cant decide on my first speargun.

>I've been using polespear for a while but want a gun now.

>dont know if I should go with pneumatic or band.
I'll definitely need a short length as most of my fishing is in reef.
>would like something of decent quality that I can grow into, attach a reel to and expand my fishing game.
>I'm only freediving for now but wouldnt rule out scuba in future.>
I fish off the beach and boat.

also any reasoned brand loyalties can be stated here.

seac, mares and cressi have a decent reputation and a wide selection of spear guns.

the latter two sponsor a lot of the top spear fishers and free divers around.

as for spearguns I can't recommend anything because I don't use them

I decided to go for a pneumatic I gun because of the power in a short barrel.
settled on the cressi saetta 70cm (pic).

I have a few pieces of cressi gear that are really good at what they do and of good quality.
I got one with a low pressure setting for the up close reef stuff.

hopefully it will serve me well and for a while

finaly picked up the gun
can't wait to get in the water and try it out.

weather has been crappy lately and it looks like it's going to be more than a week before we get any decent visibility.

I guess I'll study size limits in the meantime
