I doubt any of that is true, since there was only one Welsh king, Gruffydd ap Llywelyn, and he did not have an English duke for a brother. On my mother's side I am descended from the Chiefs of a clan of Siol Alpin, and as such through the Kings of Dalriada in Scotland and in Ireland, and through the Clanna Dedad to Sin, a prehistoric King of the Érainn and a contemporary of Caesar.
There are some wonderful opportunities for fuckery in that 2000+year span though, particularly in the 1700s and the 900s, so it's not really as impressive as it seems. Mainly it is a testament to just how autistic tanistry really is.
