Its nifty that in the last few years there are dedicated launchers for modpacks so you can just download the launcher, click on a pic or insert an url thingy for a modpack and then it can automatically install the modpack for you.
Last year I was playing on a Sky Factory 2 server (very /hover/ I know) which is basically a feature rich skyblock, I'll see if its still up if you're interested or we could play vanilla or another modpack if you prefer

I think Attack on Titan is overrated, but it's a wild ride and lots of fun in a zombie horror movie kind of way. When it was in full swing here, the MCM Expo had loads of cosplayers representing that show alone. I've never seen anything take off as much as AoT did here.

There's also Hyper Japan Expo which is more focused on japanese culture than anime. I went there twice, the first time was because I was invited by a friend and the second time was because they had a Miku and IA concert on. I found a Teto cosplayer there and took a photo of her.
I might attend Hyper Japan this July because REOL will be attending.
I like the pictures which show the two and give off that authentic sibling relationship vibe, much like this one.

Expos are fun. At MCM, you get to see cosplayers, both good and bad, there are panels with producers, actors and so on, they have the latest games available to play and there are loads of stalls selling merchandise.
Hyper Japan is more subdued. It's generally quieter with more shops selling traditional tea sets, classic artwork and the like. They even had a stall for the JET program last time I attended, and I remember watching a traditional tea ceremony and kendo demonstration at the first one I attended. It's just a good time in general. I love learning about foreign cultures, which is part of the reason I've travelled often in the past.
I think everyone has had that embarrassing anime phase at some point in their lives.

Tonnes of merchandise though I can't vouch for their authenticity. You can easily find vocaloid figures, plushies, posters, artbooks, and the games are sometimes available to play. Project Diva F 2nd was there at the last Hyper Japan I attended, though I spent some time playing Cha-La Head- Cha-La on Taiko no Tetsujin instead.
