That… actually sounds like a potentially sweet/awesome story.
He's in a coma, and while he cannot awaken from it right away, he's in lucid dream territory in this regard (i.e. knows he's in a coma and that all he sees is but a dream) and then learns that he can still affect the outside/real world with the help of this "Nightmare" monstergirl (Who, in a very good way, subverts expectations by being quite literally the perfect waifu for him).
In the end, a scientific/metaphysical/magical/etc… breakthrough regarding the nature of consciousness/comas is made, he wakes up in the arms of his Nightmare lover/wife, and they both go on to live happily ever after. It was a long and hard road, but in the end they both truly earned their happy ending.
Sounds like a good story to me folks.

Recently signed a contract with my demon classmate, although I'm not quite sure what that means at all, I just kind of rolled with it thinking it was a game.
For all I know, she's been bringing me homemade food during lunchtime, so maybe she's just practicing her cooking and I'm the taster. She must feel very proud of her skills, since she really seemed depressed that one time I gave her a negative review. Every single lunch after that one has been better than the last one, but she looks like she's getting less and less sleep as time goes on. I thought that maybe she needs some rest from this contract thing and asked her if we could take some time from doing this. She cried like a baby. I didn't know what to do to calm her down, and she ran away before I could do anything.
The next day she seemed very upset and avoided me everytime I tried approaching her. She really must be proud of her cooking skills. I had an idea.
After class, I reached to her with a new contract: I would go to her place everyday and would help her cook next day's lunch. She blushed hard and gladly accepted the new terms.
And so, everyday, after class, I'd go to her house and make sure she has time enough for sleeping. I'd help her finish our lunch and then go back home, although, for some reason, she always seem like she wants me to stay and sometimes gives me a kiss goodbye on the cheek. Do demons normally do that to say goodbye? I wonder.
I'm happy she can now sleep properly and also cook, and I think having me as company makes her happy too. I really like helping her out; going to her place everyday is always a daily highlight.

Damn. I finally got around to reading it, and that was one hell of a read. Everything in my mind clicked as each question was answered. The bad ending for Trent/Thompson left me slack-jawed (in a good way) and kind of sad, since Penny was dedicated to finding an antidote for him so they can be together. And who knew a holstaur can be seen as intimidating. Once again, a fantastic read, especially with some noir jazz playing in the background. Now I want more stories similar to it.

The monster with me
I'm still not exactly sure where she came from, or what she wants. …or even if it is a 'she'.
She seems to enjoy taking the form of females, in any case. Young, old, any body type or race. I'm guessing its just an after effect of whoever she's eaten that night.
She doesn't speak much, which is fine by me. I think she's still getting a grasp of mimicking human speech, trying to parrot what I say, though it still sends a fucking chill down my spine hearing all those voices coming out of her at once. She seems to understand me well enough when I speak to her though, so theres still hope. She learns very, very fast. When the first batch of cops came to my door, asking me about the dissapearances around the neighborhood, it never happened again so close to home.
She also picked up on the concept of humor rather quickly, and I soon discovered that hers is a very fucked up kind. She loves trying to freak me out any time she can. I've always been a big fan of body horror in movies, but seeing it writhing and twisting right in your face in real life..theres just something very, very different about it.
Its strange how you can get used to it though, much like paramedics or morticians who constantly have to see the twisted remains of car crashes, you just sorta grow numb to it. Or maby i'm just fucked up.
She always seems to be 'in the mood' right after a hunt, and i'll hear her slithering and twisting behind me, 5 different mouths all whispering my name, the warm, meaty feeling of her arms/legs/whatever appendages she's duplicated, twisting and cracking as they slide around my waist.
I'll feel a scream welling up from within my throat, but i've gotten better at keeping it to myself. I know she'd never hurt me, but still, all those teeth and eyes, feeling my neck and face getting enveloped in all that wet, drooling, vibrating vicera.. she still hasn't quite figured out the concept of kissing, no matter how much I try to show her. I've pretty much given up at this point. I try to be a romantic, but she usually just splits her head open at the lips and laughs and starts sucking directly on my face. Maby this is how her species does romance?

The initial human consumption could even be forgiven. I mean, she's a Lovecraftian-type alien by the looks of it. Concepts like the sanctity of sentient life are, to them, foreign concepts they never even thought of seriously. It's a thing they have to learn about, and even then, they won't exactly "get it" like we do. Like, she'd stop eating people, but only because her lover asked nicely or because grilled and seasoned steak tasted better than simple raw human flesh. Morality, as we understand it, wouldn't really enter into the equation.
Note: ya can't exactly grill and season human flesh. The smell is both pungent and awful and it *will* alert the neighbors that something is very, oh so very wrong. She may quite enjoy that delicacy, but it would also "plant the beacon" for the torch wielding mob/eldritch hunters/investigators if ya catch my meaning.

I see his eyes gazing up to me as we bond once again. His scent, his pheromones, his sweat, I absorb it all until my body loses cohesion. I don't think he knows how much I love him, what he does for me. I've consumed so many of his kind, but none of them have this taste, this arrangement of DNA, so sweet and satisfying. His manner of reproduction is so strange, but the massive influx of his protiens at the end makes me weak. So potent, so concentrated, I grip the celieng, I form more limbs to hold him down as he makes me howl, as I feel my insides rearranging, reforming. I wonder if he would enjoy being a father?
Perhaps later, once things are more safe. The fledglings metabolism would need so much biomass at first that I doubt this entire city would be enough. Too much attention isn't a good thing in this place. I've tried to be very careful with sating my hunger, having to go further and further away. I've even tried eating the large, dumb 4 legged beasts I find in the country. So much mass, but they lack the taste, and leaves me feeling a bit less like myself afterwards. We need to move. Somewhere larger.. perhaps not in a city itself, but a home next to one? I found out that there are places with millions of people packed into a tiny space. Places where so many people normally go missing that noone seems to notice..

Conversely, I would argue that such concepts are flaws based in our individualistic, animalistic past. We place such great value on the individual because that is all we have ever known. But, if we were to look at it from a societal viewpoint, not every individual deserves to exist. The benevolent, the hard working, the self-less givers, they surely have a place in society because their actions are the foundation of society. It is that sacrifice of personal pleasures to serve the greater good that allows nations to flourish and rule amongst the stars. But the greedy, the individuals who see nothing outside of theirselves and only work for their own self intrests, not only are their actions against the core values of society, they are a direct threat to its existence. From a societal view-point, these people have no right to continued existence, and their removal is an act of self defence.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have no problems with my waifu eating corrupt polititians and gangbangers.
Also, I was planning on wrighting something based on "the devourer" from that one image, gonna do it soon
