No matter where you go you'd be living in a society of strangers who are complete aliens to you. Expat life isn't all it's cracked up to be.
You'd be better off waiting to see what happens in regard to the current political situation in the U.S. Things could easily head south pretty quickly, but there's a decent chance the country will end up getting back on course.
Besides that, the U.S. has tons of places that would be great to go inna woods if the Happening finally comes.

You could be right, but how effective would that even be unless you're willing to go all the way like Andrew Anglin or weev have done?
I almost think it would be better just to develop social ties to your community and work on obtaining valuable skills (gardening, electronics knowledge, etc.) in case of an economic downturn or even a complete social collapse. Of course, that first part would be pretty hard to implement if you're an introvert or have problems getting on well with most people.

im not sure what the point of living is but some people seem to have figured out what they enjoy about it. some people are able to find meaning through a normal life, or trying to enjoy every moment to its fullest, as if its some precious rare thing. yeah so maybe it is precious, well thats why im finding it harder and harder to enjoy what i used to enjoy. the methods used by the tyrants who rule this world disgust me to no end. i cannot enjoy myself when im reminded that our planet is sown with so much manufactured hatred and pain.
the people of this earth could be enjoying themselves, maybe you wouldnt have to feel so alone even after your relatives have died if people werent so distant and defensive after theyve learned how cruel the world is. instead through no fault of our own we have to live in a world of suffering and strife because those are things that keep these damned tyrants behind a smoke screen while they cripple the whole world so that you have no choice but to play their damn game and buy their temporary solution over and over.
