Has there been autopsies on the dead yet?

Did most die from freezing or from being mangled?

Frankly I don't see the point. The Sherpas have casually strolled up there a million times already, it's not as if anyone is breaking new ground by going there.

>I CLIMBED MOUNT EVEREST!

That's the point. Your average person doesn't completely understand what that actually means.

It means several progressive climbs, then a suicidal dash to the summit, hang out on top for like ten minutes then race back down before you fucking die.

It's also a logistical nightmare and the poor fucks that volunteer/funded to play doctor watch people die all the time for being reckless. There's simply way too many fucking people up there and they spend the majority of their time not climbing to the top

I see what you're saying but I disagree with this sort of complaint. Of course you're not breaking new ground in a global sense, but as a personal challenge, it's still a pretty tough mountain and I can see how it would be a challenge/achievement you would look forward to in your own climbing career.

For instance, most weightlifters never even come close to the world records, but there's still significance in beating your own personal record. But that is a very personal experience, since only you are there to appreciate the many crucial variables, so beating a PR isn't something you can really brag about to others since who knows if you're lying or "cheated". Unless you actually enter a standardized competition, that is. Sounds like a lot of rich Everest climbers do "cheat" in many ways though.

Also Jesus Christ the camp in that video is fucking crowded. Looks like they've streamlined the hell out of it.
