The rules are simple and mostly apply to the creation of threads on /fringe/:

if you ever study the history of influential anonymous works of literature on religion, there is usually quite a bit of a freaky mystery that goes along with it

This is the most fun book (Psychomancy) of all of Atkinson and he explains how to do what the CIA noobs wanted to do very well in his book. I can do all of what is spoken of in this book so I am speaking from experience when I can say, this book is the best, and will set you on the correct path.

blavatsky wrote a book i've read on astral projection and from what i could tell it is pretty legit, however she says it won't avail you if you are seeking personal gain or seeking some sort of ability for yourself or other kind of gain….i suppose it is only for those who are esoteric seekers or something

I agree that a healthy amount of mystery is a good thing when it comes to occultic texts, the problem is that the authors of said texts can never cover their asses. A good example of something similar would be the simon necronomicon. Everyone with a brain knows peter lavenda wrote it. Because the man couldn't help but fuckin' trademark it. Kybalion is the same way, Atkinson just had to use his own private publishing company, and list his name on the french publication as the author.
