Hey /hgg/, I've gotta game that I can't seem to translate, so I could use some help:

It's in Japanese, runs on the RPGM MV WOLF engine and needs an ENG translation. Nobody can seem to do it, not even those huge, fugly weenies at Fag95zone.

I tried using that "text Auto Translator ++" thingy with no success.

I've also tried VNR and several other hooking systems, but they didn't work either. I probably just sucked when trying them, however since Imma dummy when it comes to this stuff.

I've also tried looking through the game files to simply extract the in game text for translation without success, as I can't seem to find the in game dialogue text storage location. Menus yes, dialogue, no.

A full Japanese into English patch is what I'm looking for, please.

You can find a few bits of dialogue in the numbered "map" files inside the data folder. Translator++ can recognize them since they're literally just text on the .json. I tried translating a line here and it worked, except all the "i"s turned into hearts for some reason. These are likely just the npcs you can talk to and objects you can interact with in the map.

The rest of the text is probably directly tied to game events. Try looking in "scenario" at the root folder of the game and you'll see a bunch of .sl files, my guess is the rest will be scattered around those. You might have to decrypt them and look in each, don't know if there's an efficient way of doing that. And probably re-encrypt them after editing for it to work?

Often tutorial screens are tied to images so if you can't find the text for those they might be in the image folder.

You can find tools for decrypting the files through google but I'm not sure about reencrypting.

Said TXT files are still in Japanese.

Do I translate the diologue into ENG, re-save the TXT into SL and just overwrite the old SL files?

Tried it but it throws errors for pretty much everything you do. Might have to change something on the scripts for you to use the txts.

Yes but obviously keep a backup of the original sl files in case you fuck something up. I'd suggest always running the game again after being done with a file to check for errors or wrong text wrapping and whatnot.

Use Translation aggregator with ATLAS and google's web interface. I think you can find an easy set up over in the eragames thread. I mean, there's no magic to making machine translation not suck other than using multiple machine translations, an online dictionary for idioms that the machine translations fuck up (try using http://www.edrdg.org/cgi-bin/wwwjdic/wwwjdic?1C), and some basic grammatical knowledge to try and hack up something that is true to the meaning of the original and doesn't sound like garbage. That last bit is something that even competent translators go back and forth on.

The 100% save is for talking to characters and looking at their Hscenes, hence why the 100% save starts inside the "all HScenes room". If you leave the Hscenes room, you can go back into the game world and resume playing (the game will start with the first girl), since the game itself doesn't have a true "ending".

If on Firefox, do you have the MEGA extension? It's needed to open MEGA data on the website.

If you have Ublock Origin:

Under OPTIONS for Firefox add-ons, click the ellipsis, click options, "I am and advanced user", then close those options, click the UBO icon, click "requests blocked", then on the RIGHT SIDE of the pane for local use, click the three bars so they turn green "allow local" for MEGA, then the padlock to save the changes.) Double check blocking permissions and refresh the page.

For downloads larger than 1GB you must use the desktop version, since the MEGA site itself doesn't handle files larger than 1GB. Succubus Mama is 1.12 GB.

To use the desktop app, login into the MEGA desktop app with your MEGA account, click ADD then IMPORT LINKS. Copy the MEGA URL from THIS page into the clipboard, then paste it into the box, then hit submit. You should be good to go from there.

Where does the game freeze?

If you choose the first option at the main menu (most likely "NEW GAME" ??, I dunno Japanese), the game should work fine. Leave the bar after talking to the NPC with the CHECK MARKER above their head, walk along the path out to the forest while activating each CHECK MARKER function, then walk into the staircase thingy and mansion court yard garden.

In the garden out front, grab one flower pot and place it onto the fountain on the other side, then do that for the other side of the "aisle"; the front door should open. Get attacked by the fairy maid, Call of Duty Style quick time her off of you, enter the mansion and viola, your ready for the game proper.

If you choose the second main menu ("load game"??) and choose file 1, you'll start in the all scenes room.

ACTIVATE one of the crystals and you can:

OPTION 1: replay the lewd scene

OPTION 2: View the lewd scene CG

OPTION 3: leave the menu selection

Of course, you can always leave the room and play where you left off… which will be the first Succubus of the game….
