Interestingly though, the colour scheme and the amount of sunlit sand does exactly opposite effect one me, I find the photo very comfy and quiet, it's like a huge sand clock scatters dust from somewhere and the glass lets the sunshine in.

Even more: the rooms do not show any sign of human presence which could put accent on that these rooms were used by human some time ago.
Those rooms are aging slowly and it does not look like it is painful for anybody.
