Hello everyone, it's my first time visiting the photography board on 8chan, and I come seeking help.

I've been a photography student in my school for a few years, and I'm now at a point where I must make a senior project to demonstrate what I've learned and my ability to schedule my own work.

I am planning on making a photography book, however, I lack a subject. I live in the metro Detroit area of Michigan, and I was wondering if you folks would be willing to discuss some possibilities for my book with me.

I am nowhere near Michigan (outside the US actually).

However, my advice is: try to pick up a subject which you can describe in photos, not necessary the one which appeals to you.

Consider travelling to some neighbourhood to light up your imagination and see something new.

What are some of your favorite things to photograph OP?

I'd focus on the life of the auto industry in Detroit by photographing the area associated with car production. That way you can have a mix of functioning and dead architecture, because I like to make photos of urban landscapes. But that's just me, what interests you OP?

Sorry to take advantage of your thread OP, but talking about books, does anyone know of any highly recommended books on photography I could read to get better at it?
