If you think things are bad now, just wait until you get older.

in all honesty, i think people are good at mantaining a constant level of sadness thru out their life.
i dont think im sader now, when things are bad, than i was when i was in high school, despite my problems being worse now.

I'm so much happier being an adult, not having to deal with out of control hormones, and the public fool system.

Exercise, learn to fit into normie things and learn to play sports. Watch normie shows. Even if you are strongly individualistic with uncommon hobbies and ideals hide it because the world hates those that are different.
Even if you are average act like you are top 5% human specimen. If there is a girl you like buy her a nice chocolate or ask her out. If the 3dpd rejects you buy a bag of cheap Hershey kisses for the class (i.e. all the girls) for Valentine's day.
Don't be a romantic principled stubborn bastard like hollywood teaches you to be. By being that idiot that brought chocolate for the class there will be at least 1 or 2 girls who will find you interesting. ACT ON IT. DATE ONE OF THOSE.
Don't listen to your parents. They are old and stupid and have less understanding of future trends. My dad didn't give a fuck about my opinion and I wanted to take programming instead of Spanish but I was forced to hablo espanol. If you're in a religious household understand that strict beliefs are good for developing discipline but will ultimately limit your life experiences and can even impair your ability to think freely and openly.
Don't listen to your parents if they tell you to wait till marriage - that is surely the path to wizardhood. Reading the scriptures is fine. Just don't interpret it literally, nor should you accept anyone else's interpretation of it. Read it yourself. Accept and reject the parts that will make you a stronger and better version of yourself.

Don't ask for advice on imageboards. Nothing you'll see on them is worth listening to, let alone actually following due to the quality of their typical residents.

This is decent advice, but I disagree with the first point. Don't be a normie, except to your girlfriend. Learn what it means to be hated, and feared.
Begin cultivating an understanding of the animalistic reasons why normies huddle together, conform to each other, and deride the things they do not understand. Once you have been on the outside of society, looking in, you can begin to apply biology and psychology to explain it. Make it give you what you want. As well as understand what true kindness and compassion really is.

My advice is not to be a normie. It's to be able to successfully fake being one.
If you lived too long on the outside of the society, even if you can understand them, blending in with them becomes near impossible.

I'd take that board with a big pinch of salt. There seems to be about a 50/50 mix of good advice and terrible advice.

One bit of advice for you from a 40 year old
Before you buy something - anything - on impulse, ask yourself this :
"What the fuck am I supposed to do with it?"
If you can answer it w/o excuses like 'brief moment of gratification' then go ahead and buy it.

Interesting experiment: try buying things in time instead of money because time is money.
