I've got about 6k saved up and was wondering If I should bail on my life and setup shop innawoods. I am only considering this because all the recent happenings in the states, I have a bad feeling its going to go full Turner Diaries within the next decade with all the civil liberties slowly getting stript away. Im asking weather or not this is a good choice or not, I already have knowledge in my local woodland area but never attempted a lifelong retreat.

Try some longer /out/ excursions first. What is the longest you've been alone innawoods? How old are you? What skills do you have and lack that would allow you to live that way?

I've only camped for 3-4 days max. Im great with a bow, and decent with rifles. I guess that running out of food or getting injured would be the biggest issue because I know how to make shelter/fire/gain resources.

take small steps, no need to rush.
6k is nothing aim at 50k and in the meantime try to reduce how you depend on society
for example spend one night a week innawoods, then gradually increase

Are you out of your mind boy? Unless you're gonna have steady income while "innawoods", you'll crawl back home dead broke in a year tops. Much earlier, and with significant debt, if you have a major emergency (injury or car breakdown).
Anyway, if you need to ask even such basic questions on here, what will you do when you do bug out? Hope your phone gets reception?
