health.

That’s the Westwood hospital where Dr. Christopher B. Rake worked until Tuesday as an anesthesiologist.

It’s unclear what Dr. Rake is now. Is he fired? On unpaid leave? What’s clear is that the anesthesiologist can’t go to work. All because he refused a forced medical procedure — a shot — that he didn’t want, didn’t think was right, and didn’t believe he needed. The mandate was imposed on him by bureaucrats who know less about medicine than he does.

He was “escorted” from the hospital by three security guards, one of whom warned him, “don’t come near me,” as Rake recorded his own ouster.

Rake may be starting a new, unwanted career as the face of anti-COVID-mandate Americans – perhaps millions of them – who will lose or already have lost their jobs, careers, and livelihoods because of Joe Biden’s and Democrat governors’ orders to get shot up or lose everything.

Dr. Rake said he knew the cost and was willing to pay it – for freedom.

This is what happens when you stand up for freedom and when you show up to work, willing to work, despite being unvaccinated, and this is the price you have to pay sometimes. But what they don’t realize is that I’m willing to lose everything — job, paycheck, freedom, even my life for this cause.

It could be a tragic end to a career at one of the California’s premier medical facilities.

UCLA issued a statement following Rake’s ouster saying, “Per the state public health order and University of California policy, active UCLA Health employees not working remotely must be vaccinated or receive an exemption. Those out of compliance are subject to progressive discipline including access denied to worksites and being placed on leave.”

The “progressive discipline” double entendre certainly has an interesting ring to it, no?

Mark Levin Shares Evidence of Biden Administration Colluding to Silence America's Parents

“The federal government is using its power to silence and intimidate American citizens,” said conservative talk radio host and author Mark Levin, who released a bombshell letter on his program Thursday. “They’re trying to chill free speech.”

The letter, from the nonprofit organization America First Legal (AFL) to the United States Inspector General claims, “In light of the Attorney General’s Memorandum of October 4, 2021, it appears the Department of Justice is committing the full weight of its federal law enforcement resources to prevent parents from exercising constitutionally-protected rights and privileges, for inappropriate partisan purposes.”

The AFL says it’s an inside job by “key Biden Administration stakeholders, including the National Education Association, the American Federation of Teachers, and others, have combined to oppress, threaten, and intimidate parents to chill and prevent them from exercising the rights or privileges secured by the Constitution. To date these efforts, though extensive, have generally proven ineffectual.”

And it wasn’t just any insiders. AFL believes high-ranking officials in the Biden White House staff and the Department of Justice (DOJ) have been meeting since early September to collude in the writing of not only Attorney General Garland’s memorandum but to “develop a plan to use a letter from an outside group as pretext for federal action to chill, deter, and discourage parents from exercising their constitutional rights and privileges.”

In other words, AFL says the Biden administration was in on the unconstitutional effort to mitigate the “political impact of parent mobilization [at school board meetings] and organization around school issues [like CRT and mask mandates] in the upcoming midterm elections” all along. And who was that “outside group”? The good old National School Board Association (NSBA). Remember them and their September 29 letter calling America’s concerned parents “domestic terrorists”? I wrote about them here.
