Any other commies here, or just fascists/apolitical folks?
>capitalism will crush the bones of the working class into dust so that the few may profit off of their labor
>you will never see the workers of the world united in solidarity
>you will never sleep tight in your personally decorated bunker on the Albanian coast commune
>capitalists are just as trapped into their own vicious cycle of profiteering
>the world is getting more and more classcucked, as alienated workers with no clear worker movement either seek the comfort of unbridled social liberalism, or blind hatred of their Other in fascism (latter being very unlikely, since neoliberalism has placed social liberalism in a hegemonic ideological position next to its laissez-faire capitalist economics)

Well, then you ought to be a communist like me (for a largely either stateless or small state/federation/syndicate society, in which everything but your personal property is collectivized, and the workplace is organized democratically). Unless you have a different understanding of left-libertarianism, that is. Perhaps with "communist" you instantly associate me as a tankie or a Stalinist, which is not the case for me.

Nowadays I don't conform to any true ideology, so I just end up moving between the highlighted areas on the second image depending on how I'm feeling at the time.

Insofar as your broad definition of communism is concerned, then, yes we will agree on some things. I took your identification of communism as what would be labeled as such on the compass, that is, the top-left corner. I was assuming the much stricter definitions, and for that, I apologize.
As far as the compass itself, I didn't have the unedited image on me, so I went and found a facsimile I knew existed in another board's sticky.

The goal of political debate is, ultimately, to destroy the core beliefs of another and replace them with one's own.
Discourse gets messy, then, because one's core beliefs are used to define oneself.

Without discussing the politics themselves, I know that feel. Having a clear picture of how things should and could operate (in your view), and living in a world that differs vastly from that vision, is a very unkind experience.
You feel alienated, isolated, depressed.
Find happiness in whatever way you can, OP. But don't pin it on a light at the end of the tunnel. Try to live in the moment when possible. That's the only way to cope.

Are people supposed to be offended by the "Leftists Now" side of the second pic? It's just pictures of normal protesters, mixed in with SJWs and other people who I mostly don't recognize, except for Cornel West, who I think is an interesting speaker even when I disagree with him, and Chris Matthews, who I don't think is even really left-wing.
And I don't get why Stalin is on there either. I'd rather have to deal with SJWs than be sent to a gulag.

Bingo. The very thing that makes political debate what it is is very /unkind/. Though I'd say that certain types of people are more adept at handling it than others without it degrading into a mudslinging contest. As much as I hate the phrase itself, politics is personal. The thing is you really gotta emotionally detach yourself if you want to get things done or not completely overdo it and make some bad mistakes like I did in the past.
As for my own identity I guess I don't really have one. You can say that I'm left-leaning I guess.

I very much doubt the system OP is advocating is anything like what Stalin or Mao implemented. Stalin and Mao were both authoritarians, yet all the socialists/communists in this thread are libertarians. None of them would be building any gulags.
The mistake your making is one that a lot of people make when discussing things like this. You're paying more attention to the words themselves rather than the ideas they represent. Both OP and Stalin might call their ideal systems "communism", but what they mean by that is completely different. What you're saying is basically the same as using the DPRK (North Korea) as an example of why democracy is a bad system because it has democracy in its name.
Forget the word communism. Americans have been fed propaganda against it for more than 50 years. Just consider the actual policies OP supports.
Also, if you think that modern capitalism is /kind/, I have a bridge to sell you.

if you have the time and energy, sure. but lots of people who work, even in the service industry, are too consumed by their jobs to find the time to do that. just learning programming isn't a viable option for a lot of people, and even if it were, not everyone can be a programmer. someone will end up having to do the menial, soul-crushing jobs regardless, at least until automation really kicks in

also, you're acting as if people in their school years don't have to spend their time working. There is nothing /kind/ about far-left thought. It is a group of ideologies that become nihilistic through materialism and denial of the existence of anything that challenges it. Unless you're an official, in which case you get to live in splendor.
And I don't know if any leftists have a shred of credibility left here anyways, considering the campaign of subversion their board has actively, intentionally, and maliciously executed on literally every other fucking board on the site and even websites abroad.

Hatred of the other is unnecessary to do what is needed to better ones people. If a policy helps our people it is a good policy. If a policy does not help our people in the struggle for survival it is a bad policy. Not conservative or liberal thinking, but tribal thinking. Thinking tribally it is best to pursue your group interests in a systematic, rational way. Economic system is irrelevant in that. Political universalism is the politics of fools.

What's best for one's people can be what's directly worse for an individual's liberty. A policy that ensures purity by banning interracial marriages l, for example, directly infringes on the individual's right to choose who they marry and why. The ability for all freethinking adult individuals to actualize themselves in whatever way they choose, barring infringing other individuals, free from want and fear, is the prime goal of civilization, in my opinion.

With all due respect, you DO realise that a communist society will STILL make you work yourself to death? For less reward too than under capitalism too.
It isn't a free ride, the crux of a communist society is that you do your bit for that society without question lest you be deemed useless and are removed. You would be treated akin to a worker ant.I'm no right winger but I know what side my bread is buttered and at least under capitalism I can earn a better life for myself .
