I've been doodling and drawing vocaloids and thought about making a thread for it on here
if that's ok. I've been drawing on drawplanet.net and its kinda funny but just seeing a vocaloid
related name I started drawing the vocaloids. If you like to draw them too you can post your
drawings or art here in this thread. There's also the oekaki applet, it works fine too.

I think you could use some info about golden mean proportion
Your lines are good but I think your proportions are a bit off. If you notice like in the miku pic in the background on this css, the eyes are usually sort of in the center height or just below that compared with the size of the head. I guess you could say the face is a bit big when compared to the size of the head in your pic which makes it look a bit awkward. Also the spacing of the lines for the neck gives the impression that there's a lot of muscle on that neck since it looks so big compared with the head, the neck is also a bit long. I really like the lineart for the eyes and overall (when ignoring the proportions) keep practicing

Yeah I know what you mean, I definitely should look up some stuff regarding it. I was planning on buying Araki's book which comes out soon and should go into detail a bit about that.
I noticed some things like the neck, but others I wasn't so aware of. I also get a bit anxious in changing things because I'm scared of messing it up in the process, maybe I'll get a tablet soon.
Yeah, I do think that your one definitely has better proportions, it put into perspective about some problems mine had.
