Why do 99% of commission artists treat their paying customers like shit? They act like they're enduring slavery to draw what other people want and often shit on paying customers behind their backs for having differing tastes. They clearly need the cash yet act like this work is beneath them. They insist on keeping ownership of the finished artwork, cheating the paying customer, because copyright law is fucked up and doesn't count this as "work for hire" by default. It's very rare I'll find an artist that says the buyer gets the pic.
Paheal, e621 and other sites refuse to let commissioners DNP what they paid for, further fucking the customers in the ass.
I bet you if enough buyers refused to pay unless they got better treatment, artists would have no choice but to do it. You artists need us to pay your bills, we don't really need you.
