GO! GO! ZEPPELI Edition
Steel Ball Run (スティール・ボール・ラン Sutīru Bōru Ran) is the seventh part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2004 and in Ultra Jump between 2005 and 2011.
Set in the U.S. in 1890, the story follows Johnny Joestar, a paraplegic ex-jockey, and Gyro Zeppeli, master in a mystic art named the Spin, as they compete with a vast number of others in the Steel Ball Run race: a mad-dash across America for a grand prize of 50 million dollars.

Yeah he's cool but him and Gyro's balls have already touched so one of them must be eliminated before it gets gay.guess it's just gonna stay gay
>>8954
I know I said it before but the way the steel balls return to the user might be my favorite part about them.
>>8949
kek nice analogy
>>8959
Comfy set of panels. Glad Araki is taking breaks from the fighting to flesh out the race a bit more.
>>8961
Gyro has used up/lost a lot of steel balls in this race, it makes me wonder where he gets them. I remember he said he made one by using railroad tracks but then does he paint them or what? I would assume his country sends him a couple during every race break but we never see him with a stockpile of them.

On second thought, regarding the steel balls, maybe these green circles on his armor is where Gyro keeps them.

>guess it's just gonna stay gay
Nope, that was Gayism's last gasp.
>I remember he said he made one by using railroad tracks but then does he paint them or what?
They way I reckon is that just as he can create the spin from his will on anything, like when he did it in the water, he uses it on a piece of steel until the friction heats it up and it's forced into its perfect shape. Then Gyro carves his designs into it and when it cools down it retains a green color from some kind of chemical process.
I'll post this early since it has nothing to do with anything.

Whoops, I accidentally finished reading part 7 last night. Couple of things I can share:
>Gayism's body will twitch a couple of times
>If you had trouble following some of the weirder fights, like in part 6, you might get lost with D4C
>Funny Valentine did nothing wrong.
I'm thinking after tonight's session I'll make a new thread. Either
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap Edition
Or
Filthy Acts at a Reasonable Price Edition
Or
DOJYAAAAAAAAAN! Edition
I also moved some chapters around to help pacing and shitty cliffhangers. Volume 23 is now empty. Rather we'll start early for Volume 24. I'll gauge how early when we do a 5 chapter night, but I would think a half hour would suffice. Tentative end for part 7 is now the 6th

Yeah I really like him, he is a badass with interesting powers and a cool design. His personality is great too(typical badass but with a good sense of humor) and his motives/backstory really flesh him out making him believable. I love Jotaro but I think I am starting to like Gyro more then him. Dio and Joseph are still my favorites though.

What's so funky about a cripple fighting imaginary friends with his fingernails by thinking about Naruto really hard while in his pajamas?

of Lucy's neck being way to fucking long. He's also pretty much the only nip that actually draws noses so that must look odd when you aren't used to it. The rest is an acquired taste.

>Johnny loses his powers with the saint parts being taken.
>Hot Pants leaves Johnny a piece of the spine out of pity even though it goes against her character.
>Johnny finally loses it, but can still use his stand with no explanation.
Damnit Araki you just need to have someone being amazed and commenting that Johnny's evolutions have given him ownership of the stand.
>Killing Full Metal Retard makes you feel guilty so you bear his sins.
>Funny Valentine shoots him and claims that since it was "just" there will be no sin transfer
>Even though Johnny killing him is clearly self-defense.
Couldn't Araki just leave that silly part out and leave it as the president fatally wounded him, but was able to get out of range before the sin transfer could take place? That's perfectly acceptable. Never mind that Civil War probably wouldn't last long on him anyways, you guys will see why tomorrow night.

Correct. Then Part 8 will feature a different JoJo, in a different time and place. Specifically 2011 in a suburb of S-city, Japan.
I would recommend watching the anime, which has been animated up to part 4, and reading the manga from part 5. Typically anime adaptations lose something in translation, but the studio behind JoJo's recreates everything scene for scene panel for panel. They really breathe life into the series.

I can't wait to see what the complete corpse body is capable of. If it's a non time related power then it will show Araki has really grown as a storyteller.

>Yeah it's pretty loose writing but this part has been so much better then the last couple that I still really like it.
They are only minor grievances. I said there were some shit flecks on this fight so I wanted to clarify them. Really the only annoying thing is that Johnny will still have only have Act 2 visible when using Act 3's abilities.
>I can't wait to see what the complete corpse body is capable of. If it's a non time related power then it will show Araki has really grown as a storyteller.
I did say all the main villains have time-based stands, and I think that's technically true, but you all may disagree with me lumping D4C into that category. I will not say what the corpse does exactly, other than it is not time-based and Gyro already kinda described it.

Just follow that link and watch as you please.
To be specific however:
>Season 1 consists of Part 1: Phantom Blood and Part 2: Battle Tendency
>Season 2 is the first half of Part 3: Stardust Crusaders
>Season 3, labeled Battle in Egypt, is the second half of Part 3
>Season 4 is all of Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable
>Part 5 is named Venteo Aureo and might have an anime premier in April
>Part 6 is Stone Ocean and will probably be adapted in 2020
>Part 7, the one we're currently on, is named Steel Ball Run, and may be animated by 2022
>Part 8, JoJolion, is currently unfinished. We intend to get our feet wet with it and move on until it finishes.
Yes, start from the beginning. Every part has something good to offer.
