I heavily disagree with the socializing part. This should happen (and mostly does happen) in high school really. Less people, you basically know everyone, you get to join sports/clubs, find your niche, develope some social skills considering friends and dating (hopefully)… college is way too anonymous to get socialized. I'd even go as far it has a negative effect unless you've already been socialized in school because college gives you the opportunity to shut yourself off completely. The only people who have a great social life in college are the ones who already got socialized in high school. I barely know anyone who really changed after high school.
