Mine was 11 weeks in the high desert. I used primitive fire-making techniques (bow drill: sage spindles, juniper root board + hand drill: yucca spindle, sage board). I slept under a tarp, and spent most of my time woodcarving. I brought food and water in via truck. It was very comfy.
We did some hikes around the desert and up the surrounding peaks, but obviously couldn't pack all of our food and water around so hiking was limited.

3 years homeless, lived outta one of those swiss rubberized packs, the straps sucked so i duct taped jansport straps under the orig ones. Housed up for 6 mos. 2 more years homeless, lived outta large ALICE.
