He's been working on it for like 18 fucking months. The only reason anyone gives a shit is because, out of all the thousands and thousands of "in my fanwork Asriel gets saved!" bandwagoners, his randomly became the most popular. Nobody knows the reason. Like asking why Justin Bieber became popular despite there being twenty million practically identical little boys that are even better singers floating around the internet.

I don't think his other work is particularly great, but I've been following his progress and talked to him a few times and his fangame seems like it's going to be legitimately good. Solid, interesting character design. And the engine is written by someone who knows his shit.
