How should I work to improve my prose? I'm writing nearly every day, but I'm looking to accelerate my work. My prose is pretty mediocre right now, but I want to polish it into something marvelous.

One could give some useless general advice such as read your shit out loud, write poetry to widen your vocabulary and develope your sense of rythm, and really think what makes prose you and other people think is good good.

You learn how to write well by being exposed to good writing. Find a book you feel has good prose and actively try to steal the author's style.

Like the difference between literature and Literature, it is difficult to define. All I know is that you should be able to recognize it if you see it.

If you post a sample I can give you feedback. Otherwise my only advice is to try to practice imitating a variety of authors with styles you enjoy until you find what fits you best.

This is a rather rhetorical question from you. Everyone knows the answer to your question. You just need to read more.
